I couldn't recommend G Fish more! I completed my open water certification here and both Karina and G are incredible, patient and fun instructors. I had some anxiety before the first dive and they both handled it brilliantly - because of their personal attention I was able to finish the dive. If I had of gone to another dive shop I probably wouldn't have gone back down and may not have finished the course. I had such an amazing time that as soon as I finished the certification dives I booked another dive with them! I saw multiple shipwrecks, some amazing reefs, turtles, stingrays, seahorses, moray eels and two giant barracuda! Diving with G Fish was the highlight of my vacation and I cant wait to go back next time I visit Barbados!

Really good. Hidden gem on the southeast coast of the island you can meander through the small gallery and eat some cheesecake with your coffee. You can walk to the cliff and see the waves.

I was coming to Barbados specifically to get my 10 year old daughter PADI scuba certified. We know some locals and they all recommended G Fish. My experiences to get setup were great! G was responsive, understood what I was looking for and gave us a great instructor to get my daughter trained. On arrival, Karina, our instructor, was patient, well prepared and kind with my daughter. Karina made my daughter feel comfortable, getting past her minor fears of boats and (yes...) fish! Both days went smoothly and now we only need to finish the final exam online. Nick, the boat captain, was great taking me on dives while my daughter was training, connecting us to the Bluetooth speakers on the boat for music and regaling us with stories of the boats in the harbor and other fun facts of the area. We were focused on my daughter's training, so we didn't do any deep or night dives, but we did get to swim around the relatively shallow wrecks in the area and see everything from turtles, to eagle rays, to puffers and tarpon.

Had 2 lovely dives with G in December! Was able to accommodate a last minute booking for me and my friend was able to tag along to snorkel. Extremely knowledgeable about all of the dive sites in the area and gave us great background on the wrecks in Carlisle Bay. Plan to dive with him again the next time I find myself in Barbados!

Diving with G is the best! The small operation gives you such a better personal experience where you aren’t having to look for 12 other divers, giving you time to really explore. I initially bought 5 dives and paid for more while I was there because I loved it so much! G is super personable but professional and has so much great experience. He took me for my first discovery dive back in 2018 so after getting certified I had to come back and get the full experience! Thanks G!

I was broke down on my sailboat right in front of Fish. I met G, Ninja and Karina. They helped me get food, water, fuel and treated me just like family. We built a fire on the beach and cooked breadfruit. Great knowledgeable and friendly. And the little bar in his parking lot that guy Mark one of Gs friends. Made sure we left with plenty of fresh food and fresh meat. I can't wait to get back down there again. Thank you Fish. Love Justin

Mr G was great! We had an amazing day, we were a group of 4. Me my father and my 2 sons. I highly recommend Mr G for all your scuba or snorkeling needs. From ship wrecks to sea turtles we saw it all. It was a real treat !

Our family has been out with Captain G multiple times over the last years and he is always great. He knows the best spots for snorkeling and scuba in Barbabos, and is particularly great with the kids. His rates are great, he is always in a great mood and we’ve never failed to have an amazing time with him. Definitely use G when you come to BB!

Highly recommend. G is a fantastic Captain and Dive Master. He made all of feel comfortable and respected everyone’s level of diving. After all the airline mishaps and delayed luggage for 2 days, I had a panic attack to go diving 2 days after arrival. I called G and he was so kind and understanding when I told him I could not dive. He understood and told me that when I was ready to dive he will be there to help me. He was so patient and I really appreciated that since my last dive was 4 years ago. Coming back to Barbados and will definitely book my dive with him again.

I have been lucky enough to spend 6 weeks completing my divemaster internship working alongside G and Karina. They made me feel welcome from the very start, showing me around the island and teaching me how to fine tune my diving skills. By the end of the internship and 75 dives later, I felt like I had truly achieved what I had set out to and made two lifelong friends at the same time. Anyone who has the ambition to complete a divemaster internship should consider GFish Watersports as the focus on teaching is on you, whilst being given ample responsibility. I have only good things to say about this diveshop!

Great dive shop! And Nick was an excellent guide! I’m an avid diver, been diving all over the world, and this is a fun, relaxed, well run shop. G took safety seriously (had me quickly checked out by a dive doc as I’d had a couple of concussions) but also a fun, relaxed atmosphere for everything else. Nick was attentive, knowledgeable (pointed out a bunch of interesting things on our dive) and calm. And they took me to one of the best wreck dives I’ve experienced. I’d easily dive with them again and recommend this shop to others.

My dad brought me down to get my PADI scuba certification. Karina was amazing! I had a ton of fun and can't wait to scuba again soon! I also loved Barbados with its warm water, beautiful fish and beautiful days!

My husband and I saved our GFISH snorkeling for last, and now we’re leaving Barbados with the BEST memories! From the moment we met G we knew we’d booked the finest trip. He runs a small boat with just a few people right out to the turtles in Carlisle Bay. The equipment was first rate, a very pleasant surprise. Swimming with turtles, sting rays and schools of fish is one of life’s most enchanting experiences. G takes you to a marine park teeming with fish and full of healthy corals. The aquamarine water, the brilliant fish and the magnificent turtles dazzled us. Thanks, G!

The comunication factor, just the exact right words to comprehend, amazing. Through the course we went all sorts of diferent beatifull diving spots around! would love to come back to dive with G Fish

Great experience with G and Karina for my first time diving (discovery course)! I was nervous and feeling the beginnings of an anxiety attack but they literally held my hand and supported me through it. G encouraged me the entire way and kept the lesson at my pace. He really went above and beyond so I could pick up a new skill and witness magical marine life!

Recently dove with "G". He's a well know, respected guy in the area. Very enthusiastic and interested in you having a great experience. I was in town for business. By chance, I ran into him one morning on the beach, while watching the race horses bathing. He was setting up for a morning dive trip. He provided all the info I needed, to do my own research. Via email, we set it up, and before I knew it, I was diving with him. He is very accommodating, informative and a very skillful bubble blower, though a bit of a chicken since he wore a full suit and head cover (water temp was 84 deg F!) The rest of the men just wore swim shorts. If I make it back, I will definitely dive with "G" again. Thank you for a great business trip "G"!

G goes on the water earlier than the crowds, and OMG It is worth It. He has a small boat which makes the experience more personal. He knows the water and wildlife, and he is fun to be around. We had a blast. I also appreciated that he does not force feed the turtles to attract them to the boat. It is more ethical without diminishing the experience. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic day Diving with G and Nick. G took me to the SS Stavronikita where we saw beautiful fish, soft corals and a turtle. G was so friendly and welcoming and made the dive a great fun experience. Mark the dive leader was patient and I felt in safe hands. I thoroughly recommend G Fish if you want the best Scuba diving experience when you are visiting Barbados 🇧🇧. I hope to be lucky enough to visit again, and if I do I know where to come for a great dive 🐟🐠🐡

To complete my PADI scuba diving certification I went to G Fish as I saw in multiple guides they recommend as one of the best places for diving. I can't imagine better experience that I've got there. G and Karina are amazing professionals, have individual approach for every person, create friendly, safe and fun atmosphere! I learnt and trained all skills needed to complete successfully my certification and enjoyed every single dive with them! I also decided to try free diving one day course with Alex Davies. It was incredible to learn just in one day how to free dive and manage to go 15m deep using one breath only. Alex explained every detail, was supportive, patient and positive. Unique and unforgettable experience!

Absolutely brilliant. Mr G got my hooked with scuba I only wanted to give it a go but definitely going for a certification now. Great if you just want to snorkel above the shipwrecks and swim for the turtles as well. Can’t recommend enough

This was an outstanding experience. My family and I had never been scuba diving before but G taught us all of the essentials and guided us on an initial dive around a shipwreck with amazing coral and tons of fish. My daughter and I were so excited about this first trip that we booked a second dive. Karina took us down on that dive and Karina guided us to 5 different shipwrecks. Both G and Karina were wonderful and made us feel totally comfortable so we could easily enjoy the beauty of this undersea world. Thanks!

After having snorkeled with the seaturtles at the Boatyard, we were itching to get back out in the water on our last day at Carlisle Bay. We happened to come across G on a morning walk as he was preparing to head out, and boy are we glad we did! It was such a great ride start to finish (so much better than the packed tours of the "Cattlemarans"!). He gave us the best experience; near-private access to the seaturtle hotspots and shipwrecks, lots of jokes and laughter, and plenty of time to snorkel in to our hearts' content. If we're ever back we'll be evading the tourist traps and making a beeline straight to G's! Thanks for the memories! - Sexy chocolate & Oreo cream

Completed my 4 Open Water dives for PADI certification with G at G Fish Watersports and all I can say is good things. G is an excellent Dive Master and Instructor who made me feel comfortable, encouraged me, and used humour and kindness to accurately instruct and make sure I learned all my skills. He picked exceptional dive sites where I saw all manner of marine life, not to mention the wrecks in the bay. I highly recommend diving with G. He will ensure you make it back to the surface safe and sound. A special message to you G: Thank you for making my PADI certification dives such a pleasure. Everyone back home keeps wanting to go back. Keep up the great work!

G Fish is the best! I finished my PADI open water certification with them and it was so good I ended up doing extra dives after! I had the pleasure of diving with both Karina and G, and they both are great teachers. Carlisle bay is the absolute perfect place to learn SCUBA, and the small class size at GFish was ideal (it was only 2 of us). Next time in Barbados, I'm definitely diving with them again.

I've been meaning to get into scuba for a while and I can't express how amazing was my experience getting PADI certified with G Fish Watersports. It can't get more personalized then what you have when going with G. All training was within my limits and speed and G was supportive all the way. I got all the attention I needed to have the most relaxed and out of this world diving sessions. Not to mention being flexible to adapt to my crazy schedule. I recommend 1000%! And hopefully I'll come back to Barbados in the future and dive again with G and his team.

My husband just posted, and I couldn’t agree more with what he said. Diving with G was the best experience I’ve ever had under water. I was nervous and hesitant to even sign up for the day, but G made me feel comfortable and excited. He was right, he said come terrified and you’ll leave absolutely in love. Now I’m just bummed we didn’t do a 3 tank dive, or better yet, a whole extra day. If you are unsure, just do it. You won’t regret it. G is the only guide you should be diving with on the island. You won’t get the same attention and love from a big dive shop. G is where it’s at! Thanks again, G! We had the best day! And we will be back :)

Great little spot. It was on my to-do list for a while, but I kept missing the unusual hours. Finally swung by for coffee and dessert, and got a whole lot more! I loved the tour of the aviary and aquarium, and the beautiful art studio. Absolutely more to this space than you can see from the outside. The cheesecakes were also very delicious!

Hospitality is extraordinary - the cuisine is wonderful - all in all a wonderful experience in a quiet place by the sea. Collections of orchids, exotic birds and colourful coy make Deebles so interesting. The art gallery and theme paintings of the east coast of Barbados are exceptional. We must return sooner rather than later.

A fabulous little hidden gem, off the beaten path. Our whole family had a such a fantastic time being hosted by Frank and Karlene. Karlene's baking skills are a delight to behold. The cheesecake was creamy and light. Served with a tropical guava sauce, it definitely had me wanting more, and more and more! Our daughter was in love with the chocolate cake and did get a second piece when we went back for another visit. The art gallery is small, but well curated. We ended up buying two wonderful paintings by a Jamaican artist named Trudy Johnson. Frank also has some very beautiful scenic and abstract paintings. It's a must visit when in Barbados!

This is my go to spot for catching up with friends😊. I love the ambience and setting in the Cafe and Frank and Karlene are excellent hosts, my favourite experience brewing my own coffee in the French press! !! What I like about the gallery is the varied media of the art, you can find paintings in oil water colors , and charcoal ,also calabash etchings and exquisite jewellery in beads and semiprecious stones . This is a must see on the East Coast

G is your man if you wish to try scuba diving in Barbados! I had the best dive of my life so far and he was there to make sure this happens! Booking for more after our first 2 dives with them. Small boat means small groups which is perfect for the best experience. 100% recommended.

Karina and G just made my trip to Barbados with 2 fantastic divers. Ship wreck at 18 meters and then another at 23 meters. They are both relaxed but you can tell they are professional and super safe to dive with. I already had certification but told them I hadn’t dived often and they gave the perfect level of support and Karina took me into the wreck on the second dive. Thank you both, and see you again next time I am in Barbados.

I did PADI scuba diving certification course with G. G is a great guy and one of the most experienced scuba diving instructors out there. He knows how to make you comfortable in the water and has all the patience it takes to help you navigate the wonders of the underwater world. You could unlock all the essential skills for scuba diving while having fun with him in the ocean. The ocean dives were absolutely great. However what makes it better is you could become a more courageous, fearless, open-minded person after your dive with G.

G was an excellent dive master! Super personable, great sense of humor, but always paying attention to his divers and equipment. Smaller group, smaller boat, but that only means you get to know everyone that much better. Would definitely dive with him again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with G. Neither of us had dived for several years so were a little apprehensive when we arrived. We needn't have worried, however, as G was very reassuring and soon put us at our ease. We only had a short time on Barbados but were so pleased to have fitted in four incredible dives – we intend to return as soon as we can. Thank you G for giving us our diving mojo back!
