A group of 13 of us booked 3 apartments in Lantana Resort for 14 days. It was mostly a vacation and we were also visiting my cousins and our ancestral home. The apartments were clean and well equipped. Dishwashers were available but we were not allowed to use the washing machines. The location doesn't not have many local shops/amenities so be prepared to either hire a car (approx $50USD a day) or make regular journeys on the buses, which is mostly served by the mini-buses which is a novelty for the first few journeys that soon wears off. Our concierge was Shamone who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She is definitely a credit to the resort, and made our stay more enjoyable. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a clean en-suite bathroom and toilet. The second bedroom is very cramped. And the shared bathroom was not so clean. This setup is suitable for a couple with two young children, but we were two pairs of adults, so we swapped rooms halfway through our stay. The beds in the second bedroom were creaky and they had someone come to fix then during our second week. The kitchen is clean, well equipped, and well laid out. Plenty of utensils to choose from. The patio area has rattan table and chairs to seat everyone. Oddly the interior dining area only has two dining chairs (and you can't easily use the patio chairs to eat inside due to the height difference). In one of the apartments the safe was not actually fixed in place and could be lifted up! Two apartments had milk go off quite quickly and I realised the fridge temperature dials and been turned closed to minimum setting despite us being in the tropics. This could potentially be a health risk. Our visit was tarnished on my wife's birthday, we were all gathered around the pool and at about 7.45PM the security guard asked for the children in our groups to be quieter. This group included 6 year olds, on holiday, enjoying themselves in a pool , in a holiday resort, one day after Crop Over! Apparently a Lantana board member was staying in a penthouse suite and was unhappy with our noise. If the complaint was lodged around 8:30 /9pm I think that would be an entirely reasonable criticism, but at 7:45? This just felt controlling which is the last thing you want on vacation. During the rest of the evening the same board member was looking down at us and checking his watch! The next day soon after sunset I saw one of our party again talking with the security guard. His children were playing in the pool and the daylight was fading, it was about 7PM, and the guard had said he could not switch on the pool lighting until he spoke to the board member who had complained previously. This I found wholly unacceptable. To put paying guests, and their young children at risk like this because you want to control their noise?! The guard did eventually switch on the lights but it left a bitter taste. That aside, I would say if you are planning to hire a car or enjoy the mini-buses then consider Lantana resort. We just felt there was just a lack of close by amenities at this time, But there is so much development along the west coast this is very likely to change in the near future.

Well furnished 2 bedroom apartment with all the amenities, nice pool area and relaxed atmosphere. Is possible to get to nearby towns and beaches via bus but a car may be better for convenience.

The resort is in a great location. Right next to the beach and close to several great attractions. Pool is clean and looks great. Balcony is huge and perfect for hanging out on. Everything works as expected. Storage space is a little tight but with a little rearranging worked fine. You don't come on vacation to stay in the room anyways. The staff communication was great and everything was ready to go when we arrived. I recommend this place. A+++

Beautiful place to stay and had all the amenities needed. You must visit Thunder Bay beach which is about a 7 minute walk from here. The staff are very friendly and helpful at the resort. There is also use of two pools to enjoy

Nice cozy self-contained apartment. The balcony overlooking the pool is appealing.

This was a home away from home. The room catered to all expectations. It was very spacious and comfortable. Seemless check-in and out. Management and staff were very helpful and accommodating. Quiet surroundings though near to local main roads and school. Walking distance to local bar and room booklet offers great suggestions. This was a last minute booking due to a unexpected trip but this area and room was definitely a great choice.

Excellent condo / resort development, built 2013/4, with two pools and various floorplans dependent on your needs. Secure and gated and 150m from the Beach which is over the road. John Moore's Beach Bar is on the beach. Great sunset views. Lovely place to stay on the West Coast. 40+ units and maybe half owners rent. Multiple agents manage the units dependent on owner choice. Most independently ran via Airbnb and the like. Book direct with owners best approach.

Beautiful view of the ocean from balcony. AC included which is a bonus in Barbados! Cozy bedrooms, living area and balcony overlooking pool. Close to Speightstown, Holetown, Bridgetown, shopping, bars and beaches. The security was so friendly and helpful. Very responsive in making travel arrangements.

Self-catering air-conditioned with a washing machine that also dries clothes. Great place to stay. Spacious off road parking.

Good choice for a place to stay. Obviously isn’t as fancy as a big beachfront villa but the price isn’t as much either. Pools are very clean and good for kids. The traffic noise is pretty high in the front building, especially if your unit is closer to the road.

Great location. Walk to a beach. Pool was good for afternoon play. Our unit was beside the very busy road which was quite noisy

Lantana 24 Had a great time with wife and two 4-year old boys. Place was clean and we never had an issue with the security of the place overall. Grounds were kept, and the pool was clean. Not far from Holetown or Speightstown. Easy to get to, but somewhat of a trek from the airport (minor). Only one complaint. The mattresses had seen better days. In the Master Bedroom and one of the guest rooms the mattresses are lumpy and lopsided. My back is still feeling the effects. They need to be replaced ASAP. The property Manager Andrea was great and made sure we were comfortable otherwise. Has a washer/dryer combo which was great for our clothes after the beach, etc... If the mattresses were better, this place would get a 5 from me. I love Barbados and this place was perfect for our needs.

The apartment at Lantana was smart, spacious and clean with a quality furniture. The terrace had a large tables and chairs and a sea view. The pool and gardens are well kept. The complex is only a few minutes walk to the coast and a nice sandy beach. There is a vegetable store and fish market nearby.

Lovely complex, with all the mod cons, and kept nice and clean. Only 5 mins to the beach.
