Served us the best, freshest pizza we've ever had! Their home brew beer was just as delicious! Efficient service, beautiful scenery and an overall chilled atmosphere. We didn't want to leave.

Hidden gem! This an unassuming quaint little spot you only take your favourite people to. They brew small batches of gorgeous beer and lovely thin crust pizzas are served here. We were fortunate to get some live music thrown in during our visit.

Went here for a quick bite and a beer Sunday afternoon. The hosts were very welcoming. The pizza is wonderful; thin base with generous toppings and quality ingredients. Try the Buchu Beer or the Sweet Mango Cider that they have on tap. There is ample space with tables scattered underneath the trees on the lawn in front of the alehouse. The feeling is laid back and rustic. Highly recommend. P.S. Ask the owners about the history of the grounds and the link to the Irish.

Ale House is a hidden gem. We found it by chance and have been coming back since. A visit to Harties is not complete until we have had beer and pizza at Ale House. Like the name suggests, Ale House is a brewery. They have the most wonderful beers (and I hate beer) which you will not find anywhere else. The last time we were there they had Buchu and Chili Beer on tap. We could net get enough and ended up taking 2L bottles of beer home. They also offer the best pizza with an abundance of toppings. The pizza man works his magic. The pizzas are also super cheap (R75 for any pizza, no matter the toppings). You will not get what Ale House offers elsewhere. We often wish Ale House was closer to home so that we could go more often. Ale House is definitely one in a million. This place should be on your bucket list.

Great place, very quiet which is super relaxing. Home made selection of beer is just the best. Love coming here, my favorite place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few hours.

Had the best thin crust Pizza. Try the smelly Italian. Nice relaxing environment. The gravel road is a bit rough going there for smaller cars.

Very late back environment where you can go enjoy there ale and get a tasty pizza. A bit of a dirt road to get to the place. Nice grass area surrounded by cattle. Must try there pizza. Worth a trip out. Just don't be in a hurry. Also live music over weekends

A very special place run by very special people who generously go out of their way to make each visit special. Best and extremely unique beer and pizzas, with unique and always fresh ingredients, this side of the Mississippi AND Zambezi, hands down. If you like the conventional, this is not for you. If you like the unique and special, don't drive within 100kms without stopping in. If you do, take your time, enjoy the beer and food, but also the surroundings. Great place to park off for a few hours and forget about the stresses of life.

We've not been to the Irish Ale House for some years. Fortunately the road to thd pub has improved . The beer and pizza's are still awesome 👌. We were surprised how quiet the place was ....Hopefully it's just seasonal.

You will wait for your food here Even thought the place has a really nice vibe. Reasonable pricing.and good food. Their bucu beer is really great, red ale not so much. Service is extremely slow, you will lose over 4 hours waiting for a simple Pizza here. DO NOT come if you are time conceous.

Pizzas are amazing however we waited almost 3 hours for our order after the staff didn't make them because they were "unsure" of the order so instead of coming to confirm it they just left it. Staff super slow. Not sure we will be back unfortunately.
