Compared to other hotels this place is just right. Great as a base to explore the island. The rooms are lovely and clean. The food is good with a varied menu too. The beach is almost a private affair as the hotel fits around its crescent shape with a shallow bathing area protected by an outcrop of small rocks. The added bonus of a beach bar with food is also a great plus. We would definitely return here.

I originally booked one night and ended up staying 3 weeks, I loved this hotel so much. The receptionists were all super nice and helpful and the manager as well. I stayed in a room upstairs to the beachfront and I loved the views in the morning and evenings. Rooms were cleaned very well and breakfast was very nice. I would definitely stay there again! Many thanks to all staff for making it such a good experience!

Coconut Court was an excellent place to stay. I stayed here for ten days with my 60 year old mother in December 2022. We had breakfast included in our stay. The hotel is directly on the beach and includes free sun loungers. The pool looked nice but we never actually went since the beach was right there! The staff were super friendly. The hotel was super nice and clean and they provide beach towels also. The rooms are a pretty good size and the balcony has a nice view out to the ocean. The little booking office for excursions was also super helpful and meant you could be directly picked up from the hotel. The hotel is right on the main road up to Bridgetown so you can easily hop on a local 'bus' right outside the hotel for $3.50 each way. Our toilet broke a couple of times but we called reception and a repair man came within 30 minutes and fixed it. The only downside was that the service in the restaurant was pretty slow - but that's not just at the hotel - it's pretty much in the whole of Barbados - you have to get used to island time! If you bear this in mind from the get go, then you won't mind it. Also, there is no lift so if you have accessibility issues then you may find this difficult.

Lovely staff (restaurant, reception, housekeeping) with large clean room, comfy beds and good shower. Fab beach with plenty of shade and ok swimming pool. Would benefit from a more varied menu (with more veg/vegan options), glass rather than plastic containers for cocktails (as made the drinks taste a bit weird) Overall good location and value for money

Staff were fantastic, location was excellent as quieter than Rckley Beach, yet only a 15-minute walk to there if you want a livelier vibe. Thoroughly recommend

a decent hotel, very clean and with nice views of the beach. Service was OK too albeit not overwhelmingly friendly with the exception of the tour organising desk. the pool is a bit small and hotel furniture a little old. Nice stretch of beach in front of the hotel with sunbeds readily available. no sun umbrellas though. you have to find your own shade underneath the trees. didn't like the restaurant too much, found it overpriced and with little variety on the menu but there are other good eating options close by. very strict check out rules but the have a hospitality room to use for showers while waiting for a late pick-up, but those showers had only cold water. and oh yes: the place has no elevators.

It’s touted as a 3 star hotel. But it provides 5 star amenities. It’s right on a beautiful beach with ample natural palms for those who want some shade. It has a full beach bar and the restaurant serves better than average themed meals (Italian, curry night, meat lovers, etc) at reasonable (for Barbados) prices. The hotel also hosts events like karaoke and movie nights on the beach. It’s very quiet, catering primarily to boomer adults. The only negative is the location is a bit far from other local attractions for those not so ably inclined. It’s a good 20 minute walk to Carlisle Bay along sketchy sidewalks. However, it’s right along H7 where there are plenty of buses, taxis and mini-vans (ZR) so travel anywhere is easy. We would definitely return here again.

The place is nice. The apartment 10A is nice to a point. It really needs work. The toilet has the bathroom area smelling like urine. I complained about it to the staff and they sent housekeeping back to clean but the smelled returned without me even using the restroom. The internet service needs to really be upgraded which it should be done by now. My phone was not allowing me to make local calls. I had to get my family to call me instead. I did call for someone to fix it but that never occurred . The apartment really needs an upgrade itself. Some of the staff were really nice. The others needed customer service retraining. I doubt I will return to this location. I left really unhappy. I just tolerated the situation.

Great for relaxing get away. The half board meal plan was worth it and staff friendly and accommodating. Hotel pool and beach perfect for family, couples or individual travellers

I love this hotel it's a family run with very friendly staff. It's located on the beach with a bar and restaurant. Ted and Vaida are very helpful with organizing trips and Ted does a great Island tour it's fun and packed with lots of information about the Island. We have stayed twice and will return again.

Just returned from an amazing holiday at Coconut Court Beach Hotel. Its a great location right on the beach with its own sunloungers so you are not just laying on the beach. Captain Charlies bar is great, nestling under the trees on the beach, ideal if you want a drink with your midday snack, and later on with its happy hour. The hotel staff are very professional, always smiling, very pleasant and polite, they help, advise and also recommend to you places, bars etc to go to. The bedroom was large, very clean, well presented and maintained, the mattress on the bed was amazing, sooooo comfortable as opposed to some hotels I have stayed in. It has a large south facing terrace that gives you excellent in your face sea views. The location of the hotel is good with some excellent restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. The lady in the shop that advises and sells the excursions was very helpful , and spot on with her recommendations, not at all pushy, just wanted the best for her client.

Our family stayed 9 days at the Coconut Court Hotel. There are two lodging options...beach front hotel rooms or apartments annex across the road. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment ... bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper level and living room and kitchenette were on the lower level. Each bedroom had an AC unit and the living room had a fan. Pros: courteous, helpful staff, 24/7 security at the hotel, some security at the annex, onsite free parking lots, clean environment. Pool, restaurant and bar (beach front) with nightly activities such as a live band poolside, and movie on the beach, etc. Cons: our apartment had a kitchenette (fridge, stove, coffee maker, toaster, and electric water mug). The entire apartment including kitchenette and all appliances, bathrooms, closets, are quite dated and in desperate need of an update to include replacement of AC units. One of the AC units leaked water during the night and flooded the bedroom. Maintenance repaired it, but we still had some leaking the following day. Management was attentive to our needs and worked to remedy it. Overall, we had a pleasant stay aside from the minor hiccups. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely hotel, originally booked when rules required a quarantine on arrival, but kept the booking in when covid rules relaxed. Really nice staff, the restaurant serves lovely breakfast and the Tiki bar over the road is a nice bar and restaurant if you want to stay local. You are right on the beach and the pool is nice, the beach bar serves you whilst on the hotel sun beds. Only possible downside if you require disabled or elderly easy access there are only stairs and no lifts. Rooms are nice and spacious and easy to hop around the island in taxis and buses.

This hotel is very nice indeed. Food is 1st star rating. The staff are extreamly friendly. The whole place is very well maintained and very clean. The beach is so nice. Entertainment at the hotel is good too. Its not ideal for children as isn't much to do for them apart from swim in sea or pool and snorkel but my 11 year boy old absolutely loved it!! And wants to return again. When we return we will stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Hotel does all boards for eating but doesn't Includw drinks. Would make a fab all inc hotel tho if a bit more Entertainment and drinks and snacks Included. We loved this place. ❤️

Stayed for a week in the partial ocean view suite, view was spectacular, just like the photos. Pool was very nice and is close to the ocean. Cleaning services were good, although we were missing extra toiletries like toilet paper, paper towel ect, however staff was really helpful in resolving any issues. AC and fan were blessed in the hot climate. Although, the prices for the food are a bit expensive, highly recommend going to local restaurants instead like Jakes, Champers, BBQ bar instead. Overall great hotel for a good price.

We have stayed many times at Coconut Court Beach Hotel and have already booked for next year. The staff and management always go out of their way to look after you and are so friendly. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barbados xx

Excellent hotel to stay at, large spacious rooms (sea view) service was superb, could not do enough to make our stay the best experience. The location is in a good place, right on the sea front, close to all amenities. Highly recommend this hotel.

All rooms with ocean views... can't beat that. It is on a busy street where the locals are not afraid to use their horns early in the morning. The beach is good, not sure if there is a crew to clean the weeds or not. The room is simple, the bathroom is simple..they do the job. Hopefully you don't go all the way to Barbados to enjoy the room.

You simply can’t go wrong with coconut court! Well appointed rooms and friendly staff. But just steps past the dinning area lies the true beauty of this gem: A stunning beach with rich natural beauty that also offers shelter from the larger waves to just relax in warm clear water.

We spent 29 days at this hotel and $50K for17 people. Rooms are nice and many of the staff are wonderful. Maria, one of the general managers, is simply outstanding. Likewise, many of the restaurant staff such as Sherina and Kameisha are excellent. The problem is that Black customers are expected to be treated less well than white customers. Our group would often wait for long periods in the restaurants only to notice that consistently white customers getting quick service. In general, the food is nothing to brag about, but it is expensive. Good rum punch though. Entertainment is lukewarm at best. The karaoke dude should be fired. The tempo of music that he plays is mostly slow and boring. He gets up several times to sing himself while customers who have signed up are waiting to sing. He also calls the bartender and server to since when hotel guests are waiting. Requests from our group of 16 African Americans and 1 white were largely ignored. Two thumbs down! If you are white, alright--if you are Black, get back!

Great reasonably priced hotel. Room was big and clean. View was excellent. Beach felt like private and was very quiet. We were deciding between Accra and Coconut court and after seeing Accra, which is next to public beach, we were glad to pick Coconut court. Staff always nice and polite. Only downsides were noise from street as doors are not soundproof and there was no drying rack on balcony. Would stay again.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK IN BARBADOS. This resort was perfect. The price is extremely reasonable for the location and feel of Ocean front resort. Very clean, staff is always “yes please” polite. Close to all the action. Food at resort is good. Loved our balcony room facing the ocean. There is an actual reef within wadding distance right at the resort. Snorkel for sure. Sand is perfect. There are large shade areas or u can bake in sun. Pool was just right. There are steps to get places, which my wife is getting knee replacement soon, but she did fine as there are many benches and not steep stairs. Do your self a favor. Save $1000’s but get first class feel.

My family and relatives, in total 5 persons, celebrated Christmas and New Years 2023 at the fantastic family run Coconut Court Hotel. I was at the hotel for almost 3 weeks and can’t say enough of how amazing the hotel, staff, rooms, grounds, pool and beach were. This hotel should be rated as a 4-5 star hotel and not a 3. Other than the reasonable room prices [compared to other hotels on the island] I chose this hotel because it was family run. It did not feel corporate at all. They pay attention to detail. One or two of the owners were always around and easily approachable. The staff was always friendly and courteous. The grounds were maintained daily and so clean. The dinners were always delicious, changing daily and at a very high standard. I can’t say enough about how amazing the servers were and especially the main chef. He cared so much that if something wasn't right in his eye, he would come to your table [or to the beach] to apologize. The beach is to die for. It’s expansive, sandy and the ocean was calmed by a family built reef that one can snorkel at. The beach had a section of trees where you could get shade and at the same time watch the local monkeys hop from tree to tree above you.. It was magical. The hotel had an amazingly professional courteous security staff located on the beach daily. One security member named Tiffany was exceptional, kind and told wonderful stories about her life and family living and growing up in Barbados. I stayed in the Deluxe Ocean front room which was at pool deck level. This room was convenient because you didn't have to go up too many steps to get to the beach, restaurant or street. The room was large and the air con was never an issue. The rooms were cleaned daily by amazing hard working staff. Lastly, if you are older or have mobility issues, this hotel may not be for you. There is no elevator and to get from your room to the beach or to the street. Note that you would have to climb up some stairs. Forgot one other thing, The bus stop is just outside the hotel entrance, great eateries are close by and the boardwalk is a few minutes stroll along the beach. This hotel is conveniently located close to many shops and great dining. I love this hotel, the attention to detail and that its family run so much that I will be going back in 2024. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed my stay there, 19 nights. Great beach. Staff were excellent. Very good service and very personable. Be aware there are no elevators so if you have mobility issues such as bad knees I do not recommend this place. Even if you are on the ground floor quite a few stairs down to restaurant, pool and beach.

Good beach front hotel. Room was a good size and had lovely views onto the beach. As it's situated right next to road you can hear the hum of traffic but it didn't bother us. Didn't use their bar or restaurant so cannot comment on them. The only thing I would highlight is that they don't have lifts, so if you don't like walking up and down stairs, this wouldn't be the place for you.

  • 2/5 Lynda B. 5 months ago on Google
Rooms are exceedingly basic for the price. Lovely welcome by staff in reception with a glass of rum or fruit punch, but that was where it ended. - Rooms very basically appointed. - Toiletries and refresh provisions were very sparse. - Air-conditioning was very weak and made little impact in making the room temperature more comfortable. - The outside landing and stairs were very, very slippery when wet, this is a huge hazard when taking into consideration the injury potential. - No lift provision meant you were hauling your own cases up flights of open air concrete staircases. Exactly what you don't need After a 9hr flight. - The view of the ocean was only possible via overlooking the tin roofline of the buildings below and not the clear vantage point as publicity photos would lead you to believe. Trying to get evening dinner was a thankless task - at both site locations (one over the street and one on the same campus), staff were abrupt and rude. Definitely not what I wanted to tolerate after having been travelling for a total of 21hrs. Breakfast was a better mannered affair with staff more receptive and attentive, but I have to say this will be my first and last stay at this establishment.

A super friendly family run hotel where you are made to feel at home from arrival. Every step of the way you are welcomed into this beautiful family. Particularly great due to their entertainment program and amazing beach front.

This local hotel is a lovely place. Stunning situation with great views from the balcony. The beach is perfect, very safe swimming out to the small reef, where we saw turtles. The rooms are v large, plenty of room. Beds comfortable and everything clean

Clean rooms and a great view (first floor, not the ground floor). Staff is very friendly and nice, and the concierge gave great tips. The only reason this is not a 5 rating is the food / drinks. Although the staff is very friendly / nice / welcoming, the price-quality of the food is a bit lost here. At the beach bar you get all your drinks in the same plastic cups (not that it is cheap), breakfast was very little for what you paid and my omelette lacked flavor. Would love to come again though, just likely would not eat at the hotel….

I booked a reservation through booking.com because of the reliability of the cancellation policy which stated that I had 3 days before my trip to cancel without penalty. Just before the 3 day mark I decided that I didn’t need the hotel anymore and cancelled my reservation at the hotel, to my utter shock I was charged a cancellation fee, I contacted them several times and they have ignored me through band through about the cancellation policy and wanting a return. All I got were automated messages with a receipt stating they had charged me a cancellation fee which was not written anywhere before booking ahead of time. Be warned this hotel will answer all your questions but then ignore you when you ask for a reimbursement of a fee they charge to your credit card when you think your card is in safe hands. Be warned, they want to make money off of you regardless if you stay or not. Do not book with them and feel safe with their cancellation policy because that’s where they will get you.

Gorgeous hotel right on the water. Beautiful view of the ocean and beach from every room. Modern updated renovations. Hotel staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The chef at the main restaurant Diego was especially amazing, my girlfriend has celiac disease and normally on vacations it can be challenging for her to find food she can eat however he made it a priority to always come and see us and he would tell her everything she could eat on the menu and would even go as far as to prepare her something else if there was not many option. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Barbados.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again the staff is so friendly and take such great care of you. It’s like a home away from home. The hostess Ms.Linda is such an amazing, sweetheart she is so warm and welcoming she made my husband’s birthday at the hotel so special. The room was spacious clean and the view of the beach was awesome. The food was excellent and so was the drinks at the beach bar. Had a blast at Coconut Courts and would recommend this beautiful hotel.

Here now. Lovely relaxed hotel with cheerful and helpful staff. Will definitely return, as soon as possible. We are staying in ‘The Annex’, appreciating the lower cost and larger space. The only drawback being that we have to cross the fairly busy road to reach beach, restaurants etc. - there is a crossing a few metres down the road and cars stop invariably. Highlight of the hotel is Coco’s restaurant and Chef Diego - beautiful food with delicate and complex flavours that have alway satisfied and made us happy. The beach is lovely with plenty of recliners, lots of space and bar service. We sit under the manicured almond trees which give enough shade to require no sunscreen! Steps from the sea this a perfect base. Will definitely return, as soon as possible.

Would not recommend. Despite the amazing location we waited over an hour for breakfast every day and couldn’t split any bills between our party. Service was second rate at best.

Cockroaches, raw chicken, hotel over a busy road. Well i dont know where to start..... i arrived for an 9 day stay with a multi generational group of 9 of us. 3 rooms booked. 1 room beautiful beach frount stunning. The other 2 rooms over the busy road. I spoke to reception to advised me i could upgrade to the other side but it was a lot more money. I couldnt justify it. I explained i wasnt aware it was over a busy road with small children it wasnt ideal. Determind to make the best i moved on i paid for full board for all of us. The food choices were limited and not very adventurous. On day 3 i noted a few cockroaches in the restraunt. (I took photos) approached a waitress who told me she wasnt suprised and they came up through the floor boards. I spoke to management who to be fair got the exterminators in the next day. Management did try to tell me they were not cockroaches untill i showed them the photos. (But imagine my anger ive just spent thousands for my fanily to be full board in a restraunt that has cockroaches) the next day exterminators were there and did the job i know this because i then saw lots of dying cockroaches everywhere (videos taken) I was served raw chicken (photo taken) Air conditioning in room 12a stopped working when i reported it they appeared to not care. I hated every moment of my time here cried more iver this holiday than i have in my life. I couldnt wait to come home

Stayed at the annex which was really good. Large place, big bed, big lounge. The small kitchen is good enough if you just want to eat some fruits you brought back from the market, not for any real cooking. The hotel restaurants are a hit and miss. Some foods are really tasty some are below average. Sometimes starters came with our after main meal. Staff was always helpful. The beach by the hotel is great with plenty of fish to see.

We spent about 2 weeks at the hotel over Christmas and New Year’s. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Apartment (Annex). The apartment was rustic, clean, and overall comfortable. We ate at Cocos Beachside Restaurant for a few breakfasts, and we were not impressed with food or service. The servers do not seem happy working for this hotel. If you stay over Christmas and New Year’s expect to pay a very expensive supplement charge – about $250 US per adult for each event. Family of 4 adults $2000 for Christmas and New Year’s. This does not include room rental, and this is a mandatory payment. The Christmas event was terrible. There was no service and the food took over 4 hours to come out of the kitchen. It appeared that most of the staff left the hotel. Cocos Beachside Restaurant was full, and no one was getting served. Some families never received food after 4 hours of waiting. Others just left the restaurant. No drinks were served – you had to go to the bar and stand in line. The food was terrible in taste and in preparation when it was served. This was the worst meal we have ever had, and we paid a huge amount for it. The hotel would not refund the cost of the meal!! The New Year’s meal was a buffet, and the food was good; however, it was still very disorganized. The poolside DJ/party was fun. We were happy with the New Years event. The beach area is very nice with a breakwater to keep the swimming area calm – great for relaxing in the ocean. The pool deck is nice with various forms of seating.

Great hotel and recently stayed for 10 nights. The hotel is in a great location and the room, facilities were really good. Had a great sea view too. Plenty of entertainment at the hotel including karaoke, live music and cinema nights. The room was frequently cleaned and fresh towels were given regularly. Thanks for the great stay

I had lunch here for a special occasion once. I was not impressed with the food, the way the food was laid out or the atmosphere. There were flies constantly swooping down on the food that I was trying to eat as well as the food on the buffet. It was nice to spend time with my family, but apart from that, not a very good experience.

Rum punch On arrival which was a nice touch. Room not ready but offered to take our bags to room so that was a bonus. Had a look around and our room was ready. Was so pleasantly surprised by our room,. It was extremely spacious, had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower, a kitchenette including fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked really well. The highlight of the room for me was the sea view from our balcony, waking up to paradise every morning. Had a breakfast in the hotel and a buffet Sunday lunch. Breakfast was fine. Buffet was overtaken by locals/non residents which would have been fine if we had been aware. We attended in our beachwear cover ups and stood out like sore thumbs. We were the ONLY residents, all other tables were taken up by locals who had dressed to impress. Would like to have been made aware this was a 'smart' buffet and also was open to non residents. We stood out like sore thumbs and couldn't wait to leave, real waste of money. Which leads me on to the main negative of the hotel... the staff. My friend and myself are friendly people and would smile and make small talk with the staff, but we got nothing back. The staff were the most unfriendly, miserable and ignorant staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Customer service training would hugely benefit them. The security staff were entirely different and alwsys had a smile and a good morning and were keen to put down sun beds in your favourite place. The pool and beach were paradise and getting a sun bed was not ever a problem for us as there are many. Employ friendly staff and I will return in a heartbeat.
