The main meals are generally very good - large tasty portions but the breakfasts need much better presentation - I wouldn’t go so far to call it slop but more like breakfast soup. I’m not a fan of wet meals and most places (apart from greasy spoons) serve their beans in ramekins but not here, so you end up with a very wet plate composed of mainly the wetness from the chopped tomatoes (again on a breakfast I expected the tomatoes to be halved and grilled/fried, not a spoonful of chopped tomatoes), mushroom juice and bean juice onto which they place the beans everything else (sausage, hash browns, bacon, black pudding) so any crispness is immediately lost. The fried egg was just plonked on top of it all. Definitely can’t recommend the breakfast - stick to the mains. The drink prices (coffee) are also pretty steep and they come out pretty much immediately, so by the time you’ve received your food you’ve finished your drink - I recommend asking them to be served at the same time as your food personally.

Best English breakfast I have ever had and I like to think I'm a good judge of food. Had many English breakfasts around the country I'm from Durham city can't wait until my next visit. Mouth watering 👌

Often a queue at lunchtime due to the popular nature of this restaurant/coffee shop. Worth the wait though!

Great food, however, disappointed to see plastic staws with our meal, especially given its a farm shop cafe and promoting sustainable / local products. Been a while since I've seen them in any uk restaurant/ bar / cafe.

Advertisement of a classic car show to arrive and it not be on! What a money making scam. How about advertising that it’s cancelled so people don’t waste time coming up?!

Called for a lovely full English breakfast and it was great. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Good food, good service only important needed is horseradish sauce for the lovely beef & onion sandwich.

I was expecting a full English to rival the best, but it turned out to be decidedly average. Not particularly large either. Really average in every respect.

Always busy, - a good sign, even when queuing not long to wait. Very friendly staff providing 1st class service with their amazing food. Highly recommend, been many times our party of four all with the same opinion😁

Love stopping by here, normally for breakfast, when up in the area. Service is great, price reasonable & food fantastic. The picture is my breakfast of a bacon roll & tea for one (3 cups of tea!!). Plus we then pop into the farm shop for excellent produce, much of it local.

Freshly made food. One of a few English breakfast places serves not very salty sausages and bacon. I hope their dining tables and cutleries can be cleaner in the future.

Took my wife and uncle and thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. The only thing i was given a hot glass to put a lager in but the glass was swapped for a cooler one. Maybe keeping some glasses in a cool place is an idea they could have

As usual it was a very pleasant experience even though I only went in for a cup of tea ! All the staff seemed very attentive, everywhere seemed clean and tidy , I even had a complement about how nice my aftershave was ' so that's a bonus in my book as it means that the staff are friendly and not overbearing , I've been here on more than a few occasions and never been let down , so once again 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Very busy but got seated and served reasonably quickly. Good choice of food on the menu, something's appear great value, others not so much.

There's something for everyone, including a view, with a service to smile!
