Santosha, now this is an escape! If you want to feel completely relaxed and one with nature then you should consider this location, with the east coast breezes and lots of country life around you are truly at a getaway spot. I’ve stayed here for a birthday celebration and it was extremely romantic and private. I loved it!

Santosha Barbados is exactly what you see on their website 5/5 and highly recommended. It is remote, quaint, isolated, and beautiful. The rooms are nice with plenty of windows and nice beds. My room had a full kitchen and all have balconies that face the pool and ocean and mountains. The grounds are well kept and everything was in working order. The pool and pool house are awesome and the salt water pool was extremely relaxing. Guests are fairly quiet and keep to themselves as this is clearly a get away from the louder Bridgetown/West coast area. Joanne and Mechelle were fantastic who helped me book the room and handled my car rental and different tours. You can also pay for laundry service and they will get groceries for you as well as a Spa day right in your room. Mechelle is awesome and extremely helpful - booked me a last minute Catamaran cruise. You should definitely rent a car to get here and get ready for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend over the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown and the West coast. -Stephen (USA)

This place is unbelievably beautiful. The views are breathtaking. The staff are very courteous and friendly; from room services, to maintenance, to groundstaff, to security, all provide excellent service. On site management 'Xavier' is exceptional. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We were here on retreat. Great for groups, couples, family and business.

Great place, we had the luxury of being there during the “rainy” season. We did experience a 10min light shower during our weeklong stay. Beyond that, it was all sunshine, relaxation and beauty. The pool is well maintained and enjoyable Walkers beach and the mill nearby provide with ample opportunities to walk during the day, with an uninterrupted trek all the way down to Bathsheba available for the more adventurous ones. The service was top notch and both managers were very attentive and caring The room was spacious and clean, and well equipped for cooking. The ac was welcome and kept us nice and cozy Great stay!

One needs to be adventurous to stay here. The drive from the airport in the dark, on windy, twisty, hilly and narrow rough roads with jaw shaking potholes using right hand drive was “exciting”. A car rental is a necessity. The hotel itself was very quiet after the family with kids moved out the next day. Often no more than two or three other guests. Hotel was clean but a little run down. Maid service is not daily but we were able to get clean sheets and towels by asking. The address is spot on. It was breezy the week we stayed but it did cool us off so breakfast and dinners on The balcony were pleasant. Found the beach with the help of a local. A short walk for the hotel. It was not suitable for swimming or sun bathing but good for long walks. Be prepared to make your own meals or to drive up to 20 to 30 minutes to dine out. We came prepared and so weren’t disappointed.

We split our Barbados trip, 4 days on the east coast and 4 days on the South. This is the perfect base for the east coast, beautiful unspoilt scenery. The hotel has amazing surroundings and there is very little around. We were room 104 which was dissapointly on the ground floor so we didn't get the balcony views. The room/apartment was very spacious, but dated and ready for a refurb (as was the reception area). I'd say this was the only downside. The pool area is to die for, so peaceful and heavenly. Just to note if you plan to book there is very little around and you will need a car. We hired one from the airport and it was the perfect base for visiting all the attractions.

I was there for a retreat with a small group of ladies. We all enjoyed the space. I checked out the other rooms and views and was a little sad to see how different (simple) the ground floor rooms are in comparison to the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms. They wood work and art work was amazing. My room sadly had no art work or lamp, just pot lights. It's all esthetics but nonetheless it makes the space cozy. There is nothing walking distance...make sure you have a cab service or a rental. The beach is walking distance but it's not the type to enjoy and swim...too much sea weed and rough choppy waters...but still a beautiful view. I still enjoyed the water...came too far not to enjoy it. Lol

Great experience!! You’ll be shaky the first/ second day if you’re not familiar with self catering because the room comes with the absolute basics (but do your shopping after you’ve checked in to cover off your list and you’ll be fine). The view when you wake up on mornings is just spectacular, the property is so well kept and quiet you almost feel like you’re on a planet just for you with no distractions. The staff are also very attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back within the coming months.

The room is not too bad. No housekeeping service even I asked for. Too much mosquito. Should have bugs spray in the room as another hotels and should advice the guest when they arrive

Incredible panoramic views of the East Coast of Barbados. Love the rustic ranch like feel and appearance of the property. Great place to escape the noise, hustle of the main tourist arears of Barbados. Great for persons who like to be close to nature amd enjoy outdoor activities like hiking

Great retreat on the ‘Wild Side’ far from the sea/sand side of Barbados. Great for the eco-tourist minded. Beautifully appointed room with lovely art and views off the balconies. Wonderful staff! Not a full service hotel and doesn’t say it is either. I will be back.

Great property along the east coast of Barbados, just up the road from Soup Bowls. If you're looking for a quiet place full of character and with self-contained options such as a kitchen, this would be high up my list. A car is a must if you stay here, but driving around the island is easy and this property is well worth the extra few minutes of travel time to get away from the noise and chaos of the city! The rooms are spacious with a large balcony and a large kitchen which make on-site meals easy to prep and easy to enjoy. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and will make you feel at home from the minute you arrive.
