This
is
a
smaller
resort,
with
limited
space
and
things
to
do
on
property.
This
place
has
been
closed
for
3
months
prior
to
opening
back
up
a
week
before
our
arrival.
There's
a
significant
amount
of
money
being
put
into
this
resort
for
improvements,
and
you
see
people
hard
at
work
to
making
that
happen.
Keep
that
in
mind
when
I
talk
about
some
of
my
experiences,
I
think
these
issues
will
decrease
in
time.
Most
importantly,
let's
start
with
the
staff.
If
there
is
a
nicer
staff
anywhere
in
the
world,
I
would
be
surprised.
From
the
moment
we
arrived
we
were
completely
taken
care
of
and
met
with
nothing
but
smiles
and
wonderful
hospitality.
They
knew
us
by
name;
they
knew
the
drinks
we
liked;
they
made
us
feel
like
family.
The
food
was
outstanding.
The
first
couple
of
days
there
was
not
a
buffet;
that
was
started
up
during
our
stay
for
breakfast
and
lunch.
A
very
good
selection
and
of
course
offered
the
traditional
English
breakfast
items
along
with
items
American
enjoy.
Their
burgers
were
chargrilled,
and
all
the
other
items
on
the
lunch
buffet
were
fantastic.
There
was
a
snack
menu
also
served
in
between
lunch
and
dinner
with
enough
to
tide
you
over
or
if
you
happened
to
miss
lunch.
Dinner
was
from
a
select
menu
of
proteins
with
a
vegetarian
option,
a
starter
course
and
a
dessert.
Everything
we
had
tasted
fresh
and
really
loved
the
local
flavors.
They
offered
filet
and
surf
and
turf
for
an
extra
charge,
I
believe
that
charge
was
a
bit
excessive
compared
to
the
buffet,
and
we
did
not
order
it.
You
eat
outside
under
cover,
so
you
will
deal
with
the
occasional
bugs
annoying
you,
and
the
birds
love
to
fly
to
the
netting
hoping
for
a
handout.
Drinks
were
good.
Some
of
the
bartenders
were
super
nice
and
clearly
loved
their
craft.
Some
of
the
other
staff
wasn't
quite
as
friendly
or
knowledgeable
about
how
to
make
certain
drinks,
but
were
very
pleasant.
The
variety
of
liquors
was
limited,
as
were
the
variety
of
wines,
but
was
enough
to
satisfy.
They
had
Banks
beer
on
draft.
We
were
never
left
wanting
for
a
drink.
The
rooms
are
in
excellent
shape,
and
it
looks
like
they
recently
redid
the
bathrooms.
There
are
new
air
conditioning
units
installed,
and
unfortunately,
the
one
in
our
living
room
wasn't
wired
up
properly
and
did
not
work.
Fortunately,
the
one
in
the
bedroom
worked
well
enough
so
we
could
sleep
comfortably.
They
were
fixing
the
unit
when
we
left.
Internet
in
our
room
was
very
spotty.
Worked
most
of
the
time
in
the
living
room,
but
not
signal
in
bedroom.
Once
connected,
though,
internet
was
fast
and
reliable.
Felt
very
safe
on
property,
they
had
security
on
site
but
it
was
not
intrusive.
Security
would
walk
around
to
check
the
grounds.
Immediate
neighborhood
very
safe
in
the
day
time,
duty
free
shop
across
the
street,
local
vendor
shops
not
too
far
to
the
north
and
also
a
grocery
store.
There
is
a
small
gift
shop
on
property
as
well.
Now
for
a
couple
of
negatives.
They
gave
us
a
sheet
on
checkout
with
a
calendar
itinerary.
The
"resort
orientation"
did
not
take
place
on
our
first
morning.
A
listed
"rum
tasting"
also
did
not
go
off
as
planned,
but
the
bartender
improvised
with
what
he
had
available
and
made
it
right.
Nightly
entertainment
was
okay,
but
limited.
A
last
minute
Sunday
excursion
was
planned
and
we
didn't
realize
it
could
not
be
done
until
we
got
back
to
the
room
late.
That
was
quite
unfortunate
since
Sunday
is
a
down
day
in
Barbados
so
there
were
few
options
but
to
stay
on
property.
The
snack
bar
wasn't
open
yet
(despite
saying
it
opened
at
11)
before
our
noon
departure,
but
they
found
a
way
to
scramble
to
get
us
an
order
by
11:45.
Food
again
was
great,
but
speaks
to
some
of
the
disorganization.
On
the
last
day,
they
started
posting
on
a
whiteboard
a
daily
schedule,
as
they
were
expecting
an
uptick
in
the
number
of
guests.
In
summary,
the
staff
makes
this
place
great.
I
would
love
to
see
how
this
resort
evolves
with
time
and
more
TLC.
