I would highly recommend Sailing Virgins! I had the privilege of taking part in the 2020/2021 Christmas/NYE trip in the US Virgin Islands with Captain Wouts. Even amid a global pandemic, everything about the trip was amazing and I am happy to report that this time next week, the rest of the crew and I from that trip are reconnecting in the Bahamas to charter a boat of our own. I have been refreshing my knowledge by watching your YouTube videos and I could not be more excited to cast the lines and set sail again with the friends I made on Libertas. I am eager someday to buy a boat of my own and create a life-based in sailing, but the first step was to jump in with both feet to my first Sailing Virgins adventure. Thank you for helping to make this happen, I look forward to many more days on the water. FOLLOW UP: The trip was a smashing success, we had a blast, but most importantly we looked good the whole time!

An absolutely incredible experience! I did my ASA 114 in the BVI and made lifelong friends doing it. The itinerary, instructors, boat, all amazing and beyond expectations. All the instructors are “The Yacht Week” skippers, so not only are they knowledgeable but FUN! Seriously if you love adventure and some edge…Sailing Virgins is your school.

Had a great weeklong trip to the BVIs with our Captain Liam. Checked out a new 46 Lagoon and had a blast sailing and getting more sailing knowledge, all while checking out the beautiful islands! Highly recommend SV for your next trip. Can’t wait to book another trip with them in another part of the world.

I'm a 29 year old Aussie girl who came here to the BVI to learn to sail (from zero!). Our sail yesterday, to Cooper Island, should paint a picture of Sailing Virgins. We had a short but sweet briefing, then got straight into the sailing. I was being taught all the terminology in a quizzy sort of way which made it fun. Then after a great little stop in Cooper Island (including a jump off the jetty and swim in the insanely clear water there) we headed back. On the way back I mastered the forehand of tying the bowline knot. So good!! If you've ever wanted to learn sailing, you should go with these guys!

Sailing Virgins was an awesome way to go through ASA 103 and 104. We learned a ton and got to spend a week bouncing around the amazing islands and spots around the British Virgin Islands. I will definitely be back for ASA 105 & 106. Orlagh, our instructor, was super informative and did a great job going through the course resources and helping us improve our sailing skills from docking, to anchoring, to learning about the various systems on the boat. Thanks again Sailing Virgins!

Sailing Virgins is totally fabulous ⛵️🏝🎉 We are so grateful we booked with Sailing Virgins for our sailing school/certification adventure. A special round of gratitude goes out to Katharina, Irene, and James, for rallying together and pivoting to a new plan when all the charter boats in BV were seized so we could keep these dates! I have always wanted to go to the French West Indies and Dutch Caribbean, and it happened. So Fabulous! More special thanks: our captain and primary educator was Kirill. There are not enough positive adjectives to express the true nature of Kirill, so all I can say is book your adventure and see for yourself! But, I can say Kirill was amazing and made everyone feel welcome and included. Skipper Adam was great as well, adding his own special approach to the learning process and the organizational flow on the boat. The actual sailing was exhilarating and empowering and the location was just over the top in deliciousness! Did I mention breathtaking? The temperature and color of the water, the marine life, the exotic birds everywhere, hiking, goats, dinners onshore- the list could just go on and on! Everyone and everything was great! The other students were awesome and it created an instant community onboard. Al fresco dinners, group lessons and practical exercises, and camaraderie all added to the positive environment. We moored or anchored in several locations with Saba being the unexpected standout! We can only comprehend all of this as possible because of Sailing Virgins! We think the SV style that fosters an atmosphere of instant community of like-minded people combined with highly qualified (but not douchy) captain and crew, is the special sauce that brings it all together. We were huge SV fans on YouTube and now we are HUGE fans of the SV in-person courses. We will be back for more…. Thank you Sailing Virgins, we are grateful :) And we got our advanced certifications, too! Nancy G

Take everything you thought this trip would be and throw it out the window. Sailing Virgins is more than that! More adventurous, more intense, more fun! It’s hard for me to sit here and collect my thoughts on my experience because there were so many amazing things that happened over the course of the week. First and foremost, James and Jack are LEGENDS! Two of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve met. Their passion and knowledge about sailing is extraordinary. But what’s even more extraordinary is their passion for teaching their students about sailing. While completing the NauticEd course online prior to the trip, it sometimes felt overwhelming and there were concepts that didn’t quite click. I’m so glad that I didn’t give up on it though, because once we were out on the water James and Jack were able to take the theory that NauticEd had laid the foundation for and put it in to practical use. On our course, the “Up Island Adventure”, we sailed from St. Martin to the British Virgin Islands, by way of Saba. Sailing Virgins will take you to the most beautiful places! I’m still in awe of Saba, what I can only describe as a beautiful utopian village on a 3,000ft mountain that comes screaming out of the ocean. But getting to beautiful places doesn’t always come easy. If it did, everyone would be doing it! Parts of our trip were intense, in the best thrill seeking, adventurous way possible. Who knew that on my second day sailing ever we would be undertaking a 19-hour sail. James and Jack have confidence in their students to complete trips like this, and with their instruction it seems as if anything is possible. I had no sailing experience before this trip and I’m still surprised at how much I learned in just one week! Even if you’re an experienced sailor, Sailing Virgins has something to teach you. Other than learning how to sail, for me one of the best things about Sailing Virgins was connecting with other like-minded people. People who want to experience adventure and see the world in a different way. There’s an immediate connection with everyone else on the boat because you’re all invested in the learning experience, and they all want to push the limits a little bit to make it an adventure you’ll never forget. I left Sailing Virgins with five new friends and a ton of stories! If you have any doubt in your mind about taking this course, DO IT! Join the fun and make some memories you’ll never forget. I can never say it enough, thank you James, Jack, and Celine! Hope to sail with you all again soon.

I spent 2 weeks with Sling Virgins in 2020 right before the pandemic. I got my ASA 101, 103, and 104. It was an incredible trip, a great mix classroom training, practical sailing experience and fun. Learn in the morning, sail during the day, have fun at night in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The captain Marco as well as the SV support crew where all awesome. I would recommend them to anyone. Since taking the class I have purchased my own sailboat and can honestly say without the training I received probably wouldn’t have felt comfortable doing so.

I took the advanced sailing (103/104) down in the BVIs a couple years ago. The class and experience was amazing. I could go on and on about how fun it was but the purpose is to really learn to sail and as a testament to the amazing instruction, I did my first bareboat charter with just me and my GF last year and it was an absolute breeze. I attribute that to the knowledge and experience I received with Sailing Virgins!!!

For years I’ve been dreaming of bareboat chartering…Sailing Virgins helped me make that dream come true. Our instructor Ryan was great at making sure each of us on the boat was able to learn, and understand the course work regardless of each persons level of experience. It was not all work! We had a great balance of sailing, learning, relaxing, and partying. I’m almost 40, and while I was one of the older guys on the boat, that didn’t matter to anyone, 6 strangers on a 42’ boat from the ages of 21-40, and we got on great. If you are on the fence, just do it, Happy Days!

We LOVED our class! My wife and I did an intermediate sailing course and both got our ASA 101 and 103 certificates and I got my ASA 104, all in a week. James really came through, making this class happen even when there was a problem getting a boat at their usual location. Even though I’ve been sailing my whole life, I still learned a lot. Kirill and Adam were fantastic teachers.

We had an incredible week in Tahiti doing level 103,104, 114. Adam is a fantastic instructor and skipper. He knew Tahiti well and took us to lots of local places! Really made the trip extra special!!!

Amazing group! Took my 16 old daughter with me and went through ASA 101 and 103. Life changing! Kirill was our instructor/captain. One of the best humans I have ever met. Did a great job teaching us how to sail and shared his life with us for a week. We were with 2 other students who will now be lifelong friends, this company brings together amazing people. Sailing and course work during the day, island exploring, good food and bars at night. Best way to take a holiday!

I rarely give reviews. But given the AMAZING experience I had doing a course in BVI I couldn’t resist sharing. This course was one of the best weeks of my life. Having 0 sailing experience prior to this but always wanting to learn I left the course feeling educated, confident, and eager to learn more. Not only did I learn a lot. I had an incredible time doing it with the BEST crew from around the world! Shout to Cam for being an amazing instructor. Every night we were in a different amazing location with great food and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to get back on the water and experience another amazing course with these new found friends!

Had an awesome time sailing around the BVI with Oran. It was a truly memorable experience, and I learned a ton! I arrived with the least experience of everyone, but left feeling confident that my skills and knowledge had improved significantly. Would highly recommend and hope to sail with them again.

Base line stoke level is high!! If you have any interest in sailing or just having an awesome time with great people, you need to do a trip with Sailing Virgins. From the beginning to the end the experience was well curated and executed. I never felt like I was taking a boring class, it was an adventure that we were in charge of. All while having the best time of my life. Fresh air, salt water, great people, good food, and memories that will last a lifetime. I came back home feeling like a new person. Big shout out to our rad captains Oran and Shabtay! Book your trip, show up with a smile and get ready to have a blast!

Best sailing experience out there! I can’t rave about this incredible sailing adventure enough. The instructors Oranichu and Shabtay are the best out there and we couldn’t be more impressed with how well they taught while providing such an excellent trip of a lifetime adventure!
