This is my favourite spa on island. Words can not express how much I love this spa. From their heated pool, to steam room, to lunch on the deck, what more could I ask for. This feels like a get away in the midst of all of the amenities close by on the west coast. The staff I’ve interacted with have been professional and offered excellent customer service. I usually get a massage when I go and always enjoy it. My only regret it that they close around September when I celebrate my birthday, but I understand as they must have some downtime. Everything is well maintained with well manicured gardens. I love it here!!!

I visited Barbados for the first time for my birthday last week and stayed at Coral Reef Club not knowing what to expect.I must say that the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff was excellent πŸ‘Œ Including the Spa team who were were very accommodating and I got the best massage ever too! The hotel surroundings are very green and well maintained. I was made to feel welcome and nothing was an issue for staff to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very spacious and felt like a hole away from home, even my guest who lives in Barbados was surprised by the size compared to other hotels, the cleaning was always on point and to my surprise done more than once a day with change of towels of which I am used to hotels only cleaning in the morning once a day. On my birthday I found a gift 🎁 in my room from the Owners, The Ohara family which I thought was very sweet and very kind as I did not expect this, more over Mr Ohara came over to the beachside to wish me happy birthday on the following day and again I was just surprised at the personal level and the fact that the time and effort taken showed how genuine the leadership is to make guest feel at home at all times. I also heard some history about Coral Reef from a taxi driver who said that having been driving guests to several places for more than 30 years, he knew that Coral Reef had the best staff who were loyal due to how they are well looked after. He also mentioned that guests also spoke to him about how excellent the hotel standards are and that they would not choose a different place when they return. It is for the above reasons that I plan to return next summer as there is no available availability during December/January, thank you so much to all the staff and leadership, you are an excellent team and have made my experience so memorable and can’t wait to se you all again, keep up the excellent work, I will always recommend Coral Reef to anyone visiting Barbados πŸ†

I've only ever had the brunch here and it's just delicious, I wholly appreciate the options available, the worst thing about it is that my stomach let's me down because it can't hold more food : (

I've been to several Small Leading of the World but this one is clearly the worst. When you pay that amount for a bedroom you are expecting a much higher standard. The staff at the restaurant bar is very nice but the Spa is terrible. I waited 50 min for a massage and nobody came to say sorry for the delay, I finally leave as nobody never showed up. The spa is closed on Sunday so forget your massage during a long week ends away. The laundry service takes 3 days. I was reprimanded as I took some hot water at the breakfast bar for my tea. Generally while it is charming hotel the level of amenities and service is not in line with a leading hotel of the world I clearly not recommend the place. Overpriced and under managed. A hotel like it's clientele, more than a touch past it's prime.

On Monday my partner and I came here and had a seriously lovely cocktail and bite to eat, michael our waiter (I think it was) was incredible couldn’t have done anything more for us. I brought my parents back the next day to show them this awesome spot, we where actually thinking it might not be a bad place to actually stay next year. We where refused service and in the most unfriendly way that made us feel most unwelcome despite the fact we’d be invited back the day before and they had so many free tables. We had driven 30 minutes from the south coast and it was incredibly embarrassing and cold in the way that we where treated. So disappointing considering Barbados is such a welcoming island. I would give this place no stars if I could. You should always remember you don’t know who your speaking too and never look down on anybody.

A little niche of paradise. Genteel, old world Caribbean. The owners (yes, they are resident) and staff couldn't be, simply, more gracious and accommodating. Search Barbados and the Caribbean if you want, but you will not easily find this true taste of paradise elsewhere.

Great place to stay when in Barbados. Understated luxury. We'll be back.

Cannot say enough good things about the Coral Reef Club. Perfection in every way.

We've been going to the Coral Reef Club for over ten years. The food, staff and accomodations are excellent. If they weren't, we wouldn't keep returning.

I am writing this review whilst still staying at the hotel as I feel it necessary to immediately express just how wonderful our stay has been at Coral Reef Club so far. Firstly, upon arrival and checking in at reception, the hotel owner (who I believe is called Karen) greeted my wife and I, and asked us about our stay at the hotel and Barbados overall. What a beautiful touch! I don't believe I've ever had a hotel manager take the time to introduce themselves and this just made for such a great introduction to what has been such an outstanding stay. We were then taken to our room by Nigel, who has been one of the highlights of our stay. Nigel was so welcoming and hospitable in a way that makes you feel like you've been friends for such a long time and he has been another great reason why we've truly found this to be a wonderful experience. He also served my wife and I the most refreshing and delicious complimentary mocktails that we've tasted on the island. I struggled for months to choose a hotel amongst the array of options in Barbados and wasn't entirely sure about Coral Reef but, honestly, words cannot express just how overjoyed both my wife and I have been by not just the outstanding service that we've experienced so far, but also how stunning the hotel is. We can't get over the interior designs of our room (which is only a standard room) and the beautiful high beamed ceilings which we've been marveling at since arriving. Honestly, the pictures on the website don't do Coral Reef enough justice as my breath was really taken away upon arrival. From the pool areas to the spa, the entrance , the rooms and the restaurants....Coral Reef has most certainly been one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world (I travel a lot). My only regret....I wish we'd booked to stay here longer. Sadly my wife and I are checking out today. Thank you to Coral Reef for making our honeymoon stay one to remember. Also a very special thanks to the wonderful and delightful Natasha who very kindly arranged a taxi to and from and nearby restaurant for us.

We were there 59 years ago on our honeymoon. The Coral Reef is now even more spectacular. The intimacy is there because it is a beautiful compound, with privacy and no "big box" atmosphere that you get from the big name chains. We have visited Barbados on many occasions and plan to return again, perhaps for our 60th wedding anniversary.

Stayed there for 2 nights recently, it’s a beautiful hotel, has great/friendly staff & ideal location. Only negative: we were not told at check-in that there is a dresscode for both breakfast & dinner at the restaurant (long trousers & shirt/polo required for male guests in the evening), this feels a bit outdated & left us with slightly negative feelings, especially since only one table was occupied for the dinner service that evening (we were there at 7pm, which I’d assume is when most people go for dinner).

Twice my wife booked a massage here, and both times they emailed us days later advising that the time offered was no longer available. It seems that they don't regularly monitor their emails, and will reallocate times until their next email check (which appears to be around every 2 days). So make sure you phone up.

Our favourite hotel, we always stay here. Excellent, well-appointed rooms with thoughtful touches (fresh ice and water twice a day, toaster and kettle, daily tennis coaching etc). Delicious food including brilliant breakfast buffet on a beautiful beach with great snorkelling right on your doorstep and very friendly staff who remember us year after year!

Just to say I contacted the hotel to try and organise a small function. On this occasion they were unable to help but I must commend Kay! Her response was Prompt, polite and professional. If this is how general queries are addressed then it must bode well for actual guests.

An elegant and relaxing retreat. Fantastic staff at all levels. Can I suggest some modernisation would be in order.

Excellent massage really helped my neck stiffness. Shame the thermal pool was not working, which to me would have made it so much better, you cant advertise a thermal pool and its not working. A key element for a Spa hence should be a priority to get fixed.

Went for breakfast on Sunday. BD$100 per head and kids under 12 are BD$50. All you can eat buffet breakfast typical large hotel. Linked to Accor Hotel Chain. Good food and great outdoor terrace view of ocean.

I visited the hotel for the second time in 30 years. The last visit was in 1993. The hotel remains a comfortable place facing a beautiful beach ahd the staff are friendly. The weekly reception at the owner's guest house provides an opportunity to meet other guests. I hope to visit the hotel again in the near future, not waiting for another 30 years :-).
