The view from the covered porch and the dining room was lovely. It is a beautiful property. The room was cheery, clean and well appointed with practical amenities so it was comfortable. Outlets were easily reachable, there was a full length mirror on the closet door, and even a scissor hanging on a hook in the large bathroom. The scissor came in handy! Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented and the owners made you feel welcome. The cookies in the evening were delicious. I wish all B&Bs were like this.

Charming, quaint stay in Booth Bay! Beautiful bed and breakfast with a view of the water. Just a few steps from the dock for swimming! Steve and Susan go above and beyond to give their guests a cozy and memorable stay. Susan cooked a delicious breakfast and Steve was kind, caring and attentive the whole way through. Lots of return guests from over the years, which is always a good sign! Highly recommend

This is the most lovely place to stay. My daughter and I traveled from Colorado to Maine for the first time. We could not have loved our trip more. The rooms are cozy, and the food is delicious, and the hosts are so kind. I can't say enough good things about this place. Any time we go back to Maine, we will definitely make our way to the Five Gables Inn.

If you are even considering staying here, do it—you won’t regret it. My husband and I stayed here just one night and we wish that we could’ve stayed here longer. It’s quaint, comfortable, cozy and has everything you need. We stayed in Room 16 which was the perfect, quiet, corner room. It had a great view of the bay. Right when we checked in, there were freshly baked warm cookies waiting for us in the kitchen. ❤️ Don’t get me started on the breakfast—it was incredible. The quiche, potatoes, and homemade muffins were amazing. The owners truly make you feel at home. We sat on the porch and had breakfast and coffee over looking the bay. Parking is super easy and accessible on the property. There is a reason why this is Traveler’s Choice best of the best 2022 by TripAdvisor. Book here! Loved it and can’t wait to come back.

What can I say about this place other than, what a find. Located a couple of miles away from the touristy, bustling Boothbay Harbor downtown, the location and extraordinary hospitality made our stay here worth every penny. The owners have literally accounted for every possible detail. Supreme cleanliness, amazing home-cooked, creative breakfasts, coffee and tea station, fresh cookies every afternoon, ports cookies & chocloates later in the evening, plus whisper-quiet heat pump/AC units in the tastefully appointed guest rooms left us unable to wish for more. Other than a longer stay. Kudos to owners Susan and Steve.

Five Gables Inn is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Boothbay region. It is located only a short ride outside of Boothbay harbor and offers easy access to the regions many beautiful nature trails and the rugged Maine coastline. But while other inns and hotels might share a similar location, what sets Five Gables apart is the service and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts are the best around and will make you instantly feel at home. We only spent two nights at Five Gables as part of a longer trip up the New England coast. But knowing what we know now, we would have considered making Five Gables and the Boothbay region the centerpiece of our trip and could have easily stayed for a week or more. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

You can feel the hospitality, care to detail and attention to guest services here. What a serene and special place. View is so pretty. We stayed on the top floor with large bathroom and was very quiet. The owners are lovely people and we loved talking with the evening host , guests on the porch and around the fire. Breakfast is fabulous. You just are treated very well.

We loved our stay at this beautiful Inn. The room was very clean and spacious. We loved the location and the water view is beautiful. The breakfast is amazing and delicious. They go all out to make the breakfast fabulous. The view from the front porch is worth every cent at this place. Five star place!! The only negative is we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs … so if you are not fit enough to carry bags up three flights of stairs you won’t be happy.

We are a couple from Dubai We love to say that the hotel was a amazing and cozy,the views was incredible,cleaning and all the stuff there were friendly,they have tea time which was really nice and delicious. The breakfast time as well as was amazing and tasty I recommend for anyone looking for special staying and unforgettable experience.
