Not perfect. Expensive as all get out - but it's one of the few places on the island where you can rely on having both a high quality level of products, and a fairly good variety as well. Most other places it will be expensive as well, but it will be poor quality or only 1 or 2 options. So you can at least have a choice. On the bright side - it has one of the largest selections of "pure touristy" souvenirs in one place. It's all made in China, but it's fun, and there is some locally made stuff (like sauces and jams and soaps) as well. PS - If you aren't local, it's best to get a taxi once you're done shopping because there is ZERO parking nearby.

I used to be a frequent customer until it was clear that certain staff members care more about making a sale than being honest with customers. I asked about certain products that were not available and I mentioned out loud that I would see if they were available at the airport. The staff lied and said they were not, and so I settled for different items. Imagine my annoyance when I indeed found the items I originally wanted sold at the airport. I won't frequent this place again.

Bridge town Duty free market is a good place to visit if you are in Barbados. You can find all Big banke, ATMs, Malls, Restaurants, Boats, Scuba Diving, Sea Surfing companies at this part of the town. Little expensive though.

Its a good place to take advantage of the great price alcohol to take back when travelling. Some souvenirs are ok priced as for everything else i would have to say its quite expensive. As for the food court, i don't recall seeing any vegan options from my last visit. This recent visit i didn't bother looking.

It's nothing like it use to be. The energy and entire feel is dead. Some of the stores are gone, it's lacking excitement and enthusiasm. One use to look forward to going to "Cave Shepherd" now it's like a ghost town. Christmas was dead, no Christmas feeling, even the staff seemed to be struggling to adapt to all the changes.

Very nice clean Duty Free store with great air conditioning. So many different varieties of goods to choose from. Lines can be slow and long, try to avoid if possible, there are many check out lines throughout the store.

Very expensive mall. I suppose "duty free" means that the products are no taxed, not that this absence of tax is reflected in the retail sales prices. Or else I wouldn't know how to explain flipflops for $70 USD or perfume for more than the French retail price. That said, contrary to most other shop in Barbados, this one is spacious and clean.

A wide selection of items, clothing, perfumes, and souvenirs. The prices still seem quite high and not like duty-free prices. Also, remember to bring a passport or driver's license to prove that you are from abroad to get the duty off

Has a large variety of items for a great shopping experience. It is only missing now a pharmacy or personnel toiletries area.

Best time to shop here is within the first one-two months of arriving in Barbados as there are discounts given on items. I didn't know this myself when I moved here and I went about 3months after I arrived. I couldn't get those mouth-watering discounts I heard about. So, putting this out for anyone who needs it. Believe me, without those discounts, it's impossible to shop as the items are incredibly expensive!!

This duty free has everything. Two floors and we always do our duty free here. Plenty of places to eat here and plenty on offer to get all you need under one roof. Highly recommend a visit when in Barbados 🇧🇧

Well laid out mall, items are well displayed. Staff attendants are often impossible to find. They are usually pleasant when you eventually find one but good luck with that. The prices are quite steep, almost everything can be found in alternative stores for significantly smaller sums, often for half the price.

Went shopping in the Designer Men Department the Levi section and Mr. Husbands took charge with his excellent customer service and attended to our needs. He is so professional, doesn't matter who you are. Thank you Mr. Husbands and keep up the good work. Visit designer men when you go to Duty Free Barbados.

The experience was one of ahhh One sales associate was warm but could have been more forth coming with information. Had to ask too many questions to get the end result. But another was what was expected... Warm n helpful. I would revisit the store...

A good selection of shops but the shops shut early, my advice is purchase your souvenirs during the holiday don't wait until you reach duty-free cause if you have a night flight you'll be disappointed.

  • 5/5 A A. 1 year ago on Google
Great selection, lots of payment options. Great guidance on how to save. Ensure to have your passport or driver's license to alert things easier

I have only been on the ground floor - there are two other floors which I will visit before I sadly leave. It is spacious and has plenty of items to take away for souvenirs. I bought some rum punch a few days ago and on my second visit there were only four left - let's hope the stocks get replenished soon. It appears to be very popular. The duty free price is always slightly less than the local price - however with alcohol, when buying duty free, you will have to pick up your purchase at the airport. Don't forget to take some form of Identification with you - preferably a passport to purchase duty free. I had a picture of my passport photo page on my phone and that was accepted. Have a lovely time!

Convenient Location as it is right downtown. Premium spot for Perfumes and Colonge. There is a food court that serves barbados finest and it's also wheelchair accessible.

Great shopping here at Bridgetown Duty-free, you have a wide range of all the Brand mames in clothing, shoes among other things, there is also restaurants where you go can go and have something to eat.

I took my friends in here 2 weeks ago to do some duty free shopping. They did not have the perfume that she wanted. But they did purchase a few other things and the service was a little "bogus" at least the cashier was.

  • 1/5 Dan C. 4 months ago on Google
The alcohol prices are artificially high. When you remove the duty it comes into line with the local supermarket. The same with the local rum cake. Best that you do your own research before you simply believe the duty free signs

  • 4/5 Claire G. 1 year ago on Google
It was a good place to go shopping but for alcohol and tobacco they send it to the airport for you to collect otherwise you have to pay full price. We weren't sure we wanted to do that so just paid full price. Did find some of the branded stuff still expensive but a good place to have a wonder round even if it is to escape the heat for 30 mins of air conditioned retail therapy.

A thoughtful curation of locally made items perfect for souvenir but also pricey import times. I found handmade soaps and food items.

  • 5/5 Richard A. 4 months ago on Google
Great free wifi. 2 restaurants in a food mall setting on the top floor that is very popular with the local crowd. Large selection of high end clothing and perfumes. Friendly staff.

  • 5/5 Chirag M. 5 months ago on Google
It's a good place to shop for local stuff and even some branded items (as it's duty free)

  • 5/5 Rea S. 10 months ago on Google
No tax shopping for luxury items; perfume, jewelry, watches, or souvenirs. You need a foreign passport for the discount to be applied. I do believe in the case of purchasing liquor, that the department store Cave Shepard offers a service where the items purchased can be delivered to the airport & or cruise ship for your convenience.

  • 4/5 Matt V. 9 months ago on Google
Good selection of products, but arguable 'discount' on many items. Be aware that near identical souvenirs cost substantially different prices, so price check every item you pick up, even if you think it is the same

  • 4/5 Rhiannon W. 11 months ago on Google
Nice enough place. Good verity of items. Loved the Barbados gifts place. I did buy soke slippers that didn't last the 2 week holiday though... was disappointing as they were Isotoners and not cheap. Didn't want to do a trip back to complain or get my money back as we didn't like Bridgetown on the whole. People kept telling me that Bridgetown was a great place... I'm not sure what I'm not seeing... it was dirty... over crowded... only 2 streets to walk around... and one was just market stalls... I was extremely underwhelmed. Wouldn't go back... and didn't.

Need to stopped these get rich non nationals from charging $20 to buy duty free in the sports and shoe section. Why are these people allowed to there day after day? Have anyone stopped to worked out how money the can make at the end of the week.

Cave Shepherd the store most visitors ask about when in Bridgetown and i myself have to make sure i pay them a visit even if only to look at all the nice well known brands that they have, i have never regretted spending money in Cave Shepherd they know how to make you spend money and they know exactly what smells good, looks good, taste good and wear well.
