I liked this restaurant although I didn't eat but had cocktails only. It has nice views when seating outside. Their food looks nice and appetising on the menu. The customer service is good also. I'll definitely come back for cocktails and that time I'll eat.

I went to this News Cafe this afternoon hoping for a great lunch after receiving exciting news, but what a bad decision! First the wings were stale and we returned them. My oxtail was the worst: 4 pieces of dry, tasteless meat, dunked in a bowl full of water-like gravy, with chucks of carrot. I don't want to even talk about the mashed potatoes that was served with the oxtail, it was lumpy. I'm asking myself if they have proper chef. Never heard of a chef who can't make mashed potatoes and oxtail!! I will never set my foot there again

More manages than stuff slow service but given the situation the waiters did all they could

Went there for my birthday and booked tables for 25 to 30 people in advanced. Lulu assisted with booking and also the other servers made sure that we were fine throughout the night. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. All of the drinks were well made. I enjoyed my entire experience and so did all of my guests. Even the bathrooms were clean and neat. Definitely a 10/10. The music was also great and everyone had a great time. Looking forward to going there again. My photo quality wasn't great but everything was great.

Chilled spot ..the waitress was lovely..it's clean tho staff member( foreign national lady)was on the fone and just too loud for my liking..not child friendly at all..no play area watsoever otherwise overall it's a chilled spot I could do it again anyday

We arrived at 9:28. My son asked the waiter for an ash tray. Waited 10 min so he got up to fetch the ash tray. Another 12 min before waiter took our order for something to drink, 45 minutes for our coffee & coke (after my son went to the counter asking about our order), placed our food order, another 40 min waiting for the food. 4 of or 5 where finished eating before the last dish was served. This was the most terrible service at Nescafe Jean Ave

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Can practice tee-off on the driving range l, enjoy some drinks and delicious food. Personal experience, their braai broodjies, steaks and baskets are top notch.

Ordered the hangover fried rice and an omelet via uber eats.... Food had no seasoning, rice was over cooked and the mince was awful... the omelet was dry, no seasoning, mushrooms werent cooked, and onions were cooked with so much balsamic vinegar, that it made the omelet sour....sadly the food was not what I was expecting ....I have to say the food was packaged really well, and presentation was OK...

Wow. The owner is super friendly and caring. The bacon was crispy. Really good french toast. The chai spiced tea was one of the best I have had. Great menu. Definately will recomend it to friends.

Went there Last night.. It was pretty chilled and I got the best service from Alex.... He was super sweet and friendly ❤️

My visit today (my third) was a huge disappointment. My first two visits were perfect but today was different. There were very few customers with many waiters/waitresses milling around entrance doing nothing. I left 15 minutes later after realizing that no one was going to take my order. I expressed my disappointment as I was leaving and two waitresses just stared at me!

Chips were so old. It was soft- like after being in a fridge for two days. Burger was nice though

The food was nice, however, not worth the long wait. Also, the restaurant wasn't busy when we were there, and still the waiters sat in a corner while we had to call for card machines, etc.

Didnt spend much time there but your do have good people working for you there, keep it up

It took more than 30 minutes to prepare my take-away meal consisting of 1 portion of chicken livers and two beef kebabs. When i got home my kebabs were not in the bag and did i have to drive back all the way. The manager and waitress was very appologetic however and even doubled up my order of kebabs as a sign of goodwill.

Awesome experience the vibe is back I ordered a platter which was delicious! It's been recently renovated so the place looks exquisite!

News Cafe has reopened after the sinkhole was repaired. Looking great, comfy outdoor seating, wide menu selection and the meal was fantastic! Worth it to support them 😏

Nice vibe with a modern upmarket feel. Always a great place to kuier en catch up. Good food during the day with the owner always focused on service. Cocktails and drinks at night is great!

It's not quite busy, it's actually very quiet but they've got great service

During the day is such a quiet place that can be used for meetings and gatherings but starting from 4pm it become very noisy since its a bar they surve good meals there and they also have an outside sitting

Went there for the 1st time since the pandemic. Great as always and enjoyed my favourite meal, wings and chips

It has been a horrible experience. I arrived with my girlfriend we ordered Heineken draughts and firstly when they arrived, the one was way more than the other and when I asked about that and the waiter walked away. Secondly there was something floating around in one of the drinks. The service has been very slow and horrible. On top of all that there was no management in the restaurant, we had to wait 5+min. This is bad service and I'm not returning to this place again.

The food is amazing!
