One
of
the
best
hostel/boarding
house-style
places
for
indigenous
Australians
I've
stayed
in.
The
place
is
well-maintained,
the
staff
are
very
polite
(but
can
also
be
stern
if
necessary),
the
rooms
are
clean
with
minimal
wear
and
tear,
ensuite
toilets
and
showers,
cleaning
equipment
and
free
laundry
facilities
provided
along
with
3
meals/day,
meals
also
prepared
and
stored
for
after-hours
students/workers.
It's
mixed-gender
and
kids
are
allowed.
The
maximum
stay
is
12wks/3mths
with
weekly
room
inspections,
so
it's
basically
what's
called
"supported
medium-term
transitional-accommodation",
to
encourage
residents
into
a
routine
for
when
they
move
on.
It
has
helped
me
a
lot
with
my
college
studies,
and
I
will
probably
miss
this
place
when
I
go.
The
rent
is
very
reasonable
(especially
considering
meals/board
and
utilities
are
included
with
free
Wi-Fi
around
the
corner
at
Orleigh
Park
ferry
terminal)
and
there
is
no
bond
but
it
would
be
best
to
arrange
it
to
move
on.
Definitely
a
great
place
for
those
in
need.
