I
like
the
management
of
Golden
Sands
Hotel.
We've
conducted
business
with
each
other
in
the
past.
So
when
it
was
time
to
return
to
Barbados
in
this
COVID
19
era,
I
chose
GSH
as
my
quarantine
place.
After
taking
my
test
at
the
Grantley
Adams
Airport,
I
was
assigned
a
taxi
(Z
210)
to
my
destination.
The
driver
was
the
most
unfriendly
I
have
encountered
in
a
long
while.
He
didn't
even
greet
me
and
unceremoniously
left
me
and
the
luggage
in
the
driveway
of
the
hotel.
But
I
digress!
I
did
ask
if
we
could
stop
to
buy
some
food,
but
understandably
that
was
forbidden.
When
I
arrived
at
the
hotel
and
realized
that
there
was
nothing
at
all,
not
even
a
bottle
of
water
in
the
refrigerator,
I
was
a
bit
concerned.
The
restaurant
would
soon
be
closed
and
I
would
have
to
spend
$20
to
have
food
delivered
from
a
fast
food
venue.
I
rarely
eat
fast
food!
Several
people
I
know
have
had
similar
experiences.
When
I
managed
a
BedandBreakfast,
my
guests
always
found
fruit,
assorted
teas
and
water
when
they
arrived.
Given
COVID
Protocols
and
restrictions,
such
provisión
is
even
more
critical.
I
told
the
restaurant
staffer,
who
I
did
not
know,
my
position.
I
am
a
purposely
conscious
eater.
She
offered
to
pay
for
half
of
my
meal!
By
the
time
the
wings
and
salad
(
the
best
of
the
available
choices)
arrived
she
informed
me
that
the
bill
had
been
paid!
Thanks
GSH
management!
Do
consider
offering
guests
at
least
some
fruit,
bottled
water
and
tea.
Surely
$5
of
the
money
paid
can
be
used
for
that.
