Food was superb... Very nicely presented and was packed with flavour... The place kind of lacked in ambience... Seemed very quiet inside and you could easily hear everyone's conversations.. the view overlooking the orchid is so peaceful.

Friendly welcoming with beautiful table setting. Service is very fast, Polite, our waitress, was friendly. Food is plated beautifully and tastes just as delicious. Beautiful scenery and very warm atmosphere. Recommend the sushi starter. Will definitely return!

Excellent in every way. The food was delicious and well presented. The service was professional and quick. The setting is peaceful and the gardens are beautiful. The restaurant deserves its good reputation. It was quiet during a weekday lunch but it gets very busy on weekends. Make sure to book if you want to secure a seat.

My best restaurant for the past year. My best fillet so far! I have waited over two years to eat here. Every time I am in the area I try to call and they were fully booked. I tried today and with a stroke of providence we got a table. The food was absolutely heavenly. This is a proper Bistro. The food prepared with the proper respect and culinary finesse that you can expect from a five star Bistro. Thank you Silver Orange, I truly appreciate the care you took with preparing a amazing meal.

World Class!!! The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has a tranquil and relaxed country feel. The food is fresh, tasty and generous, clearly made with love. This was such a beautiful experience. From the entrance to the dinner table, it was just beautiful. Walking into the area you are greeted by a beautiful garden lead by beautiful lighting on the sides of the stepping stonea. A vintage themed setting, with a collective of different types of mirrors on the wall of the room my friends and I had dinner. The food was presented by our wonderful and very patient waitress and waitor seing that we were a large table. The presentation of each dish was 👌. I speak for myself when I say my Ostrich fillet with cranberry and port sauce was delicious. My mixed berry and pavlova just as beautiful and delicious. This restaurant gets a 10/10 👌😎.

I have been coming to Silver Orange Bistro for almost a decade and with every visit - whether it is just for lunch or to celebrate a special occasion - my expectations are met. Few restaurants in the country bother to exceed service standards, here all the staff is well trained, kind and courteous. David was amazing the last time I went. I go there for a break from the city and the beautiful food. The Duck & Fig Samoosa starter is always a win (could've used a bit more ginger) , tried out their Seared Salmon for my main (paired with chickpeas - the combos were communicating) and Citrus-infused Chocolate Cake for dessert (just heaven). The menu hasn't seen dramatic changes over the years and is executed to perfection, with presentation, flavour profiling, portion size and overall value for money making it worth sharing with friends and strangers as a highly recommended must-go spot. From where I come from, the drive is long (I still underestimate how long it takes to get there, ask me how...). When you finally arrive, it all feels worth it - the citrus orchard is wonderful to walk through and hear distant laughter from Gin-ed up guests at Almost Orange (light vibes - they serve up cocktails and platters in a garden setting). We have many great restaurants in the city but none can replicate the ambiance and attention to detail you'll find at Silver Orange Bistro.

We had our wedding anniversary lunch here. The food was great, good value for money, and the setting is lovely. We had the pork belly and duck samoosa starters, and ribeye and pork belly mains. The portions are large, took a takeaway and didn't have space for dessert. Had a bit of a hickup with the online booking, completed and submitted but it didn't register so had to phone to book (so our typed special requests didn't make it through). Great menu, slightly tricky to navigate for pregnancy safe options (ie. soft cheeses, rare meats, alcohol based sauces).

Great restaurant located on a beautiful orange orchid. Great variety on the menu including vegetarian options. Food beautifully presented and tastes amazing. Staff very friendly and attentive. Beautiful setting in a tranquil garden. Can access the orchid from the restaurant at no additional cost. In house products such as preserves and fresh fruits available. A separate gin and tapas bar located within the orchid. Great place to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend it and will be returning.

Sublime flavours, excellent quality - super happybwithbmy culinary experience! Inside was cold, maybe fireplace lit would have made it cozy .... the red wine helped, a tasteful winelist! Overall excellent - must try. Thank you

A gem!!! The restaurant has an outside sitting place overlooking a well maintained garden which has some water fountains. During the night when there is some silence you can enjoy the sounds from the fountain some birds. I had a lamb shank which melted in my tongue. The best lamb shank i ever had. Malva pudding for dessert. Food presentation was on point. Our waiter was jovial and very helpful. Make sure you make a reservation looks like jt gets full sometimes. The best part was taking a walk in the garden after our meal. Would definitely visit again.

A beautiful spot for a meal in Hartebeespoort. We also took a walk through the orange groves. We had breakfast and everything was delicious, the portions were good sizes.

It was a spur of the moment decision that we decided on this restaurant... We have dined there before but it was years ago before our children. Got there, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere on a Friday evening 19:00. Our waiter spoke fluent Afrikaans and knew the menu's like the back of his palm. He told us about the specials and I was hooked on the Lambshank! Wife decided on the Fillet and Prawns and it WAS DELICIOUS!!! I Highly recommend them for a Relaxing time ou with your Partner like a Dinner Date!!! Will see us definitely again!!!

Fantastic venue, well worth strolling through once you've eaten. I had breakfast, the portions are inadequate and prices out of proportion to the quantity. Felt like I had to order a second meal to fill up. I think the lunch and dinner menus may well be worth investigating.

What an amazing experience. The food is next level, service from our waiter was extremely professional and he was very polite and friendly. If you want to get out of the normal run of the mill restaurants and experience something different, you need to visit them.

We popped into Silver Orange Bistro for lunch. The food was exquisite. Had the Mediterranean Plate as a starter and vegetarian curry for lunch. Was too full for dessert. There are two restaurants on the property Silver Orange Bistro (quiet and fine dining vibes - kids allowed) and Almost Orange (Vibey, Tapas and Wine Lounge - no under 16s allowed). I'd recommend going to Silver Orange for food and then Almost Orange for drinks. Don't rock up without a booking, you won't find a table.

The silver orange bistro was such a delight to visit. The place is stunning and the food as delicious. The menu is concise yet offers variety. We went out for a birthday and they catered for that with a happy birthday on tje dessert place. They really put in the effort and it's appreciated.

Beautiful setting - rather Expensive Menu-service efficient but little passion - food pretty presentation - overall a little dissappointed due to excellent prior reputation - expected excellence and energy all around- will try again for Special occasion Dinner next time

We visited the Silver Orange Bistro on recommendation from the Air BnB host. The service is exceptional with well-trained wait staff. The sushi starter is easily the best sushi we have tasted yet. My husband loved the flavour profile of the steak and marrowboneand my seafood stew was enough to feed 3! Awesome experience.
