Overall wouldn’t recommend. Rooms were as expected but it was the rest of the resort. (1) majority of the service staff was rude. The grill had staff intentionally ignore us just standing there waiting. There were some who were great and super nice, particularly the ice cream shop waitress. (2) hours and availability were terrible. Bars open at 10am and the single outdoor bar was supposed to be open late but was closed when we went at 8:10pm. (3) not much seating; by 8am all the chairs had towels laid on them to be “reserved”, even when most were clearly unattended. They need some sort of policy to not let chairs be reserved. (4) food was lack luster. For being a resort in the Caribbean I expected a better variety of food. Fruit was very basic and lunch/dinner was very standard. Nothing special about food options here, except the ice cream shop and coffee shop were both pretty unique.

I feel completely ripped off. The place is OLD and the photos used to advertise don't reflect the place you see when you get there. We showered with our shoes on. It was NOT all inclusive, not clean, not friendly. It was just aweful. This was my first 7 day all inclusive experience and I saved up to have this experience for my dad and my birthdays and I regret wasting so much money to go there. On more than 1 night we ate nothing between 1pm and 9pm because you could only eat dinner with a reservation, which we were not aware of. There was nothing else. I had to feed my 3 year son granola bars I brought for the plane ride to hold him over until 9pm. We also couldn't get a drink after 10/11pm as everything was closed. No food or drink options whatsoever. I would have been way better off going to a 5 star real all inclusive in Mexico for half the price where I could eat and drink ALL DAY, reservation or not. Many of the staff acted like you were bothering them by existing or asking them a question. Just rude. I wouldn't stay at a Marriott property again. This has tarnished what I think if Marriott as a brand and I will not give them another dime of my hard earned money.

I’ve been with Marriott for decades. I don’t know how Marriott puts their name on this hotel. The issues were endless and I’ve never experienced the myriad of problems at a Marriott. It was our anniversary to make matters worse. We paid to have a luxury car pick us up at the airport. The car never showed up. After waiting for almost 1.5 hours we took a taxi. The front desk said the car broke down but didn’t bother to tell us. The room didn’t have working air conditioning. It’s 100 degrees with 85% humidity. The ceiling fan did not work. Not that it would do much with blowing hot air around. Since we arrived late due to your car not picking us up we were told we could not eat at a restaurant and could only do the buffet since reservations need to be made by 2:30. We opted for room service. The food was not edible. We’ve traveled the world. I’ve been to 118 countries and never had food I couldn’t eat. I certainly never have been to a Marriott where I couldn’t find something to eat. The room was disgusting. We had half a roll of toilet paper so they didn’t bother to change that from the last guest which is also disgusting. The pictures online are nothing compared to what the property looks like. It felt we were at a sleep at your own risk hotel. It was deplorable. We checked out the next morning first thing. Marriott needs to remove their name from this property and the audacity to call it a 4 star property is a farce!

Highly recommended this hotel and experience. This was my first “all inclusive” hotel - throughly enjoyed my experience. I feel like the price may have been just a touch too high for the quality of the rooms / food but not by much - I still feel I got a lot of value for what I paid. For contrast when we left the hotel for trips around the island - we would easily be spending $130 per day on food at restaurants/ bars around Barbados. So if you try and get your value out of the food and drinks - you’ll do great!!! Staff were absolutely beautiful - always kind and attentive and asking how they can help. Location is also great with a few restaurants and bars a short walk if you want to mix up your day. One thing I would tell would be stayers is try and book your stay from mid week to mid week - the menu’s at the two restaurants change on Saturday, so if you arrive on a Saturday and leave on a Saturday - you only get to experience one menu for the two different restaurants. If you can try and book so the Saturday falls in between your trip - you’ll get to experience 4 different menus at the two restaurants. The nightly buffet was always fantastic food - can’t fault it. Make sure you do the orientation tour on your first day - it’s full of great info to get the most of your stay. The coffee and milkshakes are also a real winner - loved starting my day with a cold iced coffee, and downing milkshakes by the pool!

It's Okay, if you can't afford much else. They give you a great rum punch at check-in, but basic swill after that. It is an older property with an average staff. If I had it to over, I would stay at the Hilton in Bridgetown (I stayed there the first two nights). Turtle Beach was paid for by my host. The people of Barbados are outstanding! Honestly, it was unremarkable and the photo posted was one of the few that I took at the events. I'd stay at the Hilton Resort next time...

Absolutely horrible experience, the rooms are all run down and need maintenance asap! Toilets don't flush. Rust all over the place. Plaster needed everywhere. As much as it disappoints me to say it, 80% of the staff seem pretty miserable here. No one is willing to help you. You wait to be seated at the common buffet area and have to wait for the hostess about 10 minutes. The staff seem unmotivated. The food is flavorless and bland. The upkeep for this resort is poor. As for the beach front, amazing. Renaldo, the sports staff is great! Wants to teach everyone how to surf, we saw him save someone drowning in the ocean. Great guy! For the rest of the resort it just seems to me like they have a very poor management situation going on that can easily be fixed. This place will not wow you, you will never want to return. I can understand if you’re in your 50’s but being in your 30’s no way. It’s sad because a prime location like this can do so well for the community and country. This visit to the resort just ruined for us and all the other travelers.. I’m sorry and super disappointed. Never again.

Located just by the sea with lovely sea view! Epic! The hotel has an all inclusive package with meals and drinks included which I would recommend. The hotel also arrange interesting activities within the hotel. You may end up spending all your holiday within the hotel due to the activities. The food is lovely with a lot of varieties to choose from and most of their workers are very nice. They have a section for kids 3-12 where they engage them with activities. I probably did not give them 5 stars as the room need some upgrade, which they have already started.

I really don’t understand how people are leaving even a decent review. This is hands down the worst hotel/resort I’ve ever stayed at. I’d never recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I tipped the whole time I was here and employees still made it noticeable that they didn’t want to help you. There were only about 2 employees that actually treated you like a person. Now the food, the only way our party of 15 actually found it edible was when we were drunk. The deli had some decent sandwiches but the buffets were so bland and lacked flavor. I asked an employee about how they choose their stations and they informed me that they get rotated in all the kitchens every day. So they don’t even know what station they’ll be working at until they get to work. The rooms are not great, first off we arrived at check in at 3pm but they didn’t give us our room until 6pm! Overall this resort makes me never want to visit Barbados again but I may visit again in the future, definitely not this “resort” though.

This is a hard review as we have 2 sides to it. Honestly, it's way too pricey for what it is. The beach is gorgeous. We got married here (elopement) on the beach, and Sophia was unreal! She was so helpful and arranged the most perfect day, it was so beautiful and she ran around getting everything in place. I would rate this one day as a 5/5 as they did everything for us. As our holiday. Maybe 2/5 stars... the food was mediocre, no entertainment other than the rotation of singers in an evening, which was packed up sometimes before we even sat down for dinner. We had issues with the hotel reception taking money from our account, which they denied, which resulted in us dealing with our bank whilst we were away to get it rectified. They were very apologetic, but it should never have happened. Sunbeds!!! Not enough at all. Every day, we had the same issues. We have done a lot of all-inclusive around the world and never had the issues of having to sit on the ground by the pools as there weren't enough beds.

The place needs to be updated. The rooms look run down. That was not a deal breaker when we were at the beach. The thing that upset us the most was the service. This place is advertised as a 5-star resort, but they have 1-star customer service. When you need to help weather food, towels, etc., the staff treats you like you are bothering them. They give a paper every morning to show what events the resort has for the day. The issue is that they don't do any of it. On Friday, they claimed they had sip and paint, so my wife signed up to do it. The activities guy kept asking us if she was still doing it because she was the only person on the list. We didn't know we had to sign up until we asked the other guest. The resort hides things so the staff doesn't have to work. One day they had a volley ball game next to the beach, and my family went to play. We waited over an hour, and no staff showed. I asked what happened to the game they said oh well, you need to sign up first, but we were never told that, and we were waiting with another family who had no clue about it. The food and drinks are not what a 5-star inclusive resort will have. The food is dry and bland. This place should need to retrain staff or fire and hire new. The beach is nice good location over priced for what you get. This should be a spring break resort for college kids who want cheap rooms and don't care about service.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at Turtle Beach. The hotel is big enough to have good facilities, pools, good food choices, water sports etc without being so big that it looses the local feel. The staff were brilliant and really able to just get things done with no fuss. They made us laugh a lot and even let us join in with their after work road tennis tournament one evening. My son has lots of food allergies but these were handled brilliantly, probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in in that respect. Bathrooms and common areas could maybe do with a but of renovation work but then I guess that would drive up the price and maybe it would lose the friendly laid back character of the hotel which would be a shame.

We just returned from a 7 day all inclusive. We had a wonderful time. We had a lovely room, clean and if anything was missing or we needed something we only had to ask and within minutes we were accommodated. The staff were, to a person, very thoughtful, kind and always there to give us what we needed. The food was excellent. Every part of the resort was well maintained. We loved it. We have already recommended it to all our friends and family.

Staff friendly. Room big enought and clean. Drinks all day long in all inclusive. Good swimming pool. Access to the beach from the hotel. Was dispointed by the massage and nail done. But food was good. Entertainment everynight. Breakfast is continental and caribean. And huuuuuge.

Where to start! Facilities - very tired especially the room bathroom. 1980s and amazed Marriott put their name to this Quality! Food - breakfast fine but be prepared to queue and wait at the Egg Station for an Omelette ! Lunch - lovely buffet at the Sand Trap beach restaurant and bar. Dinner - avoid Buffet v poor and anything decent runs out. Italian a la carte really good make sure you book ( several times!). Sand Trap A la carte Good but not as nice as the Italian. Location - fantastic beach side, really lovely area. Service - very good and five star from the cleaners to the bar staff they are really on it and attentive. Reception team are ok but could be a little awkward. Overall we had a good holiday, decided to eat out due to the Buffett a couple of times (see my other review) despite being all inclusive. Would not return until #Marriott invest.

Hotel was 3* at best. Main issue was quality and choice of food. We had to wait for the limited selection to be replenished and also que to be seated at times the que was 10 minutes plus made worse by the fact that staff who were supposed to be seating were shuffling chairs or some other pointless task rather than serving paying customers. Had a group of 60 arrived and the hotel became swamped no additional staff or Sunbeds. Luckily they were only there for 3 days. Badly needs a refurbishment and deep clean. The location is good and some staff are excellent.

PLEASE READ. Food was okay, watch your plate the birds are hungry too. This is the least of my complaint though. I came here to review staff specifically SECURITY and whoever else involved. They are the worst!!! They LOVE to GOSSIP, which I find disrespectful. Quite a few were Concerned about the fact that I had different men dropping me off who are FAMILY and FRIENDS and in their good heart making sure I get in safely, questioning if I paid to be in there thinking I got in for free and wanted to just dine for free??? INAPPROPRIATE! I've never experienced this anywhere! They seem to be doing everything BUT their job- One was even sleeping when I came in with his head down at night where you have to drive in! I felt Harassed and Unwelcomed. Wouldn't spend a penny here again. I didn't make a fuss! Because reviews leave a bigger impact than management can ever do sometimes. Fellow vacationers, just know I was not PLEASED AT ALL about this!! Positive: Front desk workers were professional, pleasant, and helpful, ladies serving tables were also nice. Thank you. The beach view I had was relaxing.

We were extremely apprehensive about staying here after reading poor reviews about the hotel prior to our stay but decided to give it a chance anyway; what a mistake that was! Firstly, the cost of this hotel was NOT cheap, you are paying thousands and thousands of pounds to stay in a very basic, budget, run down and dirty hotel with the most ignorant and rude staff you will ever meet in your life. How this hotel has the audacity to use the pictures they do when selling is beyond me- it’s nothing short of false advertisement! The hallways to get to the rooms are filthy and a total eye sore, cracked tiles that moved when you walked over them causing a trip hazard, dirty bathrooms, the list is endless… literally everywhere needs renovating, the whole hotel is so uninviting and tired. The food choice was appalling, most of us ended up not eating from the hotel and going out for food which isn’t what you want considering you’ve paid for all inclusive. It’s a disgrace how the hotel are employing staff that are downright VILE and clearly hate tourists- prepared to have them roll their eyes at you, be short and blunt, ignore you and speak to you like you are dirt on the bottom of their shoe. WHY WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU HATE PEOPLE? I wouldn’t bother staying here if you’ve got kids as the sea is just too rough, failing that you’ve always got the pool with 5 inches of green grime around the edges? The whole atmosphere of the hotel is also dead, not the Caribbean vibe you want when you come to Barbados! We ended up changing hotels and I can honestly say if it weren’t for this, or the small number of staff who tried to rectify things for us- it would have ruined our whole holiday.

2 weeks holiday. 16 reports of blocked toilet, once/twice a day and still left with a toilet we are unable to use and has leaked a few times. My family and I are still here, leave Sunday 31st July. Rooms 239 & 240, 240 is the one with the problem toilet. (Update: the day before we left they replaced and fixed the toilet!). We are a laid back family, never written a review before. We asked the maintenance guy to leave the plunger which he did so we could do it and stop visiting reception daily but they took it away. Disappointed. Food not great. The hotel seem to try hard to get it right but after the same food which is tweaked each day it’s just not good enough and definitely not a 4 star rating. Most staff seem rude with their responses, some of this could be a misunderstanding as all are using masks but shout out to Melissa and Shakem and a few others who have been great. 2.5 years we waited for this holiday and it cost our family thousands. Some of these thousands may as well have been flushed down the toilet but wait, the toilet unfortunately doesn’t work! Entertainment lacking. Thank god for hiring a car which was not in our budget. Perhaps Virgin Holidays can refund us at least for the car hire!

For us it was a 50/50 experience. Upon arrival we were given a room that had water leaking from the ceiling resulting a wet floor. Tiny ants crawling along the floor. Someone came to have a look at the ceiling leakage but didn't manage to resolve the issue. Still in the same room, some days later, I noticed some bugs walking along the border of the carpet. Not too sure what it was but looked like red worms. On that note, I got bitten by bed bugs, massive red marks all over my body. After many daily complaints the staff were still against giving us a new room. Eventually I took videos and pictures to show them, they then gave us a new room. The new room was alot better. If only we had received this room from the start. Alright so heres the good side of things: The beach was absolutely amazing, you will fall in love. Be sure to watch the sunrise and sunsets. The food was decent. They also have an ice cream thing by the beach, and a cafe you can pop by when you need a snack in between relaxing at the beach or having a soak at the pool.

The room was dated and in need of decorating, the shower leaked al over the bathroom floor and ran out the door into the bedroom (Hotel gave us towels every day to mop up with), bathroom light didn’t work, TV didn’t work (wouldn’t normally both but the World Cup was on during our visi), food in the main restaurant was awful, table service was non existent. The beach was nice but the sun beds where all in a pile, had to drag your own bed along the beach. Better to spend your money elsewhere.

Terrible hotel - I would advise spending a little extra and staying at Sandals or another all inclusive. Though the beach and pool area is nice, the rooms and service are terrible. Our first room didn’t have a functioning shower, they only fixed it 24 hours later after which a pipe burst in the bathroom and the room got flooded. We were then stranded without a room for an entire day with very little information provided by the staff regarding the provision of an alternate room. Once we got into a second room, they didn’t have any key cards that worked so we had to keep waiting for a member of staff to come and let us into our room every time we wanted to get in. Poor room quality with dreadful infrastructure. It is the cheaper option amongst the all inclusives in Barbados but I would rather have paid an extra £500 to not be at Turtle Beach.

Overall a very pleasant stay, the staff were excellent, going above and beyond and had wonderful manners (special mention to Maradonna!) . Location is perfect, one of the best beaches on the island with crystal clear water and lucky enough to have sunrises and sunsets! Free water sports, and attentive, helpful and friendly staff at the water sports centre, (Renaldo and Dario). Food was good, however vegetarian food lacked flavour. The room was great, furnished nicely with a comfortable bed and sea view. Only negative I’d say was a lack of entertainment, no quizzes, bingo or any other engaging evening entertainment just singers every night. Would highly recommend.

On the 10th and final.night here. Large room and huge balcony with full sea view. Great place for all inclusive with good quality drinks as standard. Three restaurants. Buffets could do with improvement and one restaurant could be upgraded. Can't beat the beach, sea and picture postcard views. Nice extras including an ice cream parlour and coffee shop plus spa pool. Full spa and gym. Maradona, one of the bar waiters stands out for his service and friendliness. Loads of excursions available and you can visit this hotel's other hotels. Marriott have taken over so should be good. Would come again.

We spent 8 nights in this hotel on our first trip to Barbados and the Caribbean in June this year. The hotel is aged and definitely needs some renovation done especially on bathrooms and the balcony door which was a bit hard to open. Other than that it was clean in all areas. We liked the view from our room overlooking the gardens, pool and also saw the ocean. Food was nice, tasty and good choice. As it was low season probably not so much as it would be in high season but it was plenty. We like the all day buffet at sand trap restaurant as well. Beach towels provided all day long, plenty of spare loungers around the pools and on the beach as well. However those on the beach would love some maintenance. There are 2 beaches, one directly front of the hotel has always waves which is a good fun as well as nice relax with the white noise. The other beach is front of the Sandals which is calm and good for swimming. Hotel has good location to do short or longer trips around the island. Buses (private taxes how they call them) run every few minutes in both directions (Bridgetown/Oistins) and cost only 3.50 BD. The bus stop is just 7 minutes walk from the hotel. St. Lawrence gap is in walking distance. The staff is attentive and they walk around the pools and both beaches serving drinks of your choice. Now the bad stuff: sticky chairs in the main restaurant were not pleasant. Also a bit annoying we’re the birds. As these are open air restaurants there is nothing stopping them to try to steal your meal. But this is a tropical island with all the perks 😀It’s a 4 star hotel and we liked it there. We would come again.

I went there to visit a friend of mines that was staying inside the hotel, my friend came to the lobby to meet me when I was at the front desk the clerk wanted to extort money from my friend, telling my friend they had to pay for me to come and visit and they don’t accept visitors after 12. What kinda non sense is that! She also states that if I go up without my friend paying for me, she the clerk at the front desk was going to send the security guard for me. I felt as if that was a way of telling me to leave the premises.disgusting, I don’t recommend any tourist to travel to Barbados and book turtle beach hotel. I am sorry I didn’t get her name to make a report! Bad customer service

The workers were very attentive. Romat the bartender was great. The shuttle service was great. Very attentive staff. The food was good but had no seasoning. I was looking forward to Caribbean cuisine with ample seasoning. The resort was beautiful. The beach was beautiful. The water sports were awesome.

This is one of the worst vacation we’ve ever had. The food sucks, the rooms were dated and the overall experience just wasn’t good. This should not be an all inclusive resort. The food and drinks were limited with no taste. All they have is pork and few options for others. Save your money! Do not go here! You will regret it!

Spent a week at Turtle Beach for our anniversary. The room was large but very outdated. Bed extremely uncomfortable, getting in and out of the shower was difficult as the tub was a good 4-5' tall, black mold all around the glass doors to the patio and no seal around the main door so all the heat and noise come in at all hours. The 2am fire alarms are not nice to be woken up to! Construction starts very early in the morning, and we were woken up almost daily around 730am by the leaf blowers and power tools. Lawn maintenance staff work around you rather than allow you relaxing time by the pools and leave debris all over you and your belongings. Only managed to have breakfast once in 8 days as the only serve until 1030am. Food overall in the resort was just ok. The best meals we had were off site. The staff are amazing!!! They made the stay much more pleasant. Shout out to Ron, Maradona and Mario. If you are expecting a marriott resort, this is NOT that.

  • 4/5 Linda A. 5 months ago on Google
The rooms are clean and maintained. The housekeeping staff come by and clean and restock the fridge daily. The hotel grounds are very pretty and well maintained. The staff are incredibly kind. Maradona who was at the bar was one of the best part of the stay. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would stay again. I loved the ice cream bar and the coffee bar. My two cons: there are so many birds in the morning during breakfast that they can get annoying. Also room service can be a bit slow. I tried ordering and called a couple of times over a duration of 1.5 hours before finally talking to someone (through the front desk), that was a draw back. But overall, great hotel and fun times.

I enjoyed my trip but there were a few things that prevented it from being excellent. Firstly one of the bartenders was racist, on my first trip to the bar after arriving at the hotel with my white friend I ordered a drink. He had the audacity to ask me if I was staying at the hotel. He didn't ask my friend the same thing which is how I know he was making a racist assumption due to my dark skin. The worst part is that we have the same skin tone lol. He was also very unhelpful, I forgot my mask in the room and he told me I could not get a drink without one, I told him it was a distance away and he was adamant. (Policy I get it) luckily one of the waitresses was there and she politely told me I could get one at the front desk which was a short walk away. Secondly the plumbing in the room was poor, the room often gave off a bad smell coming from the bathtub drain which was bearable but annoying. Some of the fixtures like the vanity had very obvious wear and tear. For an all inclusive place those things did not make the cut. The food was excellent throughout and generally the staff were pleasant and helpful. However there could have been a better structure for servers. Having 3-4 people checking on you in less than 5 minutes is annoying. Doubling up on orders because there wasn't proper communication is annoying and wasteful as well.

Best service I’ve ever had! I have a life threatening allergy to a lot of foods, the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate for me and me feel safe. The chef’s Andrew and Trevor were amazing, I never had any concerns and took really good care of me. All the staff and so lovely and friendly it’s like a family. Right on the beach serving a beautiful view and only 15 mins from town.

Nice hotel. Great location. Beautiful beach but sea quite rough. Good facilities. Rooms good but some aspects need a bit of an upgrade. Food very average but does well on snacks /drinks. Service varies from very good to poor attitude depending on which personnel you encounter.

The location and the staff throughout the resort are excellent!! We were there during Christmas, Boxing Day and the bank holiday observances islandwide. We were totally entertained at the pool, beach, multiple food venues, game room and live entertainment without going elsewhere🌴☀️🌊The rooms are a tad worn, but they are very spacious and very clean. It is a beach resort and still it is very clean. The buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinner were delicious and different each day - appealing to all in our family ranging in age from 5 to 74, including a vegetarian and a carnivore and the rest of us. Bar service - two locations - is excellent!! Island life includes poolside delivery of popsicles every afternoon. Surfing lesson was great - one of us got up 4 times, the other not so much😉 Ambiance is totally relaxing and fun!

The hotel is very run down it really looks it's age. The accommodation is described as junior suite but only in name, the shower was leaking and the mini fridge wasn't working but it was fixed or replaced the next day. We had the fortune to visit the Sandals resort next door and it's day and night. The hotels buffet restaurant had a very limited menu and the 2 a'lacart restaurants only change their menu once a week. We found the bar and restaurant staff very helpful and friendly but I can't say the same for the reception staff, very unhelpful and never had the time for you. The grounds were cleaned once in a week, there was a face mask and a coffee cup lid in the same place for the whole week. We were looking forward to our holiday specialy after waiting for 2 years because of COVID-19 but we were very disappointed with Marriott Elegant hotels, we will not be booking a Marriott hotel again.

Very far from 4* hotel, room clean ish, bathroom rusty and no hot water, so bathing a 2-year old is a challenge one doesn’t need during the holidays, the food very bland and selection below average Positive - the staff helpful

Amazing. Even though main restaurant on beach was being renovated, slated to open in another week or so and certainly were working on, resort still put out tables and chairs and tents on beach for lunch and dinner bbqs. Ice cream shop and coffee house on site and included! Rooms were nice and clean. Housekeeping certainly stayed on top of entire complex and worked hard. Captain Sam and his crew kept us busy on beach! Catamaran rides, boogie boards, snorkeling... We ate dinner mostly at asiago since waitress service and for change from buffets. Reciprocity to other hotels too. Shuttles to shops and activites like friday fish fry in town. Ice cream shop and coffee house on property and included as well! Nightly casual entertainment. Close to airport and amazing, huge beaches. Not the Ritz but well above the norm.

If you are booking through Marriott or the app just know that Marriott bought this property as it was already established. Need to update amenities list on the Marriott app- there is no business center and no computer/printer available. The front desk staff will print if you email them though. It would be nice to get some kind of a what to expect message with your confirmation. Nothing fancy, something similar to the page you get at check in including the dress code information. I have never been to an all inclusive and had no idea dinners are supposed to be dressy. It was uncomfortable to show up to dinner in casual attire but I didn’t pack dressy clothes so I had no other choice. On this pre arrival sheet suggestions for tipping and excursions would also help travelers plan out how much cash to bring. I ended up tipping a couple dollars to restaurant staff at each meal but didn’t see anyone else doing so. Pros All inclusive is nice! Food is good and plentiful. There is a buffet for each meal, two additional restaurants (require reservations) for dinner, a coffee shop, ice cream parlor and beach/poolside bar. Evening entertainment is very good More than enough lounge chairs at the beach The majority of the staff seems happy to be there and they work very hard to make sure you have what you need (and what you want) Rooms are big, clean, stocked with the essentials. If you are in search of a modern, luxurious resort then you may be disappointed. This is an island facility that is a little worn but if your expectations are realistic then it is a beautiful place to stay. Location is pretty good with some shops and vendors nearby Making arrangements for excursions through the activities center is helpful, Randall seemed to have a good working relationship with the reps at the businesses and I felt well taken care of Cons Some areas could do with a deep clean, I found it difficult to sit at or near the bar because of the smell Breakfast starts at 0730 so if you are an early riser you will have to wait. The breakfast seems to be a full English breakfast, other than the Bajan Oats. I’m curious what the Bajan breakfast actually looks like. Shout out to restaurant staff: Sonia, Kalisha, Melissa, Wyatt (?), The friendly woman with the clear glasses frames, sorry I forgot your name! And thank you to Randall in the activities center!

We stayed for a family celebration and it was everything we wanted. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Our ground floor location was perfect for the little one to access the pool. She also loved the kids club. Food and Beverage had a good variety of choices to meet all requirements. The team went above and beyond arranging meals for my little ones outside of hours. Rum punch is very strong but very recommended, Team members were helpful and always very polite. Massage treatment was highly skilled.

I loved Turtle Beach Hotel, it's my favourite hotel I've been to. The pools were clean yet the hallways seemed a bit dusty. Rooms were lovely and was great comfort. Kids club was incredible and there were even crabs in an area at the hotel. The view and location was gorgeous and I would overall recommend this hotel, just amazing.

Staff amazing ,beach water is rough but still beautiful so plan the time you make a visit due to hurricane or wet season. The hotel needs to be upgraded some tile falling off in main dining room bathrooms in the bedrooms are quite old and need updating . Our view was lovely and a few pools to choose from . Food was fairly tasty more variety would be great. Overall lovely visit .

Wow - What an experience, where do I start?!! First of all the staff - I'd like to shout out Kevin and Andrew, at the front. when we arrived, Kevin was there, grabbed our bags and walked them to our room for us and made it known that if we needed help, to find him. He and Andrew would call us cabs and be genuinely interested in our stories as well as offer local info and advice, really helpful for our first time in Barbados! Randall who was in charge of the orientations and activities was the biggest help for my surprise proposal. I had been let down by a local photographer on the day and Randall went out of his way to source another for me - saved the day!! Other staff I didn't get the names of who really stood out was our server on Saturday night is Asiagos for the 3 course meal, he would serve our wine while singing, I loved it and we had some banter. Mostly all other staff we experienced encounters with where absolutely fantastic, they remembered myself and fiancé, any special requirements and couldn't do enough for us. The place is lovely. Some say dated but I thought it gave more personality to the place we were staying. 2 pools and a jacuzzi where cleaned every morning, lots of beds, water activities included although we stay late November and some things we were unable to do as the water was too choppy. You're also able to visit the sisters hotels and spend the day there, we chose crystal one day. Another stunning hotel, great water sports, food, and mood lighting in the evening. We preferred our hotel and beach over crustal but certainly wasn't disappointed. Taxis cost us quite a bit when travelling to different destinations but everywhere we visited was so worth it. I'd certainly recommend this hotel.

The resort was lovely. My view of the ocean was amazing, the food was good, the service was great. Some of the reviews were concerning but once there realized you have to find out for yourself. SEPTEMBER 2022

The room was absolutely filthy (hair ball on floor, dirt in bathroom), the room is old and worn, the air conditioning unit on the wall (mini split) makes so much noise (worn out bearing) iwas not able to sleep, the food is horrible, prison food is better than this slop, the floors are filthy, phone in the room doesn't work, there is no way to contact the front desk unless I looked up the number and she said manager would call me back which she did not. This is absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here unless you want your vacation ruined.

I went here with my family in November to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We got married at the same hotel 10 years ago so we went back there for the nostalgia & memories we had from before. We had a good time this time spending 10 days at Turtle beach. It was great to come back and the beach was as spectacular as we remembered. Unfortunately the rooms had not really been updated since our last visit and they were looking a bit tired and unloved. The facilities in the hotel were still good and the drinks available for an all inclusive package were great, unfortunately the food did not match up. It was poor quality and the selection was small at most restaurants. We ended up eating out quite a bit which gave us costs we did not expect when going all inclusive. Overall we had a good holiday but unfortunately we will look at alternative hotels when we come back to Barbados.

😐 I'll start this review by saying that I've been to a couple of Sandals resorts and have become a fan of the brand. They do provide a high level of service and value but the Royal Barbados and Barbados resorts fall short of my prior experiences. First, the rooms are nice. We stayed in one of the l...
