Dave the owner is the most knowledgeable chap I've met, his advise and his time he's will to spend with you is second to none, cannot recommend this guy enough....

The tanks are kept spotlessly clean. The fish are very healthy and at a very good price. The choice of plecos is incredible. The owner only sells good quality equipment. Finally the owner is very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable

This place is simply excellent. The owner, Dave, always finds time to help you achieve what you want with your aquarium. I have been there twice now recently and now I won't shop anywhere else. This was my first visit and I have to say the best aquatic shop I have visited. Tanks were the cleanest I have seen. The staff were unbelievably patient and knowledgeable and gave us lots of advise. They are specialists in amazon species and should be the "go to destination" for anyone in the west Midlands for discus, plecs etc. Will definitely buying all my future fish from them.

I love visiting Black Country Aquatics. I travel 2 hours each way for their discus which are gorgeous and excellent quality. They're always happy to give advice either in store or after sales. Cant recommend them enough 😊

First visit to the shop yesterday after some very helpful advice over Facebook a couple of months ago before I set my tank up. Dave really takes the time to look after his custermers and clearly has the knowledge and expertise to do so effectively, particularly through his years of personal experience with Stenker Discus (and other strains prior to that), and L number plecs. The shop is spotless with immaculately maintained tanks of high quality and well maintained fish - well worth the 90 minute drive for me. I immediately reserved a group of 10 Stendker Red Turquoise Discus, every one of which is in perfect shape and very close in size so ideal to remain as a group - and in my opinion under-priced for their advanced size owing to the fact they'd been grown on in the shop. Excellent customer experience, nothing was too much trouble and I've secured exactly the group of fish I wanted the first time I walked into the shop - I can't rate this shop enough.

Only been once so far but will go again. Man full of knowledge and greatful is helping me out. Also nice and clean. 👍

Drove there from Cheltenham and there is a free car park adjacent to the shop. As soon as I stepped inside I felt good about what I was seeing. Great selection of hundreds of discus. Clean, tidy, professional and excellent no rip off prices. I will be back!

Lovely shop, most clean tanks I've ever seen in a fish shop. Was served by Mark who was very informative polite and friendly, really lovely man. Great selection of plecos including the nice zebra pleco we picked up today, have been looking for one for months, and some other fish that you don't often see in other shops. I was looking for a larger tank and just happened to pop into the shop one day that's when i met dave and he said he could supply me with a custom made tank . The tank was ready within 3 weeks and other places I've used in the past I've had to wait at least 12 weeks I cannot put enough praise on this tank opti white glass great build quality at a fantastic price compared to other quotes I've had . Dave and Mark are two genuine down to earth guys that made me feel comfortable straight away they are out to give some good advice and service to there customers id definitely advise them to anyone .5 star in every department faultless.

This is my favourite aquatic store. So much so I travel up from Cornwall for my discus. Mark and Dave are very professional, the tanks are always clean and their prices are more than fair.

I popped into dave and mark as I wanted to set up a African cichlids tank.They gave me good quality advise even down to how to decorate it with the helicopter wreck theme can honestly say that this it by far the best aquatics shop its a very clean shop all tanks are well stocked and also happy to help they give honest advise with what you want to achieve. Great Store, bought two stingrays and one arowana from them along with peacock cichlids, They have very high quality live stock, including some rare plecs and discus… very knowledgeable team.

I went to black country aquatics for the first time today to buy some top quality discus, and it was absolutely spot on! The advice, the service was fantastic. Dave and Mark were happy to answer all my questions I had, and they were more than happy to share their knowledge with us. This shop is my local fish shop, so when I had a problem with phosphate at about 5 parts per million in my tap water, I went to them. Dave, the manager sourced me a phosphate remover to incorporate in my HMA unit, which worked a treat. Going down to collect it, I saw how utterly brilliant their fish are and I will buy from there.

Went in because the gf bought some blackmoors from a certain popular pet store, and after a day they were showing signs of a fungal infection, asked for some advice and said she'd got some treatment but wanted to see if there was anything else that could help, they didn't really wanna sell any extra medication because mixing them could do more harm (which is respectful, it shows they care more about the wellbeing of the creatures than a sale) and offered a bit of advice. Deffo recommend popping in to these guys

Great range of fish. Not much in the way of real plants for ponds (which is what i went in for but im very new to all this stuff and this was the first time i went to such a store). A couple of staff members in the store, felt welcoming enough and though i didnt purchase anything on this occasion i didnt feel there was any issue with having a browse. Thanks for having the store, will look to pop by again some time in tbe future for some fish

The help an advice from this company is second to none. Irrelevant of time of day the owner will always go well out of his way to offer advice and support even if it is advising purchasing a product he does not sell and therefore does not directly benefit him. The products he does sell are superb. The quality of live stock is excellent, offering a huge range of Discuss, Plecos and other weird and wonderful fish. Great experience recently visiting Black Country Aquatics for the first time, we drove from South Wales and I had high hopes based on other reviews, I wasn't disappointed. Nice clean well stocked tanks great friendly advice from Mark, he gave me lots of information regarding my Discus purchase. Store is clean and well set out with a great choice. I visited Black Country aquatics on 6 January 2023. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to any fish keeping enthusiast in the area. Having been to many many aquarium shops -visiting Black Country aquatics was a real treat. The entire place is spotlessly clean. All the tanks are kept pristine with really healthy fish. The prices are fair and the staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. They have a variety of discus and tetra which look fabulous. They also have fantastic, high-quality pleco and stock some of the rarer varieties. I would certainly be going back again.

First time visiting this shop today and was very impressed by the knowledge and the fish that was for sale ended up buying 2 stunning plecos which was very cheap and beautiful had a long conversation about my discus and different treatments for them the advice was really helpful for discus I hadn't purchased from there will definitely be coming back now to buy more l numbers and get some treatments for my discus thanks again
