Very unhappy with Specsavers North Lakes. Got new glasses middle of last year, went back four times for adjustment, as not happy with them. Still not happy, but gave up trying. Went to a different optometrist yesterday, glasses were way out of alignment. They also said my lenses were crazed, take them back where I got them. Went back to Specsavers this morning. No, not crazed, just scratched. They did not want to know about it, or do anything about it. Not happy at all. Won’t be going back there.

took my child to this store. never again. my childs eye got poked by one of the managers. now my child is blind in one eye and they are refusing to pay for medical bills because according to them it "never happened". Now his limbs are numb and he cant speak english, only speaks to me in japanese.

tbh wish there was an option to give 0 stars, or negative even, these guys should be giving me stars for what they've done to me. the asian waitress was being mean and rude and she spilled flour all over me and pulled my hair so now I have a blad patch and she wrecked my favourite dress. I also head some asian language coming from the kitchen and it sounded like airy voices that were fight so I used google translate and they said the customer outside is stinky and she has a big forehead. also the otherlady was sweating but I don't want to repeat the bad words.then the chef shoved nuts into the wairesses moth and the waitress turned into a ballon. so don't go their they are crazy

It was a fabulous service on the consultation The second / Picking up og my glasses the service dropped, My phone number was missing a digit is the reason I was not called to let me know my glasses where in, Even though this apparently was noticed by staff, yes they had my email and no one emailed me. Specsavers 10 out 10 North Lakes Specsavers 6 out of 10

I was initially very hesitant to go back to any Specsavers stores after a very bad experience from a staff member being quite nasty to my autistic daughter, I walked out of there and put in a complaint immediately. I have been unsure if I should give North Lakes a try but decided to go there as I refuse to go back to Strathpine store with that lady staff member still there. In the end I decided to give North Lakes a try, one horrible experience with one staff member does not reflect the company. I was pleasantly surprised. I will take my daughter there for her next check up and see if they show her the same kindness and respect. Well done Specsavers North Lakes. I even got my glasses adjusted today and was so quick and stress free. Am very happy with my 2 new pairs of glasses.

Where do I even begin with the abysmal horror show that is Specsavers in NorthLakes? This place single-handedly redefines the meaning of incompetence and has successfully managed to turn a simple eyewear purchase into an experience worthy of a nightmare movie. Brace yourself for the epitome of failure, spending over $900 on glasses with a wrong prescription and even I constantly advising them something is not right while they insisted for me to get use to them in a fashion to believe that I must try eventually finding out the prescription was wrong and was informed 3 months now has passed and there is nothin we can do sitting Infront of the supervisor with my broken reading glasses that they didn't bother to help me fix them up This establishment is a disgrace to the eyewear industry, and its existence is a testament to the failures of capitalism. Save yourself the agony and seek a reputable and competent eyewear provider. Please I am only referring to this in North Lakes but defiantly not the other Specs Savers. Hope this is read by many cause this me 9 months of migraine pains for trying to wear the wrong glasses. Thank you

I received a new pair of half frame Hugo Boss in March. Soon after my purchase the lens cracked in the corner I took the glasses back to the North Lakes store where I purchased and was told that that this is a common fault with these glasses. Specsavers refused to replace under warranty. They wanted to charge $85 to replace the lens. I won’t be back and I’m more than disappointed as my experience with Specsavers had been good up to this point

The North lakes franchise does not allow or offer the service of new lenses into your existing frames. Not even if you pay a fee. This seems to be a singular store policy. Other Specsavers do it, I was told to go to chermside.. I have some beautiful frames that are in desperate need of lense upgrading and very disappointing they couldn't help with this. The optometrist was lovely. The staff seemed friendly. The review is purely based on the store owners policy.

I went there this morning with my son and no one approached us even after I chose the frame for my son, there were 3 girls behind the counter just talking to each other and not making eye contact with us. I had the prescription with me (did the eye test at Specsavers Strathpine and the staff are awesome and polite) and we just wanted to get a new glasses and definitely not gonna go there anymore.

Thank you to Jacqui and Kylie for making me feel wonderful with my choice of specs. They listened and with their experience I found a new look! I have not worn my ‘safe’ glasses but have worn the bold frames since I got them. Hope you enjoy the bakery goods ladies! Keep up the amazing you that you are, Mel x

Made an appointment with Natalie to discuss hearing aid options. I cannot compliment her enough. Very thorough and detailed and answered all my questions. I am now the proud owner of my first set of hearing aids which has been life changing. Awesome product. Awesome value for money. Awesome audiologist. Just do it.

The staff in all areas are helpful and caring. They have a calm way of explaining all that is needed to upgrade your glasses. I am supportive of their program to assist Indigenous People in outback areas as my mothers Indigenous bloodline is within the Cherbourg areas and now further throughout of Queensland.

Congratulations on employing such a beautiful, caring young lady Holly. I cannot commend her service provided highly enough. This young lady is such an inspiration and an asset to your business.10/5. I certainly will be returning to the Northlakes store for all future checkups. Thankyou to you Holly, you certainly are a ray of sunshine

Lovely staff. So helpful and polite. Great price too !!! Another establishment I went to charged twice as much as spec savers. This is the place to go for affordable great service and glasses. Thank you.

Went to try to get my glasses adjusted as they were sliding down my nose and they somehow made them worse by curling in just one side and giving my ear lots of pain. Not to mention the huge and long wait. Very annoying to keep having to show up for adjustments when staff dosent seem to know what they're doing as it's not the first time I have to go back to try to get them fixed

My order for multifocals were made into sunglass lenses instead of normal , not impressed ! I had lost my glasses so I needed them , so now I have to wait another 2 or more weeks not happy

  • 1/5 Karla G. 6 months ago on Google
Really unimpressed here. Of all the things they could make so simple yet ‘not possible’. No follow through from promises on phone for a receipt. Young girl in the shop had NO problem solving skills. Didn’t fit glasses to face despite being multifocals so pretty necessary. Crooked as. When said things are not clear enough to see and wear told ‘well we won’t even do anything about that for at least a week’. Abysmal attitude. Go somewhere else.

Great products and services. Equally important that my consumer spending contributes to important causes, including Specsavers contributions to The Fred Hollows Foundation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and well-being.

I bought glasses here 6 months ago, staff were very patient and helpful with me. I had an accident this morning, I stepped on my glasses and bent the branches. I straightened them okay but they still had a wobble in the branches. I came to this store to see if it could be improved. Steve was a gentleman, he helped me and the branch accidentally broke instore so Steve gave me a new frame in an instant. I cannot commend this business enough, thanks for your efforts and best wishes for 2024 🙏😊

Such a positive experience once setting foot into the store. Everything is clean and bright and the staff are very welcoming The eye test is also very efficient and staff are quick all those uncomfortable parts Not to mention how AMAZING Kylie is, I’ve had her help me twice pick out glasses and make sure it’s exactly what I’m looking for. She’s such a bright person and clearly loves her job. Please notice her hard work Specsavers!

I would like to start off by saying the staff are very friendly and efficient. But, I wish someone would have been honest with me when I ordered transitional lenses. I went with the cheaper option but they are basically unusable. The amount of sight you get with $150 per glasses are a waste of time. I paid for two pairs and cannot use either. I don’t know why this option is available…just wish I was told not to bother and to put my money on a more expensive option.

Very friendly staff. Optometrist was explaining everything well. There was not a long waiting time. The eye glasses were so perfect that it did not need any adjustments at all. So far this was the best pair of glasses I had. Thanks

I get my hearing tests done here. Very good service from the audiologist (Natalie) who thoroughly explains everything so that you are satisfied with the settings of your hearing aids as well as your test results. It's good to see people doing jobs they enjoy.

Very happy with all aspects of getting my glasses from Specsavers. From start to finish everyone was fantastic to deal with. And with half price frames an absolute bargain.

Kippa ring spec savers. Had an appointment to be shown how to put in contact lenses, I said then and there I can OT tell the difference that everything was still blurred. The woman said "well they are in your eyes, and the prescription may need looking at again, mine you the prescription was done there days prior. An optomotrists came over to the lady and myself, and said there is NO contacts in my eyes at all. I got on my hands and knees o ly to find both contacts were on the floor and NOT in my eye's.. Had a second appt so left home earlier to be on time. Road works on Anzac Ave Kippa ring, I was only 5 mins away from Peninsular Fair. I had the manners to call and say I would be 5 minutes late, and told them I was only on Anzac Avenue that I would not be long. The girl I spoke to mentioned it to another employer and told me to make another appointment. Strip me should have learnt from the first appointment.

NEVER GO! I left with a lower prescription than needed as I went to an independent optometrist after I received my new glasses with the new prescription from specsavers. There was a HUGE difference! I will never go to any Specsavers or any other shop like this. My independent optometrist bulk billed and was extremely friendly and informative, a service I have never received from Specsavers or Optical Superstore. Specsavers are marketing not service! They shouldn't be in business!!!

I was given such care, support, amd ANSWERS, today!!! Last year, through a different ophthalmologist, I was told nothing could help/nor fix my vision. This year, after seeing these guys at North Lakes, I was told certain glasses will help. I can't tell you how happy I am. Absolutely incredible. They've made my day, made my year. Thank you!!

I found the staff extremely helpful and courteous. Appointment was on time and glasses were ready within two weeks. Would certainly return for future glasses.

Quite literally the worst customer service I have experienced. Not given eye contact or acknowledgement when entering the store or asking questions. Arrogant and standoffish service. You can feel the lack of relationship between the managers and the staff, as if the staff are being forced to work there against their will. Will not return here even if it was the last store open on earth and my entire bloodline were blind in both eyes.

Had the best experience getting my new glasses fitted at the Northlakes store, and was pleasantly surprised at being able to get my hearing tested at the same time. As a Lions Club member I am so happy at what Specsavers are doing to help fellow Australians have access to glasses and operations with the Fred Hollows Foundation. 😁

I was very pleased with the service from getting my eyes tested through to picking my frames.I do wish you had more options with the frames. Picking up my glasses I had great service with the fitting but will come back for minor adjustment as I think fitting them while having a mask on does make a little difference in the way they sit. Overall an very pleased with my glasses and the service

I came in for a new pair of glasses that needed to be a specific size because of my prescription. I was struggling to find a pair but my anxieties were minimized by a lovely worker named Shannon. Shannon made me feel welcome and made the process as smooth as possible while giving me truthful advice on how the frames looked. I am extremely grateful. Five stars for Shannon's assistance and professionalism.

Had my annual eye test this morning. a very welcoming reception, efficient initial diagnostic tests, and then, today, the best optometrist service ever. Sonya Sahota - excellent! She very thoroughly explained the current condition of my eyesight, what the latest measurements indicated, likely future changes and recommendations for managing my current status.. All done in an extremely personable yet professional manner.

Went there for my first experience at a Specsavers store in a few years. These guys were amazing from beginning to end. The optometrist asked my about my lifestyle to help get me the right lens and frames. Very happy with the whole process.

Went to spec savers to have my eye tested; the optometrists where fantastic ( hence the higher star rating) however the customer service when trying on glasses, was horrible, he said he was there to help, which he did not do; he stood there with a " couldn't be bothered" look on his face......

I had a hearing test and eye test on the same day last week. Natalie the Audiologist was lovely. Very informative, gentle and kind. Natalie made a daunting task much more approachable. Ray was my Optometrist. I've been wearing glasses for over 15 years and I've never had an Optometrist as great as Ray before. He shared information to help me with my eyes that I'd never heard before, great manageable tips. He was kind and thorough, explaining the process as he went. Highly recommend Specsavers North Lakes.

I came in with my 2 year old son asking to be seen as directed by a pharmacist due to his severe and sudden swollen eye/eyeball. The lady I saw at the front desk was very understanding, put us into the next available appointment but organised for us to be seen sooner due to my sons age and current agreeable attitude that may not remain in 2hours time. We didn't wait long, and the optometrist who saw us was very kind and never rushed anything during our examination, even though we were fitted in. I only wish I got their names so they could be properly thanked. I do know the optometrist was male, Surname Lewis. But thank you to you both, and any other staff behind the scenes who helped us to be accommodated so quickly

I was very pleased with my visit to optometrist. I was looked after well when choosing new glasses and trusted the assistant to find what suited me best. It’s hard to see when frames have no prescription in them but my choice was spot on. Very happy.

I cannot compliment the staff enough. I was not expecting such a busy store to be as efficient and attentive to mine and my partner’s needs for glasses. My partner and I booked online for our appointments. We arrived and Stephen greeted us, retrieved our health information and walked us through the process for our appointments. Each of the staff members, including Stephen were well trained and courteous. I have been a glasses wearer for most of my life. This has been the best customer service and quality of staff knowledge I have experienced from my time of going to do my obligatory annual or biannual eye checks. Great work!

I visited a few weeks ago for an eye test. I was a bit nervous as I ended up having to bring my two month old baby along with me due to a schedule change. Of course bub didn't go down for her nap in time for my appointment and became very fussy. Thankfully a lovely lady offered to hold her for me while I got the testing done, and I was able to get bub down to sleep in time to see the optometrist. He was lovely, very thorough, and explained things well. When it came to pick out my frames, the sales assistant was friendly and did a great job of helping choose something that would suit me. I am so grateful that the whole team were so lovely and patient with us. It made the less than ideal situation so much easier. Thank you!
