Absolutely discusting. Filthy and unsafe. Full of junkies. People here wear the same clothes everyday and I almost got raped after leaving the toilet, Bobby the owner yelled at me for crying and threatened to kick me out for crying. She hates me for no reason. Too expensive for a filthy junkie infested doss house. People shoot up in the toilet and smoke pot in their rooms. The first day we came here my feet turned black from all the city on the floor. It's by far, the worst accommodation I've ever been in in my entire life. Kitchen is near men's toilet and is so filthy I refuse to cook. Junkies offered me " ice" I refused. Then he turned on me for not buying drugs. Have been here 4 months and I'm bso drained from living here sometimes I feel 80 and I'm only 28. Mikah projects put me here and don't care about helping me. Now because of Avondale and Bobby, I hate Brisbane very much and want to leave asap. There is pus, blood, poo and snot smeared on the walls. Mainly in the toilet and shower. But also everywhere. So if you want expensive accommodation full of junkies, dirt Avondale is for you!!!

Absolutely disgusting! I paid a week in advance before I left Sydney and upon my arrival I was taken to my room that had chewing gum smeared down the wall and dirty marks all over them, the bed had holes in the mattress and dirty blood stains, dirty linen, the furniture was dirty, the place was falling down, the kitchen and bathrooms covered in dirt, the owner would not give me a refund and told me that was just how boarding houses are! This place needs to be shut down immediately!

Called the fire department due to some nut case lighting a fire in his room An was kick out An the person who lit the fire was given a warning I'm infested with bed bugs Bobby is a two face mole An is only after charging everyone different kinds of rent. Heads up if u want to live the Brisbane river is much safer than a mental health system she tries to provide

Dumb, Dump, Dump. The scumbag boarding house!!! Bedbug paradise, I got sick staying here and unless your immune, like the drug addicted scum that live here, so will you. This place really should be shut down!!!

If your like Bed Bugs, No Shower Heads on the Showers, No working Washing Machines, No Cleaning thru out, Manager Entering your Room without Permission, Total Filth or upkeep of the premises and rats and roaches, being Threatened, this is the perfect place for you.

I've been here for 3 weeks now and I don't understand all the negative ratings... Then again some people feel they deserve the finest of things in life. No bed bugs in my room I don't get the smell of 'burnt curry' near my room, other guests leave me alone and everyones relatively well behaved with pretty much no anti social behavior. For $210 a week I'm happy with the condition of the shared facilities that are cleaned every morning by staff and my rooms comfortable and big enough for my needs. Maybe some of you complaining should learn what living rough is before ya run ya mouth, either that or I can only assume you were evicted due to your own stupidity so see fit to retaliate here.

Avondale Private Motel has been under NEW MANAGEMENT for some time now and the Owners are very frriendly and generous People. And I have been living here for almost 1 Year.. I will say it is the SAFEST and CLEANEST Boarding House in QLD. People are Friendly and the Complete House in Cleaned Every Morning. By a Professional Contract Cleaner. A lot of effot has also been put into the lovely Gardens outside. You will also find clean Laundry with 2 x Commercial Washing Machines and a Large Commercial Clothes Dryer. If you are in URGENT need of safe, clean Acccommodation. I recommend giving AVONDALL a TRY, as you may end up staying for YEARS.

This place is essentially a halfway house. The residents are constantly rummaging through neighbouring peoples bins, stealing, breaking into garages and scavenging for cigarette butts. Would be smart for QLD government to house them elsewhere that doesn't disrupt the community.

they probably don't know there first aid. they don't know what seizures are. the room that I'm in has a window and it goes to the hallway and makes the room hot. and when I have my fan on it is to cool the room down but they want me to turn the fan off because they think I'm making to much off a bill I'm paying my bills to live here so I can do anything I want so I'm making a complaint to them and getting this place shut down

Best place in the world .. LOL ... 😆🤣😄 ### UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT ### ........... What a joke .. the management fight DAILY but evicted a young couple who had the odd argument. The place is so dirty , they did a half arsed job at cleaning. The amount of drunks and drugged out people that live in one house is sad. The management did nothing bar take rent. Should be condemned... Most the neighbors have 7ft fences and i don't blame them..... I felt very unsafe

Well these guys helped me though tough times So all i can say is i appreciate this place.

Give this place a miss the manager on site is alcoholic a user the owner yells screams and abuses everyone it’s a mess inside with nothing ever getting fixed you have more freedom in jail they are money hungry never returned so called bond money and the police work for them it’s putrid needs to be shut down I have photos the health department need to step in all photos taken in January 2024 I would compare it to a rubbish dump give it a miss as the owner even walks in your room without notice junk
