A Hidden Gem Stumbled upon Wine & Larder in Ashgrove and wow, what a find! Their small plates menu is on point, and they've got a kickass lineup of cheese and meats. They don't just make food; they make food that you'll remember. Think European style wine bar with an easy-going touch. It’s got this cool, classy feel without being stuffy. Perfect for date night, or just relaxing with drink and friends. But what really sets this place apart is Mark, the owner and sommelier. He knows his wines like the back of his hand, and it shows in the awesome wine list he's put together. His team also deserves a shout out as they are super attentive and add to the great atmosphere. In a nutshell, Wine & Larder is a top-notch spot that won't break your wallet. Can highly recommend

Effervescence of joy! We really enjoyed our dinner Friday night. Mark and his team have got a sensational neighbourhood gem for us to enjoy. Amazing wines - my favourite the mont-redon gigondas 2017 The steak & fish mains accompanied with the broccoli were simply delicious! Dessert the pecan caramel tart was divine finished off with a cheeky Berta Amaro If you are like us and drive past wondering everyday - do yourself a treat and go enjoy yourself. You won’t be disappointed

My Husband and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary at Wine & Larder, which was made memorable by the incredible service, food and wine. The setting is beautiful, the staff go above & beyond to ensure your experience is perfect. They are happy to share their wine knowledge so your wine compliments your meal, which made our experience so much better. The food & wine were all delicious! A perfect midweek date or weekend gathering of friends. Highly recommended.

I was enticed by their midweek “Wine Down Special” which was fantastic value for money. We had our dietary restrictions catered for and waitstaff were accommodating. The sommelier was a wealth of knowledge, providing education on our chosen wine. The food was well presented and we were left content. I would say the venue is more suited to wine and tapas as opposed to a restaurant dinner. Nonetheless a hidden gem in Ashgrove out of the hustle and bustle 💫🍷

Great quaint venue in the suburbs - very attentive knowledgeable staff & service. We had special dietary requests which were diligently taken care of by the chef - food was great and a good extensive wine list. Must try Tofu Cheesecake. We'll be back!

Had a fantastic date night here last night. The service was wonderful and friendly, the food was balanced, interesting, seasoned and flavourful. It also came out very fast and the wine was delightful! Thank you so much for the whole team, we will be back.

The place is nice, but the waiter didn’t have a clue about the food or wine. Somebody didn't show up yet whoever serves is supposed to know what they the place offers. In relation to the wine, I found it extremely expensive. The food was nice and the price reasonable.

A treasure of a place in Ashgrove. So good to have a chic local wine and food bar with a choice of a couple of craft beers on tap as well as cocktails. An interesting innovative menu of small dishes kept us happy. A place to return to frequently.

We had a great experience here. The food was beautiful with gluten free options, the wine choices are very good and we had a fantastic waitress who was very attentive, informative about the menu and wine. She even brought me fresh glass for a refill. Small detail but noticed and appreciated. Not many places would go to that trouble. Will definitely go back.

Great little wine bar! Beautiful wines that can be matched to some lovely (and yummy) share plates. Mark (sommelier and owner) is very knowledgeable about the wines without being pretentious! Friendly service, highly recommend!

What a fabulous experience. Loved the presentation of each dish, and learning about the different choices of wines from various regions. The knowledge of Mark, sommelier, was interesting and educational. I ordered Pork Collar and my mouth had a party! The food was amazing, thanks chef! Beautiful, moody and classic decor, gorgeous plates. We will be back! *edit We returned! This time I chose Coffin Bay oysters, perfectly matched with Mark's recommendation. We are so lucky to have your beautfiul restuarant here. Thank you.

A real wine bar with great food. The wines by the glass is super interesting and each one outstanding. Mark is great at explaining each wine. Wine & Larder shines as one of the best true wine bars in Brisbane. Not to be missed!

This place is the perfect combination of being relaxed and down to earth while serving amazing food and wine. Mark's wine knowledge is vast and I love listening to his descriptions then trusting him what to try. I've never been disappointed. Suits a date night or dinner with the girls.

We had nice night of tapas plates for a quiet birthday get together with friends. Wine & Larder offered generous plate sizes and an ecclectic wine list. I feel the menu could be fleshed out a bit, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Try the potatoes and the croquettes. There was a nice list of wines by the glass on the list to choose from and decent list of international bottles. The service was friendly and attentive whilst not being intrusive. Recommended.

“Sensational” I’m not a wine drinker but that could all change now. The wine Mark recommended for each of the meals was amazing. The meals were delicious. We went for a surprise dessert recommended by Mark prepared by Gus and Connor and it was incredible. Everyone works very well together. Thank you so much for looking after us. We will return.

Staff were fantastic. The food was delicious. And when we asked for a wine suggestion from the owner, he knew our food order and was able to provide a matching wine, along with a back story to the wine. If you ask, I swear he will know how the winemakers children are going at school. Highly recommend coming here.

This wonderful venue is a gift that keeps on giving. Cannot recommend it highly enough. On the coldest night in Brisbane this year we celebrated my husband's birthday. We were kept warm by the blankets provided, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff and the outstanding food and wine. Living in The Gap we are so lucky to have this place on our doorstep. Wine and Larder is quite simply sheer joy.

Highly recommended dining experience. Tucked away in West Ashgrove. Sommelier and owner Mark expertly guided us through some fine wine and food choices. Thumbs up.

We recently met friends for dinner at the Wine & Larder and the evening did not disappoint. The food, service and wines were all of exceptional quality. Mark takes the time to chat with his guests and provide recommendations as needed. We will definitely be returning to this great venue.

Great choice of wine from a knowledgeable sommelier. Nice ambiance in the bistro and most excellent desserts and cheese boards. Limited food menu but all the better for the food quality & wonderful to have somewhere that takes bookings after 8pm!!

What a suburban gem! We came back to Wine & Larder on the weekend, hadn't eaten there since previous management in 2020. The wine suggestions were out of this world, food fresh and tasty. Atmosphere classy and relaxed. We will be back! Keep up the good work!

A hidden gem that we found in Ashgrove during our holiday in Brisbane. Comprehensive wine list, tasty share plates (loved the duck rillette in particular), and attentive and friendly service. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Exceptional little bistro tucked away in the inner west. Service was top notch, the owner served us and made great suggestions re food and wine and made us feel like we had all the time in the world. Food was amazing (as was the wine). Unpretentious but somehow effortlessly chic.

No doubt an extensive and interesting wine list, except you don't find out how expensive almost all of the wines are until you arrive, because the list on the website doesn't have prices. I get that the menu is supposed to be matched with the wines and there are a lot of share plates, but the lack of cohesion in the food menu was off putting to most in our group. Food was certainly okay if haphazard. Not sure if I would go back. Nice and ultra knowledgeable owner and wait staff, though.

Very cool wine bar in Ashgrove! Myself and my partner had the degustation with matching wine here. Firstly, the fit-out here looks great. It's definitely the coolest looking place in suburban Ashgrove. Secondly every wine was excellent and matched the food perfectly. Favourites were the Hently (Victoria) reisling and the Italian Soave. The food here was also very good, but perhaps not quite as good as the wine. Favourites were the corn bread starter and the lemon meringue dessert. The staff are also very friendly and are experts in the restaurant's wines and food. After the meal had a wine in the Alleyway bar, which is also very cool.

My partner and I visited for a date night. It was our first time at Wine & Larder. Staff were lovely and the food was great. I don't eat gluten and my partner has an intolerance to diary. The team was very accommodating. Such an extensive wine list. Great vibes all round. Will visit again!

A wonderful venue for an end of week (or any day of the week) wind down. The wine selections that Mark made for us were really enjoyable and beautifully matched the food choices we made, which were delicious. Not our first visit and definitely not our last!
