Got here with my friends and we got scammed out of our money. We got 3 jager bombs and 3 double shots with mixer, the bombs were fine but the other drinks did not have any alcohol in them. £18,30 to get a glass of juice, redbull and lemonade. Asked the bartender for a swap or a refund, he refused because he "remembered making the drinks". Probably used tap water on these... Never coming back again

It was so awful I can almost find it funny. Looking for a place for a quick drink before a gig. Decided on this bar as it didn't seem as busy or noisy as some of the others. We ushered our way to the quieter area near the bar, unfortunately a large proportion of the quieter area was being painted and was unusable so we wedged ourselves where we could speak. This place went from being "OK" to "Let's Leave" when a chap who had quite obviously had a few came flying down he stairs - I think from the hotel above and smacked his head off the floor with such velocity I got a secondhand for the poor bloke. Now, as he landed at my feet I got up to see if still had his brains in his head (he did) but he was quite evidently "out of it" at this point. Immediately a member of security and another staff member without checking on this man's condition hoisted him up by the arms and dragged him out of the bar. Completely ignoring other concerned customers that perhaps he shouldn't be moved either with such force or indeed at all. Or perhaps they could of used the cordoned off area to allow the man to seat down safely. It was my impression that they just wanted to get this man out as quickly as possible and we're not willing to ask or listen to anyone who may have seen the incident. Thankfully when we left quickly afterwards the volunteer staff that work Canal Street were treating this man but I can't help thinking that it could have been dealt with with a little more compassion or concern for the man's welfare. As a bonk to the head like he sustained could have been very serious. I appreciate that the staff here must have to deal with all sorts and it can be stressful, I just feel that this incident was dealt with extremely unprofessionally and anyone with a first Aid certificate would know to access a patient with a head injury before moving them. Perhaps a bit more thought instead of knee jerk responses when dealing with these incidents to keep your customers safe would be useful in future.

Absolute rubbish bar and club! Been there once before last night and was same old bs. Last time I went the drinks were horrible! Like they must use knock off mixers and chemicals instead of alcohol. The bouncers are rude and aggressive and seem get a power rush from denying entry. The bouncers are just vile! Do not recommend at all!

Had a fabulous evening here on Friday for my friends birthday. Athena was such a great hostess and really looked after us all, friend had the best birthday. Atmosphere was really good and the drinks really reasonable prices. 10/10

DO NOT STAY HERE. Very poor experience staying at this hotel. They played loud music from early evening until 6am, staff greeted us but then charged a deposit for room keys which we weren't made aware off. Staff shouted down the halls outside the rooms. Bedroom door didn't shut correctly and overall didn't feel like a safe environment to stay in. They prioritise club attendees over hotel guests. The room did look clean but the shower gel and hand soap had separated along with a rip in the actual duvet itself along side several cracks, dents and damage on the walls. The scart cable hung from the TV and went into a connector which was placed between the outdoor window and the indoor window sliders. Cleaners came in everyday, cleaned everything and changed towels whether you wanted it or not. Sadly, we didn't feel safe enough to stay here another night even though we booked it and couldn't get a refund. Had to go up the road to premier inn and pay out more money.

Went here this past weekend, usually it was such a fun place. However the drag artist is constantly shouting every time she spots a hot man. Ruins the whole mood. Only says hello to some people, very rude! Not hospitable either. Giselle was a lot warmer. You can't hear the music, just a MIC being overly used, until the night ends. I then go on to the Butler app to order a drink. My drink arrived it tasted like dead rotting wood, with a old musty smell, like the vodka or something had gone off. Will be swerving this place until improvements are made. It is a shame as the atmosphere was great before even 7 months ago with lovely Ethan.

This is a very relaxed place to have a drink. It does get busy some evenings. We went during the day when although there was people in it wasn't crowded so was nice for a drink. In the evening it was packed but still very enjoyable. Process are reasonable plus they do real coke so that's a bonus

Amazing bar in Manchester's Gay Village. Awesome music, great crowd, also not too loud so could talk to makes without shouting. Amazing dancefloor/music area, combined with the quieter section at the back made it an awesome venue. Thanks for having us!

Nearly always a pleasure to go in! One of my favourite places to have a drink. Staff and customers are always friendly!! The pool table needs replacing tho. Do NOT visit on a Saturday early afternoon.. the clientele changes into really aggressive people. Not the bar’s fault of course. I recommend

Is a fun bar go in alot however me and my friend have recently noticed the attitude some of the drag queens have its good to have a odd joke here and there but this one was exstremly rude and constantly putting people down to make herself look better or be funnier one girl she worked with was exstremly kind and polite and when passing the drag queen something to help out the drag queen told her to get of the stage because its not all about her on the mic so everyone heard the poor girls vibes went straight down this was tuseday night.

The hotel was clean and just enough for one night after the party. The pub was ok and staff was friendly. Reasonable prices and a good variety of drinks.

The new union is my favourite club to end the night on in Manchester, the staff are really on it and the crowd is usually very friendly. It has a good community.

I was pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed in here. Usually we are not a fan of drag queens and cheesy pop music, but when we popped in Saturday night, the music selection was great and the atmosphere was really good. Inside wasn’t too packed and left plenty room to dance and have fun. I’ll definitely be returning and will end our night here or in vanilla. Drinks cheap and cheerful also!

Saw Ginger's Sunday show and she was wonderfully funny charismatic and friendly, and the queens in the show were incredibly talented. The bar staff were wonderfully friendly too!

Gosh this is still going.. wow! I was coming here in the early 90s. I walked in and nothing has changed apart from the introduction of plastic over glasses. Though I could understand this as a night here in the day usually got quite messy and maybe it still does. I mean do people still dance and have fun... apparently they do because on the day I was here there was a Sparkle event and indeed there was dancing. I did throw in a few moves for old times sake ( I ached on Sunday). I got talking to quite a few nice couples as well, very friendly. I've been away from the scene for over 20 years but because of circumstances, it looks like I may be in the village a little more often. I would visit again...just to dance, drink and watch the acts if nothing else. 👍

Racist and discriminative towards me and my friends just because we’re straight girls, never felt so disrespected by the door men.

Great location and hotel. You don’t get your deposit back though, “excuses” paid for a room, and as there was Only me and I used both beds in the room I was told she will have to strip it now and for this reason no deposit back. It’s not a hostel and even if I didn’t use the bed I’ve stayed in the room and it should be cleaned anyway surely? Hygiene? Was looking for a weekly hotel and I guess this will never be the one. Probably the worst customer service I’ve experienced.

This pub ruined a great night out, our drinks were moved off the table in front of us and the table was moved so other people could use it. We we’re then asked to leave as they deemed us aggressive because we asked why our drinks were take from us. Disgraceful behaviour by the security staff too. No doubt this will be taken down from here but people need to know the standard of welcome you get.

Great location. Very noisy. Rooms are basic. Certain things don’t work properly (door locks to bathroom) , but it’s a place to sleep. Very clean

Lovely bee exterior, but a tired and dated interior in need of a bloody good scrub. If you are not after much, then you've struck gold.

Not sure I can give a reliable review, I was quite possibly off my box when I went there.

Loved this place. Great drag show on. Beers not too expensive for Manchester. Fun loving crowd and friendly but firm security staff.
