Incredible hotel! The team are very accommodating and genuinely nice people. I stayed for a birthday weekend and they sent up a bottle of champagne, and a very sweet card. The vibe of the hotel and the whole experience makes an experience that I’ve never seen anywhere else. The rooms themselves are very nicely decorated. Having extras such as Alexa and a mini bar included is such a nice touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable! I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or gym but had a quick look and both looked modern. Would highly recommend!

Couldn't fault this hotel. As a couple of "old fogies" we were a little apprehensive when we 1st arrived and thought it might be a bit groovy for us. But the staff and the service were exceptional. Just shows that pleasantness, efficiency and good manners never go out of style. Will go back for sure 👏👏

The room was delightful the amenities were fabulous too. Perks perks perks, did I say perks. Lolly buffet, welcome drinks, FREE minibar, continental breakfast. Awesome right? Now let me get to the staff. Everyone I encountered was absolutely amazing. Prior to my stay they were super helpful in organising a few surprises. Then when I was there Captain Kirk ensured it was the best birthday ever. Terrific front desk staff. Can we be friends? I will forever recommend this hotel and probably will try and stay at the rest of the Ovolos

Possibly the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The location was great, room was large and all the freebies were amazing. But the staff really made it - we had amazing and friendly service the whole time. Totally recommended

What an absolute treat Ovolo was! I couldn’t fault our experience and have nothing but high praise. The Ovolo team were incredibly helpful, kind and generous, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and my husband (whose birthday we were celebrating) felt special. Facilities were beautiful and our room was daily maintained to a very high standard. The mini bar, breakfast and valet were all wonderful little touches to make our stay even more delightful. What can I say? I booked a surprise one night getaway for my partner & I on Friday 3 September 2021 (a rarity with 4 teenagers, an elderly Mum to care for & a shift working nurse!)….We were blown away with the attention to detail & care given by the staff at Ovolo Fortitude Valley…with short notice they went above & beyond (room upgrade, caring service, champagne, cute personalised note, rose petals, oh the rose petals, spa bath salts, free mini bar, munchies & a room with a mini balcony!!! All of you made our stay a wonderful memory for us. Have stayed here Twice and both times were fantastic! The staff are truly friendly and amazing service. The freebies thrown in as part of the “staycation” packages are very generous! The hotel itself is well presented with an artistic flair. The room was nice, although noted there was stains on our bedroom floor area of the room. Not a dealbreaker at all. Overall it’s really nice and I’d highly recommend staying here.

I liked the hotel a lot. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet, but also a lot of fun. The staff were quite helpful in making recommendations and the front desk staff were friendly. My critique is that some of the advertised freebies weren't great. The free happy hour drink was a white wine that was either awful or had gone off, but the bartender didn't seem open to any feedback on this. You should still go, but I would skip the free happy hour drink and just go pay for a drink you will enjoy somewhere else nearby.

Best room ever. Very comfy bed. Free mini bar, and room service from your choice of 3 restaurants was hard to knock back. Haha. Too many good things to state in one review. We will be back for sure. 👍👍

Do not stay in room 401 (or any room ending in 'x01') as it is directly next to the lift and you'll be hearing other guests, and party-goers, come on and off the lift all night. We booked here for a relaxing night away but left exhausted with 1-2 hours of sleep due to the noise until early hours of the morning. In hindsight we should have gone to front desk and requested a new room, but at the time we were tired/settled and hoped it would quiet down eventually - not the case!

Have been to this hotel twice now and both times have been fantastic. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are clean and a great size, everything works and the top up of the drinks mini bar is awesome. The location means you can walk to most places. Lots of places to eat right at your door step, we will be back.

I am really happy to checked-in here they provided a comfortable and convenient stay for our business trip. Large, super clean, well-equipped meeting rooms, and courteous staff made it a productive visit. The view from our room was beautiful. Very nice restaurant and great food. Fantastic service and very helful staff. Highly recommended.

Outstanding hotel, amazing price considering the quality. A $300 room here is as nice as the $800 rooms at the W that I’ve booked, and the staff are fantastic. Thank you Kirk for making our stay so incredible! Definitely the only place we book these days.

We had the most amazing time here! I booked the Ovolo for my wedding weekend. From the get go, Adrian went above and beyond to ensure that my rooms were suitable for my bridesmaids, groomsmen and for myself and my husband-to-be. He was always prompt with my many email queries, and ensured I had the best price. When we arrived at the hotel, we were very taken care of by Kirk, Tavii and Camille. They always had a smile ready, and they were happy to help with any and all requests- from fixing our room keys to bringing me a forgotten tooth brush. We had 6 rooms booked with many levels of detail involved, and the Ovolo team made it a breeze. The champagne and hand written card when we arrived for the night before our wedding was a lovely touch, as was the champagne, flower petals and lollies in the suite after the wedding! And the Rockstar Suite is insane! We will be back FOR SURE. So much love for this space.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel and we found the place very accommodating, I must say the service was impeccable, thank you captain kirk and his colleagues that assisted. They even allowed a late check out when given the opportunity but we ended up staying the night since our jetstar flight was cancelled. Definitely will be back!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Ovolo last weekend for our anniversary. Daniel and all of the team were absolutely wonderful to deal with from start to finish and made the occasion that much more special. Great location in the heart of the valley and only minutes on foot to the James St precinct. Not to mention spacious well appointed rooms and a killer rooftop pool. Would not hesitate to recommend.

What a great place to stay, the attention to detail is amazing. The foyer is cool and quirky, as were the rooms. Its the little things from the free mini bar to the free calico laundry bag with cute little sayings. Rooftop pool was great and a cute little gym. They also had a little bag with lollipops and health bars and little packet of chips. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved our stay.

Outstanding . From the first phone call booking the room at short notice due to a cancelled flight the service was superb . Once we arrived the hotel staff are fabulous and friendly , the interior of the hotel beautiful with great touches . So impressed . Great breakfast . Was fantastic. Even when we had issues with our keycard the staff were great. The free minibar is a cool feature. The staff are dressed so impecably they add a lot of class. Highly recommend for artists and creative types. Loved it.

Ovolo exceeded my expectations. Stayed for one night and had a very good stay. Room was spotless! Loved the spa bath and little touches like bath salts. Mini bar was a welcome perk and loved having a few snacks and the sweet bar! Ordered room service which took less than 15mins! Perfect Used the pool as it was 36c outside! Very nice and refreshing. I think they need a bar or drinks up on the rooftop. The “scan and order” wasn’t available on a Friday (weird!) and it said “ask staff if you want to order drinks” but we didn’t see any staff for the two hours we were up there and weren’t going to go down to reception in our swimmers. Anyway, overall a great stay and I’d highly recommend. I’ll be returning next time I need to stay in the city.

Excellent stay! Kirk on the front desk was amazing. Everything was great and the included breakfast was fantastic. Only small issue is $60 for parking is pretty steep. Aside from that highly recommended.

This is the best hotel experience I have ever had. The service is unbelievable, the staff are just so attentive but fun. Also as you will see everywhere once you stay here but ...FREE MINI BAR!!! Coke, Coke 0, OJ, red bull 2 beer, red and white wine, spring water & they restock it daily and often will just send up extra drinks. They are very hip and can recommend the most fun places to visit in the neighborhood or City or even Aus in general. I extended the stay becuSe the rooms the pool the sauna and the gym (with option to go to full fitness club for free) just make this a must destination. Very safe with a 24 hour front desk

We were very happy to have chosen Ovolo The Ballet for a couple of nights in Brisbane. First impressions were excellent after being given the warmest of welcomes by Kirk which was very much appreciated after a rubbish journey from the airport thanks to works on the airtrain line. Our large king room was fresh, clean, spacious and well maintained. The free mini bar, bag of treats and sweet station are all lovely touches but do not outshine the fact they have the basics nailed. For the sake of complete objectivity we did find trying to connect to the WiFi a little slow on a couple of occasions, and there were areas of tiling around the rooftop pool which needed some maintainance attention and therefore seemed at odds with high standards across the rest of the hotel. However these did not deter us from wishing we'd stopped in Brizzie - and at Ovolo The Valley - a bit longer.

The atmosphere of such nice and helpful people is so contagious! Throughout our time, people were more than willing to suggest bars/things to do and also assist us when our internet was not working in our room. In the rooms everything is carefully thought of for guests. Plus who doesn’t love a free mini bar?!

A fantastic night away at Ovolo Fortitude Valley. A gorgeous, well-appointed room with no detail left unaddressed - from the goodie bag, free mini-bar and quirky details on all the communication...even down to the toiletries. We loved our stay.

Great rooms- clean, modern and fun! Great service- especially from Jay who has gone above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Travelled with a baby which means lots of bags and microwaving food, Jay helped us all the way with a smile on his face. Phenomenal service and attention to detail which is rare to find these days.

A funky, clean, and courtesy hotel. Loved our stay. We were in a Large Spa room because ... sometimes you just need a long soak in a spa tub! And this did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was ample, and the in-room mini bar and loot bag were wonderful touches and fully enjoyed! Haha. Highly recommended. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Check in was great and service was attentive. Rooms were spacious and well thought out. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Mini bar is included. Pool was on the smaller side but it’s more a lap pool. Sauna was a pleasure. Resturant on site is ok was unaware it was vegan which was a surprise when I asked for bacon. Location is great.

Unfortunately, my husband and I had a very disappointing stay at Ovolo The Valley. We selected a four-night Luxury Escapes package for our honeymoon in early January and were disappointed from beginning to end - to the extent that we actually enquired with Luxury Escapes as to whether we would be able to transfer our package to another hotel. The hotel itself is lovely - immaculately clean with fun, themed decor - and in a fantastic Fortitude Valley location, a short walk to James Street and a short Uber to the CBD. However, for us, that was the extent of the positive experiences. We had advised the hotel that we were staying at Ovolo for our honeymoon. My sister also rang up to advise the hotel. However, throughout the four days that we were there, not one staff member acknowledged our recent marriage or honeymoon. There was no special turndown service, no card in our room - hardly a five-star hotel experience. So many missed opportunities for the hotel to earn return customers. Perhaps they justify the lack of service with the free minibar? (Which was not restocked daily.) In addition to the disappointment we experienced over our honeymoon: - There are only four pool beds so if it's a hot day (quite common in Brisbane) and you would like to use the pool, there is no where to sit if all the pool beds are taken. - There is no pool service or bar. We were advised to call reception/room service from the gym to order a cocktail but the phone rang out every time we tried. - The gym could hardly be called a gym. No treadmill and only just enough space to be used by one person at a time. - We waited an hour for fresh towels to be delivered by reception/housekeeping. - Dirty dishes from a room service meal for the room next to ours were left outside our door for almost a full day. - The minibar was not restocked daily. - Barista coffee was not included in the breakfast package, which seems unusual for a five-star hotel. Nespresso pods were provided to make your own. - Limited selection for breakfast (cold hard-boiled eggs) unless you wanted to pay more to order from the a la carte menu - again, this seems strange for a five-star hotel. - Upon checking out, we were not asked about our stay or whether we would like assistance with our luggage/calling a taxi/Uber. We were hoping to be able to provide our feedback in person rather than writing a review but we were not given the opportunity. We were not even given the courtesy of a farewell. This was the final straw and we immediately contacted Luxury Escapes to express our disappointment. To top it all off - when we communicated our feedback to the hotel via Luxury Escapes, the response we received from the manager was defensive and unapologetic, indicating to us that they must receive this sort of negative feedback regularly. The manager even had the audacity to lie to Luxury Escapes, saying that they had recognised our honeymoon with a bottle of sparkling wine. I can confirm we received no complimentary sparkling wine and would not have been so disappointed with our experience had our honeymoon been acknowledged in this way (or in any way at all!). The manager also advised Luxury Escapes that there is a fully equipped gym off site - however, we were never informed of this throughout our stay. In summary, Ovolo The Valley is probably fine for a business trip if all you are after is a clean room to sleep in - but we would urge everyone to reconsider booking Ovolo The Valley for any other sort of holiday or special occasions and certainly not your honeymoon. We only had one chance to enjoy our honeymoon and we are so disappointed that our experience did not live up to our (very standard) expectations. We could have booked any number of five-star Brisbane hotels but unfortunately we chose Ovolo The Valley. Too many missed opportunities to count. As far from a "Luxury Escape" as you could possibly get without staying in a motel. Lesson learned the hard way.

One of the best places I've stayed! The room was big and had everything you'd expect, but what made it was the amazing customer service, the free mini bar, Spotify and Chromecast and the free bottle of "happy anniversary" bubbles. They made us feel special and welcome. Will definitely be back!!

I thought the styling was quirky and interesting which is what attracted us to the place and the location was a short walk from James St which was great. It went downhill from there. We got there after 2pm and the room wasn’t ready so we had to occupy ourselves for 15mins at a nearby cafe, checkin was at 2pm. The room smelt mouldy and we could hear the shower running next door from our bed. The stay was a Xmas gift and the breakfast was paid for as an extra but it was not worth paying for as it was a bit ordinary. Not much variety and coffee machine was hard to work. Would probably not stay there again.

I was blown away! I have stayed at a few 5 Star Hotels and Resorts - The Ovolo is up there as one of the best places I have stayed. The rooms are beautiful, funky & fresh. I stayed here as a bit of a treat to myself for my birthday and I am really happy that I did. The staff are really what makes this hotel as amazing as it is. We have all dealt with customer service people who are robotic, they're pleasant enough - it seems fake or a put on though. Not at The Ovolo - everyone one I dealt with was genuine, friendly and engaged - they honestly seem interested in me and making sure that my one night was exemplary. Obviously there are the bonuses of the free mini-bar and the free snacks. I told a friend that the mini-bar was free. Are you sure that it was free? Really sure? Yes ok it's worked into the room rate - to be honest though - The Ovolo isn't that badly priced and FYI book direct through their website - I got a better deal through Ovolo Hotels (and they promise this) than I did looking at booking.com and agado. I was given a complimentary upgrade to a large room (I'm pretty sure it's bigger than my first apartment) and yes I was amazed - honestly these things don't happen to me - it was honestly very much appreciated. I know I'm gushing... it's deserved! Seriously if stay here! I was going to steal the little "FUN' decoration!!! ;) It honestly is an amazing hotel in the perfect spot.

This is a sensational hotel - after having my flight cancelled at 6pm I contacted Ovolo in hope of a room. James from the front desk was amazing, they had someone check out early and he offered to have the room prepared. When I arrived the girl on check in was friendly and check in was very easy. The rooms are large, quirky and well appointed, I particularly enjoyed the free mini bar and the spa bath. I liked the small above and beyond touches like the sound bar which is enable with Alexa and the funky sign “hey Alexa play that funky music”. I love a hotel with a comfy bed but also love a hotel with thick block out curtains which Ovolo provides - so you get a great nights sleep. Location is excellent especially easy to get to the airport. Highly recommend the Ovolo and so grateful to James and the team for going above and beyond - many thanks.

WOW! Service was amazing, room was fantastic and the location perfect! We travelled with our 2 little dogs and they were welcomed with open arms and spoiled with treats and toys! Definitely recommend this place if you are traveling with fur babies. The restaurant downstairs is amazing and breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Lots around to choose from too if you want to eat elsewhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of little extras that just make it feel special. I will define back with the fur babies!

Such a wonderful staff, caring and helping with any issue. Rooms were very clean and cosy. The highlight of our stay was the two vegetarian restaurants that were part of the hotel. Beautiful breakfast. We would definitely come again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

First time there. Unbelievable hotel. The atmosphere was electric. The staff were fantastic. Where they are situated is like a fairy land at night. These people could not do enough to make our stay more bareable under the circumstances. The bonus was they are pet friendly and our little guy was able to stay with us in the same luxury we were in. I would never hesitate to go back next time we have to go to Queensland. Special mention to IRENE she was brilliant.

Room was decent but the service was quite poor. Had bags of rubbish accumulate everyday of our stay and was never taken when the room was serviced daily. And the only bag that was taken was a bag full of new clothes, lingerie and food with no rubbish in it whatsoever. When we informed reception about the bag being taken they were able to return our bag back to our room thankfully but then we were told we shouldn't have made it look like rubbish and they wouldn't have taken it(and that whole time, there were bags with takeaway meals from previous days newr the door and not one rubbish bag was taken the whole stay). Quite embarrassing service.

Do not waste your time or your money. Several hotels in Brisbane will provided better service. Originally booked a large spa bath room but had to reschedule due to flooding. When I rebooked I was told the difference between the credit and the new price was $70 which was completely fine. When we checked in the staff were very rude and advised the price difference was $79 when I was charged the difference was $82.60. I asked about parking and despite paying over $400 for a room was advised the parking was an additional $45 per night. The room was fine, nothing special. The spa bath is very small for 2 people. No robes or slippers are provided. The shower head also fell off and hit my partner on the head when showering the next morning. We went for breakfast the next morning and was told the entire breakfast menu was complimentary. We ate the buffet and ordered scrambled eggs. When we checked out at no point were we asked how our stay was, which was disappointing as we wanted to provide feedback. The concierge advised she needed to charge the difference again, despite having already charged me the previously day. When I advised of this, she told me the previously charge had been refunded even though it hadn't. We were also told that the breakfast was not complimentary and we needed to pay. We disagreed with this and eventually were told it was included and we left. On our way home we were contacted again to say the breakfast was not included and we needed to pay for breakfast. When my partner called back, we noticed the amount had already been deducted from our bank account. The amount was eventually refunded and were told as a favour, the amount would be waived this time. Not worth the hassle!

Ovolo The Valley was an amazing place to stay. Unique and quirky decor with great attention to detail and all kinds of complimentary goodies (snack bag, mini bar, candy bar) made for a very enjoyable experience. Facilities were great as well, and customer service was excellent. Can't recommend highly enough!

Planning with less than 12 hours notice and without a set plan I was delighted with the Ovolo the Valley from the moment I pulled up. It really wasn’t one person, but the entire team from the restaurant and bar to front of house that has made this stay immensely enjoyable. As I entered the reception or bar, both myself and my dog were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome, filled with happiness, excitement (definitely for the dog) and above all else sincerity. This hotel group really goes above and beyond to make your stay feel like a home away from home.

This is probably hands down the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The vibe is unreal, the rooms are luxurious and comfortable, all the little touches around the hotel referencing pop culture, music & art makes the place so fun. The Alexas in the rooms playing classic rock & pop upon entry is a nice little welcome. Every staff member has been so lovely, wonderful & welcoming and makes the stay so pleasant. Upon arrival we found my booking had been incorrectly cancelled by my travel agent, but it was fixed up immediately without any hassle. I would stay here again & again & again, and recommend it to everyone.

Clean rooms, FREE mini bar and snack pack! These guys are taking on some of the AirBNB hosts out there. Good service. Downtown location with great restaurants in the area. Only reason I didn't put the location higher is its not on a beach or something like that, so all relative to what you're looking for.

This place is the bomb. Quirky, pretty and comfy. I moved in for a week and it was great. They upgraded me when I said I needed a super quiet room to work in. The staff are so kind and helpful. Nothing is to hard. They have washing facilities which is neat. It’s in a great spot in the valley. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The goodie bag and mini bar for free is the icing on the cake. They swap things out for you if you would prefer more wine to beer etc.
