My family and I stayed here in late August for a couple of weeks. We arrived quite late to heavy rain and flooding so we’re quite anxious about the property originally - how wrong were we though. The room was huge and clean. The pool was a perfect size for a dip (the beach - best on the island in my opinion - is 2 mins walk). The restaurant, although limited in choice, always produced high quality meals which were significantly better than the sister hotels (we visited them both). No queues for the bar or for food and all the staff were fantastic. I travel all over the world for work and have the opportunity to stay in premium hotels. This hotel put most to shame with its honesty and comfort. This was an expensive holiday for us but everyone enjoyed it so much that we have booked another two weeks there next year - we can’t wait!

This place is fantastic from the moment you arrive, until you depart. Super attentive staff, pleasant air-conditioned room, a great selection of food that varied daily and included fayre from around the world mixed with Bajan delights. Beautiful planting around the site invites the local wildlife to the hotel. We saw monkeys, lizards, tree frogs and birds that visit you frequently. The beach is a minute away and absolutely stunning. We had a standard room which was clean and well presented on arrival with the air-conditioner already on and keeping the room pleasantly cool. Perfect for our arrival in 32 degree heat and high humidity. The hotel is small and intimate with only 24 rooms, but during our week there we got to know all of the guests as its a very homely place to be. Best points...the staff, the food and the hospitality. Bad points.....the toilet roll is wafer-thin. A special thank you must go to Tre, King of the bar, bus boy and waiter. Always smiling, always helpful and an asset to The Island Inn.

If you are looking for a high rise modern office style hotel, then this is not the place for you. The small complex is a single storey former rum storage depot which has been tastefully converted to a 24 bedroom hotel. It is olde worlde and quirky. The rooms are quite large with large king size bed, bathroom and dressing/storage room and air conditioning. All bedrooms have a small balcony and look into a courtyard, small garden or small pool area. The food is excellent with most days being al a carte and a couple buffet style. There is a choice of staters, main courses and desserts. I did not have a bad meal during my 10 day stay. All meals are served with wine and there is also an all inclusive bar till 11pm. All the residents were very friendly and often gathered together in the courtyard after evening. The hotel only has a small pool but Pebbles beach is literally 2 minutes walk away. It is a beautiful beach in Carlisle Bay which is a marine nature reserve with plenty of turtles. There are a couple of beach bars/eateries which are well worth trying. The staff were all very helpful and attentive, helping out with car hire, local information and form filling. All in all, an excellent hotel in a great location, close to Bridgetown and all the south cost beaches. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here at the island inn for 7 days at the beginning of November 2022. This is a lovely small hotel with not many rooms and guests which meant that you eventually get to know all of the people staying there. The staff were amazing & made sure we had everything we needed. The bar staff Lamar Trea & Terry were always lovely and we had a great time at the rum tasting. The food was also excellent with a good choice the ladies working were so friendly - Jeanette, Elise and Sharon. The pool is quite small but adequate as we spent the majority of our time enjoying the beautiful beaches within walking distance Pebbles Beach, Carlisle Bay. Saw the race horses at the beach in the morning and local green monkeys running around. Sharon at the front desk was very helpful. Easy to get around from with the local busses if you haven't hired a car. Would definitely recommend to people who enjoy a hotel with personality which is a smaller scale and more traditional. Thank you to all of the staff, BR Vania x x

We have just returned from a 10 night stay and this is a gem of a place. All staff were very welcoming on our arrival and was automatically upgraded to a superior junior suit by the pool as we had originally booked for our 30th wedding anniversary but was not to be due to the pandemic. hotel all on one level and in an excellent location for the 2 min walk to the beaches and the main street (Bay Road) to catch the buses or taxis. we had a fantastic time and met some wonderful people through out our holiday. All Staff were very friendly, accommodating and nothing was a problem. will defiantly be returning again

The best hotel in Barbados. From the excellent food to the outstanding staff. This hotel is a piece of paradise. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. It was our 2nd visit and we are already planning our 3rd.

Just went for a meeting. Parking is non existent. Definitely not a getaway spot as it's smack dab in the middle of alot of businesses. But service was ok.

I must say This is a must try. The hotel isn't the biggest but it's the coziest. The rooms are well prepared and spacious enough for a premium stay. I recommend this hotel as a must try

My experience was wonderful, from Carol right down the the room attendant ( cant recall her name). The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and everyone was welcoming and it felt very family oriented. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. My only issue was parking but that is it.

Small & Friendly hotel. The staff were amazing, the food was fantastic, the room was fine!. After seeing a few negative reviews I really think people expect a 5 star experience from a 3 star hotel. Would highly recommend!

Stayed here at the island inn for 14 days it was great the staff were amazing & nothing was to much trouble .The bar staff Lamar Trea & Terry always served us with a smile and a chat .The food was also excellent with a good choice served by the girls in the restaurant who were also lovely. The service and food are incredible. Suites are brilliant. Double rooms could do with updating eg. a small fridge could be provided. They are perfectly satisfactory but not luxurious. Would definitely stay here again, but would go for a junior suite.

The staff are fantastic they will cater for what you want and so friendly cannot fault them made to feel so welcome the same goes for the food only downside was the rooms from 1 to 10 are very tired and in need of a lot of work if going make sure that you go for a room from 11 to 24 they are so much better but you will pay more but it would be worth it this hotel only as a total of 24 rooms so a max of 48 guests but only 16 sunbeds although this was not a problem as most went out for the day this is a great place to relax for a more quiet holiday

We recently stayed at island inn hotel (June) and it was the best experience we’ve had. The Staff made our experience in Barbados, they were welcoming, knowledgable and very friendly! The chef was incredible, the a la carte and buffet food was unreal. We had food in the hotel most nights and couldn’t fault it at all. The rooms are clean and tidy, cleaners did a daily clean and were very good at their job. The reception staff were great. Lamar, tre, terry and elsie was lovely on breakfasts and evenings making some great cocktails, the manager was very welcoming to guests, each and every single member of staff was polite and friendly. Loved the managers drinks night, never get rid of this! The location we perfect to close transport and right on pebble beach.

The staff are very friendly, responsive, helpful and accommodating. It's great value for money as far as all-inclusive hotels go. The rooms are nice and clean. The food was great! I'll definitely stay here again. Loved it! My only concerns were: 1. parking is basically non existent on the property so you have to park on the beach (which is honestly only 30 seconds walk away). 2. I went in the rainy season so we had to swat a few mosquitoes... These didn't affect my five star rating though because everything else trumped these by far. For visitors, this boutique hotel is basically right on the beach and 5 minutes drive/bus ride from Bridgetown (the capital). Its also an easy, straight road (via car or bus) to nightlife in St Lawrence Gap (which is about 8 minutes away) or Oistins (Friday spot approx 20 minutes away). I can't imagine a regretful experience here.

Have just returned from Island Inn. It was full of old world charm.Staff were amazing. Couldn't do enough for you. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. I loved the pancakes. You could use the facilities of the sister hotels, Mango Bay and Sands. The receptionist will call a head and book it for you. Loved the resident monkeys. We would love to stay again.

A small intimate hotel less than 2 mins from the lovely Pebbles Beach. We stayed for 2 weeks all-inclusive. We had a superior room with a balcony near the pool. The room was fairly large with a large comfortable bed and good air-conditioning. The pool area is small but adequate as the hotel only has 29 rooms and most people go out during the day. The hotel grounds are well maintained with lovely tropical planting but I'd say unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Paths are uneven and dimly lit in some areas. They also get very slippery when wet. The food was tasty and well presented. It varied from day to day but was the same the 2nd week as the 1st. Always fish on the menu with one or two other choices. Great if you're a real fish lover. On the whole, the service was very good and staff were lovely, especially the guys on the bar. I feel they were let down by a single member of staff who, being on reception, is very visible. I spent over 10 minutes waiting for her to finish what was obviously a private phone call before giving up and finding someone else to help me. Very poor service. I would recommend the hotel if you're looking for a quiet base to explore from.
