Great excursion. Part of UNESCO so it is well maintained. $15/person and cash only! Must see when on St. Kitts. Beautiful views, interesting facts from history and calm atmosphere. Drive up is interesting :) (down too).

Wow, such an amazing place!!! Spectacular views. Lots of history. It's definitely the best part of the tour we took while visiting St. Kitts. I would for sure love to come back to enjoy this place once more and other beautiful places on the island 🥰

This fort is stunning. The restoration is incredibly well done. I've seen alot of old forts but this one is the best. They still have the cannons in place! The view from there is the best on the island and better than most of the Caribbean islands. It is well maintained and clean. Highly recommend the trip out there. The road up there is challenging, I wouldn't drive myself, take a tour. Sharp turns, extremely narrow entrance and narrow road.

A must see for history buffs and anyone visiting St. Kitts that is interested in understanding European occupation of the island. The Fort is well maintained and lives up to its name: constructed largely of volcanic stone. Views of the island from this high point are amazing and camera worthy. Those who have difficulty walking or are wheelchair dependent need to note the climb to the fort is steep and long. There is a souvenir shop here for those looking for a remeberance to take home.

Fort with a great view and with a lot of historical information. Place was empty when we went so it was nice. Nice and cool with the island breeze.

If you like history, you should visit. Be forewarned the walk up is a good climb, and once inside, be cautious when climbing up and looking around - this historic side does not have railings or fences so a misstep could lead to a fall. There is work going on, but the history is definitely interesting. And the views from the fort are amazing. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful picturesque view point, you need a good guide that can truly drive to navigate the sharp turns. There is a canteen at the top to enjoy a snack and drink. Souvenir shop run by an ex-British couple and orientation room with a video of the history. Within the Fort there are museum rooms to learn about the history. It's a nice highlight when travelling around the island

Well maintained fortress, the place is larger than I thought. $25 USD entrance fee, kinda pricey but supports a good cause. A lot of information on site, great place to spend the day with ocean breeze and perfect views!!!

impressive piece of history. The site is well preserved and maintained as it is a national park. The views are breathtaking. Take your time up explore and learn the history of this fortress. There is a small gift shop where they sell cold water!

It’s a very windy road up to the top. But it’s worth it the beautiful scenery is breathtaking. It’s my second visit and it still amazes me. You watch a short video before walking around staking in the history of the fortress. We visited on. Very hot day in September so couldn’t stay too long in the heat. There is refreshments in the shop at the end of your visit,

The view from the top is indeed breathtaking, especially when visited in June, as there weren't many people around to obstruct the scenery.

Loved visiting the fortress, what a feat of engineering to build this place so high up (by slaves I must add and pay respect to). Well worth a visit and the views are absolutely stunning.

Wonderful place to experience the grandeur and history of St Kitts. The site is immaculate and well preserved. The video at the welcome center is 24 years old and hasn’t dated well. It could do with a refresh. You’re left to your own devices here and there aren’t many informational signs. Still a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Went back to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park after many years. Indeed, the rock of Gibraltar of the Caribbean. If you're a history buff and you're in St. Kitts then this a spot you should definitely visit. Please be sure to listen to the video briefing. Lots of history!!!

The fortress was much larger than I expected. Although it has not been 100% fully restored, enough was completed that you can get a sense of what it looked like. Several rooms have historical displays (it is a museum). I also learned that the famous view online can be rented for events, like the wedding when I went. Well worth the excursion.

Well kept historical place with an interesting backstory. Spectacular scenery abounds at the top level of the fortress. Somewhat steep climb to get up to the lower level but it's not too bad. Great place to visit if you travel to St. Kitts

Very interesting and historical Fort/Park on top of the mountain. Great interpretive 10 minute film of the Forts history and construction, beautiful vistas and restored military bastions and quarters. If you do not like precipitous heights (both at the fort and on the drive up) or very steep steps to climb up and down this may not be right for you. But otherwise, the 360 degree view is definitely worth the effort. Nice gift shop that supports the Park and is not all "Made in China". Local BBQ vendors at the top with very good chicken.

Amazing view with lots of history. It took over 100 years to build. Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a remarkably well-kept site that showcases military structures from the 17th and 18th centuries in the Caribbean. It was planned by the British and constructed by African slaves, telling the story of European colonialism, the African slave trade, and the development of Caribbean societies.

Such a beautiful place with so much history. We went by taxi and were able to walk all over the park and enjoy the gorgeous views. All the employees were so nice and I loved the local crafts that were available at the gift shop.

The fort is interesting, and the grounds are well kept with great views. They should be, since the price for admission is $15 USD per person, which seems a bit high. The printed displays inside the fort are wearing poorly and many are faded badly. Maybe the admission fees will go to good use soon for updated graphics. Another review said you can rent space for venues, that seems like a great idea as the grounds are huge!

Good place to learn about the history of the island though most of it seems to have been taken straight from Wikipedia (or is it the other way around). The guide was funny but reduced the history of the naval forces to three centuries of drunkenness. Best part? The view!

Had a good time visiting. The views are amazing! Be ready for some climbing after your bus gets you here. Lots of steps in the fort. I can see why the British and French fought over the location. Definitely worth fitting into your schedule.

Amazing 360 views from this nicely restored fort. This fort gives you a true sense of the place because it lacks the ropes, signs and closed areas that normally a touristy fort would have.

Another Unesco to tick off our list, turned up at 4.30pm and had the entire place to ourselves beating the midday heat, closed at 5.30pm so we whizzed round, impressive piece of history with fantastic views and monkeys on the way back down - apparently ringing the bell at the top gives you good luck 😄

We were approached by a young man for a tour, we’re SO glad we said yes! We offered a tour at no charge, was very knowledgeable and patient. Was able to answer most of our questions and told history we never would have known otherwise! He also took amazing pictures! We happily tipped at the end.

So far the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the country. Well worth the time and money. Lots of history from where the island was a British Colony... structures and gardens are amazingly well preserved. And on top of all that, the views are spectacular!

This was an amazing fortress that you just must see in St Kitts. I really enjoyed it. Try to go on a day when it's not too sunny, because it's all in the open with little shade. Definitely go up to the top and look out at the ocean and neighboring islands.

Visited the fort today and as others have said the views are amazing and the historical significance cannot be ignored. Disappointingly not much was open and was under renovation which meant our visit wasn't as informative as it could have been. A note on the website and a reduction in the entry fee would have been appropriate.

A must visit when in St Kitts. A very well restored fort with interesting history. If visiting by cruise ship, get a local taxi, for about $50 for 2 and visit Romney manor on the way back.

A great place to enjoy the island scenery and a glimpse of old colonial time. The drive up to the actual fort and gift shop may be a bit challenging as the road is narrow and twisting. Be aware that part of the fort is still being restored. If you like history and curious about the past culture, this is a great place to visit.

Over 300 years and still standing, this is a must see. Stunning views. These walls were sadly built by enslaved Africans under strenuous conditions. 😥 There’s also a souvenir shop. I highly recommend this place. Must pay entry fee in cash. $15 USD per person. This place is definitely worth visiting.

A UNESCO world heritage site, it's well cared for and staff is available to answer questions as well as an introductory video explaining how the hill and fortress was important to the early days of colonization of St Kitts by the French and English. This is a must see while here. There is a charge for admission but well worth it. Views are breathtaking!

Great views of the landscape and ocean, and very scenic. The museum needs freshening up and modernizing. And the contribution of slaves in building it should be highlighted more.
