Tough climb up, with three false submits. Saw the RAF jets come through the valley which was a massive highlight. Came down the reservoir side which seemed the best way to do it, didn't fancy coming down the way we went up.

A really pleasant walk. On a clear day you can see isle of man. Does take a few hours, so prepare yourself. But the views from wherever you are is beautiful. Remember: If you want a light walk or just go to the top and back...you have to park the car at St Mary's church. Otherwise you will have a long an unsafe walk back. Do not follow the sat nav..park at the church car park.

Nice, easy and short hike from the parking lot at Whicham church. If the weather is good you have a great view from up there, but it can be very windy and cloudy at times.

Easy for climbing to summit and opening beautiful panoramic to sea and around.

Great effort: reward ratio, with straightforward climb to a superb 360 viewpoint at the summit. We were able to see The Mull of Galloway, The Isle of Man, North Wales and, if we’d had binoculars, Ireland. Four countries in one place! A quiet hill (10m short of a mountain) and one to climb again following the loop to the north and west, rather than straight up and down.
