Stayed in a small room. Facilities were fine, the air con worked which was great. However our room had an inter connecting door to the room next door and it was like staying with a flatmate! We could hear EVERYTHING and I'm pretty they could hear everything too. So our room lacked privacy. It smelt like cigarettes and our balcony view was opposite the next apartment which meant there were over 50 people looking directly into our room so we had to keep the curtains closed the whole time. Overall it was disappointing. The 2 stars is for the great location and basic necessities. Your better off staying somewhere else for an extra $20.

Location is good, but not much else. Room was comfortable enough, but not very clean. The main issue is the noise! Laundry truck loading and unloading linen right outside the room at 11pm with no consideration for noise. Skip bins right outside room emptied at 6am. Air con and fridge in room very noisy, walls and doors paper thin. We felt worst when we woke up than when we went to bed. I would avoid if you like a peaceful nights rest. The price doesn't match the product offered.

Rooms were clean. Staff friendly and so helpful. Accommodated special parking for me for my 4WD which couldn't fit in the underground parking. That was amazing. Would be nice to have the coffee bar open all day and restaurant closed Mon and Tues which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that was really happy.

Very convenient to everything. The Hotel itself needs some TLC and refurbishment in apartments. Very tired looking but clean and location suits our purposes . The the unit we had this time was dirty hardly had any cutlery even though it was an apartment. The pots and pans were greasy and very old. Only had one breakfast bowl. We had to defrost the fridge before we could put anything in it. The grout on the floor in the bathroom was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned for a very long time the same for the drain cover. The longer had white marks inground into the fabric. For the price they have charged over Xmas you would at least expect it to be clean and well stocked with cutlery, crockery tea and coffee. We have stayed here several times and never before has the apartment been as dirty. We will not be back and we would never recommend it

I wanted to share my thoughts about my recent stay. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped. The receptionist wasn’t very welcoming, and the room had a strange smell. It was also quite small, and I had trouble finding enough towels. No dental kit in room. The charging points were far from the bed, which made things a bit inconvenient. Everything looks very old in room.Lastly, the pool water was too cold for a comfortable swim. I hope this feedback can help you improve these aspects for future guests. Such a bad experience never come back. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The hotel is well-located. It’s fairly dingy, which we were okay with because of the location, but the service is just bizarre and not up to scratch. Dirty things were left in our room, the phone in the room didn’t work, and the staff didn’t seem to care about either of those things. “24-7 staff onsite” means there is ONE staff member who sits in reception and is rude to you 🙃 I had to go give them a dirty towel that was left in our room and collect a new one - no apology, care or anything. The beds were also very uncomfortable and there is no view. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend staying here, unfortunately.

I stayed for a week for work in a one bedroom apartment with a washing machine. Room was clean and comfortable. It’s just a short walk to Southbank, the Convention Centre, restaurants, and many other popular tourist locations. Undercover, secure, and free parking was one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. I’ll definitely be back.

This place was AWFUL!!!!! Don’t go there! One star service at best! The noise was atrocious, the bathroom door handle was broken and not repaired properly, the service was poor, breakfast was quite lean … not to mention broken pillows with stuffing coming out of them, dodgey curtains, weird smells and the air conditioner was noisy and had a burn smell coming out of it so bad I almost threw up!! I felt unsafe with all the noise and I didn’t know if the door to the room was locking or not! AVOID THIS PLACE! I’d rather have been homeless than stayed here!!

I felt obligated to leave a review so people know what they are paying for. Unless you want to pay to sleep in a place that smells like sewage I'd recommend against it. The hotel itself is not well maintained and and the keys themselves are large physical keys, on large bulky key chains. To make things worse I was there for a week and I did not get a refill on soap, shampoo or towels. I have actually had better service in 3 star hotels in Cuba and the Dominican Republic in comparison to this "4 star" hotel. Location is decent.

Rooms are comfortable and great walking down to the river for morning exercise. I have been coming here for 5 years running conferences and the training rooms are great, good facilities and cooked lunches for attendees. Staff are very friendly and attend to your needs. The bedding us very comfortable. Yes I agree the rooms were a bit tired, however they are all being upgraded with new carpets and air conditioners and paint works and furniture so having been here for many years can honestly say a real improvement and very good value for money both conference and staying. Only improvement for me would be some resistance weights, even dumb bells you could borrow would be good as walking along the river bears a treadmill.

My young daughter and I stayed here for the night and it was the worst experience of our life. The room decor and appliances were old and dirty. The air conditioner was very old it almost blew up, it woke us from our sleep at 1am screeching and shooting ice across the room and then stopped working. We had no sleep from this and it was extremely hot! It is disgraceful the hotel had the nerve to charge me $160 a night!I would not recommend this hotel!

Riverside Hotel is in a prime location, making it super convenient. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, and I truly appreciated the option to check in early – especially since I was arriving late and just wanted to rest up. Definitely good value for money. However, they did lose a star as my bathroom had a bit of an off-putting sewerage smell. Other than that, a solid choice for a stay.

This was the most atrocious accommodation I've ever stayed in. The person at reception had insane dandruff coating the neck of his shirt and the foyer looked like it was out of an American murder movie. The room stank of paint, there were no lightbulbs in the lights and there was literally a cigarette butt in the hallway.on the way to the bathroom. The traffic was incredibly loud and it felt like I was in a third world country, it was rough as guts. I wish I had of saved my money and slept in my car.

Stayed here while travelling from the UK for a wedding in Airlie Beach. The rooms are very modern, kept well and full of food and snacks. Wifi was strong and there were no bugs, no loud noises and no drunks stumbling up to their apartments at night. :)

Walking from hotel is pretty easy. Central location. Friendly efficient reception. Attractive, clean lobby, lifts and hallways. Comfy spacious rooms. They can just definitely invest in new pillows. Ones we slept on felt like we where sleeping on the pillow cases only. Flat as a pancake. And the curtains absolutely needs a desperate wash. It's filthy. Or invest in blinds. Not enough cutlery for the amount of people staying in the room. Breakfast was ok.

The staff were friendly, they needed more knowledge of the area. It was only a short walk to the main attractions of South Brisbane, such as qpac theatre, Qld museum etc...but if you want snacks or drinks take your own as there are no convenience shops nearby..only vending machines in the hallway as you enter the 2nd building... The room was clean and tidy, comfy pillows but the bed was not that comfy, but was only a night stay...the room was not overly big, but enough for 2 adults and maybe a child, the bathroom was tiny, the view from the balcony was the main road...however it wasn't too noisy with the door shut...I found it hard to sleep due to night time noise and other guests making noise in the hallway which I must add is massively long!! They had no water in the fridge if you wanted water it was either water from the bathroom or you had to buy from the vending machine... We did have an issue with our key not being able to access the building after hours the key was to big, but luckily we had other guests that were entering the same time and let us in..maybe staff should check their keys so this doesn't happen in the future..oh and the shower door was off the rails and wasn't secure, it could have possibly fallen off.. Breakfast was delicious, it was a buffet with hot and cold options and a lady doing barista coffee which was nice possibly the best part of my first time experience at this hotel... But thank you for your hospitality

I stayed in the hotel for three nights. I booked the room online and requested for the room to be on the top floor with the view of the bridge. My request was granted. I called the hotel several times before I booked the room. The phone was answered promptly and all my questions were clarified. Josh and other guys in the reception were friendly and polite. I liked the location of the hotel and free spacious parking was a bonus. It was tricky to find the hotel first day when I arrived as I have never visited Brisbane before. The room was very spacious and there was not too much noise from the outside. The bed was comfortable, the table, the bench top and the wardrobe were spacious. $10 voucher for no daily room service was a bonus. Check in and check out was easy. Close to Southbank attractions and ferry. Cons - the bedsheet had some yellow stains, it should not be put on the bed. One part of the sliding door in the shower was missing. The water was splattering everywhere. There was no a robe hook on the door or the little shelf in the shower to put the soap and shampoo while in the shower . For some reason it was difficult to adjust the water temperature. The power point was only on one side of the bed and not very close. Luckily I had a longer charging cord. The rooms doors for some reason are very loud when closing. I was woken up at 6.30am every morning by slamming sounds, as people were going to have an early breakfast. Not sure if this issue can be fixed somehow. It was very annoying. I had breakfast only once, using my $10 vouchers. It was a good filling breakfast, but I would not pay $22 for that. There are no supermarkets near the hotel. I did my small shopping while in the city. Overall good experience - I would stay in this hotel again.

Has a very unclean, budget, grotty feel to it. Guess it’s ok for the money if you just need somewhere to crash, but don’t expect this to be a nice luxury apartment that enhances your overall holiday experience. Staff are hot and cold in their friendliness.

Average hotel, thy name is Riverside. "Welcome sir, your room is on the sixth floor. Please take the elevator to the fifth floor and then walk along the dim, partially refurbished corridor from hell, and then you must ascend a bleak, unsigned concrete emergency fire escape, replete with piles of disused equipment, to find your spacious, dimly lit, sparsly furnished room. Enjoy your stay. Breakfast is 20 bucks extra."

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. We booked here for a night out after my Xmas work do in Brisbane as we are from the Gold Coast. We got to the room and as it is December in Brisbane we turned on the air con on but it was hardly pumping air out and what air was coming out was not very cold. So we opened the cover and it was very dirty. Then we saw so much mould and dirt in the outward air flow area we new we could not stay in the room. Then we started looking elsewhere and found plenty of mould in the bathroom too. Mould is dangerous. As the cricket was on there were no other rooms available so we left and they gave us our Money back. The rooms are very dated and the phone did not work. What upset me the most was the attitude. They expected us to deal with it. Leave the door open she said. Which opens right onto the bridge! At $230 what a joke. It is lucky to be a $100 room yet Trip Advisor rated this dump at 4 stars. I have found this a few times and will check elsewhere in future.

The sheer curtains where are they and at night you would see bright light and in the morning sunlight. No way to get a good sleep unless you sleep to the side facing away from the window. Very dissatisfied- not value for money.

I mean…it’s not the greatest but it’s really not that bad. You have to wonder why it’s less expensive than everything else in the area. I would love to say it should be even cheaper but I don’t know what their running costs are. We were only there for two nights & didn’t need to interact with the staff aside from checking in & out. Each time was quick & easy, the staff were polite. The ground room floor we had was very basic as expected. One of my pillow cases & the sheer curtains seemed a little stained but it otherwise seemed clean. Oh, aside from the churros left in the fridge by the previous guest. There’s a very unpleasant smell from the drain in the bathroom. We noticed that in other areas of the city around the river too so unsure if anything can be done about it. Unless you have super high standards, this hotel is just fine given it’s location. It was fantastic to be able to easily walk to Southbank or the city & honestly, I’d probably stay there again.

Absolutely Wonderful Service Stayed here on RiverFire night due to location - perfect My wife and I were blown away from the outstanding service. "Tracey" one of the staff members showed genuine and honest caring for all her clients not just us. She treated all of her clientele with sincere care and desire to please. Nothing was too much of a problem. You just don't get this service anymore. Will definitely be staying here again when next in Brisbane.

My boyfriend had made a complaint about our last booking with this hotel as not only was our room disgustingly left with urine marks left in the bathroom and half the appliances not working, we were treated rudely by the staff person at the counter when we brought this issue to his attention. The GM was considerate enough to offer a cheaper price with a room upgrade for our next stay. But that meant very little after seeing the state of the room, used condoms were found in our bedroom with spit marks on the walls and outputs hanging out the wall which looked very unsafe. And when mentioning this to the front counter which just so happens to be the same person from last time, he couldn’t care less about what we said. I highly recommend not staying at this hotel and if the hotel offers other accommodation offers we’ll refuse to ever set foot back in that hotel.

Disgusting service by the manager after he was advised of issues in the room, total No care attitude with a big dose of rudeness. I would not stay here if it was free, rooms very unhygienic, unclean, unsafe appliances, overall very disappointing and uncomfortable to sleep here with such dirty room conditions, NEVER AGAIN, don't compromise your health and safety by staying here, even if you're desperate, and the Manager needs to find another job, he is absolutely terrible to deal with. Obviously doesn't like what he does, it really shows.

People here weren’t very helpful. You’re not forced to be cheerful, but I doubt they’ve smiled once since they got here. As soon as we got into the room a stench of old cigarettes. Everything was dusty and if you’re looking for a hotel with a nice view I recommend staying far away from here. We were on the ground floor and all we could see was a large gate, with the large building next to us and a stench of rubbish. The television’s extra channels didn’t work and overall the room had scratches and marks on the walls and furniture, and was probably the worst place I’ve stayed in my life. I would say you get what you paid for but if I was being truthful you get much less. Ew.

I stayed here with my 2 kids for about a week. From the booking to the time we left, the staff; especially Priscilla, were extremely helpful, warm and friendly. Priscilla saw to it that we were well taken care of. The room though basic, was clean. The location was fantastic, close to the museum, library, the Lagoon etc. We would definitely stay here again. extremely warm

VERY NOISY! Laundry truck service loudly delivers at midnight right outside ground level rooms for more than half hour (apparently this is their regular time). Staff chatting right outside room door at 6am which wakes you up. Room was smaller than expected but comfortable. Rushed check in, gave key and sent you on your way. When checking out we tried to tell reception that we were disappointed in our stay and he didn't even look up from his screen and showed no interest at all that we were unsatisfied. Wasn't an overly cheap room so definitely expected better than what we got.

Bathroom sink was faulty, renovation work is very loud and there was no prior notice of this at front desk when checking in. Was informed someone would come and repair the sink between 9 and 10. When I asked why no one arrived yet, front desk was very rude. Front desk didn't explain issue with sink properly to repairer. On the bright side, repairer was polite and helpful. Fixed sink and replaced kettle which was filthy. Noticeable wear and tear to room.

Riverside Hotel definitely needs a refurb that's for sure but I'm saying that it's still modern-ish I guess. The hotel location is awesome and the facilities are exactly what you need when living the life of a traveller (a laundry would be great) thank you Riverside for free parking yey Housekeeping should all be replaced! The basic things one cleans at home n not just in hotels they don't seem to know, and talking with them isn't possible they look at you like your a alien! Luckily the amazing front desk staff make up for housekeepings lack of a good impression. The two night receptionists Josh & Liz were awesome, so friendly and very helpful going above and beyond to make sure our needs were met! Bravo to you two, having to deal with the complaints due to other staff and the run facilities must be hard yet yous do it with a smile - thank you for making Riverside worthwhile! We will be coming back soon 😁

Great location with helpful staff. Rooms are tired, mattress was soft and saggy in the middle. The buffet breakfast would be amongst the worst I've ever had. Tired overcooked scrambled eggs, baked beans out of a can, dreadful sliced bread from the supermarket...

I had the opportunity to stay at the Riverside for a night. The hotel boasts a pleasant and immaculate ambiance, complemented by its favorable location. The rooms, characterized by their ample space and inviting atmosphere, offer a delightful view. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff for their attentive care throughout my stay, ensuring a comfortable experience. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a respite from their usual surroundings for a few days.

Great location. Room is large, a bit older but perfectly functional and clean. Great value accommodation. Bit of road noise but not enough to bother. Easy walking to everything southbank has to offer. Staff are great, and breakfast is great value. Will stay again

  • 2/5 Anita D. 8 months ago on Google
The only reason it got 2 stars overall is because of its location between the Suncorp Stadium and the Southbank. The best bit about the apartment was its size and its balcony, otherwise it smelt and didn't look clean in the kitchen area. The pre booked breakfast seemed good value, but it was scant and poor quality. Ironically more food turned up just before breakfast was about to end!

I chose Riverside Hotel based on proximity to QAGOMA and the State Library. It was an easy and safe, two minute walk and not much further to the restaurant in Fish Lane, for dinner. Drop off and free parking was effortless. We had views of GOMA and the city skyline from the bedroom, living room (with sofa bed) and balcony. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel can be at a convenient location but the room doesn’t worth it. With old furnitures, doors and drawers stuck in, pillows & mattress not comfortable at all and this bad smell (urine) from bathroom going through to the bedroom. A very bad night no sleep at all and every single breath in was the urine odour going into your nostrils!! Very disappointed.

I very medium hotel. Not a great view not a great pool. The pool was very public and felt like you were constantly being watched I did not appreciate that. There was no view no matter how high you went even though the photos make it look like it. The bath/shower was disgusting. I don’t know wether it was mold or just generally rotting, but make sure you bring shower shoes and don’t hold onto the broken door to help you get out. I did appreciate how there was a tv in each room and you could connect with your phone. Some of the people at the counter were quiet rude and blunt.

Paid $350 for a very dated and grotty room. Would have moved hotels if the whole of Southbank wasn't booked out and we weren't left enough time to search anywhere else before our event. Pitted toilet seats, mouldy showers, plugs that don't fit sinks, lights that didn't work, curtains that werent hung properly and pillows that were a pillowcase just stuffed with stuffing. And that was after we complained and they apparently upgraded us. Oh and the Riverside hotel doesn't have any view of the river even after we rang again after booking to check and was assured there was. Just a close up view of the go between bridge so you could watch people picking their nose in their cars. Even after complaining twice in a polite but unhappy manner, nothing was done. Meals were very average too.

Great budget accommodation in Southbank cloe to the museum and art gallery and short scenic walk across the river to the city The rooms are a bit older but Clean and very well equipped including washing machine and dryer good for an extended stay. There is a 20 buffet breakfast and friendly attentive staff and plenty of parking perfect for a family stay

I booked a balcony room at the cost of $306 for 1 night stay in October 2023..When I got my room key and walked into my room, I find it was not a balcony room but on ground floor with a sliding door leading onto an area that the public walk through. I tried to lock the door and found the lock was not working properly..I finally got it locked and pulled the curtains across so no one could see in..well the curtains were ripped and disgustingly dirty..I checked out the bathroom to find a curtain separating the toilet and shower and it looked like it had never been cleaned. An empty kettle to which I had to take to reception to fill as there was nowhere to fill it in my room..TV reception was horrible...the room was filthy, the carpet was disgusting..the only good thing was the sheets were clean..i think..i didnt look too closely...which I guess is what we all really want..I headed to the restaurant eating area for dinner..I ordered off the menu ..300gm steak with red wine jus and salad and roast potatoes.for $32 and ordered a glass of Sauv Blanc..after a while I had to hand motion to the Person who served me as he was talking with the reception that I would like my drink..then came out my meal.. It was a thin piece of some sort of meat that was grossly thin and leathery with a bit of some sort of lettuce with thin strips of carrot and potato wedges..no jus. When I asked about the jus he said we only have gravy, tomato or BBQ sauce..I asked for the gravy which took 1 minute that tasted like water..no flavour..this meal was inedible...please don't get me wrong..I am not a snob..I just wanted the meal that was on the menu that I was paying $32 for.. I had to pay for the meal according the night reception...over all really disgusting meal and disgusting room..very disappointed after paying so much money..I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room we were in was small big enough for myself my mum and my little one. The staff are all so lovely and very helpful. We felt so welcomed there. The location is absolutely brilliant because straight across the road is the museum, there are restaurants of all types just a short walk away and so is southbank and the mater hospital. Everything is so close and convenient.

Extremely convenient location and rooms are clean where it matters. If you're nitpicky about nicks and stains, don't book here. Staff were nice but blunt, however I personally prefer it that way. Walls on the hallway are a bit thin and you can hear people talking as they're walking through but it's not too bad. There's free parking included but if you're planning on using uber or ordering food often be prepared to include extra instructions as many people get confused about one of the entrances being on a small side street. There's a very cute Cafe around the corner on Hope St for good coffee too

Convenient location with friendly and helpful staff. Stayed here for our last night of our trip, so the issues I had might not apply if you're out and about for most of the day. The TV was quite a pain to use, had issues with casting, remote lagging, and overall defective channels and modes. Again, probably not an issue if you're not killing tired and lounging. The shower was small and I'd highly recommend getting your own soaps and shampoos etc. It's worth mentioning that the air conditioning was wonderful

We stayed at Riverside the start of the December holidays and in spite of a few housekeeping and maintenance issues we had a great stay Upon our arrival (we were a cpl hrs early) we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful lady Elisa. She even moved things around to put us into a room straight away so we didn't have to wait, and even when we returned to complain about the room she remained happy still even though she was very apologetic and clearly embarrassed (very humble she was) she acted swiftly and professionally and we are very thankful for that as her demeanor helped our not so great stay be a little better. The room was (we had a 1 bedroom apt) a decent size with full kitchen , but please note sofa beds aren't actual beds and where are we meant to sit during our stay if that's made up?? The entire building and facilities is dated and in need of a revamp as is your house keeping staff! Unless you want to go down to a three star hotel yous should probably start returning! Location was great so close to everything I didn't need to drive - thank goodness and free parking was a bonus too. Will return again, if there is a revamp!

Stayed here for my birthday. Had a really nice time in Brisbane and the hotel is very well located in city. Close to pretty much everything you need. The room was clean, pool was nice for a sw the next day, checking in was easy and staff were friendly. Only thing I found was the bed was a bit hard but I'm someone who prefers a softer bed. Would recommend for a cheap stay.

This hotel got 1 star only because I could not give it 0. Staff really did not care that I specifically asked if my room could be cleaned and it wasn't (I asked at 8am). They told me cleaning staff had now gone as it was 4pm when I returned to my room. Hotel was very very average to start with and then it got worse. I would never stay here again and unless you are absolutely desperate I would avoid this hotel at all costs. I'm amazed that places like this still survive when there are so many good, reasonably priced hotels. My mistake for booking here.

We stay in Brisbane when we want to have a big weekend, no driving. So we only need a affordable, clean room with secure parking. We have a hotel we use when we are on the north side of the river, now we have one for the south. We had plans to go to GOMA and then bars in the local area, which we could do on foot. Great location and no hassles.

Great location ,but thats were it ends shower head clogged and green with no water pressure along with mould and grime in the shower bath combo making it a very uncomfortable experience also missing half the shower screen ,The bed was very uncomfortable with the matress saging and feeling every spring making it difficult to sleep along with a very noisy air conditioner, the balcony was also grimey and dirty so we didn't bother ,so not a great experience and I feel it was overpriced for the low standard

A comfortable hotel, lovely staff, very clean, and ... close to GOMA, the Museum, Queensland Art Gallery, South Bank, Queensland Library, the Convention Centre ... and so much more.

Older building so if you are looking for a brand new hotel with modern fixtures this is not it. However very clean and conveniently located THE GOOD The parking is VERY secure. Location is excellent. 5-15mins walk to entertainment eateries etc. Balcony door so if you are a person who doesn't like being 'closed in' there is plenty of fresh air Staff very friendly and helpful with information and guidance. Whole building quite clean, foyer smells pleasant. Rooms dated but well maintained THE BAD My double bed was just two singles pushed together. My aircon was a little louder than I would have prefferdd

When finally arriving to our room, the barrel lock was literally hanging from the door. The shower was poorly maintained, the shower head clearly needing replacing and attacking our faces as we showered, and the soap holder loosely held in by one screw. The air conditioner dripped during the night, and when notifying reception of the issue it was very much a ‘we know’ but said they couldn’t do anything about it. Regrettably, I don’t recommend this hotel.

The location is great. Basic room. Small bathroom with not much space for your toiletries and nowhere to hang anything. Mould in shower recess. And don't use the spare blankets. I've never seen a more threadbare, disgusting blanket ever in a motel. Apart from this and the exorbitant price of $384.00 for a room with balcony, 1 queen and 1 single bed, compared to their usual, advertised price of $169.00, the room was quite adequate. But hey, Elton was in town and that appears to raise prices by more than 100%. Apart from these issues, the service was good. Staff, helpful. We were comfortable and chose to have the breakfast the next morning in the dining area. The woman serving us was efficient, hard working and very nice. If you're a vegetarian, there's not much in the hot breakfast department for you! At least some baked beans would be useful. There's an area you can smoke in if you are a smoker. Near the pool. And yes, there's a small pool. Undercover, under building free parking. I would stay again for its convenient location. Less than 1 km to Suncorp stadium. At least I'll be prepared for some of those 'issues.' Hopefully the price might normalise because for that room at $384.00, it wasn't worth it.

Super friendly check in. I was served by a veteran employee who told me he was there on the opening night. First room I was given had a faulty ac, I was provided with another room without fuss. The hotel is old and tired, but the price is low and free secure parking in this area is easily worth $20-30 per night. Once the value of parking is considered the room rate is a bargain. Keep in mind that low prices attract clientele commensurate to the price and the price you pay should reflect your expectation level.

Great location. Good price. Check-in staff friendly and helpful. Room is a bit of a state. Cracks in the walls, stains on the walls, a front door that won't close without needing to be slammed. The pool wasn't available, but we weren't advised of this when booking.

Excellent last minute catch up with friends. Great price for the night, decent sized room and staff were great. They allowed an early check in as it was raining.

I am the return customer to stay in your hotel as per above period and I am VERY VERY DISSATISFY your service as per below: 1. For the whole stay of six nights, no housekeeper to clean our room. 2. On 27/2 morning your u/g carpark is start to flood but no body announce the customer until almost 0730 and at that moment my car is already immersed inside water for the depth of around 400mm depth. My car was all flooded inside. I can't remember how long I spent to clear the water out from my car? Enclosed are the photos of my wetted car. I asked your staff to see whether I can claim the cost of my wetted car but they said "no, it is not our responsibility." Suppose your hotel should have insurance to cover the third party property? Ridiculous. 3. From 28/2 - 2/3 there is no power supply and also no hot water for bath. It is very ridiculous that there is no generator to support the power failure. Also hotel didn't provide any torch or candle inside room!

You get what you pay for here. Good location. Cheap price. Easy checkin and parking included. Our room however stank like cigarettes, the bathroom like bleach, and the bed was broken. We were given another room without fuss. This one smelt better, and beds were softer. Beds were made with only sheets and 1 flimsy blanket in the cupboard, so I had to sleep in a jumper and leggings to stay warm. We overlooked an empty pool, which we didn’t need b/c it was raining, but nothing about this in the booking.

Where to begin? I had to call the police because of violent guests next door who were arguing, smashing bottles, banging on all the guest doors, smoking indoors, and playing loud music. I was told the guests were arrested but no one from the hotel checked on the welfare of guests. It was truly the worst experience I’ve had in my life. Also charged the total cost. Avoid this place if you want to feel safe.

The location of his hotel is why this hotel gets four stars. The room was reasonable, clean and satisfactory for the price. My family and I would be happy to return next time in Brisbane.

OMG what a dump. Luckily I didn't pay to stay here as I would have asked for a refund and went elsewhere. I swear there were urine stains on the filthy curtains, and a really bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. The spare blankets were so disgusting I wouldn't even let my pets lay on them. As someone who has travelled extensively around the world I was surprised this hotel was rated as 3 1/2 to 4 stars, more likely a 2 star and that's pushing it.

Why isn't a zero option here? I would choose to give that.a place I would never like to visit again.. Wat a dreadful experience! In the mid of the night people banging the doors, calling us names n we females got so scared that we gathered our luggage in front of the door to prevent anyone from pushing open it.stayed awake the entire night ..police came n tried to sort out...its not at all safe. To cover up things the hotel allowed us 2 days complimentary breakfast which was nothing much to offer. Except a muffin n some tea n coffee (we are vegetarians) Also while unfortunately i had to extend my stay for 2 days..without informing us they deducted amount from my account and charged double without informing us...stating that they had sent us a mail which never reached us..n they didn't bother to inform us verbally While checking out my son forgot two packed brand new posters in the room..which he had chosen to gift to his friends.. He went back all the way from UQ to take them back n reception talked very rudely saying that they must've been thrown and its not the responsibility of the hotel... Wat kind of hospitality is this! Just making a call to the guest informing about their belongings is not at all bothersome.. The chair in the room had torn leather and the mattress was stained....the only fine thing is the location and probably that is why immense advantage is taken by the hotel.

Great hotel and very central. Conference facilities are basic but good value for money. Hotel food is what you would expect. Nothing fantastic but standard stuff. Great bars and cafes around it so good from aspect. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced.

Room was great and it was lovely to be comped a bigger room (even tho it was a bit weird to walk up the fire stairs to get to it but that was fine). Service at the beginning was lovely and pleasant but the lady on the counter when I handed my key in was abrupt and borderline rude (although not to the two young guys who were checking out ahead of me, she had a lovely nice long conversation with them).

Missed late check in due to flight delays. Les was a pleasure to deal with. Very informative and helpful after a long day. Thank you Les 👍🏽 Room, facilities and location met all our needs for a quick stop over.

Stayed for one night in a one bedroom apartment with our two little kids. Can’t complain for the price at all. Quiet, affordable and we asked for the sofa bed to be set up and a cot which both worked great for our baby’s. It really had all it needed, definitely no luxury hotel but for the prize and location it was great and a big bonus was the washing machine & dryer in the room!! Friendly staff and overall we had a great experience. Walking distance to South bank and underground parking. Would stay again.
