A
group
of
13
of
us
booked
3
apartments
in
Lantana
Resort
for
14
days.
It
was
mostly
a
vacation
and
we
were
also
visiting
my
cousins
and
our
ancestral
home.
The
apartments
were
clean
and
well
equipped.
Dishwashers
were
available
but
we
were
not
allowed
to
use
the
washing
machines.
The
location
doesn't
not
have
many
local
shops/amenities
so
be
prepared
to
either
hire
a
car
(approx
$50USD
a
day)
or
make
regular
journeys
on
the
buses,
which
is
mostly
served
by
the
mini-buses
which
is
a
novelty
for
the
first
few
journeys
that
soon
wears
off.
Our
concierge
was
Shamone
who
was
extremely
knowledgeable
and
helpful.
She
is
definitely
a
credit
to
the
resort,
and
made
our
stay
more
enjoyable.
We
stayed
in
a
two
bedroom
apartment.
The
master
bedroom
is
very
spacious
and
has
a
clean
en-suite
bathroom
and
toilet.
The
second
bedroom
is
very
cramped.
And
the
shared
bathroom
was
not
so
clean.
This
setup
is
suitable
for
a
couple
with
two
young
children,
but
we
were
two
pairs
of
adults,
so
we
swapped
rooms
halfway
through
our
stay.
The
beds
in
the
second
bedroom
were
creaky
and
they
had
someone
come
to
fix
then
during
our
second
week.
The
kitchen
is
clean,
well
equipped,
and
well
laid
out.
Plenty
of
utensils
to
choose
from.
The
patio
area
has
rattan
table
and
chairs
to
seat
everyone.
Oddly
the
interior
dining
area
only
has
two
dining
chairs
(and
you
can't
easily
use
the
patio
chairs
to
eat
inside
due
to
the
height
difference).
In
one
of
the
apartments
the
safe
was
not
actually
fixed
in
place
and
could
be
lifted
up!
Two
apartments
had
milk
go
off
quite
quickly
and
I
realised
the
fridge
temperature
dials
and
been
turned
closed
to
minimum
setting
despite
us
being
in
the
tropics.
This
could
potentially
be
a
health
risk.
Our
visit
was
tarnished
on
my
wife's
birthday,
we
were
all
gathered
around
the
pool
and
at
about
7.45PM
the
security
guard
asked
for
the
children
in
our
groups
to
be
quieter.
This
group
included
6
year
olds,
on
holiday,
enjoying
themselves
in
a
pool
,
in
a
holiday
resort,
one
day
after
Crop
Over!
Apparently
a
Lantana
board
member
was
staying
in
a
penthouse
suite
and
was
unhappy
with
our
noise.
If
the
complaint
was
lodged
around
8:30
/9pm
I
think
that
would
be
an
entirely
reasonable
criticism,
but
at
7:45?
This
just
felt
controlling
which
is
the
last
thing
you
want
on
vacation.
During
the
rest
of
the
evening
the
same
board
member
was
looking
down
at
us
and
checking
his
watch!
The
next
day
soon
after
sunset
I
saw
one
of
our
party
again
talking
with
the
security
guard.
His
children
were
playing
in
the
pool
and
the
daylight
was
fading,
it
was
about
7PM,
and
the
guard
had
said
he
could
not
switch
on
the
pool
lighting
until
he
spoke
to
the
board
member
who
had
complained
previously.
This
I
found
wholly
unacceptable.
To
put
paying
guests,
and
their
young
children
at
risk
like
this
because
you
want
to
control
their
noise?!
The
guard
did
eventually
switch
on
the
lights
but
it
left
a
bitter
taste.
That
aside,
I
would
say
if
you
are
planning
to
hire
a
car
or
enjoy
the
mini-buses
then
consider
Lantana
resort.
We
just
felt
there
was
just
a
lack
of
close
by
amenities
at
this
time,
But
there
is
so
much
development
along
the
west
coast
this
is
very
likely
to
change
in
the
near
future.
