I honest can’t imagine how this is a 5 star resort. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had; from the lack of food on the property to the leaking shower, to the sink full of ants, the holes in our drapes, the cold room service in a paper Togo container and genuine lack of concern for clients from both general staff to the management, I can honestly say I have never felt so unwelcome as a guest in all my years of travel.

I actually can’t believe this is considered autograph collection. It is the worst Marriott property I have been too. The rooms are nice, view is amazing. Pool is cold and falling apart. Food service is terrible (3 meals in a row each person got their food 30 min apart). No managers on site before 10AM or after 4pm. Even Marriott customer service couldn’t reach anyone to help us with a reservation. Absolutely a $500/night dumpster fire!! Avoid scrub island - there are far better resorts in the BVIs

What an amazing experience we had here on Scrub Island Resort! From the time you get off the private ferry and are greeted with the specialty rum punch, to all the amenities (snorkeling, kayaks, slide, beautiful rooms, beach, pool, bar, restaurant, etc...): Scrub is a great destination when going to the BVIs. Depending on how you get to the resort, there are logistics that need to be well planned (easiest way is to fly into Tortola, however ferries and/or personal boats all options), which may be the biggest opportunity. However, rating the resort itself, it's a definite 5-star. Service is great, and I would recommend partnering with the hotel concierges ahead of time to schedule all your activities (fishing [they'll cook your catch], dinner reservations, scuba, taxis), as they'll make scheduling a breeze. Great time with our friends, and a place we'll be going back!

The feel of being isolated on an island disconnected from the world Is just what I was looking For. The resort was very nice overall aesthetically. I gave 3 stars because there were things broken in the suite. They never responded to two minor requests - more coffee packets for the in room machine and delivery of our bags. Upon arrival, we in essence wasted a day of relaxation that did not need to happen. Check in was at 4 and they hold right to that. Instead of making us feel bound by that, they should have suggested the north beach where we could have Changed into our bathing suits, eaten lunch and relaxed while we waited For our room. Nothing was said. My husband is a Marriott platinum for life member and has traveled all over the world. This was a surprise for my Birthday and beautifully planned by my husband. At Check in, they informed us that we’d have to pay for breakfast- when it should have been complimentary based on status. My husband had to “negotiate”for the perks that Come with his status. Cardamon restaurant was lackluster at Best. The manager needs training On customer service and professionalism. The Chef can’t cook lobster and made excuses rather than delivered an exceptional experience that one should expect fromA luxury resort. The lady Comment I will make is the experience with boat owners that took over the pool with their hacky sac game. The game became dangerous when people From The lower pool we’re throwing The ball to the upper pool and it landed in the fountain. That caused a drunk female to jump into the fountain 40 feet Above the lowerPool in an attempt To retrieve the hacky sac. When she got it, then another throw caused it to Go into another fountain she used the mop from A bathroom- dirty end- in the pool to retrieve it. Half hour later, hotel personnel are asking Her to climb Out of The fountain we didn’t pay those prices to be subjected to immature adults in a bacterial pool- chlorine or not.

Im going to make some shout outs to the amazing people and staff on this island who work so hard to make this island a special place on this earth! 1. The Guest Relations Team: Misses Nelda, Varun, and Dhruv, are all fantastic and talented people to be around and to plan special occasions with. They put the magic into the hospitality industry by using there imaginations, being persistent, being kind, humorous, and making truly beautiful moments happen! This island is beautiful and yet still has so much creative potential. 2. To the engineering team: they came out and tended to any issues we had in our room. They were very kind, friendly, and do very noble work in repairing and restoring the beauty in all of the fundamental details of this property. They bring hope to this property after the hurricane, making the place perfect! The people here are all so kind and make this place work. It can be a tough industry to work in but it makes this world and island so special. From the restaurant staff, all of the locals from Tortola, also many other good friends from Bali! And the ladies in the Ixora Spa, which was amazing and relaxing, especially on a rainy day! Thank you Scrub Island for giving us memories to last a life time!

My wife and I just returned from a week at Scrub Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands. This was our first true vacation since we both retired a couple of years ago. We were looking for a venue that provided outstanding service and a relaxing atmosphere. Scrub Island Resort did not disappoint! From the welcoming we received upon arrival to the moment we left the island to head for home, we were continually made to feel like “family” by EVERY staff member that we came in contact with (and there were many… the management team does not skimp on staffing and they do an extraordinary job in recruiting and training all who work at the property). The room amenities are well maintained, comfortable, convenient to other resort attractions and every room has a view of the water and marina. We stayed in a resort room and were impressed by the accommodations. We met other guests who were staying in suites and villas and each of them also raved about their accommodations. The resort is undergoing a renovation but none of the work in progress distracted or inconvenienced us in any way. Clearly there is a commitment to maintaining and improving the resort for future guests. We had a chance to dine in all of the restaurants and other dining locations on the island - including Marina Cay, a truly outstanding venue on a small nearby island also part of Scrub Island resorts. Every meal we had was high quality, served at the appropriate temperature and was nicely presented on the plate. Staff in the dining facilities were knowledgeable, attentive and concerned about our overall experience at each location. From our first meal to our last, we were treated as long time friends by every staff member who assisted us. We spent significant time at the pools (the one at the resort building as well as the one at North Beach) and they were clean, had ample seating and umbrellas and there were always staff available to assist with any needs (including drinks at the swim up bar at the main resort pool). Kristobym, the gentleman that greeted us almost every day during our stay was welcoming, provided fresh towels as needed, assisted with getting comfortable in lounge chairs, etc., Our visits to North Beach, the resort’s private island beach were outstanding. I’m not typically a beach person but the time we spent there was totally relaxing and the views breathtaking. We treated ourselves to the services at Ixora Spa. I get regular medical massages at home. The massage I received at Ixora was as good as those that I get at home! I’ve mentioned it already but what separates Scrub Island Resort from other venues is their amazing staff and the commitment to providing an outstanding experience to their guests (and to one another). I spent over 40 years in a hospitality related career and I can truly say that if I was still working, I’d want to hire staff with the talent and mindset of those working at Scrub Island Resort. I could go on and on about how wonderful our recent visit to Scrub Island Resorts was, but I’ll end by encouraging those considering a trip to the Caribbean book your visit at Scrub Island Resorts. You’ll be glad you did. To all our friends at Scrub Island, thanks for a truly amazing vacation. We’ll see you again!

Look elsewhere. This place is a disaster. No idea how it’s part of the Bonvoy group, let alone their high end resorts. We booked one night here before a sailing trip and, I’ll be honest, I would have rather slept in the airport.

We would 100% recommend Scrub Island. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and it was the most relaxing trip. From the moment we arrived on the island we were treated like royalty. We were greeted with staff taking our bags for us and handing us a cocktail. We had a flight cancelation and had arrived a day later than expected. We were pretty bummed to be missing a day on the island. When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a two bedroom, three bathroom Villa that sat on a private beach. This definitely made up for the difficulty in our travel plans. They even allowed us to extend out stay an extra night at no extra charge to make up for the day we missed! (Assuming they would not have been able to do this if fully booked). The only con to Scrub Island is the travel to get there, however it is well worth it and we would do it again. We had flown into Puerto Rico and taken a flight to Tortola. After that it is just a short boat ride to the island. We found the airlines from Puerto Rico to Tortola to be incredibly unreliable. They canceled flights for seemly no reason and completely last minute. When leaving the island we took a ferry from Red Hook to St. Thomas and then flew home from there. We would absolutely go this route again when returning as it was much more reliable- and cheaper. When on the island we spent time at our villa, the pool, and at Scrub Island’s private beach. We spent a few days in Virgin Gorda (about a 20 minute ferry ride away). The staff was very helpful in arranging cabs for us when needed. The rooms were updated and beautiful. The entire island was incredibly well taken care of. The beaches at The Baths in Virgin Gorda were like no beach we’ve ever been to. It was absolutely incredible. We will definitely be returning and highly encourage this vacation spot!

This is one of my favorite places to be. The staff is exceptionally outstanding. I visit many restaurants but in Scrub the service is A+. The rooms are impecably clean and the service for items that you need are done immediately. The SPA is one of the best I have ever been too. This should be considered a Five Diamond Hotel with such great service and detail oriented. Thank you for such an exceptional stay that I always remember. This is my second time staying here and it is always exceptionally excellent. I highly recommend it and I always tell everyone here in Puerto Rico at least once in your life time stay in Scrub Island. Also the small island for the Lobster Fest--exceptionally perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment. The music was beyond perfect. Thank you to All....Stacy for your Anniversary Song, Jennifer for her service and the details on our anniversary cake. All the staff from the Chefs & Servers in both Restaurant and the Captains of the Ferry. Everyone Thank You.....Merry Christmas & May this New Year 2024 be filled with Health, Prosperity & may you reach your goals...

Arrived here yesterday and from the young lady that met us at the ferry, front desk, bar, restaurant, and anywhere else the people here have been excellent. Friendly, courteous, and helpful. Room was very clean and a beautiful view of the boat slips. I would recommend this beautiful place without hesitation. Thank You.

The trouble started the minute we pulled up to a slot to moor our boat for the night. We had a reservation and called repeatedly to request our slot number. No one answered and the mailbox wasn’t set up for a call back. We were scolded by the dock master and told that we should’ve circled the property and kept calling until we spoke to someone and that they were in a staff meeting. No apologies from them for the inconvenience. We shook it off and were excited to hit the pool bar until we saw that there wasn’t any top shelf liquor available at the lower bar and it wasn’t very clean. Remember - this is touted as a luxury resort and we’re paying luxury prices . We had a reservation for a large party at Donovan’s. They stuck us in a corner with a giant tablecloth on top of uneven tables that were haphazardly put together. We had bugs biting our ankles (they gave us Off and sent us back to our corner). We begged them to take the tablecloth off because we were so hot and it was like a blanket over our legs but they refused to accommodate. They add gratuity therefore no one cared if we were happy. There is so much more that I can add but I’m trying to keep It brief. It was an awful experience and we will definitely never return!

Nice location. Good food. Very good grocery store and cafe but a little overpriced. Hotel itself is way overpriced for quality of the rooms. Screeching from chair's make me cringe. We stayed in 2 different rooms before and after sailing trip. Same issues. WiFi was great and free.

This place is under new management and they are really doing great things. This thing is going from 3.5 to 5 stars. You can see the Beef Island airport from the deck on Big Scrub. Get Michael to drive you up in a Polaris with a bottle of vino.

Outrageous place and they did the right thing. We wanted a slip but they did not have any because of all of the boat seizures. They let us Moore and still use the place. Great food and drinks.

Had an unexpected stay as our boat (a friends) had some unexpected mechanical difficulty that required the boat to go for repair. The crew made the reservations and the rooms were ready for us when we arrived. When it was determined that the boat would not be ready for the balance of our stay we decided to stay here. Candance Bryan at the front desk bent over backwards to make us comfortable she upgraded our rooms at a reasonable cost and over saw the entire process of changing rooms personally. Everyone here has been extremely friendly and helpful at Scrub Island and we are thankful we ended up here.

This place was amazing ! I visited for the day as I had a spa appointment and the experience was phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Makesh (the spa manager) showed us around and made sure we had a wonderful time. I’m so happy we visited for the day.
