We went there for 10 days in march this year (2018) and loved every second of it. The beach is fabulous, the sea fabulously calm, the hotel is old but has character and although isn't shiny shiny brand new chrome and stainless steel it's exactly what I expect to see of a coastal Caribbean hotel that's settled nicely into its surroundings..... staff brilliant, food adequate to good, drinks good, service good, location brilliant oh and WiFi very strong, I got a signal while on a boat about 150 yards away in the sea. On the whole it was the best holiday we have had for many many a year and we can't wait till December when we return.

Staff are exceptional, you are always greeted with a smile, they work hard from dawn to dusk and go out of the way to make you feel welcome. The hotel itself has seen better days and Rex Resorts should be ashamed at the lack of investment in the infrastructure but if you look past the tired buildings peeling floorboards and enjoy the great location (literally just 5 min walk into the heart of holetown) then you won’t regret booking here.

A welcome surprise to the west coast that's not going to cost you an arm and a leg. The beach is gorgeous. I did an impromptu photoshoot with my girlfriend there. The pool is nice, the sunset is stunning, food was good too. The only loss of star is for quality of room, they could use with some renovations.

Location: wonderful Views: stunning Cleanliness: just adequate. too much litter and STILL using plastic straws! Food: needs improvement / lack of choice Hospitality: the staff are friendly but some could do with more customer service training Facilities: good pool, various water sports equipment, beauty salon Maintenance: pretty poor. lots of things to fix / improve - there is an air of faded grandeur / better days have long since passed... and some things are positively a risk / potentially dangerous. Value for money: not bad It’s hardly surprising that this place is lacking in certain areas. Attention to detail has been lost and maybe motivation is low due to the fact that the hotel is due to close for total demolition fairly soon.

Great value for money on a beautiful beach. Well worth to upgrade room to ocean view. Safe and Wifi are free and WiFi was good even to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drink very good, but sometimes food could do with more choice. Great location. Don't be put off by any bad reviews from the past as we could not thought it.

Great staff. Great service. Clean rooms. Older property. Good drinks. Did the All Inclusives option. We would've loved more food choices, but, we never went hungry. The food on offer was always delicious as well. Loved the soups. The beach right in front of the hotel is absolutely amazing. West Coast beaches are where it's at. They try to have something going on in the evenings for entertainment. They had a live band once. You can also easily walk to 1st Street for entertainment etc. I would absolutely return to Discovery Bay in a heart beat!

Lovely staff, quiet environment, a wonderful location for either your whole family or you and that special someone. It's located on the beach and one can hear the beautiful sound of birds chirping all day long. The garden is well kept and contains a variety of lovely tropical trees and flowers.

The first impressions of the hotel are good. The grounds are beautiful and the building is well maintained. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and found drinks for us whilst we checked in. The service is slow, but that's island time for you. I did find the first night that our air conditioner made an intermittent rattle that didn't get fixed by the onsite handyman even after a couple of visits. I ended spending the week up at night at random times during the night trying to stop the noise myself. The food is delicious not classy but delicious and I would recommend it. We went all inclusive which I would recommend and enjoyed the garden, pool, beach, food and drink for the week we were there.

Discovery bay is under new management which is good for it. My sister and I have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks here and wanted to stay longer but due to family commitments had to come home. The staff could not have helped us any more they were brilliant, the place is very clean and well laid out. we were there march/april in the low season could have done with more entertainment only on 3 nights a week. Breakfast and lunch very good but evening meal poor, I am sure new manager will change that. It did not state on any website it is a non smoking hotel, having said that I was allowed to smoke on balcony and by the pool as long as not indoors it was not a problem. We are looking forward to going back next .Such lovely people

The location is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough for you. We had a fantastic room ours was no 80 which in itself was spacious but we had the added benefit of a lounge as well with a small kitchenette fridge sink etc. This also had a double balcony which was great as we were a party of 6 in total so inviting them round for a pre dinner drink was easy. The food was really good. The al a carte was well cooked with a choice for all. The buffet style breakfast lunch and dinner also had a good variety with choices for even the fussiest eaters. Cocktails were great and the drinks good quality. Facilities whilst yes in places were a bit tired were clean and the beds really comfy. All in all location, size, food and drink along with lovely staff made it great value for money. Sandy Lane its not but it is a good cost effective all inclusive.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Exceptional and outstanding luxury. The attentive staff, wonderful service, location, decor, drinks, food and atmosphere can not be faulted. πŸ‘πŸ‘ My wife Sarah and I spent the first night of our honeymoon in Barbados at Zaccios. We arrived, sat at the bar and requested a "Surprise" for our first drink. Without a doubt this was the most phenomenal cocktail we have ever tasted and we have tried more drinks than your average heavy drinkers lol....

πŸ‘πŸ‘ With all the shutters open its quite the open air restaurant. High top tables are a plenty, but will fill up quickly around supper time. Ordering is easy with an amazing menu with several choices from fish to jerk chicken and your favorite salad. The food is absolutely amazing.

πŸ‘ No fancy fixtures, but a cool vibe. The staff isn't the most attentive but you will be served in a timely manner. Food is good and the drinks aren't watered down. Perfect Saturday evening vibe with friends.

πŸ‘ I’ve been here more times than I can count, including for a wedding. What a great location. My most recent visit was for Mother’s Day and it was one of the first times going out since COVID and having a baby and I was not disappointed that we selected here, the food was exceptionally delicious, espe...
