Cool historical site to explore and see the remnants of the buildings. Has a picnic bench and small walking around. Parking is limited. Small river runs through and I've seen some interesting blue rocks in the riverbed. Beautiful to visit in the fall.

Awesome little park. No privacy but quiet and serene. Has a lot of stories as you find more and more to discover.

This is a place that is so beautiful, peaceful and historical you just want to sit & take it all in! Great place for Photography/Photographs!! I did many photography shoots here in the past & just a beautiful landscape!

The history of it is nice, I live close by, like 15mins away and never knew it existed. It was the furnace that made ammunition and what not for the war of 1812 for the US Continental congress militia groups against the British red coats. Amazing. It was decommissioned in the 1860s. And it still stands! Cool, amazing for a nice walk, BBQ, and PHOTOGRAPHY.

Great place to go spend your time with family and friends. However, if you're going tubing you should call for the level of the water because when the river water is LOW it's Not worth a TRIP.

My family loves going to the Furnace. Yes it's a smaller park area ,but has alot of small town charm. This place has a ton of history attached to it and makes for a great spot for lunch.

We drop off an empty truck here to pick up our kayaks a few hours later while we drive another loaded truck with our yaks up to Penny Pack. It's crazy how a 10 minute drive is a river equivalent of a 3-4 hour casual kayak ride.

Great treasure hunting for Iron ore blue rocks and clear quartz pebbles! Kids loved playing in and canoeing down the river!

Beautiful, small park along the great egg harbor river. Canoe launch, picknick tables and picturesque views of the river and weymouth furnace ruins. Lots of pine lands flora blooming in the spring through fall. Limited parking and no swimming.

Was a great small park but I went there to hike a trail I saw posted. The blue blazed trail was completely overgrown and not passable even with long pants and long sleeves. Waist high thorny bushes got me bleeding. I really tried to bushwack through it but without a weedwacker I couldn't do it.

Cool place to have a little picnic.. walk the dog .. smoke a j .. etc .. cant say its a must check out place .. but if you happen to be in the area and want somewhere to just sit and relax and then this is a good place for that ..

We LOVE kayaking here. Drop in at Weymouth and kayak to the lake boat launch. The Lake is VERY hard on a windy day. It takes every ounce of strength to cross the lake. The Great Egg River is the best part of the trip. It’s beautiful. There are lots of obstacles to go around which adds to the charm of the river.

Happened to come across this place in February 2023. It is absolutely amazing!! I have lived near here for years and never the history. I can not wait for the summer to come so I can jump on the water and tube down the river. Nice and clean picnic area with running water to clean up with. I can't wait to see how this place will turn out once they complete the historical renovation that has begun.

A great place to have a little chill session hang out grill and just enjoy the water and the scenery. STRICTLY for nature lovers and ppl who enjoy being a part of the natural life it's an old historic site go check it out.

Discovered this place while looking for a pit stop. The place was beautiful. I saw, at least, one BBQ grill there. Would be a nice place to have a small BBQ or picnic.

Very nice place to enjoy a day or just stop for a few minutes.. the only bad things is not much parking and no bathrooms. just port a potty’s… summer time is packed really early..I like to go in the fall or spring or even winter time. Very relaxing

What a lovely little picnic spot and canoe 🛶 spot! No swimming as the current runs very strong right here but canoes, kayaks and tubes all can launch from here.

It's a neat little historic place. Park like setting kind of small with a really pretty classic pine barrens tea colored river running through it. Cool plants and birds throughout the year. There's also a kayak launch there. In the heat of the summer many swim there despite the five signs saying no swimming. Not really ADA compliant anywhere but there are a couple Porta Johns.

Kinda crowded, close to the highway, and buggy, the old furnace is interesting but otherwise a typical roadside park. Near the river.
