Great atmosphere, food was a bit over fried but still good.

What an unassuming little place. The decor and setting is pub like, but the food is worthy of the best 5 star restaurants. Service was very good.

Good food at very reasonable prices. The place was extremely busy (which is always a good indication of what to expect) and we got a table next to the kiddies play area which unfortunately for us was very loud with all the screaming kids.

Their food quality has diminished some. And they do not understand how to make a rare steak. I've ordered steak there a few times, always asked for rare, always got medium to well done. And the sauces you can order are very expensive for the quality and quantity you get

Very good food. Very nice atmosphere. Child friendly. Awesome prices and specials. The only complaint I have was to receive my steak and chips on a wooden plate. That really didn't look good at all. Why not using the normal white plate as usually? The steak sauce leaked all over the table from the wooden plate.

Had a great birthday party here. Ample seating outside for parties. Child friendly play area. Great platters and steaks.

We went last night to get dinner, the jam jars were amazing but the food was where it went wrong. I order a saucy chicken burger with the veggies and the waiter bought a beef burger with fries. We also didn't see the waiter at all when we started eating to order another round of drinks. The nachos we're good

What a lovely place to relax and eat. There food is great and very reasonably priced with plenty of specials. The staff are efficient and very friendly. I just love this place and I will definately become a regular.

Don't bother visiting this place during loadshedding; most menu items are unavailable during power outages. My meal eventually arrived - cold. Slow and indifferent service. Maybe it was just a bad night?

A great place to take the family for a Sunday lunch or to experience the smell of braai and the sound of rugby on the big screen. They have a nice kids play area too. Most importantly, the food was delicious! We really enjoy it everytime we go.

The service was not so great to be honest. The waiter had a terrible attitude. Perhaps he had a hangover or something. The food is well priced and delicious. There is a nice playground for kids the batthrooms are clean. When you enter it is bigger than you wpuld expect. Wohld rate it much higher if the waiter had a better attitude.

Hands down one of the better places to go to in the area. Service is always outstanding. Food is always amazing and well priced for what you get. Great job to everyone that I have met. Keep it up. Oh beer specials on Tuesday and Wednesday amazing.

The food was very good, service was good during the day but when shift change happened it was non existent. A fight broke out sometime just before 8. I am disgusted about the way that it was dealt with. There was a female manager on duty who could not get the situation under control. The two men hit each other and the two women as well. Both couples had children and we where there with children too and there was other kids with other people as well. All of this happened in full view of everyone and all the kids. Management failed to remove these barbaric people from the premises. You should either get someone capable of managing situations like this better or rather remove the kiddies area to avoid families from bringing their young kids there.

Swak service. Used to love this place really. Chow was so overcooked. Not worth it anymore. Added items on the bill that wasn't given.

I've only had the meat platter here 3 times now. But every time it's brilliant. And the food is so incredibly affordable. Watched some of the world cup games here and vibe is very relaxed. Families with children will have to look at the weather before going. Inside is more like a bar. But outside is great and there are children play areas. Highly recommended going

Our favorite local bar/restaurant that is kid friendly. And it goes without saying that they have the best Nachos Pizza I've ever had. If you have not tried it, you are sorely missing out. It will ruin any other place's Nachos pizza for you.

Lets start off with the amazing atmosphere, it was laid back which can be easily enjoyed, the staff was friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately I did not try any of their dishes except the brandy special. But all and all Blackwood's was a very fun venue.

The food is super good, well priced and generous. They have great drink specials otherwise the drinks are the going rate but not exorbitant. There is a big screen and a generator. Never had an issue with any of the staff at all. They've always been helpful. Will continue to support them.

If you're looking for a family-type-of-pub then this is the place to be. Platters with heaps of meat, enormous onion rings and good slap chips are served. Meat lovers, dig in! If sitting and eating in an area where people smoke, rather refrain from visiting. But for good service and good food, Blackwood gets 4stars all the way round!

The food was good. Portions large. Service good. As a non smoker there are no proper seating. We were put in a dingy corner where the waiters do there admin. As non smokers (my husband has nedical problems can't be expised) we felt totally unwelcome. Surely a plan can be made to accommodate non smokers. Very concerning that young children were allowed to sit with people smoking. It is against the law. Would love to go back as food was good but never again. I will not be put in a dirty dingy corner again.

Great place! Portions generous and prices very reasonable. On top of that it was really delicious. You can really try the nachos and the double "braaibroodjie"...

Today I can say you have disappointed us with the bad service. We came here just after 6 saw it was busy so we ordered early that the kids can eat as it is a school night. It is 20:24 and my one son only received his food now. Table next to us had to wait an hour just to get drinks. We are very frequent clients of yours but tonight made us and many other of your patrons angry.

Havent been here for about a year. First day back and was helped by Cindy. Very amazing and professional person. I love my steaks blye rare and i asked her to please make sure and she did. Well done and thank you for making this a great anniversary lunch. She needs a raise :)

The service was great, just was a bit busy and it took a while for our food and drinks to come, but was an awesome experience and the music Playlist was well chosen!

Value for money awesome food there is nothing bad to say about this place I really can't wait to visit them again the staff are on the ball and it is truly 1 of my favorite places to be now there prices are very reasonable too. The food is out of this world. You get what you pay for. There is a kiddies entertainment area which is a + for me. Awesome vibe and very friendly staff. Have to say again the food is out of this world. We had different plates of food and everything single thing was just fantastic. Will recommend anyone to go to Blackwoods, you will not regret it.

Food was really bad, ordered nachos and the chicken was raw. The service was really bad, had to call the waiter to get drinks, forgot some orders, our table was filthy hardly ever cleared I and never brought ashtrays to the table, we used the tins and.bottles that were never cleared off the table. The table next to us was left dirty for nearly 2 hours after the customers at that table left. Then told us our bill did not tally up and there was no tip included. We showed him that it did add up. Worst service. Didn't see a manager until we were told that they were closing. Didn't even ask if we enjoyed our evening. It is a pity because been there before and the guy that served us was brilliant and the food was awesome. Unfortunately won't be going back there.

For national heritage/braii day blackwoods had a smaller menus but just so freaking delicious. Drinks were plenty, the atmosphere was open and inviting and the meat... Grilled or BRAIIed to perfection.
