Great food , good service and friendly staff. A great location for those who love snorkelling and water sports. The entertainment was awesome on most nights. There were quite a few awesome sungers that performed on the week of December 17, 2023. The Royal Police orchestra were great as well. Such a great variety of food as it is an all inclusive club.

Rooms were not clean, the staff were not happy to be there and it showed to all of the guest, the food was well below par and they had a very small amount of spirits/ drinks to choose from. Even though the waterfront, the only "real" access to the beach was over a very rocky and slippery walk to the neighboring resort. Would not go back... even if it was free!

We are staying here from 12/18- until tomorrow. We stayed here using at time share exchange with Interval that would have expired at year end. At first I was disappointed at first glance but that turned out wrong. The resort is not luxury but is very nice. The rooms are not large but are ample and clean. The food/drinks are excellent. The beach is nice though there is no large beach area per se. The beach is chairs facing the sea but this was more than sufficient. The staff are wonderful. They provide friendly and excellent service. All in I will definitely come back. One other point- I do not recommend bringing teens or twenty somethings as they will be bored. Do take an island tour, snorkel and go to Harrison's Cave.

Had the best time, met the nicest people (who were regular visitors, which speaks volumes), food was amazing, bar staff great, waitresses lovely. Best stay in Barbados so far! Night entertainment could be repetitive however they did their best. Ended too early for me but that’s just my opinion. Some are happy to end at 10pm and hit the bed. No regrets don’t listen to any bad reviews. You will have a ball. Shout out to ‘Selector’ at the outside bar, lovely lady playing great music. Shout out to Vincent too. I miss it and cannot wait to come back however heard there was a refurb going on soon after we left. You will be along the famous Sandy beach. We took a free boat ride across and saw some celebrity homes. A must do. I would advise to bring some sea shoes as sometimes crossing the rocks can be uncomfy. I would also recommend Just Grillin which is not too far from hotel by foot. Great shrimps there! Yummy. Although this hotel you will rarely be hungry! I am definitely that person who reads reviews, you will not be disappointed. Love ya long time!

Beautiful island and some nice people - no beach area on resort/ music entertainment not very good and staff in food area were mostly not happy we were there- outside the dining area were very nice but dining area were very abrupt and not happy we were there- being all inclusive- that’s where we spent a lot of time and spent several meals away due to that - resort is beautiful and still enjoyed our stay there despite that - plenty of other nice people there

This is a smaller resort, with limited space and things to do on property. This place has been closed for 3 months prior to opening back up a week before our arrival. There's a significant amount of money being put into this resort for improvements, and you see people hard at work to making that happen. Keep that in mind when I talk about some of my experiences, I think these issues will decrease in time. Most importantly, let's start with the staff. If there is a nicer staff anywhere in the world, I would be surprised. From the moment we arrived we were completely taken care of and met with nothing but smiles and wonderful hospitality. They knew us by name; they knew the drinks we liked; they made us feel like family. The food was outstanding. The first couple of days there was not a buffet; that was started up during our stay for breakfast and lunch. A very good selection and of course offered the traditional English breakfast items along with items American enjoy. Their burgers were chargrilled, and all the other items on the lunch buffet were fantastic. There was a snack menu also served in between lunch and dinner with enough to tide you over or if you happened to miss lunch. Dinner was from a select menu of proteins with a vegetarian option, a starter course and a dessert. Everything we had tasted fresh and really loved the local flavors. They offered filet and surf and turf for an extra charge, I believe that charge was a bit excessive compared to the buffet, and we did not order it. You eat outside under cover, so you will deal with the occasional bugs annoying you, and the birds love to fly to the netting hoping for a handout. Drinks were good. Some of the bartenders were super nice and clearly loved their craft. Some of the other staff wasn't quite as friendly or knowledgeable about how to make certain drinks, but were very pleasant. The variety of liquors was limited, as were the variety of wines, but was enough to satisfy. They had Banks beer on draft. We were never left wanting for a drink. The rooms are in excellent shape, and it looks like they recently redid the bathrooms. There are new air conditioning units installed, and unfortunately, the one in our living room wasn't wired up properly and did not work. Fortunately, the one in the bedroom worked well enough so we could sleep comfortably. They were fixing the unit when we left. Internet in our room was very spotty. Worked most of the time in the living room, but not signal in bedroom. Once connected, though, internet was fast and reliable. Felt very safe on property, they had security on site but it was not intrusive. Security would walk around to check the grounds. Immediate neighborhood very safe in the day time, duty free shop across the street, local vendor shops not too far to the north and also a grocery store. There is a small gift shop on property as well. Now for a couple of negatives. They gave us a sheet on checkout with a calendar itinerary. The "resort orientation" did not take place on our first morning. A listed "rum tasting" also did not go off as planned, but the bartender improvised with what he had available and made it right. Nightly entertainment was okay, but limited. A last minute Sunday excursion was planned and we didn't realize it could not be done until we got back to the room late. That was quite unfortunate since Sunday is a down day in Barbados so there were few options but to stay on property. The snack bar wasn't open yet (despite saying it opened at 11) before our noon departure, but they found a way to scramble to get us an order by 11:45. Food again was great, but speaks to some of the disorganization. On the last day, they started posting on a whiteboard a daily schedule, as they were expecting an uptick in the number of guests. In summary, the staff makes this place great. I would love to see how this resort evolves with time and more TLC.

I wish I took pictures, it's such a lovely hotel. The atmosphere is very serene and most of the staff is very friendly. I went with some coworkers and 1 of them encountered a snappy and rude employee but the other servers, managers and bartenders were very personable, accommodating and helpful. The rooms are clean and well kept and so is the poolside. I would recommend a short stay or day pass for adults.

Great hotel in a beautiful beach area. Lots of activities available. Staff were friendly, helpful, and kind. Rooms were well appointed. Servicing of the rooms was variable. Food was delicious and plentiful with a great choice. Special thanks to Enid, Natasha and Toni, Kim, Kevin, Kim, among others.

This is the best resort to unwind & recharge. Very easy to understand and not overly stimulating, especially that it’s adults only. The team was just wonderful. Food was consistently delicious & fresh & I am missing my morning omelet. We did not do any of the activities or the spa, as we left the resort most days to explore the beautiful island, as the island itself is very safe. Great bar service, especially because we went over low season, so no doubt that added to the ease of the stay. We left with nothing but good memories of the entire trip.

What a fantastic hotel positioned right on the beach. Everything is 5 stars, service, cocktails, activities, entertainment, staff. We barely left the hotel as there's so many things to do. The bar on the beach, 2 restaurants, water sports activities which are free, tenis court and of course the famous piano bar. Lucky enough to have a sea view room 💙 Great holiday and recommended hotel.

Rooms were fairly modern. Had issues with toilet not flushing and AC flooding room. Relocated us to another room but had lengthy waits to get hot water and multiple times had none at all. Went with group that experienced same issues in their rooms. Majority of staff aware very pleasant and accommodating. Small resort with no beach on premises but just a short walk to get to one. Nightly entertainment was good. Seemed to have older guests. Food was decent but not much variety.

This is the worst all inclusive resort I ever stayed in...I really don't know how they remain open. The appearance is old and outdated, grounds not kept, dingy glasses at the bar, food options are non existent. You can tell that the leftover lunch meal is sometimes utilized for dinner. They have 2 restaurants that they take reservations for... Why? I don't know bc the food is not A1 in any way shape or form, after the 8:30 reservations for dinner is complete, there's literally no place to get something to eat if someone is hungry after 11pm..which is crazy!! The other restaurant was out of service on the night I wanted to eat there, so I had to eat at the same boring restaurant another night. This place is not worth the money or my time. When I first arrived I was given a Loft room, which I was aware of ahead of time, what I wasn't aware of is how small the room is...it's basically for 1 person, my friend and I was very uncomfortable. I called and complained about it, and was given a better room that was spacious and meant for 2 people. The staff is not really engaging compared to other resorts I've been too. There are 2 employees that tried to make me feel more comfortable during my stay, so I want to shout out Carmella, and Kastia(the manager) not sure if I spelled her name right, but they genuinely tried to make sure I was happy. I'm not, but I appreciate them being concerned. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The crowd here is senior citizens...and it reminds me of an assisted living home. Not impressed.

I think that I have high expectations and can be quite critical, but I really don’t understand why this hotel has some really bad reviews. We chose very carefully when planning our trip to Barbados, based on affordability, bearing in mind that some resorts cost a small fortune to stay at! In my opinion the club is excellent value for money based on our experience of spending the first five days of our trip to Barbados self catering. If you have never visited here before, the cost of eating out is more than double what you would pay in the UK, so bear this in mind when thinking about the price for all-inclusive hotels. Our room at the club was very spacious, with a large super king-size bed, air-conditioning, a lovely terrace and modern bathroom facilities. It is true that the water does not get topped up during your stay, but you do get four bottles on arrival. I actually love the fact that dinner each night is not a buffet! There’s nothing worse than the thought of eating food that has been sitting out in the open for ages, at least in my view anyway. Dinner was a three course à la carte meal, with four options each night, so something for most people I would say. The quality of the food was also delicious! The bar staff were also excellent, making any cocktail you could think of! The entertainment in the evening was usually a singer, with the piano bar opening at 11 for late drinking. Again, in my personal opinion this is perfectly adequate and is probably pitched right so as not to annoy the older guests too much. It’s true that the Sun loungers get taken very early, but that happens in lots of places! We were never short of finding a sunbed, the only issue was if you wanted one in the shade then you definitely had to get up early. The hotel could easily remedy this by putting more parasols around the pool! As others have described, there are steps down to the ocean from the beach side terrace, but there are handrails and it really isn’t that hard to get into the water. I am severely visually impaired and I managed it fine, just bring some sea shoes if you like and you will have no problem. The only slight criticisms are that glasses could be cleared from the pool area more often and the Sun loungers definitely need to be wiped down at the end of each day to keep them clean! Overall I think this hotel is excellent value for money and we would definitely return here again!

Wow, such a relaxing stay! The hotel was quiet and I got a really good deal as its off peak season in Barbados. Even so there was a great atmosphere, all the guests getting on really well, and the staff are so lovely. Food quality was good with something I liked each meal - cocktails were cold and well made. I booked because it was adult only and wasn't disappointed. Lovely rooms, amazing sea views and within walking distance of Holetown for shopping and alternative nightlife. I would definitely go back and feel nicely recharged! Thanks guys

The staff at the Barbados Resort and Spa were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the Island. My wife and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary here and we enjoyed the food, drinks, nightly entertainment, beach area and water activities offered by the resort. We definitely liked the proximity of the shopping center, cigar lodge and grocery store.

Fantastic mid-level resort. They are just reopening and still working out some kinks. (Nov 2021) We 5 American ladies had a blast. The staff is extremely helpful. Coffee bar was my fave. Great pool. Beach walking near by. Beautiful views. Very British vacationers so it was a bit quiet. Catch the sunset for sure!

Had a great stay here. Wide selection of food and drink, staff are friendly and rooms big and comfortable. We used the watersports facilities and did a couple of excursions - highly recommend the hobby sailing and the turtle swimming. We definitely want to come back.

Here’s the full run-down. The first room was VERY hot and the AC did not work the first night. We asked for another room and were told none were available. We found the Bathroom Window left open so that didn’t help. I went back to the front desk again the next day and we were moved to a new room that was much nicer and the AC worked, but the tub would not drain and sink hot water did not work at all. The staff fixed those items the following day. The Piano bar was not good…they need better talent, he barely knew the words. But we had fun anyway. The Bartender was overworked and there was no blender for many of the listed drinks. There were also no limes so no GNT. No one showed up for the 10am guest information presentation on day 2 so we never got the resort brief. There were dirty glasses everywhere at night and in morning, that’s unacceptable for any resort. General staff friendliness and proactiveness with guests needs improvement. In general they do not make an effort to speak kindly to guests, greet them, or have an attitude of helpfulness. One example, my wife stopped at the front desk to ask for water and it was treated as an impossible task…not accomplished. We get water the first day in our room, but never again. This is a hot climate and cold water should always be available at guest request at an all-inclusive resort. The “beach” is very small and the access to the water is sketchy at best. I got in and had fun, but most people did not.

Amazing holiday the service is amazing, Bajans are the most hospitable people I have ever met, nothing is too much and their manners are top draw, the resort is amazing even the whistling frogs I have found relaxing after the first night, also seen a couple of cheeky monkeys walking around the resort. The sea is only meters away and probably 10*c warmer than the pools. You have to be early to get a sun lounger as the best get taken around 6am. The food all the food is amazing I don't think I have seasoned any of my food as it packs so much flavour. My room overlooked a bar I could see the ocean I would of preferred a ocean view. Overall 10/10 holiday I will definitely be back one day.

This is a nice-enough hotel that I sadly would not recommend for work-travelers such as myself. I came as an engineering consultant to provide service to a local company for a week, and here are my thoughts that I hope will help better inform your decision. Negatives First: -1 star for scheduling: The service and event schedules were a bit unusual and inconvenient. For instance, breakfast starts at 7:30am, which is a shame because I had to be on site by 8am so I had to make do with the room's coffee machine. Most other hotels I've stayed in start breakfast at 7am or even as early as 6am. Same with dinner: it starts at 6:30pm, which is later than I am used to. I ended my work-days at 5pm, so I had to wait all that time feeling hungry or get a snack before dinner was finally accessible. Thankfully you can request pre-packed snack plates from the restaurant the day beforehand. -1 star for live music hours: much to further my inconvenience, there is live music every night from 8:30pm - 10:30pm (sometimes 11pm) that I could hear from my room. Now, for those who come here on vacation that must be lovely, but for me who had to get up the next day at 6:30am to work it was irritating. Good thing I brought good ear plugs. -0.5 star for little room oddities: it was a bit irritating that my room did not feel properly lit, especially lacking in ceiling and wall lamps. The best I could do was to turn-on every single little table lamp one by one, then turn them off the same way before bed. Then there was the water heater, which on occasion would take about 10 minutes to finally start warming the water. Now the positives: + 1 stars for staff: The staff here was friendly and courteous. Definitely among the best of hotels I've been in. I thank them for attending me so well. + 1.5 stars for ambiance, cleanliness and location: aside from the nightly music, the overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. The design and look of the facilities, the pool area, the restaurant, and the room itself felt very nice and was always kept very clean. My own room was always left impeccable by the time I came back from work. Plenty of plants and nice scenery, especially on the beachside from where you can view spectacular sunsets by the restaurants. +1 for good food: once the food finally came it was definitely good, mostly. The buffet options were great, but the a-la-carte options were served in smaller portions than I would typically find elsewhere. When I finally got a chance to try breakfast it was just okay. Great coffee from the bar though, just ask your waiter to bring you a latte or cappuccino from there instead of the regular one they serve. Hope this was helpful for prospect visitors and for hotel management insights.

My stay at this hotel can only be described as a disheartening journey into disappointment. From the moment I arrived, the promise of a luxurious escape quickly faded into a lackluster reality. The rooms, while seemingly inviting, couldn't salvage the sinking ship that was this hotel's experience. The air conditioning may have been efficient, but it felt like a minor victory amidst a sea of letdowns. The culinary experience, touted as a highlight of the all-inclusive package, was a never-ending descent into mediocrity. Each meal was an exercise in disillusionment, with dishes consistently arriving bland and overcooked. The repetition of the same uninspiring menu day after day left me longing for even a modicum of variety. With only two restaurants to choose from and one of them shuttered during my stay, dining options were alarmingly scarce. It's almost unfathomable that an all-inclusive resort could fail so spectacularly in providing diverse and satisfying meals. The absence of a beach, a fundamental expectation for many resort travelers, felt like a cruel joke. Instead of serene oceanfront views and the soothing sound of waves, guests were met with a void, an empty promise. In the privacy of my room, a simple convenience was inexplicably missing. The absence of plugs in the bathroom defied logic and modern-day expectations. It was a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of my disappointment, but it added to the sense of neglect. Even the promise of snacks throughout the day, a hallmark of all-inclusive resorts, was nothing more than a mirage. When I requested a snack, the response was a dismissive suggestion to venture across the street to purchase them. The irony of being directed to spend extra money for basic amenities at an "all-inclusive" resort was not lost on me. Perhaps the most disheartening aspect of my stay was the staff's apparent indifference to the guests' dissatisfaction. It was as though they had resigned themselves to the reality that this was simply how things were. The absence of a customer-centric approach left me feeling isolated in my disappointment. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was an exercise in shattered expectations. From the lackluster food to the limited dining options, the absence of a beach, the inconvenient bathroom setup, and the unaccommodating staff, it was an experience marked by disappointment at every turn. This all-inclusive resort fell woefully short of its promises, and I will be seeking reimbursement for the lack of amenities and value presented on its website. My journey into disillusionment at this establishment will not soon be forgotten.

An absolutely fabulous adults only beachfront property. The team here take care of your every whim and you cannot fault the experience one bit. I wholeheartedly advise stopping here when you are in Barbados.

This was quite the disappointment from the onset. I would discourage anyone from going. 1. We arrived past check in time and they had us wait an hour in the lobby while our room was getting cleaned. Not a great welcome. 2. Our room had a leak. We were awakened by dripping and found a pool of water in our room. Maintenance came and put down a bunch of towels. Water in room next night. We moved to a different room. 4. Dinner service, when buffet was unavailable, was extremely slow, at least 2.5 hours. We had to get up and leave the restaurant to go to the bar to get our drinks. It was highly disorganized. We left before dessert. The BBQ night didn't have enough food. We were left standing in line for 25 minutes for ribs and chicken to come out from the kitchen. I have food allergies and the waitress gave me an appetizer I didn't order and couldn't eat. I asked her to remove it and she said to eat it any way. 5. We planned our excursions around the daily activity schedule. They came in and announced to the group that was waiting, that the time was changed to 30 minutes later. Same thing occurred the next day. Can't understand why things were poorly run. Had to Share so no one else goes and is disappointed

First experience of Barbados and wasn't disappointed. Great location, service and friendly. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are typically Carribbean style and the beds very comfortable. We will be back for sure 🇧🇧

The negatives The food was just ok, poor all inclusive service and very noisy in the evenings. There's a mini bar in the room which is empty and not stocked at all. Bottles of water are supplied on arrival but never replenished. You have to book an evening meal which is either a buffet or a choice from a menu. The evening buffet is sometimes leftovers from the lunch buffet, for example, lamb stew for lunch, lamb curry for dinner. One night we had to choose from the menu. My wife had the soup starter followed by fish in sauce. The sauce was just a spoonfull of the soup! Very poor really. The evening entertainment is very loud and goes on until 11pm so if you want an early night you need your ear plugs. There is no viable beach except at low tide. There are good beaches to the left and right of the resort. The music played by the hotel is not for the guests (it's adult only, middle aged and over mainly), it appears to be for the staff 99% reggae. The positives The sun loungers are very comfy. The staff on the whole were great, some need to smile a little more. The staff at the beach bar were particularly good. there's a piano player in the early evening who was great. This was our first time in Barbados and would go back in a heartbeat but not stay at this hotel

The nicest people imaginable- could not do more for us and so friendly. The views are beautiful but the Wi-Fi and AC didn’t work (impossible to sleep even after the engineers came in) and the food wasn’t great (same thing every day). The beach is not very nice (too rocky to go in) so you have to go towards Sandy Lane for real sandy Bajan beach. The resort is also small so it was warfare for seaside loungers - we had to get up at 6am to get half a chance. The was no entertainment to speak of and the rooms were extremely noisy because the speakers bass from the music in the lounge was actually making our furniture resonate. It was insane, like sleeping at a rave. However the owners of the hotel are far from nice - don’t give them your money. They also run a dodgy scam with the taxi companies so they charge you double on the way back because the hotel takes a big cut from poor local taxi drivers. There are better businesses that treat their workers better

There is no way this is a four star resort. Food is terrible, it is over crowded and most sun beds are saved by 7am so no chance of getting one. It is seriously run down and under staffed. Staff would rather talk to each than serve you. Entertainment is so loud (and bad at times) that I had to sleep with ear plugs every night. Checking out early and paying for a second hotel to go elsewhere as it has ruined my holiday. Don’t stay here

One of the worst resorts my husband and I have ever been to. Rude services, awful food ( They try to save money on food too much, they don't even cook classic steak, my husband lost weight on staying there for 7 days because he could not eat their food), also, there are too many mosquitoes and they don't even offer spray or anything against them. We paid 500$ per night for what actually costs 150$. The doors in this resort have wide gaps so the mosquitoes easily come in and eat u all over for a night. Also, they still force you to wear masks...ON VACATION! I would literally suggest going to Mexico instead. For 500$ a day you get all the best services you dream about! Mexicans respect their tourists and always do their best to improve things. Very disappointed.

I just need to stop and say how grateful I am for the hospitality and kindness my girlfriend and I were granted at Club Barbados. We stayed the week after Christmas and I almost didn’t leave since I could work from home, but that didn’t go over well. First day I really didn’t know what to do but someone came over right away and asked if I wanted my chair brought over to the beach area because there were no chairs available. I said yes. Everyday after that I carried our chairs over there because these beautiful people will do anything to make sure your vacation is top notch. And it’s such a small price to pay to wheel your beach chair to your own spot in paradise: Buy some snorkel gear and water shoes from Amazon before you come (trust me) you’ll understand. Go see Jay for swimming with sea turtles or Steve for a trip to swim in the caves. Make sure you go see the island, the people, the culture. They never made me feel like anything less than family…the last night we were there was New Years Eve…the guests and the staff who took such great care of us all week all got on the dance floor and brought in the New Year together…

We arrived Feb 19 and left Feb 24. Had a fantastic time at The Club Barbados! Reasons: (1) Staff - everyone - super friendly and professional, very responsive. (2) Food - excellent, especially the a la carte dinners, great menus and food. Make sure you try their soups. (3) Entertainment - very good nightly programs, was impressed. (4) Location - what a great spot - to kick back in a lounge chair watching the sea or around the pools. Can easily walk to Limegrove, Chattel Villages or a large supermarket. At low tide you can take a long, sand in your toes, walk south along the various beaches. (5) Rooms - large with plenty of storage space. Lastly - give them a break on maintenance. They were shut down for 15 to 18 months in a tropical climate and are working on the landscape and facilities. One of the housekeepers said, "It's easier if you're working every day, it's hard coming back from COVID."

100% return. Having had 30+ holidays in Barbados previously. I can thoroughly recommend this Hotel. From the management right through to the guy with the leaf blower they all contribute to making it a most pleasurable holiday. Entertainers are above average and the food well above average be prepared to go on a diet when you leave. 100% covid safe with good measures in place..Thanks to all for making it a memorable Christmas/ New Year.
