I'm not sure if a sign of the times, but Penn Manor Medical Practice seems to be steadily sliding down hill. Spoke with a most impatient receptionist today, who was determined to talk over me, showing no desire to listen patiently to what I was asking her, . . Seems to me that 'customer service' is a thing of the past, showing little or no manners whilst dealing with members of the public, I had to ask the same question 3 times, before finally getting an answer, . . .this is very poor, & doesn't leave you filled with confidence or receiving a good customer experience, no wonder people have signed up to other doctors practices if this is the rude standard being given to their patients, . . . such a shame!!!

Really happy with service I received yesterday and today. When I visited the surgery the lady on reception at Penn Manor was very helpful and patience arranging my appointments.Even more brilliant was that I was able to see a nurse really quickly .Don't know the receptionist name unfortunately but the nurses name was Sarah Mason again very friendly and very helpful.I need treatment now at Pennfields Medical Centre and have been quickly fitted in for 2 days time. Absolutely no complaints just praise for how I have been dealt with.

Would give one star but can’t. Rude receptionists who are not trained in their basic roles of this job requires yet alone patient care and empathy which should be present in every member of nhs staff regardless of whether clinical or non. Unable to get an appointment and they do not keep emergency appointments for those with clinical needs such as post surgical care and assessment including pain relief required post surgically. Left in pain and with no wound care as required by surgeon over Christmas. Was told to go to a and e to have dressing changed. Animals are given more human rights that this ‘medical’ practice gives humans who are in desperate need to be seen and with an attitude of a Karen’s diner employee.

First of all there were no available appointments for 8 weeks, I couldn’t go 8 weeks medically unwell so I called 111 who managed to book me an appointment but told me to call the GP and confirm, when I called Penn Manor it took 45 minutes to get through, my appointment was originally scheduled at 9:50 however when I spoke to reception I was told the appointment was at their other clinic at Albert Squires at 3:20. I then called Albert Squires to confirm this and they said no it was at Penn Manor at 10:20. When I called Penn manor back they then said it was a telephone appointment at 10:20 with them for the morning which this time had then gone past. So much back and forth and I did not get my face to face appointment that 111 had booked. Poor service, as someone that has been registered for 7 years with them and I have rarely had the need to use the doctor’s but when I have it has been near impossible to get an appointment and now even when I managed to get one i was messed around with being given different times and different locations.

Absolutely awful. I've stepped foot inside 3 times, and I get conflicting info from the untrained receptionists each time. My newborn is still unregistered due to 3 errors by 3 receptionists. My partner finds he sometimes can get an appointment the next day, sometimes not, depending on the receptionist he speaks to. I'll be moving ASAP. Can't trust a word the Receptionists say.

This place has gone down hill after being a patient for nearly fifty years I have seen the change.Obviously to many patients and not enough staff. I eventually managed to get an appointment with a nurse she called me into the room asked what was wrong so I explained she looked in dismay as she had called the wrong person in after I checked myself in on the digital check in after a few question she realised she had the wrong person my appointment was for a urgent matter ref hospital to be told sorry I can’t help you you will have to phone the next day. To add to that my wife rang for an appointment regarding a RTA after hospital treatment she wanted a quick check about pains in bruising to be told by the receptionist you need to go to hospital as we haven’t got X-ray vision lol she only asked for an appointment never felt so let down before. If we could all for tell on coming illness’s we may get an appointment in six weeks time

Same day appointment from my own clinic meant visiting this one today, can't understand all the negative reviews lovely people, particularly Sarah Mason who I saw on time & was very reassuring. An excellent practice.

😠 I Called at 8am this week to have an automated message saying no appointments. Too scared to risk hanging up and being unable to get through again I held on for 17 minutes. By the time I got through, no appointments left. No surprise there. The system is more than flawed. The tone of some receptioni...

😠 Used to love my surgery but now they don't seem to care about us at all. Rude and unhelpful reception staff, all they want you to do is ring at 8 in the morning and when you do finally get through you are subjected to a 20 minute recorded message which hasn't been changed for 2 years. One phone line...

(Second day in a row). So there are only 25 appointments per day? Always a pain to get an appointment, staff rude. I can...
