This Hotel has the Best Pudding and Souse on Saturdays. Little Expensive but worth it. Me and my wife come in almost every Saturday for their great food in the morning. Also they have fresh sweet bread and pastries to die for. Highly Recommended!

We organised a regional 3 day meeting at Golden Sands in November. The service from the moment we initially contacted the hotel right up until check out was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful, as one of my colleagues said 'this hotel represents what hospitality is'. The building is a little tired but the staff and the home cooked food completely outweighs this. The rooms are really big and bright and beds very comfy. It is very reasonable priced for the quality of service.

It's OK, was very clean, night staff were very grumpy, day staff very happy 😊 I would stay again, it's very old fashioned, but plenty of space clean and tidy. Kitchen 2 bedrooms, balcony, small bathroom with shower and toilet. Then a separate large area with sink and wardrobe/ dressing area. Rooms aircon was weak. So it was hot. Didn't help that it face a wardrobe, positioned wrongly. Walk over the road to the beach I a plus. A short walk to, supermarket bank restaurants, its ok.

Went here for Saturday Souse. It was very busy. The food is very good and plenty. A long wait for food but I think that’s down to staffing issues. It’s best to book in advance if you can otherwise you may not get seated.

Had dinner here on a Sunday night - I was the only person in the restaurant. The waitress recommended the marlin and rice - that’s what I had an washed it down with a banks. 50barbados for the food and drink. I’d go back. The waitress was really friendly.

Very friendly and accommodating staff when we had to stay overnight when our flight got cancelled. Beautiful rooms and great views of the beach. It was nice to hear the soothing sounds of the sea to help you sleep.

They have a restaurant on premises, best food on the island they have amazing holiday celebrations. Rooms are always cleaned upon request you have a small kitchen in the room so if you don't feel like going out the supermarket is right around the corner come back to the room cook and enjoy the view of the ocean it's across the street perfect place to enjoy and recuperate. The staff is amazing always helpful. They even clean your dirty dishes for you. 100% recommend if you want to just get away from your everyday busy life and just lay back and think of what ever is on your mind and make sure to explore you will love bridge town

I just visited the restaurant which was set with basic furniture and staffed by a very busy and organised young lady who worked with a very high degree of efficiency.

The front desk staff and security were very friendly and helpful. My room on the first floor slept 4 and both rooms had air conditioning. It had a balcony with a lovely view of the pool and a small one of the ocean. The kitchenette had utensils, dishes, glasses, dish detergent, small microwave, and a small apartment refrigerator capable of holding an adequate grocery haul for those who prefer to cook some or most of their meals. They also have the option of renting the adjoining rooms for much larger parties. As of 11/20/2021 they are an approved quarantine hotel for travelers who are asked to quarantine by airport staff until their COVID results are returned or for their required quarantine period. The rate was reasonable $99.00 per night. I was told by the front desk staff that rates were to change the following week.

It's a nice home from home hotel experience in Barbados. Stayed here for 1 night and was pleasant. Beach is close by and restaurant is on sight with room service. Nice service and very clear on the rules they have. Room was enough for me plus 2 people. It had a kitchen, bathroom and 2 beds.

Rooms were clean and rooms had an old cottage feeling. Overall it's fine but nothing fancy in hotel. Food was good and service is definitely fast.

Amazing staff!! I didn't stay at this hotel, I stayed at an Air B&B within walking distance, but used Golden Sands as a checkpoint for pick ups and drop offs during my vacation. Brenda at the front desk went far and beyond helping me get a taxi to the airport upon departure. Taxi showed up actually early, and was professional and nice. I am so thankful for all the nice staff that helped me numerous times, even allowing me to use the restroom. The restaurant has good food as well!! Great entertainment!!

Stayed one night, but great value for this time of year. The beach was literally across the street, about a hundred yards.

I like the management of Golden Sands Hotel. We've conducted business with each other in the past. So when it was time to return to Barbados in this COVID 19 era, I chose GSH as my quarantine place. After taking my test at the Grantley Adams Airport, I was assigned a taxi (Z 210) to my destination. The driver was the most unfriendly I have encountered in a long while. He didn't even greet me and unceremoniously left me and the luggage in the driveway of the hotel. But I digress! I did ask if we could stop to buy some food, but understandably that was forbidden. When I arrived at the hotel and realized that there was nothing at all, not even a bottle of water in the refrigerator, I was a bit concerned. The restaurant would soon be closed and I would have to spend $20 to have food delivered from a fast food venue. I rarely eat fast food! Several people I know have had similar experiences. When I managed a BedandBreakfast, my guests always found fruit, assorted teas and water when they arrived. Given COVID Protocols and restrictions, such provisión is even more critical. I told the restaurant staffer, who I did not know, my position. I am a purposely conscious eater. She offered to pay for half of my meal! By the time the wings and salad ( the best of the available choices) arrived she informed me that the bill had been paid! Thanks GSH management! Do consider offering guests at least some fruit, bottled water and tea. Surely $5 of the money paid can be used for that.

The staff was 5 star. Customer service was 5 star. The dinner was compatible with the west coast and half the cost including taste and service. Ms. Shepard our waitress was 5 star and i will be back. Even the concierge to our room was on point after climbing 4 stairs. Security was on point also. I felt comfortable. Great job golden sands

The experience here wasn't great. I am not vaccinated and so I was very discriminated against. Never again. Thanks, I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything.

Beds were terrible, two single beds with uncomfortable, noisy spring mattresses joined together to make it look like a double bed. We could barely sleep at night from the noise of movement of furniture coming from the room above. The room had a few knives and forks but no dish detergent to clean them. We had to quarantine there for a night so we could not go out of our room. The food from the restaurant was average. But the first meal was delivered without knives forks and napkins. We had to use bath soap to clean available utensils to eat our food.

What a dump. My sister in-law stayed here for a one night quarantine and didn't feel safe...the rooms are very outdated and there is a wide opening underneath the door. The hotel needs a good renovation and the staff are very unprofessional.

Saturday Karaoke at the Golden sands Well if you can stand the diabolical wait for food and drinks knock yourself out .waited @ 17 24 two hours for food and still waiting . Drinks are hit and miss order a rum sour which was nice the second wasn’t good. I’m sure if it was because we got feed up of waiting and tried to order at the bar . Never again staff stretched to the limit .the lady who was taking orders did her very best to keep us entertained, but there is a limit.

Attended karaoke on Sat NEVER AGAIN We waited 1 hour just to get drink and over 2 hours for food Thing is they knew the numbers and didn’t have the staff -the staff were worked off their feet but this is a management issue I’m still here waiting had to go and get my own drinks decided if food is not here when drinks are finished I’m heading to the Gap🤬

😐 I'll start this review by saying that I've been to a couple of Sandals resorts and have become a fan of the brand. They do provide a high level of service and value but the Royal Barbados and Barbados resorts fall short of my prior experiences. First, the rooms are nice. We stayed in one of the l...
