We feel as in Moonraker we found a home away from home. We stayed there for a month with two children - a 6-year-old and a 6-month-old baby. Steve is fantastic, he was very accomodating and helpful to make sure we have everything we need and can live and work and enjoy life. We felt very welcomed, made many friends, and felt like part of the community, or I would even say - family. The place has a certain vibe - simple but spacious apartments, basic kitchen, beautiful grounds, very very chill, spectacular sunsets, live music in the bar, dogs around, sounds of the sea and the jungle. You either vibe with it or not, we did. Thank you for everything!

No staff there, not ready for our arrival. A/C was bad, no soap/shampoo... Beautiful spot though

A Hidden Gem! Right ON the ocean; the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks almost deafening. Leave your cell phone at home and enjoy island life. It was mostly filled with locals when we were there Sunday night for live music. The West Indian curry was delicious, beers were cold and the band were hoppin’. Matt and her crew were fabulous hosts, and really made our stay memorable. Make an effort to find Surfers Bay when you visit Barbados. It’s worth the trek.

This place was super chill. A little out of the way, but the perfect vibe. My only complaint is the wifi was a little touch and go. It was good enough for me for most of the day, but in the evening when most people would be connecting it was difficult to get and maintain a stable connection. Would absolutely stay here again.

It's a very rustic setting with properly chilled out owners. Great bar and food. Nice 35 min walk into Oistens along the coast totally recommended

Had a lovely overnight stay. Great vibe to the bar, the food was excellent, and priced reasonably. We loved our little chalet, very rustic. We didn't pre-order our breakfast, but Jae who was very helpful came to the rescue, with coffee and a cheese sandwich.

MoonRaker is a simple and unpretentious place with picturesque view of the sea, great food, spacious rooms and a laidback vibe. The owner, Steve, was very accommodating. There is a cozy restaurant/bar right by the beach with live music every Sunday. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place if you want to join in surfing, sky surfing, and enjoy, at the same time, the Caribbean

Beautiful views, privacy is nice, WiFi is sketchy, and find the housekeeper when you can. Overall nice and feels off the grid like.

+ Steve the manger was very nice as well as Dan the bartender. They made sure we were comfortable with whatever we needed. Also they offered to give us rides to the stores or even to the other party places. The food at the restaurant was very good especially the grilled fish. - This place is very far from the tourist areas. When we arrived we weren’t given a key until about 1hr after our arrival which made us feel very unsafe. There was a stray dog that wondered around at night. We also had a lizard in our bathroom for 2 nights. This place is very isolated so if you are looking to be around other tourists this place is definitely not for you.

Room could be cleaner, ac didn’t work properly, shower head didn’t work and water didn’t drained had to repair my self. No service at all, didn’t bother to ask if I needed to freshen up the room nor offered clean towels. Far away from town, nothing around it. Didn’t like the food or drinks. Don’t recommend.

Great place to relax. We spent a week at Surfers Bay Resort/MoonRaker, and the place was perfect. Beautiful sea view, very good bar and restaurant, swimming pool, and functional apartment

Alot of talk of 'Brain smiles' down in the south of Barbados and this place does just that. Friendly, laid-back atmosphere with a real community feel. Rooms spotlessly clean, pressured showers, very comfy bed and enough amenities to cook, however the food served at the bar is so fresh and tasty you won't spend too much time in there. Beach towels provided. 30-40 mins walk to Oistins along the front, bus stops not far for your $3.50 one way ride up to bridgetown. The vision Matt & Will have excites me knowing what's coming next for moonraker and will definitely return for another fantastic vacation. Sundays live music at the bar which is a must. worked remotely a couple of days which was no issue early in the mornings. An extension on the happy hour would be ideal ;) Mosquito nets on the doors would be nice to be able to leave the door open of a night listening to the waves coming in. Good luck and look forward to another stay one day. Mike & Gem 9B
