Fortitude
Valley
in
Brisbane,
where
laid-back
vibes
meet
luxury,
is
a
captivating
blend
of
bohemian
charm
and
high-end
dining.
Same
Same,
a
beloved
gem
in
this
eclectic
neighborhood,
is
a
haven
for
both
locals
and
travellers
alike.
It
offers
a
relaxed
Asian
fusion
dining
experience
with
an
open
kitchen,
chic
bar,
and
an
intimate,
softly
lit
atmosphere.
Their
menu
is
a
fusion
of
Southeast
Asian
cuisine
and
Australian
local
produce,
and
they’ve
mastered
the
art
of
blending
flavors
while
maintaining
authenticity.
Our
meal
kicked
off
with
amazing
oysters
accompanied
by
a
zesty
green
Nahm
Jim
sauce,
a
refreshingly
delicious
start.
The
smoked
trout
with
coconut
peanut
dressing
and
papaya
wrapped
in
betel
leaf
was
a
revelation,
combining
sweet,
savory,
acidic,
and
umami
flavors
in
one
single
bite.
The
main
courses
were
incredibly
generous.
The
whole
fried
fish
with
sweet
and
chili
sauce
featured
a
crispy
batter
encasing
succulent
fish,
an
absolute
highlight.
The
Panang
curry,
with
Angus
beef
cheek
so
tender
it
practically
melted,
offered
a
delightful
blend
of
coconut
sweetness,
nutty
peanuts,
and
chili
spices.
To
complement
these
delights,
we
savored
perfectly
dressed
papaya
salad
and
stir-fried
morning
glory
as
sides.
We
savored
every
plate
and
somehow
found
room
for
dessert
-
coconut
sorbet
with
crispy
lotus
and
caramelized
banana,
a
perfect
ending
that
combined
the
refreshing
coconut
with
indulgent
sweetness.
Same
Same
left
an
indelible
mark
on
our
taste
buds.
