Wow what an incredible place! It is relaxing, smart and beautiful. We just got married here and thank goodness we did!! The staff were consistent with going above and beyond, particularly Onita who helped us to plan the wedding- she was always one step ahead and such a lovely person. As a solo female traveler, I felt very unsafe and traumatized. Someone that they claimed was security tried to enter my room around 3-4 in the morning. When I went to the general manager Ken Flockhart he had no empathy in his heart and instead went straight to trying to defend the hotel. He initially lied and said he would go look at the cameras (which he did not). The second lie was when he told my family that I had left when I was actually still waiting for him to review the cameras and I was sitting in the same area he had left me. When trying to get a full refund for the remaining days I had left, they refused to give me a FULL refund even after I expressed to Mr.Flockhart how traumatized I was. Thankfully my family got in touch with the owner of the hotel, Mr. Wayne Capaldi, who had a little more empathy and claims he will fully refund me. I will update this review once the money is back in my account.

The Sandpiper is the most lovely hotel you can only have dreams about. Every visit I have had year after year I am treated as family. The grounds, the food, the exceptional service will keep me coming back over and over. I also play tennis every day with the best guest tennis professional ever. I’ve met fabulous guests and the Manager Ken Flockhart is a GEM! Every time I visit it is a delight. I also feel very comfortable,safe and anything I might need, they are always there to provide. Thank you so much!!! I’ll be back

My wife and I have stayed at the sandpiper (and CR) annually for the last 8 years. The rooms are well appointed. The beach and surrounding beaches are the best on the island (ask the locals who visit the area around the Sandpiper!) the swimming and access to some awesome snorkeling and tennis coaching !! The food is always spectacular… and most importantly the staff are amazing and caring people …

First rate in every way. Beautiful location and facilities and a superb staff. All that and kid friendly. We had a group of 11 and everyone raved about the vacation. Easy walking to close restaurants for dinner. Everything is calibrated to insure that your stay on Barbados is memorable and they deliver.

Never been to a better place on this earth. Service is amazing. Rooms are exquisite. You can either eat in the restaurant or have it delivered to your porch for breakfast and dinner and the food is wonderful. Two pools one in Olympic lap pool. A tiny gym but well appointed. Lovely grounds. If you sit out on the chaise lounges and look at the water someone will come by and offer you sorbet. We would go again in a heartbeat

Traveler beware. They go into rooms when they think you are not in. They will also try to lie about it when they get caught on camera. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone families or single vacationers.

Sensational. Great location, great food, attentive and friendly staff who would go to all lengths to ensure you were comfortable. I’m not sure what the fake reviews below mean as this place is as safe as it gets.

AMAZING!! Went here on our honeymoon & was beyond perfect. From our room, to the food and beach everything was great. We will be back.

It was beyond what I had expected my birthday trip was the best everrrr, and I want to thank everyone for making it the best 6 days, from the hotel manager Wayne welcoming us showing us to our room and all the amenities the hotel have to offer. Ken, Karen, Shaunette, Wyatt and all the sandpipers team that made our stay enjoyable thank you and I love you guys.

A seriously good hotel. Oozes quality in every sense from the chairs to the beds to the food to the smell & so on. Genuinely one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Staff are all on the ball, happy & friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone…… Just a shame it was fully booked when we tried to stay again !

This hotel has everything you may be looking for in a romantic trip. It's a small place so you can get special and personalized attention from the staff. Everyone looking forward to turn your stay amazing since the reservation until the checkout. The beach is great with one of the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen, crystal clear water with marine life since you step in the water. Restaurant and bar with great food and drinks. The location is also good with some good restaurants nearby. Will definitely come back on our next stay in Barbados!

We just came back a week ago after our third time at the Sandpiper. We absolutely love it. Such a beautiful hotel, intimate with excellent staff who always go out of their way to help. The food is delicious and the rooms are beautiful and very homely. We miss the Sandpiper already! ❤️

Always one of our favourite spots for lunch, and given the high-end nature of the hotel the food and wine are excellent value. I had the lobster tacos yesterday and at 54B$ it was my favourite dish of the holiday (along with Nishi's lobster maki) Also, a shout out for the Executive Chef (Andrew) whom we bumped into when coming off the beach, having been soaked by a freak wave which rendered our mobile phones inoperable. My wife grabbed him, thinking he was a waiter, and asked if he could get us some rice to see if the phones could be saved. I would expect most Executive Chefs to consider this beneath them and, at best, to order an underling to get the rice for us, but not this EC who rushed off to the kitchen and returned with a big bag of rice for us. And we were not residents at the Sandpiper... Class. Thanks again, Andrew, the rice did the trick for my phone. Sadly, my wife had to buy a new one - perhaps her dead Samsung preferred white rice, not the good quality brown rice delivered!

Can’t say enough good things. Fabulous service, amazing location and wonderful food.

Could not have asked for a better vacation- all thanks to the wonderful staff at the sandpiper. The staff made our stay better than expected and treated us like we were their top priority. They were just so incredibly nice. The food was delicious, the accommodations were fantastic (beach views, clean, easy to get to, nicely decorated). Would highly recommend for a short vacation or long stay. We will for sure be back.

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel. Service is great and the "look" terrific, but the food was largely disappointing. One of us had the catch of the day, some very dry marlin, and the grouper tempura was badly fried -- no crispness whatsoever, and lacking in taste which, if it had taste, would have been overwhelmed by a tomato paste puree. The crispy pork rind shrimp were tasty, the cioppino copious but, again, the delicacy of the fish over-competed by the tomato broth. A not well prepared menu for the price. We won't be back.

Wow, this place is nice. It isn’t a huge space but the pools are great, the ambiance is really organic and the service is top notch. The food at the restaurants was wonderful and the beach is lapping right up to the hotel.

Great service by our waitress Jennal, Happy and attentive service. The rum punch was way to sour and not strong enough, but was changed at no charge . Some dishes like squid tasty but over priced for the portion .The Roti ,chicken rap and Tuna specials really good .The location is exceptional.Walked in off the beach so rooms not checked. I would recommend this spot

The hotel and the beach are excellent! 5* indeed, but what exceeded my expectation was the staff. They were all passionate about what they do and gave more than 100% to make guests feel relaxed and on vacation mode. We stayed here with our 4-year-old daughter to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it would surely be one of the fond memories we will remember.

We was a walk in for a drink great reception and staff we've never stayed here but we have been welcomed every time of a down poor 😊
