I realise doctors are busy people, but dismissive attitude is awful ⬆️ Left this review above 5 years ago and had several more terrible visits since but todays experience was worst yet. Again I say I appreciate that NHS staff are under a lot of pressure these days but there is absolutely no empathy for people using this practice. Staff desperate to get you in and out of there with minimum possible interaction and interest in your condition, makes it even worse when you are there because you have taken a child there with a problem. If you have managed to get your prescription in one trip to the adjacent pharmacy congratulations - my last few visits have taken at least 3 trips back and forth to sort out errors or problems with the prescription

You read the reviews and you think it can't really be that bad? No in reality it's worse. You go there and ask a simple question about your son's medical history, get a rude reply from the receptionist saying "I can't help you"! All I asked for was a call back off a GP at sometime, but got told I need to ring at 8 in the morning to request an appointment. What for? It's no wonder so many people are requesting to move over to the other surgery. Will be doing the same as soon as possible

Had phone call doctor needs to see me but rung back couldnt make an appointment there and then. Almost impossible to make an appointment as phone is continuosly engaged during the 2 hour window to call each morning. Will be trying to swap surgerys ASAP.

I have been over 50yrs with this practice. When in Hunter St I feel it was managed so much better. You feel an inconvenience tbh. The desk staff border rude & do not process correctly. It's easier speaking to the pope than a doctor. Lovely building but change is not always better.

I phoned this morning at 08:31, got through at 08:45, so not as bad waiting time as last time. Told the receptionist I need to see or speak to a dr because I coughed up blood with my two week old non-treated cough. It’s 18:28 and I’m still waiting for the callback off the doctor. The surgery shuts at 18:00. Made a mistake coming to this surgery 👍🏼

Made my first Doctors appointment after moving to the area and was a bit dubious after reading all these reviews. I rang Monday Morning and was on hold for about 8 Minutes, The receptionist who answered wasn't particularly friendly but she did her job. I got an appointment that day and the Doctor I saw was friendly and professional and made me feel at ease during both consultation and diagnosis.

3 months waiting for my son to be seen. They just offer over the counter Antibiotics that hasn't helped his problem. When finally got an appointment after complaining I seen that DrJones lied about information on how to treat my son on his notes. Moving surgery as from today but I'm afraid all GPs are a joke right now.

Discharged from hospital waited all day for my antibiotics so hadn't taken them for an entire day (3 doses) came in the morning they said they wrote a prescription & to come back in the evening at 5, I did exactly that except they HADNT Even wrote it up so I'll have to go TWO DAYS without my antibiotics in the middle of a course. Absolutely appalling. My first experience with them and I want to leave already. Disgusting service from staff over the phone.

Incredibly rude staff over the phone and at the desk. They all need training on how to speak to people. Reflects badly on the doctors and practice overall.

Well what is there to say Well this gp practice should be shut down took my 4 month old on 6 occasions to see 5 different gps and got told totally different stuff first it was colic the first time they sent us away with nothing 2nd time we took her down they gave us a milk thickener which didn't work st all made the milk go hard then we was given gavisgon for acid reflux which they think she had then they didn't work 3rd time they give her nothing again and told us to up the dose. 4th time they gave us a lacto free milk because they think she had a milk allergy because they seem to think thats what she hadbiy I think it was her belly button that was causing her great deal of pain so took her back to the gp one more time they gave her omeprazole and that seem to help sometimes but she was being constantly sock and gps didn't seem to take in what we was saying Well after 4 months and 7 days she passed away and gps never bothered referring her to peadratrics which they would oc probably found out whqg the problem was instead we got ignored and now we've lost her all due to negligence and I will not let this go by a long shot because that's all this practice does is ignore there patients when they need help the most.

Called this morning at 8am exactly and was on hold for an hour before I gave up. Called again, but to general enquiries, and they said I should call back for an appointment around 8am tomorrow... I seriously give up with this place.

Be careful, the grass isn’t any greener on the other side.. I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment, I try to avoid Mondays & Fridays if possible but in general it’s been a positive experience. Yes, it can take a while for the phone to be answered, I suspect it’s because only one receptionist is answering all the calls, hence the waiting time. After half an hour answering calls and having abrupt callers I guess my patience would be minimum and easy to be abrupt with a difficult caller. It’s not the receptionists fault, they have a job to do… believe me, there’s much worse GP practises in the Swansea Bay Area….

Ridiculous waiting time. Nobody answered for order repeat medication for more than half hour, so decided to hang up and call again for gp appointment(pressing 1). When finally someone answered I was told to ring after 11 o'clock. So, for all the people that are trying to call for repeat prescription, don't bother to call because nobody will answer till late, probably after 11 or 12 o'clock.

The staff at this practice do a great job They try their best I found the staff to be on times rude, although one can understand why to deal with so many ppl that are simply ungrateful, Please remember they do a great job

Receptionist was very friendly and doctor rang after taking my details within 2 hours and had an appointment that same day. Never had an issue with them.

I have given this practice 5 stars as I have been a patient with them for over 30 years. Yes, there are issues with the phone and waiting but I have always had a good service eventually. The receptionists have always been friendly and helpful. The Drs are all different personalities and professionals and you are always going to get on, with some better than others. I recently had a pretty severe health issue and experienced being in 2 hospitals, some excellent care, some not good at all. I particularly want to thank Dr Wilkes, she has known me and our family and always been direct, honest but above all..... listens to you as her patient/client( whatever you want to call us) and actually cared and and carried out the necessary actions required. I really can't thank her enough for the support she has shown me, particularly recently when things were pretty bad. I know there are negatives from people, I understand absolutely but I think we often forget to thank people when we are so vulnerable and we have had immense support.

Phoned this morning at 11.10am and got through after 15 minutes which weren’t so bad, but the receptionist I spoke to was so rude and unprofessional. No wonder the reviews are so bad.

Cant make an appointment because I'm never available at 8am, the whole system isnt fit for purpose, people are struggling with very little empathy from this surgery.

generally the people are okay but it took me a whole week just to get a repeat prescription that i'd ordered at the beginning of the week prior. first of all we phoned for the repeat and were told to come in within the next few days which we did, but then we were told that no order was made. we phoned the next day to order again and then came in the day after to collect it, but this time they gave me the wrong medication. i managed to get it the third time we tried but really it shouldn't have been that hard. this was just for a ventolin pump for my asthma which is a pretty common order, but my point is that i could have had an ashtma attack in the time that we waited and it could have been fatal because i didnt get my pump. thankfully i didnt but yeah

Staff have always been very helpful, granted it takes some time to get through but it's the same with every doctors surgery you go to - never had an issue in the 3 years I've been a patient!

I wouldn't even give one star. But had to to leave a review. Most Disgusting Staff ever seen. They blame everyone else and not what they have caused.
