Going to this coffee shop is like walking into a friends place. It’s welcoming beyond beliefs the service is outstanding and the pastries are on point. It is a must try. I truely could not recommend Vi’s (the owner who is BEYOND this world lovely the kind of person who you get to know and become friends with) little business any more strongly. Ps her coffee will leave you buzzing 😍

A quick stop at Kit Gloves and grabbed two coffees as well as doughnuts and one sourdough. Unfortunately, the coffees were not for us. We just did not like them. They were sitting more on the bitter side. The nice lady who served us did offer sugar but we never have sugar in our coffee. Maybe it would have been better with sugar in it. If I were to rate it, I would give it a 2.5 out of 5 for the coffee beans they used for our coffees. As for the sourdough, we have no idea if they were baked at the cafe or somewhere else, but it is damn fine. I got a multi-grain one and just had a couple slices. It was divine. As we haven’t tried the doughnuts yet, we cannot make a comment. Service wise, the lady who served us was quite friendly and bubbly. We felt really welcomed. In general, I will give Kit Gloves 4 stars for the service and food. Thanks for the experience.

Amazing. Absolutely incredible coffee, delicious baked goods and heaps of amazing retail: ceramics, honey, cards and beans from Proud Mary & Passport. Combined with the most friendly and personable owner ever (Vee is the best!) Easily one of the best Cafes of Brisbane.

Is it a coffee shop or the smallest community centre on the northside? The coffee is a delicious but it is a small part of why people line up and cluster around this hole-in-the-wall cafe. Vel encourages the chat, whether she is sharing her own gossip or joining in with conversations between neighbours. Watching the kids and puppers grow up, one beautiful Brisbane day after another, the magic of a true local cafe. Fresh coffee, donuts and pastries along with stories from local faces.

First time I went to Kit Gloves today. I've always passed by them, but never had time or thought about dropping in before. The owner was actually closing up, but she was still happy to make me a couple of coffee drinks, and even included some croissants on the house! Her kid offered me a free juice as well (with mum's approval of course, lol). A very friendly and bubbly family business, and I throughly enjoyed my iced coffee. It was smooth, but I might get some extra sugar thrown in there next time, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, my bad! I'll have to drop in again one day soon when I get the time. Thanks for the tasty goods!

The cutest coffee shop in Gordon Park! V fosters such a strong sense of community with her kind nature & friendly disposition, and makes a killer cup of coffee - the highlight of my morning.

Hands down, THE best black coffee in Brisbane! I’ve been dragging my feet to share this review, because when you find a little gem like this, you don’t want to share it hahaha but the people need to know. Serving up Proud Mary, from Melbourne, the owner Velane knows her stuff & the love shines through in her coffees. There is an ever rotating selection of single origins & some of the most delicious little treats from Bella & Tortie.

We've been coming here regularly for 3+ years now and not had better coffee since, regularly stocked with high quality whole beans to purchase - with some amazing recommendations from V! Recommend to anyone who appreciates friendly conversation and very high quality coffee, make this a regular stop, with your dog of course.

Vee is a great barista and knows her craft well. She is very friendly and amiable to everyone who enters her business. The coffee and treats she has are excellent, plus a very nice range of beans and coffee accessories for sale.

It's always a pleasure to come for coffee and a chat. It's a small, one-person operation and the focus is not on a quick production line, but on friendly conversation and excellent coffee. If you like your coffee with a bit of taste and enjoy being part of a community, this is absolutely the best place to be. The bread and pastries are excellent too!

Well, this is a new discovery for me, and im so happy to find this small specialist coffee corner this part of the town! Had a flat white with oat milk, and it made a perfect start of the day! So good!!

Such rude behaviour by the staff owner who literally ignored my friend and myself for 2-3min without acknowledging us, before begrudgingly taking my order, refusing any civil niceties before she walked out after I paid without a single comment or thanks. The coffee tastes far worse with such lack of humanity. Fail.

We love the walk to this cafe with our dog. We traverse Stafford Rd to get to it and whilst other coffee shops are closer this is our new fav. The service is always so friendly and the coffee is always excellent. Vi has alternate milk such as macadamia and coconut, and my partner tells me the pastries are great (just not gf). We will keep coming back when we have the time for morning walks with our puppy.

Great coffee, great snacks - some are gluten free 🥰. The best part though is the vibe. Visiting Ve is a treat, she makes you feel special and like one of the family. Your dog is always welcome even if they are a little naughty (my dog is very naughty).
