This sushi train looks trendy, inside layout is well done with cool tables that has the train pass you twice. We pulled plenty of plates down to try a little bit of everything. The serves were quite small and could tell it wasn't very fresh despite it being a busy lunch time. Nothing really wowed me and compared to a lot of the other sushi on the Northside it fell short. Normally spend about $30 for two people but we ended up paying close to $50 for what was a lower quality sushi train experience.

Pretty average. We ordered the calamari rings and they served us a petty 3 pcs of calamari rings for $3.50. Next we ordered the salmon sashimi again we gad 4 tiny pieces for $7.50 but advertised in front of the restaurant every plate is $3.50. We cane at 7:45 pm and at 8pm the staff was asking to take last order and nothing on the sushi train as being added except for some ready made packet sweets which I could have gotten for $2 at a nearby Asian store and ice cream. This sushi train is a sham. I'd had better.

Horrible. Gyoza were cold and uncooked inside. Took ages for our order to be prepared. The staff seemed more interested in chatting than preparing our order. Wasn’t even busy. Worst sushi we’ve ever had. Avoid.

We were there at about 3.30pm on a week day for a quick bite. We saw the special with all dishes for $3.80 and lowered our expectations. But we're pleasantly surprised. The food was reasonably good and the service was friendly. I particularly liked that two chefs were ladies for a change. We walked away quite happy. The only issue we found was the use or old avocado. See photo, but other than that everything was fresh and tasty.

Wouldn't recommend, not a horrible menu however there are some unusual options in comparison to other sushi trains. Our third plate had an insect in the kewpie mayo and when I notified the employee she looked at me confused and said "thank you" so I don't think she actually understood what we were trying to point out to her. Unfortunate as this left us both second guessing their sanitation practices. We left the restaurant and walked to the opposite end to Wara. As mentioned in other reviews Wara seems to be alot higher quality.

Worst place to eat over priced , small portions plates are not clean . Food was open with flies getting into it felt sick after being there. Spent to much money for food that was not fresh won't go there again

I didn’t have high expectations, but the food was below even that. Everything was cold (that was supposed to be hot/warm) and old, nothing fresh. Rice tasted very stale.

Do not recommend. Went here for dinner at 5.30pm with 3 girls. Worst sushi we have ever had, even the kids complained. Not fresh, cold and something was wrong with the rice, which left a bad after-taste. Usually feed all of us for around $80 but cost us $120. We did speak up when paying and got no response, like they were pretending not to understand English. Avoid!

Incredibly expensive now. $76 dollars today to feed myself and my two little kids (no drinks). Literally the most expensive sushi we've ever eaten. It was the same meal we always eat, except around 40% more expensive. The food is good here but we can still get great sushi at Nundah for decent prices so today was our last visit to Hero.
