Batts Rock beach is a quiet, secluded beach great for skinny dipping in the (very) early mornings and it used to be good for gay cruising in the late evenings in the 90s (What? It's true!). Didn't give it five stars because the Four Seasons hotel, abandoned during construction, is unsightly and I imagine someone could lay in wait there, but this has never happened. The water is calm, and, at low tide, a reef is exposed. There you can see 'sergeant majors' (yellow fish with black stripes) and if you look under the rocks sometimes you'll see brittle starfish (please don't grab them by the legs or take them out of the water - as the name suggests...they're brittle). Once, snorkeling around the reef, a turtle scared the vodka out of me! If you're patient you'll see turtles come up for a split second to take a breath. I forget his name (Philip King) but don't hesitate to go up to the guy who stacks the washed up coral. Super friendly guy.

Local beach close to the Cave Hill turn and below the Walmer Lodge Apartments (great place to stay!). Batts Rock has excellent snorkeling and swimming and the Le Cabane restaurant is overlooking the sea. Wonderful.

Great small beach but hard to walk in the water because of the rocks. Be sure to go in where they have cleared an area.

It's kind of hidden but the sunsets here are gorgeous 🤩. There facilities here food, bathrooms and stalls where you can rinse yourself off and change your wet clothes.

Found this by chance, great sand and although wavy lovely for a dip. Great bar beside (albeit pricey). Sadly it is located beside the trees with poisonous fruit so you can't sit near the beach bar on the beach....would reccomend :-)

Quiet beach, surrounded by some forest and a few little green monkeys. Quite limited for venues, restaurants and bars with recent closures of places.

It's so lovely and not too crowded. Parking and kayak rentals as well. Also there is a restaurant. Smoking is apparently permitted.

Great beach and area to swim. Must be careful around the Manchineel trees. Don't touch, and stay away from when it's raining. These trees are very poisonous.

Careful! Lots of those blistering trees here, with some that have faded red bands. Otherwise very beautiful beach with some facilities to boot.

Little known gem. Oasis with lots of trees and hills leading to the secluded calm clean beach with the softest sand

I would give it a five, but it is very rocky. Restaurants on site.

One of the best beaches along the west coast of Barbados. Easily accessible, with gentle waves, clean sand, and shady spots.

Refreshing, beautiful coastal beach. Good bath facilities, picnic tables and parking. There is also room for some road tennis.
