Nestled
in
the
heart
of
historic
downtown
Jonesborough,
we
were
introduced
to
the
Main
Street
Cafe
by
our
real
estate
agents
2
months
ago.
The
decor
embraces
its
historic
roots
with
authentic
antique
wooden
booths
and
original
tin
ceiling
tiles.
The
tall
paned
windows
accentuate
the
long
hanging
schoolhouse
lights
and
curated
accent
pieces
with
just
a
hint
of
boujee
flair.
The
cafe's
menu
is
well
thought
out
with
options
for
both
omnivores
and
vegetarians,
including
special
items
such
as
desserts,
craft
beer
and
wine
selections,
creatively
handwritten
on
large
chalkboards
by
someone
with
an
artistic
gift
for
chalkmanship!
When
you
first
enter,
you'll
notice
instructions
to
order
first
and
pay
before
securing
a
table.
This
is
more
than
understandable
when
you
see
the
continuous
flow
of
customers,
but
we've
never
had
a
problem
finding
a
place
to
sit.
By
the
way,
you
will
see
a
tip
screen
when
you
pay.
Tip
generously
-
the
table
staff
are
some
of
the
best:
great
attitudes,
attentive
at
keeping
your
beverage
refilled
and
quick
to
respond
to
requests.
On
today's
visit,
my
husband
had
his
favorite,
the
'Borough
Burger'
with
bacon
and
cheese
and
I
tried
the
'Breezy'
(mesquite
smoked
turkey,
grilled
mushrooms,
garlic
aioli
and
melted
cheese
on
an
8"
hoagie
roll).
Both
were
served
with
a
pickle
spear
and
Kettle
chips.
Mukisa
was
our
server
and
checked
on
us
regularly
to
be
sure
we
had
everything
we
needed.
(Thank
you,
Mukisa!)
The
burger
was
excellent
(as
always),
but
my
grilled
hoagie
"Breezy"
is
my
new
favorite!
The
blend
of
smoky/earthy
flavors
beneath
that
melty-cheesy
goodness
is
nothing
short
of
culinary
excellence
on
a
fresh
hoagie
bun!
This!
It's
why
we
keep
coming
back!
