Great, hotel, beautiful view. The only issue was the man at the front desk gave working keys to another random man. I was greeted by a random person having access to my room, and entering when i was inside my room. The employees claimed that the reason for a person walking into my room was due to a "system glitch". Although i am aware that it wasnt the mistake of the front desk person, i was still shocked that, my privacy could have been invaded, by such negligence. This mistake on the account of the hotel is unacceptable

There was No hot water in room. The water was turned off for over 2 hours for a maintenance issue. Room was for 4 people but they only gave pillows , blankets and towels etc for 2 and when we asked for additional they said the they didn't have any and that housekeeping was closed for the night. The manager did eventually bring us additional items. We requested a late check out due to our flight schedule and all the hassle we had to go through and they wouldn't accommodate us with that either. I'll never come to this hotel again.

Oh my goodness what can we say about this place. It's beautiful. The room was lovely and spacious and very well equipped. The bed was super comfy. Seriously I slept better there than in my own bed. Everyone was so friendly and it was very well looked after. Brilliant location for St Lawrence Gap and perfect walking distance to lots of restaurants and the beach. Keep your eyes peeled and you'll see the turtles in the water only 90 seconds from your room. There is a stunning chorus of birds and insects in the gardens and every so often you'll see a monkey running around. If I had to be fussy my only constructive criticism would be it took a while to get our room key after checking in due to housekeeping still being done. The pool bar lacks a little atmosphere. More could be done to promote it. The cocktail night was brilliant. And the main restaurant needs to extend their lunch menu into evening as the evening menu is lacking in choice. All this did not detract from a wonderful holiday there. We would be back like a shot if we could.

Huge, fully equipped apartments with fridge freezer, cooker, coffeemaker, toaster etc. Very good wifi. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Exceptionally clean. Great breakfast but very expensive. Within easy walking distance of the bars and eateries on St Law Lawrence Gap. Bus stop just outside the main entrance with regular reggae buses into Bridgetown. Check in was a bit of a farce, some of our group didn't get to check in until after 5p.m. even though we'd been there since before 2p.m.

Clean room, friendly service, nice location right on St. Lawrence Gap and a short distance thru the property to the beach. A fairly intimate resort. Ice has to be brought to the room or service desk as it is only available from the beach bar. Nice property.

Sooo very disappointed. Upon arrival (for our honeymoon), it was noticeable that the property was subpar. (Not at all how the pictures displayed). Our 1 bedroom suite was filthy (dirt fridge, mold on bathrooms, countertop unwiped, light switches filthy, soiled sofa, and so on. Immediately, I went to the front desk to express our concerns. Staff and management were terrific! Tried their best to accommodate, put us in a better/cleaner room with a note from the GM, card, bottle of bubbly, and decorative rose pedals was very thoughtful. However, the lack of amenities, small rooms, bars, and restaurants wasn't worth staying. We recommend spending more for the quality of vacation being your best option. I will say the location is nice .. one of the better beaches. A long overdue renovation really needs to happen to live up to the Divi Resort Brand... in its current state, this is a low-grade motel Sorry 😞

A great hotel in an ideal location for St.Lawrance gap. The staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂, The rooms are comfy with enough amenities for self catering, and cleaned very good. We tried the breakfast and to be fair is the only reason for 3 stars as only went once and the service was very poor, had to chase for tea and coffee then had to chase up for milk, was expensive for the standard of food on offer. The receptionist Heather was very helpful and friendly and rum punch on arrival 😀 was a nice touch. The van just outside the rear entrance serves good food and nice place to sit and chill. The reviews that say staff are rude ignore, as all the staff were pleasant and friendly.

Been to Divi Southwinds 4 years ago. Still the same. But would not book for breakfast. That's the only thing that has gone downhill. Basic food for 153 bajan dollars. Not worth it. Food cold birds flying everywhere. Go else wear. For breakfast

Short easy walk to beach on the ocean that was limited for the public to get access to. Steve 'Redmen' thoroughly cleans the walkway in the AM so you can even walk barefoot. Great location to walk the Lawrence Gap and enjoy the many restaurants on and off the beach. ALL the pools are well maintained. Can enjoy a nice conversation with Jr. Taylor maintaining the pools if you're an early riser. There are 5 monkeys and a baby that eat from the mango tree near the Tennis Court every morning and late afternoon. They are very entertaining. Previous Divi Resorts kept beverage dispensers with cold, and sometimes citrus flavored, water in their lobby areas. This one set up to look like they were going to offer this service on a Saturday, but it never happened. Nor did it happen during the week.

This place is a dump. Avoid it if you can. Poor service, rooms are dirty, the hotel is dirty. What a waste of our time and money

Took me a while to sort out the AC as it's through a duct but once found, it was amazing... Dining was almost excellent... the local birds took that 5th Star but the service was great

You can't fault any of the staff for their exceptional service. Really very good. Rooms are decent, just need a little upgrading in places. Only issue is the beach, which has tons of seaweed piled up and no way of getting to the water. Well worth a visit.

Stayed 7 weeks ago whilst watching the cricket . Excellent location , right in the heart of the Gap . Room good , very clean ( maybe bit of updating required 🤔) Pool excellent , staff very friendly and helpful. Sports facilities good . One slight downside was the pool bar and Pure Ocean only being open minimally , but the numerous other bar / restaurants nearby more than made up for that . Would definitely recommend 👌

Located in The Gap and minutes drive from Bridgetown, Divi Southwinds is situated on a beautiful stretch of Dover Beach. The beach was easily accessible with toddlers and wasn't overcrowded.

Just started our family trip. Reached early as we are traveling from California . The customer service very poor, unfriendly , blunt reply to our questions and concerns . Not willing to accommodate us at least one hour early. Telling us again and again that check in time is 04:00 pm . Charging us refundable pay in advance , but very rude to meet our needs . Totally dissatisfied

Location Great! Customer service/satisfaction Mediocre! Team needs training on Diversity and Inclusion! Stayed at this resort facility over the Labor Day weekend. Pros – 1) Location within 15- 20 minutes driving to city. Quiet and not too crowded, great to destress and unwind. Located in the infamous St. Lawrence Gap. The facility and grounds presented a clean appearance except the tennis court and beach tables. 2) Suite – clean and comfortable except for the bath area (sink and shower) and the water pressure. Cons – 1) Customer service - From my perspective, leaves a lot to be desired and we were profiled at check-in. They clearly are catering for a specific demographic which we certainly didn’t fit. (1) Not very helpful with dining recommendations. On (3) separate occasions we asked for coconut water at Pure Ocean and were told, “We don’t have any, and from the front desk, “you have to get from the vendors on the highway from the airport”. How were we supposed to know that? We were brushed aside as if our request was trivial and didn’t warrant a second thought. Breakfast on Sunday morning – went to Pure Ocean to have breakfast and was told its buffet style and its $76.50 per person. The wait staff told us we should have been told by the front desk at check in. If we were notified at check in then we would have found an alternate location for breakfast which we did because we cannot eat $153.00 plus tax for breakfast. The hotel industry is customer focused, from observation it was clear we were profiled and placed in the “brown people” demographic. 2) Suite – shower and sink were the areas that I have major issues. The caulk around the sink was dirty and peppered with spots of mold. The faucet is installed so close to the back of the sink you couldn’t help the splashes. The shower same issue, the grout is dirty with spots of mold and there is rust around the shower doors. The water fall shower extends less than 12 inches from the shower wall, my husband kept hitting himself. The water pressure was so low you couldn’t tilt the shower head to be more comfortable. Overall the water pressure was low in all areas of the suite. 3) Tennis court is in a state of disrepair, the surface is artificial grass which is dotted with holes and moss. 4) Beach tables dotted with rust spots. We have stayed at different hotel brands/chains in major cities around the world and have never been treated with indifference and/or based on the color of our skin or accent and/or subject to profiling. It is clear these brands understand the concept "Your team represents your brand". Being courteous does not equate to customer service and satisfaction. Overall Caribbean people are courteous and friendly however there needs to be a lot of re-training regarding customer service and satisfaction as it relates to diversity and inclusion at this facility.

We stayed at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort for a week at the end of November. This is an older resort in need of a few updates but you can't beat the location. The restaurant and bar are right on the beautiful beach. Our rooms were well equipped with a small kitchen including stove, refrigerator and microwave. The pool areas are beautiful and there are lots of activities. We were warmly greeted when we checked in. We arrived from the airport a couple of hours before check in time so our room was not ready but we expected that. Our only disappointment was how unfriendly the staff was at their restaurant/bar Pure Ocean. The wait staff and bartenders all look miserable. All in all it was a beautiful week in Bridgetown, Barbados.

The room were decent, came with a kitchen and living room. Pool view balcony. With the room however the conventional oven does not work …. I was told none of them do. House keeping 2x forgot to bring us towels. The front desk does not answer the phone. Front desk didn’t have any towels when I went down stairs to try and get towels. The wifi is very iffy. The air in the room would not go past 72 degrees. The staff overall are pleasant. Location is great . Walking distance is Dover Beach & St.Lawrence Gap. St.Lawrence has lots of restaurants, bars, and vendors.

I attended a wedding on the beach with drinks at the beach bar area. I didn't stay there but the reception was kept at the hotel banquet suite and it was well attended and the environment was top class

Location, Location, Location. This resort is in prime location and it has 3 pools. If you like to go on vacation and don't leave the resort, then this probably won't be the place for you. If you like to explore then this resort has all the amenities yiu'll need for a fantastic experience in Barbados.

Very bad service, an order that was taken at 9:30 pm isn't delivered at 12:14 am. Finally had to cancel the order and was forced to sleep with an empty stomach.

Just returned from a short stay at divi southwinds. Truly magnificent place. Beautiful well kept grounds right on the beach. Lovely touches. Soca music one afternoon with live band. The singer was amazing. Can sing anything. Great voice. Rooms have everything you can ask for. Barbadians are warm engaging people, a bit on the reserved side. But always willing to talk. Keep it going guys. My place in barbados.

My room was large, clean and modern with a pool view. Gardens are well kept. There is a gym, hair/nail salon, ladies boutique (Dale is lovely!) and a supermarket with basic food stuff on the hotel grounds. Taxis are available on request to all island locations. Reception staff were very friendly and provided a golf umberella on rainy days which was convenient! No room service. Room is only cleaned twice a week. The Pure Ocean restaurant is not part of the hotel but a short 5mins walk across the street from the rear entrance. Staff there are lovely.
