The fat, old, red haired lady in the toys section is very rude, asked for some help to see if there is any stock in for a toy and replied with an rude and unnecessary attitude cause I made her do more work and not a single smile throughout the whole altercation. Lady if you do not like to work in retail then leave there’s plenty of others who can get the job done better. Big w management you should keep her at back of house as she is ruining your image.

Great place to shop and grab a bargain. My opinion of Big W has improved greatly over the years.

Although I have been at North Lakes Shopping Centre quite a few times, I have never actually shopped at Big W. And I guess, just associated it with Woolworth. I was therefore amazed at the kind of products they carry. Apart from the obvious, such as clothes for men, women and children, and various manchester items that you'd expect, I found they had a huge range of other items including all the technological wonders that you'd expect to see at such shops as Office Works. The young man who assisted us to find what we were looking for was extremely knowledgeable on what was in the store and helpful in finding it for us. A pleasant experience whether you're looking for something specific or want to just wonder around to see what's out there.

Had such a great customer service experience today! I needed some stationary items for my prize box at school, but had difficulty locating them. The staff member on the floor was very willing to help and had a positive attitude. I wish I had asked for her name because she went above and beyond (getting some items for me from the other side of the store, checking for stock etc). The lady at the self check-out was also very lovely and helpful too. Thanks Big W North Lakes!

Big W has a large range of well priced reasonable quality products including clothes, homewares, toys, apparel, kitchen and basic hardware.

I just walked out due to the woman on the door, asked her for a product, immediately telling me you don't sell it, her face dropped when I said it was online and available at this store, and I walked out Didn't even bother to help or ask, typical. She was kinda old and light blonde hair, turning customers away at the door, real smart

What retailer charges $15 to setup a layby, just to cancel it anyway? While I understand that there are terms and conditions, the fact that I went in to collect and didn't even receive a phone call about an overdue layby is just honestly not good enough for a retailer of your size. No one instore was willing to help me, and no one in the overall Big W call centre had any authority to do the same, directing me back to the store. Never asked for a refund, but just wanted to give you money to pickup my layby. Glad I didn't put much down to begin with. An unfortunate experience, which I will no longer be shopping there again which genuinely upsets me, as I have always enjoyed shopping at Big W.

Had a layby cancelled out from under me without any prior contact and when speaking to management were simply told it was 'too bad I had ample time'. As someone who works in retail customer service I have never been so disgusted at the service provided. No contact was made with me in regards to the layby. What a way for BIG W to make money from unsuspecting customers!!

I totally understand the need to want to close on time coming from retail myself but having to be reminded 3 times how long i have to browse is just irritating. From entering the door "you have 12 minutes", a message over the loud speaker that we have ten minutes ( which is the usual way to be told) to then a lady coming around saying "5 mins left". An "excuse me" wouldnt go astray.

Served by the rudest old lady, no eye contact. Said I was paying afterpay, replied to her colleague about tea, asked how I was paying, I said afterpay, she said yeah that’s card. Like really…

Big W has a good selection of gaming consoles and accessories bulk cleaning products all that u want really good selection of Christmas 🎄 products too

Bought work shorts , hi vis Tees ,some Bonds + Tradie jocks and a pair of steel cap boots and work socks. Awesome quality stuff at an awesome price no need to go anywhere else job done.

Like my review for KMart, I feel much the same about BigW. I dont really like being at the shops if I don't have to be. However, BigW is a good stop if your looking for good priced kids clothes and party stuff. It's not a bad store, the staff are always friendly, but shopping just ain't it for me.

PARTY SECTION- STRATHPINE- A customer service rep lady , I think Lara or Sara (sorry) was AWSOME. Went above and beyond blowing up my “welcome home” balloons, tied them up with flair and even offered a cover carry plastic bag and offered artistic presentations on closing time. There is not enough I can say about TOP customer service when it is so hard to find .

Placed a click and collect order - Julie rang me to advise a product wasn’t available in my size BUT had found a different sizing option for me. Julie could’ve easily refunded me but she went above and beyond here even ringing to ask if I would prefer the XL. Thank you Julie, amazing service and kindness!! 10/10

Big W is my favourite shop at Westfield Northlakes. Everytime I search an item on line that I need Big W got it at reasonable price and most of the time on spl promo plus you get the everyday rewards points same as Woolworth. The store layout is very cohesive; clear bold signs make so much easier to find the section and items you are looking for. Staff always willing to help and I love how they still have a person serving customers at the checkout.

I shopped at bigw North lakes Fri 20th Oct and received excellent service from Heather in self serve!! Nothing was too much trouble . What a great asset to bigw !! However I was disappointed to see there are no longer any price checking machines! Oldies like me don't have the app. I have spoken to many who agree with me on this matter.

I used to like shopping here but recently they have changed the layout of the store and it is not a good improvement. It's made it very difficult to find what you're looking for. What is more annoying is that they have removed the price checking machines. If this is a permanent arrangement then I don't understand why. Customers have the right to know the price of something before purchasing especially if the store couldn't be bothered putting a tag on the item. Customer service at North Lakes store is also lacking. Employees at change room and checkout both lukewarm. Kind of makes me reluctant to shop here in the future which is a shame as previously I have enjoyed my shopping experiences here.

Visited the party section here and had a wonderful experience with a lovely young lady called Kylie. Was unsure of the pieces I required however Kylie kindly guided me through it all, showing great patience and kindness towards a party plan newbie. Thank you Kylie for your fantastic service and will definitely return for any future celebrations.

Good selection of products but some of the staff are so rude and unfriendly. I did a click and collect for Christmas gifts and it came in a clear bag so unfortunately as I came out of the shop my family could see the contents 🙄 . No I don’t have an Australian accent but that doesn’t mean staff get to make fun of me if “they” don’t understand what I’m saying. I speak fluent English and don’t normally have any issues with people understanding me,

I was shocked to learn the price check machines are now gone! Black Friday sales have been very disappointing compared to Target. Sadly after 20 years I don't think I'll be shopping at Big W anymore.

I came in to purchase 905xl printer cartridges for my officejet 6960 printer pro today. I took the ticket that was found in the HP section to the tech counter and were given calidad replacement cartridges compatible with a 2 year old update that no longer works after contacting calidad directly. We have contacted big w customer support asking if we can return the stock as it is not compatible and have been told that it is non refundable despite the stock being old and no longer compatible. I am very dissapointed that big W is selling stock that does not work and won't negotiate refunds for these items as the customer service rep I spoke to has made it very clear this has happened numerous times Thanks Big W. What a waste of $90 for nothing.

Today I went into the store with my 2 children and a stroller that was dying. I asked a man working there if the one in the box came together? He then opened the box, put it together in the store and asked if I wanted to just pay for it at the front. He then took the box and my old stroller to dispose of. Being a travelling family, this helped our day so much! This was the best customer service I've had!

Had a wonderful shopping experience today at Big W North Lakes today. My daughter and I found a cute little children's handbag with no price or barcode, with the help of the fabulous Clinton, Shezzy and Abby we able to get. It goes perfectly with little outfit we bought, thanks a bunch 😻💐

Well found it turns out I'd been here before doh bought some stabilised pool chlorine great price then decided to look around bought some ridiculesly cheap t shirts and shorts all marked down as the carer for a incapacitated guy I got him some shirts and a pair of shorts great value I'm so online shopping centres these days I get lost in the shops lol anyway worth the visit

nice store and all just you put stickers on the game cases not the easy to peel of and leave zero residue type either, which ruined some of the cases due to it stretching the clear film

Simple click and collect order was completely ruined when I was given the wrong order. No refund offered, was offered a $10 e gift card that never got sent to my email. Huge was of fuel and time and now my christmas gift is ruined. Horrible service, horrible store. Completely packed for christmas time hense why I ordered click and collect & staff can't get a very simple 1 item order correct!!
