Have been staying at this hotel since the opening and never disappointed. Great facilities, top location and the restaurants/bars are amazing. The management team have created a culture of excellent service and this is a reflection of all the staff in the different departments. Look forward to my next stay at my new home away from home in Brisbane. Keep up the fantastic work crew!! Cheers.

We stayed at Hotel X the week of our wedding. The location is brilliant. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious with great views. But the stand out was really the staff, the staff are absolutely amazing. Special mention to Riley who went absolutely above and beyond for us during our stay.

We absolutely LOVED our stay in Hotel X, Fortitude Valley! The hotel itself is so comfortable AND aesthetically beautiful! In addition to this there are fabulous, friendly staff who were so eager to go above and beyond, to make your stay a great one…particularly Shadelle and Dermot! They always helped out with a big smile at all times! We would love to return sooner than later! Highly recommend!

Really nice hotel. Great service, polite staff. Room service food and breakfast were both nice. Nice firm mattress and decent enough pillows. Good shower and bathrooms. It’s a bit pricey but much better than some other places I’ve stayed around Brisbane.

Hotel X has awesome cleaning staff. The room was functional. Never tried room service. The rooftop bar had good customer service and nice food. Indifferent service in the French restaurant. The location is awesome. It's close to everything.

Lovely hotel in the Valley Area of Brisbane. Probably one of the most comfy hotel beds I have slept in. Staff very helpful. Good roof top bar and pool. Pleasant amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast for diamond elite was good, but being charged for a second coffee I do not think is right.

Haven't stayed here yet but the rooftop bar is a place we frequent. It's gorgeous! With the most amazing view of Brisbane city.going here on a Sunday afternoon and watching the sun set has become a favourite. Also the band that plays here is so good, which was the main reason we started coming here; the "vibe creators" are amazing.

The staff and service at this hotel are superb. About 16 flood victims from my mother’s retirement village have been living at the hotel for more than 4 weeks. The staff - from cleaners, restaurant staff, reception staff and management - are so kind, considerate and thoughtful towards them. They go out of their way to care for these elderly people and to make them feel looked after. The staff are thoroughly decent people and that level of service is what you look for to make a hotel experience wonderful. As a bonus, the views from the roof top pool across Brisbane are amazing and the food at the French restaurant is first class.

Beautiful, stylish hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. However, given the price point, I would expect a certain level of comfort and consistency in the room standards. Upon arrival, there was a very strong sewerage smell emanating from the bathroom drain that did not dissipate. The staff kindly and promptly changed our room but the new rooms' aircon didn't work. We didn't find this out, though, until the middle of the night after a stuffy and fitful sleep and it made the room uncomfortably hot. I felt like Goldilocks trying out the dud bedrooms until it was just right...although we never got it just right...

I stayed on Christmas Eve to have dinner with my friend at Iris. I reserved a terrace suite thinking post dinner drinks on the terrace would be a bit romantic, unfortunately the rain had other ideas 😂 The room was very clean and comfortable, great bed and pillows, the lighting options were excellent as was the automated curtains. Easy and accurate room temp control too. The shower was soooo good! A lovely rain shower head with great water pressure and easy temperature control (often a painful hit and miss in many 5 star hotels!) and the Karl Lagerfeld amenities were nice to use. Staff were all delightful and the valet parking option was appreciated. I’m looking forward to my next visit, hopefully sans rain!

The rooms are really funky and clean! I was worried about road noise being an issue since the hotel is located on Brunswick, but didn't hear a peep. Strongly recommend the rooftop bar for cocktails. Great atmosphere and music.

First time visiting Brisbane and chose hotel x for the rooftop pool and location. Stayed three nights in which breakfast was included each day. Breakfast was more than filling and had a great variety of options to keep things mixed up. Check in and service was absolutely fantastic with promp and quick service and super friendly and accommodating staff. Me and my partner drove up from Sydney and parking was a fair price at $40 a night with unlimited entry and exits. The room was amazing as well super modern and clean with all you would need for a romantic getaway. Loved using the tablet for ordering guest services I don't know why all hotels don't do this, I hate calling up for things personally so it was a nice touch. Ice and guest services was fast and housekeeping did an amazing job! Pool had amazing views but did get quite busy, water wasn't heated so pool can be cold. Recommended sun glasses as the light reflection can be quite blidning. Location is next to so many bars restaurants so you are spoiled for choice! Recommend getting a day pass for the e-scooters and exploring the beautiful Brisbane City! Overall an amazing experience would definitely come back

Just checked out of Hotel X. One of the best places to stay! Amazing location, cocktail on arrival, they were able to give us a generous late check out which was hugely appreciated! Also top roof top pool! We’ll be back!!!

It's a nice clean hotel. Rooftop bar was very stylish with great view. The in house restaurant also great (and surprisingly decent value). I didn't use the pool so can't comment on that aspect. Parking on site was also pretty easy. Bed was very comfortable and excellent shower (with impressive water pressure). Overall room was nice and clean. Minor things that were a bit off putting for me was some of the room space was taken up with shelves of small bottles of alcohol for making cocktails etc, wine and a fully packed minibar fridge (very small size). Which all sounds great but I personally found it to look stylish but feel like wasted space/a bit useless. I had brought my own particular bottle of wine and a few small things to chill and had to basically empty the minibar to get any fridge space to use. Then put all the items back in again before checking out. The room uses tech to control the curtains etc and a few times I found it inconsistent in not opening/closing all curtains correctly. Air con was also a bit hit and miss with not hitting the requested temperature. In saying this I considered the issues to be minor to me and not worth reporting in until I checked out (as I was only doing an overnight stay). Staff seemed genuine in wanting to get these items checked before next guest which seemed attentive. I think there's a bit more style over substance going on but in saying that it was still a very enjoyable place to stay.

We had a great weekend stay at Hotel X! Staff were wonderful, polite and welcoming. Unfortunately there was no parking spots left when we arrived, but the staff organised another option for us which worked well. Breakfast downstairs at Bisou Bisou was good, and the pool area upstairs was lovely and had an amazing view. I would say that the room/bathroom did feel quite small, but it was still comfortable and the style of the room was great. We paid extra for a room with a ‘view’, I was expecting something a little better but all we could see was the pub down below. I saw photos on the website which indicated a better view. Maybe next time! We will likely stay again 😊

Amazing location and modern rooms, inviting a luxurious and welcoming feel. Breakfast is incredible and is recommended. Personally, we were greeted and helped many times by front desk staff member "Lucy". She perfectly carried the hotels professional and inviting feels and made us feel so welcomed and special with her knowledge and her genuine personality. Some of the best service I've received from hotel staff from herself. Will be returning due to the rooms, the food and Lucy!

Great location and friendly staff. Room smelt a bit and the air conditioning doesn’t seem to cool down the room. When exiting the lift at the rooftop bar/pool it looks like a storage area for chairs. A bit odd and you’d think they would find an another place to keep their surplus furniture out of view of the public. The door to the pool area is a bit what I imagine a prison looks like. Why not make a bit of effort regarding the look of the place?

A beautiful weekend stay at Hotel X. My sister and I came up to celebrate her birthday and were greeted by very friendly staff who were kind enough to let us into our room before check in time. The room was spacious and filled with all the extras you could ask for in both the bathroom and the mini bar area. The rooms are very clean and modern, the shower has great pressure and hot water. All that would be suggested from a superficial point of view is a change in the unnecessary canvas images with gaudy glitter and lashes as it detracts from the classiness of the place.

Funky, modern hotel in a great Valley location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the rooftop pool, fantastic views and order a drink via the QR code at your pool table and have it brought to you - service! Highly recommend the Any Excuse package - parking, breakfast and late check out all included.

I recently stayed at Hotel X for my 40th birthday with a bunch of friends. We hands down had the best experience. Dermont was incredible and went above and beyond to help us and give us the 5 star experience. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

After having to make a quick reception venue change, HotelX was more than accommodating and amazing the whole way through. The food was great and the staff outstanding. Would recommend them to anyone

Lux and aesthetical stunning. Loved this hotel, the ambience and interior design is such a vibe. The staff are super friendly and so helpful. The rooftop pool is amazing - those views!!! Bisou Bisou on the first floor is top quality coffee. Then if you feel like a cocktail, Iris rooftop barstaff are amazing! Short stroll from the train station and conveniently close to all the great cafes. Highly recommend!

Clean, Modern hotel in a fantastic location. Unfortunately they seem to be having trouble with their in room air conditioning - the hallway was icy cold but both us and another couple on the fourth floor had rooms around 25C. We were moved to another room on the first floor that was better but still didn't get below 21C.

  • 5/5 Anthony G. 5 months ago on Google
The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars for the location is the degenerative state of fortitude Valley but this hotel is great value in my opinion also very safe and secure and only a short walk to the train station which is only one stop from central station and Queen Street mall . The hotel itself is in close proximity to many great local Valley bars and restaurants , it's the perfect location for a traveller looking for a quality hotel but that bit cheaper the only consideration would be just for families to expect your usual scenery from fortitude Valley which seems these days to be sliding further especially the once beautiful mcquirters centre but there are many other great restaurants and bars very close .

Went to a wedding at “IRIS” the rooftop bar and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the service great, and an amazing location! Would recommend. I did not stay in the rooms so can’t comment on that.

Overall good hotel, rooftop bar is good too. Quite a lot of escorts, but not the end of the world. The stressed out, old and fat F&B Manager that was extremely rude to us and brushed us off to close the pool for private event has no place in this establishment.

We stayed here on Tuesday night and have stayed before, it's a great location for access to the Fortitude Music Hall. I have zero complaints about this hotel except this times experience at the Rooftop Bar. On arrival, we went up for a couple of drinks, and as I use a crutch to assist walking, we sat at one of the comfy lounges instead of a bar stool. We had 2 drinks and ordered some food, all very nice, until halfway through our second drink, the manager, maitre d, whatever he was, came to our table and abruptly told us this was a private area that had been booked. The party had now arrived so we had to leave. I was quite taken aback and said he could have asked us more politely, to which, he just stared at me. "Rude!" was my departing word. Honestly, we could have been given a heads up when we sat there, or even after we ordered food. Nope, we had to take our drinks and move away. I don't dispute the booking of the area, but here's a thought, put up a reserved sign! This man was blatantly rude. Not impressed at all. If not fir him, I would have given 5 stars.

Loved our stay at this hotel for one night last saturday. It was a rewards night and they updgraded us and recognised our Ambassador status with some nice perks and a late checkout. We had an issue in our room with the airconditioning not functioning and when they failed to fix it they upgraded us again to a suite with a balcony and kitchenette. Things do go wrong and it's the way they addressed the problem that made all the difference to how we felt about this hotel. From the the welcome by Andre at the front desk to all the staff on the end of the phone when our aircon broke, they were quick to respond and so pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very nicely appointed with lovely bed linens, plenty of towels, robes, slippers and GHD straightners. The decor is a black and white vibe with splashes of colour. The curtains are automatic which was a nice touch. We didn't get to try Bisou Bisou but we had lunch on arrival at the rooftop restaurant by the pool, Iris. Wonderful food and staff and experience no wonder we had to wait for a table as we hadn't booked. Was worth the wait though! All in all we loved our stay as this place is so close to everything, and we will definitely stay again when we return to Brisbane!

No Booked 3 weeks ahead Promised City view so thought ok fair enough. Promised parking with fee. Ok Arrived at 3pm to be told no parking on premises, almost got valet parking but supervisor came in over the Top and crushed that idea. Drove down the street got fair parking. Checked in once established parking, at this point nice lady at counter who spoke nice but so soft I couldn’t hear had told us the Pool is off limits at 5 pm. There’s more, don’t ever stay in room 108 that room should be a gift for a homeless people for a night you know Help poor person out. No parking No pool No City view This is overrated but take it from me right now before you book. As it turns out my company was paying for the stay but I was not allowing my company to pay $440 for a $100 room. Missed the Christmas party and drove home safe to a beautiful view. Was Promised so much even when on the phone whilst on hold. A few weeks of excitement and build up the a Massive flop. Don’t rate these other reviews seems like a different business all together. X 🤦🏼‍♂️

The hotel felt new and clean. Service was fine, most of the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were good, but nothing special. We stayed in a balcony room and the balcony was kind of a joke, you were just looking into a facade and the only furniture was one lonely chair (they could’ve at least given us two given it’s a room for 2 people..). I think the main highlights would be the pool and the roof top bar, but we couldn’t use the pool as it was raining all the time, but it still looked beautiful and had a great view. We also couldn’t access the rooftop bar since it was closed on Mondays which was the day when we stayed there. Hotel was fine considering the price but I would rather stay somewhere else next time.

My partner and I had to stay overnight at Hotel X after a flight cancellation. The staff received a bus load of people at around 9.30pm and got everyone promptly off to their rooms. They were very helpful and organised. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable and quite stylish, although the art in room 109 was a little creepy because you felt like the faces in the artwork were watching you sleep. Overall my partner and I had a wonderful experience here and would definitely return.

Great location, pretty rooftop pool and restaurant, rooms are functional, clean and comfy! Informed the team we were there on a birthday trip and received a little treat 🥰 Easy access to parking as well. Only issues were water pressure in the shower wasn’t great and the aircon in our room was not much good during the day although it did eventually cool the room down by the evening time. We discussed this with staff and they recommended to close the curtains and see if the aircon would cool the room better then, doesn’t seem to be a strong enough system as the air flow out of the vents was weak despite being on full blast. Otherwise a totally enjoyable stay 👍

Difficult driveway off the street, car parking expensive and difficult in basement. Rooftop bar and restaurant excellent. Rooms not that big and doors to bathroom open into the room and are tough to open.

Love the hotel! Staff are professional and friendly at every encounter. The rooms are lovely. Great design. The food is great and efficient. Rooftop is lovely. Only reason I gave four stars is because they are members of IHG rewards but they are not honouring any promotions that I signed up for. BUT still a great hotel!

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel X. The rooftop bar and pool were amazing, restaurant had some interesting flavours. Staff were friendly. Rooms clean and aesthetic. Quiet rooms. Street was a bit scary to walk on at night

Save your money and stay at a real 5 star hotel. We booked this hotel with high expectations from the reviews and were so excited to have a getaway in Brisbane. Unfortunately it was disappointing from check in and continually got worse. Staff had a lack of communication, lacked unity, we were asked to take our own luggage up to the room, the facilities were horrendous, the upstairs pool had ripped and worn seats, no towels and it just felt extremely unorganised and overall a lack of care. We ended up forfeiting our booking and chose to stay at another hotel in Brisbane. So worth leaving this place behind even though the staff were not accommodating in rectifying our booking. Such a shame, really had great hopes but just a warning do not stay here!

Hotel looks modern and stylish, BUT rooms are dusty and inconvenient. See through bathroom doors just next to the toilet is the worst design ever, unless you are staying alone - no privacy at all. We paid for a room with the terrace, which we didn’t get to use as it was raining all 5 days we stayed there and there’s no option to cover outside area, which is another weakness of design. Breakfast in Bisou Bisou was included but it would be better to have it somewhere else. First 2 days we had an a la cart menu, which was really limited. Then it was changed for a buffet for another 2 days, which wasn’t great either. The next day we were told it’s going back to a la cart… So unorganized and the staff in that restaurant wasn’t friendly.

Disappointing experience. Pool was broken with tiles and couldn't use it for a period of time. Host upstairs questioned foot choice even though they offer cocktails by the pool. Definitely not worthy of being called a 5 star hotel.

  • 3/5 Jason C. 2 years ago on Google
Room was nice enough, clean and well furnished / decorated. Stayed in a suite and to be honest, in my opinion, it was over priced for what it is. Parking was also very expensive. The curtains in the room were broken (they couldn't be closed), so in the morning the sun was way too bright and it was hard to sleep in. Overall, it was comfortable enough and in a good location however I probably wouldn't stay there again.

If you are looking for a bar with a great vibe and amazing rooftop view over the city then Iris at the top of Hotel X is certainly the spot to be. Easy to get to, amazing service from the friendly staff and great tunes all night long. Suited for a big night out or an intimate date over chilling with friends for a chat. A french industrial themed space perfectly matches the vibe and a perfect place to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a few champagnes!

The good, is that it is clean, new ammenities, easy access to Brisbane . Lots of lovely touches if they remember to give them to you . We had no mini bar or snacks, in-fact the mini bar was locked . They did come and put a few thing in when asked . No free parking, $40a night . In room service was a total of three mains and some ice-cream . I booked as my son was having a operation and couldn’t go out to eat and was looking forward to having a meal in . Sadly not to be . Reception staff need a few more lesson if you wish to call it a five star hotel . Very disappointed and will not be back .

  • 3/5 David M. 2 years ago on Google
It's an adequate three point five star hotel. Rooms are small but well enough presented. Did not like the bathroom separated by glass doors and screen. Absolutely no sound proofing.

  • 4/5 Tina R. 2 years ago on Google
A very beautiful, unique and modern hotel. Staff were very friendly, comfy bed, luxurious bathroom. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the fact that it was very hot in our room. The air con was set at 23 degrees and it was very stuffy. We had to call reception to make it cooler twice. The temperature went down a degree and then quickly went back to 23. Eventually we gave up. Please make the temperature more comfortable in the warmer months!! We would love to come back.

Great hotel! It was very new, clean and vibrant. We had a few issues with the air conditioning not working and the water not draining well in the shower. However the staff were very accommodating and attended to our needs, offered us different rooming options and offered adequate compensation. Would definitely stay here again. Great service!

From Antonia in Reservations ( who's help with our Covoid affected booking ) to the friendly staff ar Reception our stay has been excellent. Our room was clean and airy and the Hotel is vibrant and funky. The rooftop bar offers a great night time view of Brisbane. Centrally situated in Fortitude Valley, the Hotel affords easy access to New Farm and the City. Highly Recommended.

Nice location and clean hotel. Rooms are decent and beautifully setup. Rooftop swimming pool and the restaurant/bar is a good place to spend evening after a tiring day. Breakfast is limited but nice cafe with good food . Great ambiance. Overall 5 star for ambiance. Only small negative was that had to call 4 times to reach front office and also nothing complementary is provided in the mini bar.

Me and my friend came to Brisbane for holiday and choose this hotel for our trip. I have to say the room is clean and the facilities are tidy as well. It was nice to stay. HOWEVER, everyone mentioned the bar and pool is amazing and it meant to be public facilities for all hotel guests? We wanna to check out the night views and have some drink there but the staff stopped us and said “sorry the pool is booked by other guests and they paid kinda amount of money.” Alright. It’s fine cuz someone paid for it. BUT why there is no sign to stop the public guest in lobby and in the lift. It’s very disappointed to go upper-floor and being rejected. Unfortunately : /

Place was great except for the food choices. I didn't pick this hotel for the restaurants they have. I also didn't choose it for the party bar on the roof. Was not impressed or interested in either place or the food offered. Would have liked a higher floor room but anything above 6 is either apartments or office space. Mini bar stuff is really expensive too. Wifi worked fine most of the time. Not really high speed though. Bed was comfortable and room decor was modern and trendy. Motorised curtains was nice. Location and closeness to the story bridge was great and 5 minutes to the water edge walking. The staff was really nice and I enjoyed talking to them while waiting on my food delivery.
