Super underwhelming. Some fruit/veggie vendors, with comparable prices to supermarkets, and a lot of kitsch/T-shirt stands. There were a few stalls with some interesting pieces, but a pretty big let down overall.

Everything sold at this market is 'Home Made, Home Grown or Home Created' in Barbados! There is a wide selection of local and organic fruits, vegetables, eggs and freshly baked breads and treats including a few gluten free options. You'll also find a lovely selection of prepared meals including Trinidadian and Bajan dishes, Tiki Pies, sushi and some freshly squeezed juices and elixirs. Our hand-crafted items range from home-made soaps to leather dress shoes and sandals. While you’re shopping, enjoy a latte or an iced coffee from the Coffee Dock, located at the back of the ArtSplash Centre. Relax and grab a seat on the front veranda for a hot, freshly made gluten free breakfast from Richard’s Gluten Free Deli including waffles, eggs and bacon. If you’re feeling something lighter, the ArtSplash Centre Cafe offers fresh smoothies and juices made to order. And as always, Arty’s Play Park is the best place for the kids to play while you shop around.

I love this place! We always find unique stalls with handmade items. The stall owners are so interesting to talk to, and helpful as well.

Small market that brings people together on the Saturday morning. I would have expected more to be honest in terms of products.

Nice on Saturday try Esther's sweet bread, fish cakes, pone and banana bread. I had a sample and I've been going every Saturday

Terrible. One fruit stall. One stall selling roti maybe or some other food but way overpriced. And then 8 other stalls with non-locals selling overpriced junk. I really thought this was supposed to be a farmer's market with fruits and vegetables and food. It's tiny and not a "farmers" market at all.

Market is rather a grand name for this as there are only about 7 stalls but it's worth a quick visit if you're in the area.

Mostly souvenir type stands; if you're coming for farmed goods, you'll be disappointed.

Probably only about 10 stalls selling a mixture of produce and arts and crafts, but worth a look and the Artsplash cafe is really good.

Although quite small, the people were very friendly and the produce was fresh. There were also several stands with clothes and trinkets.

Market at The Artsplash Centre has a great selection of stalls. Farmers selling veg, a Baker who, amongst other goodies, sells the best coconut bread and coconut turnovers (buns!) in my opinion, an artist selling canvases, cards and fridge magnets of Bajan scenery, another artist (emigrated from U.K.) who makes beautiful pieces of hanging art on wood, home made hummus, jewellery, hats, clothes, belts and souvenirs! What's not to love about this market. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Closes at 2pm but some stall holders start packing up at around 12.30 so get there early!

Open Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Lovely market with most goods from locals, including homemade seasonings, jams and baked goods (omg, delicious!); artwork in various forms (canvases, clay, clothing) and soaps. I haven't tried them yet but the young woman who makes them did so out of necessity, and was able to offer good advice about dealing with problem skin. This is a small market but a great place to acquire local goods beyond keychains and postcards. Also, the Market is conveniently located across the street from the beach (you can park on the street) and in an area where lots of people walk around, with shops and restaurants.

Was disappointed to drive all the way there and discover it wasn't on last weekend despite the signage outside the venue as well as the google page on line both indicating it was happening. It's difficult to get out the house in this heat with a toddler and so felt let down by an event I'd been looking forward to.

It's a small market. Most of the stalls were for crafts. Not a lot of produce. So if you are looking for veggies or fruits, there is only a small amount of that available.

If you and your friends are into flee markets or thrift stores, then this is the right spot on Barbados. This is a thing where the Bajans have a good time and foreign visitors alike blend together. On this former plantation ground a foundation holds a market each Sunday. Its fun, and you can try local snacks and drinks. And see some local arts and craft.

I suspect this is the result of an overall slump in local and global economy. One year ago in Nov and December of 2018, this Farmer's Market was a bustling market with fruit and veg, local crafts and stalls that had fresh whole poultry to order, natural skin care products and the like, locally made snacks and delicacies. Unfortunately, this year less than a month ago, much of this was sadly missing and I arrived at 1230pm an entire hour and a half before the official closing time, shocked to find a handful of vendors as well as browsers. To say I was disappointed is an understatement but a friend an I sat at the cafe and enjoyed the lovely veranda of the cafe that sits in the middle of the market. I truly hope the Hastings Farmer's Market can return to the lively spot it was in the recent past. I can only hope things were this quiet because perhaps it was a Sunday???

Very poor, maybe 10 stalls. I was expecting a proper market. They have really nice stuff but the prices are so high. Most of the things are hand made but I am used to go to the market to get cheaper than the shops or supermarket. They sell food too like hummus, fruit...T-shirt, dresses, a bit of jewelry
