You’ll feel like you are truly connecting with nature here. I had a fantastic experience and recommend the guided tour experience as you will learn more and possibly take some additional paths. However if you don’t want to talk with anyone and move at your own pace then you won’t need the guided tour. For me I went to be informed just as much as I wanted to relax. The views are amazing and I even tried edible flowers. Tips, definitely wear sneakers and they can provide walking sticks.

Fantastic way to connect with nature. Wondered at times if i was really in Barbados given the vast flora and fauna. Stunning! Magnificent experience.

Coco Hill Forest was a great experience for me. As a local, going on the guided tour was so immerssive and surreal that I felt like I had left Barbados. The views, plants and flowers were all breathtaking. My highlight was definitely traversing the bamboo area. The owner also took the time to give us a brief history/overview of the forest . A heads up based on my last visit - it is cash only for entry.

Cocohill Forest must be the greenest place that we have discovered in the island of Barbados. We visited during the midday and it was nice to walk around in the shades of the trees and palms during the very hot part of the day. There was a view point with the Ocean View and a nice breeze there to keep us cool. This forest is a conservation area and is being affected by the land slides, so people are planting special grass plants which have long roots and prevent the land from sliding. As part of our visit, we helped to plant a few plants as well. It involved digging holes with a shovel and planting the grass which we very much enjoyed. The forest is hilly and has steps, so wear comfy shoes, not the beach slippers, and bring your camera with you.

A true gem hidden in form of a forest. Loved the trails. It was indeed a #greentherapy through a #forestbathing experience. We had a wonderful reception by Prince and Ginger(two handsome cats) and their hooman family. All the trails were exceptional in them. Entry is by cash only.

A side of Barbados that most people miss, really prehistoric feeling and well worth the trip. Make sure you have good shoes or trainers, as it can get very slippy in parts

What an enchanting place. We did a walking tour of the coco hill forest. Our tour guide and owner of the forest Mahmoud was filled with amazing details of the plants and the history of Barbados. The tour was around 2 hours taking us up to one of the highest points in Barbados.Great way to spend an afternoon. Will definitely be going again and with friends to show them another side of Barbados other than sea and sand.

An absolute hidden gem of a hike in Barbados. The vast forest is dog friendly which is a huge plus, and the walking trails are well maintained. There is a cafe and a car park. We spent 1.5 hours hiking with our 2 dogs and enjoyed every moment. We suggest wearing comfortable hiking gears and shoes. There are quite a few scenic spots for selfies, with tables and chairs along the walking route for a break or a picnic. Coco Hill Forest is also looking for volunteers and we will definitely return. We fully recommend visiting this amazing place for a hike in the lush tropical forest of Barbados.

One of my favourite spots on the island. It's a peaceful place and a beautiful spot for a nice hike. There are so many different types of plants in the forest and some areas also offer breathtaking scenery. Loved getting a tour of the space and the unique things you can find here. There is a coconut nursery, produce used at the Cafe and a nice seating/dining area.

Great place to go for a hike off the beaten path. Has a great mix of terrain and views. Definitely worth a trip out to get some steps in, coupled with some great views.

Very nice location for a walk in a tropical Forest. The Owner give the visitors some fresh spices for tasting. Price is ok and there is a discount for small kids. The Organization plans to recultivate the Island with tropical plants and decrease the sugar plantations. Very good idea.

A unique endeavour and location which offers both an incredible window into the landscape of Barbados prior to plantation devastation, and a model for how parts of the island might be rewilded and reforested. Be sure to talk to Mahmood and his team. The work being done here is inspiring. Beyond all this, the forest provides a wonderful hike (sturdy footwork required) with spectacular views, blissful wilderness, and a great picnic spot.

We love it here. It's a great place for hiking. They got a new trail which extends the hike to about an hour. It's also very interesting for kids, because they can explore lots of things, from Mango trees, ginger, many different fruits and vegetables, etc.

We spent the morning walking the trails of through the forest. It is steep in places can be muddy in places, so take a decent pair of walking shoes. Mood the owner will provide you with a walking stick. Well worth a visit to see the more natural side of Barbados!

This is what the original Barbadian forests looked like. Coco Hill Forest offers several trails with stunning views of Scotland district and of the Atlantic. The paths are well kept and you will certainly get your work out for the day as some of them are quite steep. A must see!

Salaams from Chicago! Wow! What a phenomenal experience. I'm so happy we made this stop in lovely Barbados. Coco Hill's initiative to restore and preserve the land is absolutely impressive and much needed. The scenery is unreal. There are many green trees with different vegetation. I learned so much, with the guided tour, on the dark history of Barbados. I saw beautiful flowers and different types of herbs, roots, fruit and vegetables. The horticulture is amazing. I hope the monkeys, who are contributing to the detriment of the produce stay far away! If you have a chance to stop in you definitely have to check out this gem. Some parts of the trail did get steep. Definitely wear hiking sandals and or shoes. They will get dirty. I recommend grabbing a poncho or umbrella hat in case a quick shower sprinkles in. I hope you have a great experience just as I did.

Took a moment to explore a piece of the last forest in Barbados. It definitely was a worthwhile trip.

Don’t miss this! Great fun exploring through the forest flora. A couple of monkey sightings too. Quite an adventure (don’t forget to grab a walking stick when you start if it’s been wet). Definitely worth the trip over from the west coast-you see a very different (and beautiful) side to the island. We just got a taxi there-very easy. Jasmine was an exemplary host (thanks again!). We also walked (5 min) down the path to the flower forest-again really beautiful and different to the forest (more manicured, more flowers). There is a cafe there, but not at Coconut forest.
