Great spot close to where I stay. Coffee is amazing and breakfast (Toastie) was great. They are "not" super friendly. But if you don't mind that, the taste itself is awesome!

The only place on St Lawrence Gap that provides real espresso coffee, cold handmade coffees & smoothies. Now with added Cake Lady's special rum punch. Expansive range and choice of cold or hot snacks too😋

I had read about this cafe and also recommended by someone in our hotel.We had a fish cutter bap which is salad and marlin between just to taste one.2 caramel latte frappes and 2 ice creams.Staff are lovely and friendly and reasonably priced.There are a couple of tables inside which is nice and cool and there are tables outside.Not posh but good and service excellent.

Charming coffee shop with a nice variety of drinks and food option Great option for a quick bite or breakfast which is exactly what we did. The espresso iced latte was great and the kids loved their smoothies. Lots of vegetarian friendly options. Bagels with cream cheese, cheese and pesto bread twists and more. The cakes are delicious and a must try. Lemon blueberry and coffee walnut were amazing

The ONLY place to get coffee on the gap but also great toasties, sandwiches, cake and rum punch. To top it off, Susan (owner) is like everyone’s favourite auntie and will take care of you alongside her really friendly staff. A place where both tourists and locals are made to feel at home!

Breakfast sandwich was filling but still light… delicious. Cappuccino was great. Carrot cake was delicious. Ended up going back for lunch it was so good. Chicken salad was fresh and tasty. Smoothie was refreshing and rejuvenating. Thank you Cake Lady!!

If I could have given this place 10 stars, I would. We visited this shop several times during our 2 week stay mainly for a morning coffee and a takeaway sandwich, but sometimes a piece of cake as well. The coffee was excellent and well stuffed sandwiches perfect. The range of sandwiches was ideal for us, tuna, cheese, chicken , ham, etc and the quiches and sausage rolls were also top quality. When you also consider the reasonable prices and the really pleasant service from the Cake Lady herself and her staff, what more could you possibly want?

If you’re looking for a 10 star experience be prepared for better. The Cake Lady and her team only know exceptional service and an exceptional product!!! Kudos Susan, I visited 3x and I had 3 outstanding experiences. I wish I could take you, your team, and your products back to Canada. Thank you. I look forward to coming back to Barbados and experiencing your iced lattes and baked goods again!!! You and your team are amazing!!!!

Well, the reviews were all so positive, and the cake was good, but the owner had absolutely NO customer service skills. My husband, myself, and my parents went in to this place and bought cake- on one of our first days in Barbados. The owner was very short with us on our first experience. Since we like to give people the benefit of the doubt, we figured, that perhaps she was just having a bad day. We decided that we’d give it another try. Well, needless to say, she was even less hospitable on our second visit. While the cake is decent, the hospitality sure is lacking. I would recommend that you take your business elsewhere, unless you appreciate being talked to in a rude manner. If you’re in the hospitality industry- you should treat every customer with respect, clearly she didn’t get the memo.

My girlfriend and her friends have been going here every day we've been staying at Dover beach and have been raving at how nice it is. Popped in this morning for coffee and a sandwich and it is really pleasant, and the staff seem really lovely and genuine.

Enjoyed coffee and cake here... not many places seem to have this in Barbados. Big selection of honemade cakes..we had lemon and blueberry...delicious. Very friendly lady from London now returned to Barbados!

The best coffee shop, proper milk shakes! Smoke salmon and cream cheese bagels were lovely, ham and cheese toasties the best you'll ever have! You've got to try, believe me! And the most lovely owner and staff!

Great food and coffee. Served with a smile. What more could you ask for. My fave is the ham and cheese toastie with a flat white. My partners fave is the carrot cake or the banana cake.

Delightful surprise! Read a review about the good coffee & how a UK lady opened up… so took a detour on the way to the beach & ended up having a wonderful bagel & coffee.. followed by a slice of the most amazing Coconut cake. Just delightful & really good coffee 💝

The best ham and cheese toastie I have ever had in my life. The staff are also really respectful and friendly. The frappe mocha is to die for. Definitely recommend.

This place is Delish!! The stuff is so fresh and delectable. Americano was perfect ..the worker Kendra was so sweet!! I didn’t give 5 stars for service cause it’s sometimes not the fastest but nowhere in Barbados is… they live slow.. maybe I should live slower too :) Highly recommend the cake lady! Cinnamon sugar twists, the cutters and bread pudding with toffee sauce are **chefs kiss** amazing

Great place for coffee and cake. We popped in almost every morning for a coffee and couldn’t resist trying a new cake or pastry every time!! Susan was so lovely to chat too as well made us feel so welcome.

This place was a lifesaver for us. Fantastic cakes and coffee! We were here probably 5 times during our 2 week vacation. All the cakes we tried were great, Carrot,Rum cake. Huge servings of cake also. Very nice staff, underrated establishment! :)

If you are looking for sumptuous snacks and a tasty kick of caffeine, this is the best spot in the Dover Beach area! Staffed by the lovely proprietor and her kind assistant, we were delighted to discover this shop on the very first day of our Barbadian holiday. Iced coffees with oat milk, along with tasty sandwiches and pastries, made me feel like home while also surprising me with unexpected flavors. The ham sandwich was a highlight, along with the chicken salad cutter and pastries with pesto and cheese and everything nice. I will miss having such a cozy and quality spot to visit each morning. Nicest service in the whole island! Lovely people working there. Great iced and regular coffee there with a plant milk option available. I enjoyed my coffee there almost every day.

This place . Wow! Where do I start? We had our best breakfast here and felt welcome from stepping through the door , and the milkshakes are epic. We feel so rude because we dont know the two ladys names we interacted with but felt like we knew them our whole lives. Most welcoming place in Barbados. The best ever sausage and egg toasties. The owner always gave us great tips for our stay in Barbados also. Love it! Our biggest regret was not trying the lunch menus and other options, but everytime we ate out we would always say ,"bet the cake lady shop would have been well better". We say that with no disrespect to the standard of food on the island, which was top draw. Tap on the the back to yourselves you have a business and level of customer service that should be exelmpeary to so many. Will see yous again soon. Keep smiling, your scouse pals🙂🙂

Discovered The Cake Lady today after rave reviews from fellow holiday makers. We were not disappointed! Fantastic made to order take away sandwiches with a great Earl Grey and superb service. Seems like we've found our lunch stop for the rest of our holiday :)

I been in Barbados a week and have stopped for coffee and sandwiches at this most delicious shop three times! Not only is their iced lattes wonderful, their sandwiches are so good — for lunch today I had the fresh baked ham on a soft roll, the best tasting ham I’ve ever had 🙂. The service is over the top — Susan and her staff are amazing! Thanks for everything 💗.

Oh my goodness!! Please visit if you are in St Lawrence Gap. We had chicken and ham and cheese rolls. Delicious, home cooked food. The pastries all looked amazing and we can’t wait to try our pineapple cake. All the staff is so friendly and kind.

Delicious freshly made cakes, excellent coffee and an even lovelier owner. We stumbled across this place on the first morning of our trip and came back every single day. Highly highly recommend, the lemon and blueberry loaf was our favourite!

Very very good!! The coconut crème and strawberry ice cream was delicious!!! Service was awesome! Going back tomorrow lol oh! And the chocolate cake and lemon cupcakes was the bomb!!!!!!! Chef kiss!

You must come and visit Susan The Cake Lady, perfect toasties using carefully sourced ingredients, absolutely delicious. Smoothies are fab and she is the most delightful lady, she even made me a hot ginger and honey drink when I had a sore throat, so very kind of her.

A lovely Coffee shop located on St Lawrence Gap. I would recommend the dirty chai latte it is incredible.The baked goods on offer are all delightful. Thank you the Cake Lady for making our family's experience in Barbados just that bit better.
