Decent food, good service and a beautiful view over the dam. Well recommended.

We went here for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food was prefect with a perfectly cooked steak, chicken schnitzel that was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The view is beautiful and the grounds around the restaurant are well looked after. Will definitely go here again when in the area.

Went here for a relaxing afternoon of drinks and talking with some friends - the atmosphere was perfect. We never went inside though, but were still greeted by a waitress on arrival. Can't comment on the main course meals, but the desserts were good. Drinks pricing varied a bit, but was good otherwise. The view was naturally excellent and relaxed. The locals and other visitors were also pleasant additions to the atmosphere. The accèss controlled estate gives some peace of mind for vehicle safety in an area that is otherwise rife with loiterers. Definitely intend to visit again.

Prawns were overcooked like tyres, Mutton Curry = Sweet strew with carrots. (not even fresh chilies could save it) Owner doesn't take critisism well. Left 3 full meals at the table and paid over R 1000 for this sit down (no alcohol was drank) Definately wont be back here - yuck!

I've said it before ... and will say it again .... chips to die for!!!!! I don't know their recipe ... don't really care - but it's fresh, crisp outside and soft inside ... absolutely delicious! Yesterday for brunch Hein Pretorius enjoyed a Farmhouse breakfast - I just wanted chips! The view over the dam is just great - it makes you feel like you're on holiday .... well worth the visit!! 19/6/2021 Sat in the sun, gazed over the Hartbeespoort Dam. Hein had the Bacon and Cheese burger (delicious) and I had the starter of Firecracker Squid and chips. Squid was soft and tender and those chips ... worth the drive!!!! 2/2021 Their resident female kitty, Storm, enjoyed our attention. After a disastrous Benedict at Culinary Table (don't know what that sauce was, but it defo wasn't Hollandaise), I decided to be brave and order it here. What a delight! Sauce was fantastic! Hein had a Boerie breakfast - great start to any day. And their chips ... oh their chips!!!!

Beautiful place to visit. Great view. Very clean. Great food and service. Good value for money. We enjoy the tables placed outside in the shade of a beautiful tree but there are tables on a veranda and inside too. Varies from casual to classy which is great. Great menu selection. So far we have tried the tramezzini, burgers and pizza all excellent. 400g Hake is absolutely exceptional!! Cappuccino is excellent too.

First thing's first, the food here is amazing 🤤. I personally had the chicken prego with fries and I tell you, it was delicious 👌🏾. Now like the suggests, they're near the lake, and what a view of the lake they have. They have a pool too and a golf course. I haven't tried the pool or played on their golf course, so I can't share my opinion on them but from the smiles of the people who did, I can say they enjoyed it greatly. The setting was my personal favorite. It was resort like, we even saw a little monkey running around with some food in his hand. If this is something you think you'd enjoy I would highly encourage you to give it a try, you won't be disappointed. 😉

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. Whilst we experienced a mix up with the order and unfortunately some slow service, the food more than made up for it with generous, tasty portions. I will be more than happy to return and give the front of house a chance to show their mettle. All in all, well worth the visit. So Friday the 24th January, we went back to celebrate my wife's birthday but this time for dinner, not lunch. Well what an awesome visit! Angelina, our Waitress, was absolutely awesome and the food once again generous in serving size and as tasty as you can expect. You showed us your mettle Dockside and as they say in the classics : I'll be back!

Situated in an Estate on the banks of Hartbeespoort dam this was an absolute surprise. Beautiful setting and the foods tasty and ample. This was for sure the best pepersaus I have ever had 👌👌👌 The staff are friendly and inviting. Well done to all staff and management.

I placed an order to be delivered to a lodge where I am staying, called after 30 minutes of not getting feedback, and I was assured that the food will be delivered within 30 minutes. 1 hr 30 minutes after that call, I have called numerous times to no success to follow up on my order. The phones are simply not being answered. Absolutely shocking service received

The restaurant is within an estate, but easy of access all you need to do is inform them that you going to the restaurant they quickly call and require your ID just like any access area.. The restaurant is big and allows opportunity to seat in or outside depending on your mood, if you want breeze and mood lifter seat outside and enjoy the view of the close range of the dam.. There are swings and pools for kid’s entertainment however we heard it’s for residents only (I believe that’s pool only) NB: it’s not luxury so look and feel are okay and so does that apply to food.. Magret was great waitress 😊

Wooooooow!!!! Firstly what a beautiful place, interior, outside is breathtaking, there's a place for kids to swim and play. Food well cooked, well presented. I had Dockside Delight cocktail 👌. Staff very welcoming!!!! My friend wasn't feeling well and a guy with dreadlocks came to check if we were fine and offered her nice cold water, without being called. Sorry I didn't get his name. Food is very affordable at low cost. It's right next to Magalies Boat cruise area...

Great place ! Lovely view of the dam and boat moor. Whilst you overlook the pool and kids area which is great so you can keep an eye on your little peeps while they're playing and your relaxing. The owner is SUCH a nice guy!

The chocolate volcano is a lovely treat to warm any cold morning for all chocolate lovers. The place has beautiful views and is where I come to restore my soul when fatigued from work. I discovered it in 2020 just before the second COVID 19 wave in SA. Their service was as great as it is now.

The inside of the restaurant isn't pleasant, at least outside you can enjoy the view of the dam. Food wasn't nice at all, we had the Lamb curry. If you know your curry or Stew, you definitely won't enjoy this one. We couldn't finish it honestly. The service from the guy serving us was good

What a lovely restaurant to eat at. Its got a great vibe and it's so beautiful there and also kid friendly. I had a ladies rump with chips and vegetables and it was devine. It was a nice visit!
