One of the best beach visited, discreet and quiet location with a wild spirit, virgin as there are no bars and shops and many homes around. The drive was good as using a taxi from the harbour. I loved this beach and I was so sad when left. The snorkeling is good experience especially on the left side with coloured fishes and turtles but the exceptional panorama of Jost Van Dyke is fabulous.

Way off the beaten path! It was almost a 10 minute drive to get to the beach, all dirt back roads. definitely a beach we will go back to. The bartender was phenomenal and made some excellent drinks.

Absolutely gorgeous! Not crowded at all! We had an awesome driver that was very prompt and very informative of the sights on the way to the beach and back to the cruise ship. White sandy beach and clear water! I would love to go back again!

Our skipper suggested smugglers cove instead of another beach on Jost Van Dyke and were so lucky he did. The water was so calm and the beach was beautiful. We did some snorkeling too!

Quiet little beach with gorgeous sand, decent snorkeling at the south end of the bay, good parking, and two beach bar restaurants. We spent two full days here relaxing during our vacation and loved every minute of it. We WILL be back! Some rocks getting into the water due to a recent storm, but overall an excellent island beach.

We took a private Shuttle and it was so worth it. Absolutely breathtaking and away from the crowds. The 2 bars on the beach serving extra strong drinks were icing on the cake!

We hung out at Smugglers Cove and Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar for a few hours. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and Nigel's is a really cool little beach hut, serving cold drinks and renting chairs. We had a Jeep and found the road to the beach to be fine. A local couple we spoke to the day before said that they had recently finished road improvements in the area, which had previously been really rough because Irma. In my opinion, given the recent improvements, as long as you're not in a car, you'll be fine... And it's well worth the trip!

Excellent beach on Tortola with two beach bars and chairs and umbrellas for rent. If the water is calm and clear , great snorkeling as well. On wavy days, there’s a strong tow close to shore when wave’s coming.

What a beautiful beach, relax and grab a drink at the beach bars. We enjoyed a few drinks at Nigels Bar. There are a few rocks by the shoreline, but a few hops over, and you are right in the soft sand!

The best beach of the British Virgin Islands has to be Elizabeth Bay Beach on Smuggler's Cove. There isn't a better beach I have ever seen, no, not even in movies.

An absolute must-see if you’re exploring the BVI. A huge beach, with beautiful sunsets, only accessible by a long dirt road or by boat with a couple of excellent shacks for food and drink, with sun loungers and umbrellas for shade. Highly recommend Patricia’s (fish tacos all the way!), which must be a good spot as the local police were grabbing a bite while we were there. There can’t have been more than 30 people there in the three hours we stayed. The water was beautiful, if not a tiny bit choppy the afternoon we stayed. Very much off the beaten path but a BVI highlight for us.

Gorgeous! Make sure you stop by Nigel's Beach Bar! Only problem we ran into while snorkeling was some stinging - not sure if they were small jellyfish or maybe spores from the coral, but they weren't serious stings, just kind of annoying. Plenty of sea life, great for snorkeling or just relaxing in the sand!

Incredible!! So quiet, even with two cruise ships docked. Nice little beach bar with drinks and free chairs. Snorkelling was quite good with good Rocky / coral along the sides. Saw a 4’ nurse shark. Wicked!

Most beautiful beach! It was never crowded on the days we came. We enjoyed drinks and great food at Patricia's. They have chairs and umbrellas you can use while there if you are ordering from the bar.

One of my favourite beaches on Tortola….take me back! This beach is stunning, not to crowded and you must pop into Patricia’s on the beach for incredible fish tacos and pain killers of course. You can rent chairs and umbrellas however there are shady areas as well. There is coral/rocks in some areas of the water. Some may want to bring water shoes. The road to the beach is off the main road, a bit bumpy but well worth the drive!

    Beautiful beach. Very secluded.

The road to reach here is intense and totally worth the excursion. Warm crystal clear water awaits once you reach. The water was warm and comfortably not too deep. The sand was soft and powder. There were two tiny bars, one was serving drinks and light fare. We were fortunate that the cove was pretty empty when we arrived. There were a few snorkelers who arrived by boat and author group, it is far from commercial or crowded. These are some of the most beautiful pristine waters I have swam in. Enjoy
