Batts
Rock
beach
is
a
quiet,
secluded
beach
great
for
skinny
dipping
in
the
(very)
early
mornings
and
it
used
to
be
good
for
gay
cruising
in
the
late
evenings
in
the
90s
(What?
It's
true!).
Didn't
give
it
five
stars
because
the
Four
Seasons
hotel,
abandoned
during
construction,
is
unsightly
and
I
imagine
someone
could
lay
in
wait
there,
but
this
has
never
happened.
The
water
is
calm,
and,
at
low
tide,
a
reef
is
exposed.
There
you
can
see
'sergeant
majors'
(yellow
fish
with
black
stripes)
and
if
you
look
under
the
rocks
sometimes
you'll
see
brittle
starfish
(please
don't
grab
them
by
the
legs
or
take
them
out
of
the
water
-
as
the
name
suggests...they're
brittle).
Once,
snorkeling
around
the
reef,
a
turtle
scared
the
vodka
out
of
me!
If
you're
patient
you'll
see
turtles
come
up
for
a
split
second
to
take
a
breath.
I
forget
his
name
(Philip
King)
but
don't
hesitate
to
go
up
to
the
guy
who
stacks
the
washed
up
coral.
Super
friendly
guy.
