A friend and I booked a Laneways and Cafes tour with Walk Brisbane a couple of weeks ago. It was great! Our guide showed us some hidden Brisbane laneways and we visited three laneway cafes during our tour. The coffee was all so different and really yummy. All of the baristas we spoke to were so happy to chat to us and tell us about the coffee we were drinking. The tour went for almost three hours and was really good value. We wouldn’t have found these places if we hadn’t been shown them. Thanks Walk Brisbane!

Excellent on all counts. Robyn guided me on a one-on-one 3.5 hour walking tour of Central Brisbane 8th December 2023. She brought to life to this American the vibrancy and history of this beautiful city. In every instance, Robyn took a moment and shared the numerous public art .... and the stories behind the art. Highly recommend Robyn. She's top knotch!

I can’t recommend Lee-Anne and Walk Brisbane highly enough, but I’ll have a go. Lee-Anne was recommended to me by my daughter who’d gone on two walks with them some three or four months earlier. To my amazement, Lee-Anne remembered my daughter and mentioned her several times during our walk saying things that had caught her attention! The walk on the morning of the only free day I had in Brisbourne was fully booked. My disappointment turned to delight when Lee-Anne offered to run an additional walk for me in the afternoon! I found the time with Lee-Anne to be educational, interesting and fun. The term ‘enter-trainer’ springs to mind. I found Lee-Anne’s approach, which flows through Walk Brisbane where Lee-Anne is Director, to hit the perfect balance of professionalism while being matched to the interest of the client. Whilst I learned much, Lee-Anne was able to dig deeper in areas of particular interest to me. Lee-Anne’s philosophy is based on client empathy and is more like a conversation than a lecture. No loudhailers or tour guide flags here! Group size is kept to a maximum of eight people so everyone receives personal attention and feels comfortable asking questions. In my case, the group was very small - just me! If I find myself in Brisbane again I’d be sure to book further walks and have no hesitation is recommending Walk Brisbourne to anyone. We had a lovely morning on the Coffee Laneways Tour. Was great to stop in at some hidden gems and have the baristas prepare a personalised selection of coffees for us. Every stop dished up incredible coffee and a unique atmosphere. Gabbi was super friendly, knowledgeable and her passion for the city really shone through. Even being a Brisbane local, I still took away so many fun facts about the city and had my eyes opened to artwork I would usually walk straight past. Would definitely recommend!

Walk Brisbane is a great way to get to know the city of Brisbane. The tour guides are passionate about their city, and have a wealth of knowledge. They give a great local insight into a range of different aspects of Brisbane, taking tour groups down laneways, past heritage listed buildings, and down memory lane during the tour. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Brisbane, or who call Brisbane home!

I have lived in Brisbane for nearly 25 years. My cousins are visiting for a short period from the UK and I was trying to work out what we could do. We decided to take a tour with Walk Brisbane Tours. I think I learnt just as much as my cousins and went to places I didn’t know existed, saw street art I never knew was there, heard amazing stories of people whom first came to Brisbane, drank great coffee at a cafe I would never had found up the back of a lane way (best coffee in Brisbane). Thanks for a great entertaining 3 hours. Would highly recommend this tour for visitors and locals!!! It has a bit of everything for everyone.

We had a great walk, thank you. Our guide shared historical knowledge as well as recognising our interest in Art showed us some great street art. We now have places to go back to for lunch dinner and coffee. We have been to Brisbane many times but feel we understand it more now. Nga mihi

A small group of us went on a Thursday night bar tour; Lee-Anne was fantastic working around Covid-19 restrictions to still provide some great venues to visit. Even though Brisbane is our home city, we went to venues that none of us had been to before. The pace was good with just the right amount of time at each venue, the venue owners happily stopped by for a chat about their venue, their history and their range of products. Lee-Anne herself was a wealth of Brisbane information, again we all learned things we did not know about our own city. If you are looking for a fun night out or have friends and family visiting I would highly recommend one of Walk Brisbane’s tours.

Can't believe the door isn't Memphis designed, it ruins the whole experience for me. If anybody ever finds out who made this then I will need to have a word with them. Not happy.

On Friday we spent a very happy 3 hours touring some of the very interesting parts of our city on Walk Brisbane's "City Essentials Tour". Robyn our guide was informative and very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Having lived in Brisbane for 30+ years I was amazed at what an interesting history the city has. We could easily do the tour again. Highly recommended!

We had a fun and informative walk around City Essentials yesterday with lovely guide, Gail. She is a mine of information and showed us details in the nooks and crannies of Brisbane I had missed or never knew, although I grew up here. My husband and daughter, who are less familiar with the history of Brisbane, found it wonderfully colourful and we're certainly keen to do more such tours. Thoughtful touch was Gail including a birthday treat for me at the finish. Thanks Walks Brisbane . I have told many friends and they are booking soon!

We had a lovely time on our walking tour taken by Gail. She told us all about the history of the centre of the city, showed us a lot of the beautiful old buildings, sculptures, a bit of aboriginal history and flood markers etc... She answered all of our questions and recommended restaurants and bars. It really made the city come to life for us knowing more about its history and we would highly recommend it.

It's certainly interesting, I had to do some research afterwards and was surprised to find the artist who made it is a mystery, nobody knows who transformed this Norfolk pine tree into what it is today. It appeared December 2013 when a large section of bark was removed from the tree and a door was found in its place. The door itself is a little under 2 metres tall with blue eyes peaking out of the door and a small door in the bottom left in which you can see a Gollum toy from the lord of the rings through its door window. There's also a metal sign on the door that inscribes, "this tree may now unfold a secret thus far untold. So shake about, wiggle thy bum he may then speak to the chosen one". Maybe it's a clue as to who made it, or maybe its just some fun magic for children's imagination.

Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the Laneways Cafe Tour. I sampled coffee at its best, in ways I didn’t know existed (novice). Warmly welcomed at all the Cafes we visited and even at their busiest they took the time to explain, in depth, what had been prepared for us. Our guide Gabbi, was absolutely lovely! I learnt things about Brisbane and it’s history that I never knew, and I’ve lived here for 35 years! She piqued my interest in our cities street art, so much so I’m determined to uncover all things ‘Blu Xinja’. Thoroughly recommend this experience! 👍😃

We recently completed the City Essentials Tour with our guide Gabbi and what a wonderful experience it was! The tour was a great introduction to Brisbane city and its sites and history....covering important buildings, laneways, historic arcades, churches, gardens and university areas. Gabbi is a terrific guide who shared her knowledge enthusiastically and was so willing to listen to and answer our numerous questions. The walk was leisurely, never hurried with mostly flat, easy footpaths to follow. We covered so many places in the 3 hours...the time just flew! So thank you 'Walk Brisbane' and thank you Gabbi for being such a warm, friendly host and for sharing the obvious love you have for your city. Kind regards Robyn and Chris

Booked this walking tour specifically because the tour I took with Lee-Anne on Monday was fantastic. My daughter has moved to Brisbane and I thought this tour would be great to introduce her to a little Brisbane history and some out of the way cafes in her new city. Did not disappoint. Lee-Anne is fabulous! Highly recommend!!!

The walking tour was a great introduction to Brisbane! We meandered through the oldest parts of the city and heard facts and great stories. Gabbi, our terrific guide, was knowledgeable and engaging and very enthusiastic about her city! In addition to the usual sights, we were taken to hidden gems we would never have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour.

Highly Recommended. Went on the City Highlights tour led by Lee-Anne. The tour provided a good overview of the city including many places / features would otherwise would not have discovered and the guide provided lots of interesting historical information and stories along the way. Also was given great recommendations of other places to visit whilst in Brisbane.

Really enjoyable Art and Design Tour of Brisbane CBD! Our tour guide Robyn was very friendly and knowledgeable, and took us round the city at a good and comfortable pace. We learnt so much from this tour, finding so many hidden gems in and around the CBD we'd never seen before. We will definitely be booking another tour with Walk Brisbane.

Lee-Anne ,the owner of this innovative business was friendly & helpful from first contact booking our Art & Design Tour. She was also our guide where her love & knowledge of Brisbane, recall of history, humorous anecdotes & stories of the amazing hidden or sadly just not noticed art fills our public spaces. We three old fiends, along with Julia, superb photographer & visitor from Germany enjoyed a most informative, relaxing fun morning. What a wonderful time to explore our beautiful city. Highly recommended. Thank you Lee-Anne & Walk Brisbane. Barb, Dot & Marg.

The walking tour of Brisbane city was full of surprises. Gabbi showed us places of intrigue and provided detailed explanations on what we were looking at. Much of what we saw is not easy to discover, or even notice unless it is pointed out. Thank you, Gabbi. The tour was entertaining from start to finish.
