Went to Oppiplaas yesterday,weather was cold decided to sit inside.The waiter was friendly (Johnas).the food seved was generous portions & tastey. The ladies had beef snictchel with chip & veggies, which they enjoyed.I had a 200gm Rump steak with jalapeños & cheese sauce with chips. Which was done just the way I like it medium rare.Also nice & juicy & tender. Will definitely Come back.Good value for money.

Ample parking, easy to reach from the main roads and reliable car guard to ensure your vehicle safety. Very spacious inside with adequate seating and friendly quick service. The food is exemplary,served warm and tasty. Pricing is fair and good value.

Brilliant place, with cooling spray jets. The food is out of this world, and the pap and kaiing is amazing for breakfast really filling. I've been there twice so far and looking forward to my next visit

We're a group of friends who meet up every now and then to catch up. This time we chose to have breakfast at Oppiplaas and were delighted that they have a smoking area as some eateries have done away with their smoking areas. Their menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. They are fairly priced and you definitely get your money's worth. The staff are friendly and professional. I think they serve the best kaiings by far but the rest of what we ordered were just as awesome. We will return for sure.

We booked a big lapa for my moms bday. When we got there there were still people sitting in our booked area. When the rest of our party arrived there were not enough tables and it was embarrising. We had to wait an eternity for a waiter. For our big party ee had eventually 1 waiter running around. I must take my hat off for him as we had about 10 different bills and they were all correct. Well done!! The food - AWESOME and very very affordable. BIG VARIETY and it make it difficult to choose as all the dishes look devine!!! Bathrooms really neat and clean. Nice vibe and atmosphere. Will defnitely recomend people to visit and eat. Parking also safe as there are people watching your vehicle while you relax. After all the hassles in the beginning it was still a awesome afternoon.

When we arrived the waiters seemed a bit confused not knowing where to go or what to do. Luckily everything became better after the initial confusion. The food was delicious and great value for money. I want to suggest an up size on their Cappuccino - it is a bit small. The pap and kaiings were nice as usual.

Open air and casual. Clean and Covid19 compliant 😷. Great kids corner with games and a little tuck shop. Oppiplaas decor sets a rustic and relaxing tone, love the old signage and Caltex bunny pointing to the restrooms 🚻. The menu offers a good variety of dishes at reasonable prizes in line with the the rest of Waverley / Moot area. Do ask for daily specials on food and drinks. Good selection of commercial and craft beers on tap including Oppiplaas own brew 🍺 Stopped for a quick lunch while working in the area. Free WiFi and plugs available, although a bit noisy as a work environment. 💻 Sections offer different environments, including outside patio, closed smoking area, kids corner, leather shop and beach bar. Would be great for a night out with friends or party venue. Staff were friendly and helpful. All considered, I can recommend and would visit again if I'm in the area.

We ordered pap and kaaiings, second time we are informed it's out of stock.( We don't stay near Oppiplaas) When I said then cancel the complete order ,because out of 8 People, 3 now had to re order, after waiting for an hour. Then comes a man to the table and say, sorry mistake, all the food is already made, but he found kaaiings and we just need to wait a few minutes more. 2 x Rugby baskets, funny enough the two baskets was not filled with the same ingredients as per menu. Garlic snails, Biltong and Boerewors pizza, 400g T bone with veggies. The T bone had no bone in and the spinach was sour. I called the manager, he decided to give a free Rum and Coke special, to apologize for the food... I was having a fruit cocktail, not alcoholic beverage. And he credit a R100 to my son's bill. But the T-Bone, snails and Rugby basket was on another bill. So poor service delivery! The wooden rack my T-Bone was served one was filled with old dried tomato sauce, no one at our table had tomato sauce. The snails was not cleaned properly.

Very big inside under roofing, if you feel you might wanna have fun farm stile put on a cowboy hat and have fun with loads of country music and live performance entertainment, enjoy and kick off the stress, food and drink available, thank you Oppiplaas for a Great evening

Approaching our late 30's, me, my brothers and friends, as well as most our age, want to spend a sunny summer Saturday afternoon at a place where your kids can roam around, while you reconnect with friends. A restaurant that still gives you that feeling of being outside in Nature, as their tables are in sections of cobbled stones, with walkways inbetween the trees, family friendly as well as a place to remember where you came from. With a well spread Menu, delicious food at very reasonable ranges, and a variety of local beer and wine, Oppiplaas is a great place to spend time with friends and family, in nature, yet at a Restaurant, with a "lekker" ice cold beer in hand.

We had a wonderfull breakfast here and I would like to invite each and every one to experience the nice vibe here atleast once, after that you will want to come back!!!

I have had a great experience dinning on multiple occasions at Oppiplaas. 1. It's Dog friendly which is GREAT!! I 99% only go to pet friendly restaurants. 2. Really great value for money, large portions for a very reasonable price and also great specials. 3. Nice atmosphere with a large kids area, music and TVs for sport. Will definitely be one of your regular customers! A gem in the moot! Keep up the great work!

Good place for a breakfast in the open air. Friendly staff and good prices. Might be different at other times given the prominent Richelieu sign.

The atmosphere was absolutely delightful. The entertainment they had was impeccable. Wow !!!

Yesterday was our first time there and we were not disappointed. The food was really good, the service from our waiter was speedy and on point and it's relatively cheap compared to most places. What I like about this place the most is that even though it was almost full, there is ample spacing between all the tables so it doesn't feel crowded at all. I recommend the saucy burger or the rump steak and veggies.

Definitely a lovely place. The food was wholesome and tasty, although the service was a little slow... The prices are AMAZING for the amount of food you get and it's real value for money! Would definitely recommend it! The bathrooms are also out-of this world cool and so clean and well kept! 👌

We enjoyed the food and drink. The waiter was quick and very friendly. The place is very beautiful. Only wish there was soft music playing.

First time visiting Oppiplaas. Waiter was friendly but the food was terrible. I basically just ate the chips from the basket. The calamari I just took a bite and didn't eat the rest. The chicken rissoles were not good. I didn't even bother tasting the chicken wings as it was cold and by this time I was very disappointed. The milkshake... The cream was off. I was totally disappointed as I have always wanted to go to this place.

Good service Excellent food But we were there on a Sunday and many things not available, now I don't mind, because it's not the things I wanted to ordered, but when I asked the waiter if this often happens he said yes, so then if this is an occasion that happens often, why don't plan better. That's all I'm asking now? Just feels like there motto is, take what you get. But as I said it was not the things I wanted, so I still love the place, just think owners should plan better. But otherwise awesome setting and friendly staff

Fabulous!! The breakfast excellent! Service good. Prices ok. Setup: very very nice.

Food was lovely. If I may give some advice. Let the waiters write down and repeat the order. The wrong eggs in the wrong plate and the tomato in the wrong plate . That is not on the kitchen. They read what they get. The service is a bit slow but the place was very busy. Just make sure orders the customers get is not wrong. Your prices are good and value for money. Just work on minor detail and you will thrive

Lovely relaxed ambiance, seating under shady trees. Staff are of the best with generous helpings of food to match- the burgers are awesome. Good value for your buck and definitely worth a visit. We will be back

Oppiplaas personnel is very attentive. You don't have to wait to be serve. It is nice and clean. There is also a play room for small children. All in all. My experience was great.

The staff were great, as was the food quality. Toilets were nice and clean, and the seating area was nice. They have a fine mist spray available to cool you down, as Pretoria gets really hot! All round a great place, and plenty of parking in the open area in front.

Interesting environment with coffee bar, bar, pizza oven, undercover and outside seating, private spaces for events, a few stores and tables for selected shopping. This provides a nice atmosphere for informal dining and a place to 'chill'. The menu has a good variety, but we were there for breakfast so did not get to taste some of the other items, but the food carried past us looked appetizing, and portions looked generous. There were a few sweet items on the menu which were not available, because we visited for quite a while, so some wanted a sweet snack before we left. Nevertheless the food was enjoyable. It was a cold day so our outside seating was not ideal, but we were a large group so inside seating was not available since the place was quite full. Parking is right outside the venue and although it is dusty, there are staff members on duty to watch the cars. The atmosphere and variety make it worth going back. We will be back to try some of the other dishes.

It was that night when we were there, but the service is outstanding. We were helped out by a new waiter named Blessing, and for someone new, she did an excellent job!
