An okay French experience 🇫🇷 The staff were neutral to me (not rude but not friendly). The food was tasty and I absolutely recommend their huge dagwood burger 🍔 The restaurant’s inside seating has air conditioning 🪭 They play lovely French style music which adds nice atmosphere 🎶🎼 They should consider closing the doors because there were way too many flies and there were chickens walking around the restaurant 🪰🐓 You can expect to spend nothing less than R150pp since they only have a couple of dishes under R100.

Beautiful venue, fantastic food and excellent service. Little Paris offers a very special experience and French Toast is the perfect place to dine at if you are looking for something different. The food is yummy and deciding what to get is difficult because everything looks amazing!! There are amazing photo opportunities everywhere, and the Eiffel Tower overlooking the river and the locks bridge are a highlight. The atmosphere that has been created at Little Paris, and especially French Toast, really transports you to Paris. A lot of details was put into everything to make this venue special! We loved all of the peacocks and cats that could be seen walking around the venue! We went during the week, and most of the tables were filled; so I would suggest getting there early over the weekend as there will probably be a bit of a wait. French Toast adheres strictly to Covid protocols. This definitely is a restaurant that everyone should experience!! Follow @heloisetravels for more reviews and photos.

Very ideal for a weekend brunch! The restaurant serves very delicious food and in sizable portions. So you better go there with a hungry stomach. Also, you better love French toast! In addition to the restaurant there is a bakery that sells delicious treats including macaroons. Two things I didn't like about the restaurant: 1. The place is very busy and the staff can be scarce and not attentive. Our waiter got some of our order wrong because he was not writing any of it down. 2. Most of the restaurant is outside and covered by corrugated iron roof. So when it is hot, they have some sort of mist sprinkler system spraying water from the roof to cool down the patrons. It can be irritating when the water is all over you and your food and drinks. When you finish enjoying the meal you can of course do the padlock ritual and snap beautiful photos under the Eiffel Tower 🗼

Novel "French market" like setting. Food, deli and eclectic gift store on site. Food fare is "good enough" though I wouldn't drive out there just for the coffee or French toast. One of the relatively "nicer" settings in Harties.

Nice little mock French village.very busy on weekends .have to book.they did it really well with the love bridge (like in Paris)where you can place a lock on the bridge that you have to buy from them . Few small stalls that sells bibs and bobs.aquarium also on the same premises .

Great French toast, all covid protocols adhered to as well. Lovely service from the staff and you maybe lucky to meet some friendly locals. Wonderful during off peak season, but extremely busy and there is a chance you may not get a good shot of the little Eiffel Tower. The weather is usually very hot and humid, even in winter, during the day. The surrounding areas are also pretty aesthetic and you could get some fantastic vintage shots

A stunning venue to walk around, enjoy the beautiful scenery and decor, enjoy the music, watch the ducks, peacocks and peahens, and have something divine to eat and drink. You can purchase a lock there or you can take your own. There is an engraving machine which you can use to engrave your lock. The atmosphere is very romantic and it feels like you are hours out of city life. The magnum milkshake is worth the visit on its own. It's not as sweet as you would think - it is perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness. The rest of the menu was an emotional struggle for me because everything looked so good. Judging on what we have had, I think they may be as good as it sounds. The only con that I had was the vegetable crisps (which is a personal preference) - I didn't feel like it complimented the dish at all, other than aesthetics. The waiters were so friendly and helpful. A mistake was made with our order but it was rectified in such a wonderful manner. Definitely a place to go if you are feeling for something different or celebrating something.

Its a nice place, food is nice BUT its NOT kid friendly, we arranged for an engagement party, nothing was set apon arrival. The waitress messed up all the orders, management should've sent us 2 waiters instead of the one that was struggling to help us. She did not even smile. All in all it wasn't a great experience.

What a beautiful place, it really feels like you in a small Cafe in Paris. Their food is unfortunately pricey but you need to look past it as it's worth it and really nicely presented. The service was also great

Had very high expectations for this restaurant but it failed to deliver in terms of the food. Drinks were good(coffee, milkshake and chai latte) and that was about it. We ordered the pastries to try out, however they were not fresh and flaky, tasted like they microwaved it before serving. For mains we had the farm breakfast, French toast cheese and egg and the beef fillet and onion marmalade. For a restaurant that has French toast as their signature base on each dish, you'd expect it to be perfect however all 3 dishes had very dry stale bread in the centre instead of having a fluffy souffle like texture that you'd expect from French toast. Think the chef did not soak the bread long enough in the egg mixture to absorb properly which resulted in this unpleasant horrible french toast. The other elements of the meals were good and presentation wad beautiful however the base which is the French toast spoiled it for us. Our waiter Ewald was attentive and looked after us which was the highlight of the meal. Overall was not a great experience and probably will not return. Will not recommend.

French Toast is a playful mini version of Paris in the North West. The little picturesque villa has a miniature Eiffel Tower that will transport you to a fairytale Paris. Another perfect photo opportunity is a mural of a Paris street. It has the Eiffel Tower in the background and a red Renault parked on the cobblestone road. @bassie_theadventurediva did a post and inspired me to come try this treasure. This restaurant is now on the top of my list for a breakfast or Lunch reward after a hike. Is that a thing? Do you also do that if so what is your favorite restaurant or pub? I had this scrumptious blackberries... And my husband went for a French toast burger. French Toast will not disappoint if you have a savory or a sweet tooth. Let me know when you have been there and what you think.

French Toast Koffie Kafee is a nice upmarket European themed place where you will find some great recreation of stuff from the city of Paris. With nice setup, great bistro and restaurants, this is a place where you can go every weekend or once a month. booking is essential else you will have to wait in queue. The place is Instagram photo hub where you can even leave a lock of your loved one on the small replica of Eiffel tower or street lights. You can take some vintage photos. Eat awesome food or cupcakes or just relax and enjoy the beauty. Must visit place in Hartbeespoort. Thanks

Presentation outstanding, but tasteless and not worth R500 for a toasted sandwich and two burgers. Never again will be buy food there. Even the side order of chips were like eating cardboard. A tourist trap. I just want to see how long this stays on site. My other review, yes negative just vanished off the site.

Follow @The_burger_rajah on FB and IG for more burger reviews: Just before the most recent lock down we ventured to @frenchtoastharties in Hartbeespoort. Here's how it went: 🍔: 8/10 🍟: N/A 🍺: 7/10 😷: 7/10 The burger of choice was the Pain Grillé Français burger. Buns replaced with French toast, crisp lettuce, a thick tomato slice, melted cheddar cheese, an extra large juicy chicken fillet topped with an egg. I was most impressed with how tender and flavourful the thick chicken fillet was. You don't expect it, but it all just works. Gets an 8 because the egg was slightly underdone. The restaurant doesn't do fries (sad, it would have completed the meal) but instead crispy fried onion rings and crunchy beetroot chips were served. Although we were looking to sample a few French (or European) beers we weren't really spoiled for choice in this regard with nothing on tap either. That said, the Windhoek draught came cold, fresh and really hit the spot. COVID safety initially seemed adequate with a temperature reading at the entrance as well as staff wearing their masks at all time but sadly this was not consistent. On the way out we'd noticed a few staff members near the kitchen without masks and a couple of people walk in without the entrance COVID station being manned. All-in-all, a little slice of Paris condensed and a menu that is truly unique. Great food, service to match and a great overall experience. P.S. if you're really hungry, try the Dagwood!

The set up is beautiful, like a little amusement park and the French vibe comes through with the background music, but the food I found a bit fast food like, I expected more of home made Danish or baguette sandwiches, French toast made out of light brioche, and also maybe a tarte tatin or a tarte flambée. Overall worth a visit. But I wouldn't buy the eiffel burger one more time cause of the mentioned reason above.

My husband and I visit French Toast Koffie Kafee at least once every year. Each time we've visited, we've had a lovely experience, with great service and even better food! 🤤 The menu boasts deliciousness, with options appealing to both sweet and savory lovers! And if the menu hasn't intrigued you enough, Angie will... 😁 Angie had a smile that you could see through any face mask 😉. She gave us really great service, and made a lasting impression. I highly recommend French Toast Koffie Kafee, and everything that goes with it.

The food is absolutely amazing and is all based around French toast. Well of course because it's supposed to be Paris ❤️. The only thing I would say is that they do take a bit long with your food otherwise if you aren't starving. It's definitely worth the wait. The food is fresh and all the combinations communicate.

This place is my favorite to visit in harties. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the food is always perfect. Plus the whole leaving a lock with an engraving is such a fun idea. I would definitely recommend this place as a must visit in harties.

We really enjoyed this experience. The whole restaurant is so pretty and allows for really beautiful photo opportunities with the Eiffesl Tower and all the locks. Menu was extensive but I think the plain French toast was the best option. I would definitely recommend. Think it might get crazy busy during the weekend but was lovely and quiet during the week Kids loved seeing something different

I first went to French Toast in 2015 and there was great hype and queues I to the establishment. The food right now is okay, it's not amazing. I would say the standard has declined. The French are known for great tasting food and the restaurant can do better. Covid protocols are observed, very spacious restaurant to have lots of people yet decently situated apart.

Stunning restaurant, lovely setting, amazing food, great staff, wonderful owner and a personal friend of mine! If you want a special meal experience that's not at your typical "big name chain restaurant," this is a place you cannot allow yourself never to visit! We highly recommend it!

If you’re looking to get a feel of mini Europe then this is the place for you. The meals are delicious, filling and affordable. I love love the mini ‘Eiffel Tower’ with a love lock bridge where you can attach an engraved padlock to the railings (at a small fee) with your SO, family and/or children and either throw the keys away or keep them. A nice short left from JHB with affordable and fun activities to do in the vicinity as well (we went quad biking after this - even though we were super stuffed and needed a nap lol). Perfect spot for brunch! The place was quite busy but the service was great.

Very expensive. But you pay for the experience! Overall the food was great and uniquely presented. But the portions was super small hence the huge the price. All the French toast of all the meals was chewy which was strange to us and new to old clients . But book ahead to not wait inline

My family and I have been frequent visitors to your restaurant for some time now, as we enjoy taking leisurely Sunday drives to explore the Harties area and its surroundings. Our visits have always been accompanied by the anticipation of indulging in delicious French Toast, which has been a cherished favourite of ours. Regrettably, I feel compelled to express our recent disappointment with our dining experiences at your restaurant, specifically during our last two visits. While we have always admired the ambiance, we cannot overlook the decline in the quality of both the food and the overall service. It has become difficult to justify the expenditure for what essentially amounts to a serving of bread, particularly considering the overall experience. Furthermore, the delay in serving our food during our last visits was concerning. Waiting extended periods for our meals to arrive at our tables only added to our frustration. To our dismay, the food we received was far from satisfactory. On both occasions, the food was either undercooked or served cold, significantly detracting from the overall dining experience. It is disheartening to provide this feedback, as we have genuinely enjoyed our previous visits and wished for nothing more than to continue supporting your restaurant. However, we believe that constructive criticism can be invaluable in prompting positive change. We urge you to reconsider the culinary aspects of your establishment and invest in enhancing the quality and consistency of your offerings. We believe that people are willing to pay for exceptional food and service, and we sincerely hope that you can restore the reputation of your restaurant to the standard we have come to appreciate.

Charming place, it kind of felt they didnt want us to stay long. Waiter was a bit pushy. Cake was excellent though and it says free but you either need to pay R20 pp or buy a lock or eat in to enter, this is where I kind of lost interest but decided to have a coffee.

I like the effort they put I this area to make it look like Paris, the explanation is not clear about how much you pay for the entrance … some people were paying and some not … we did not know which queue to follow some Were to purchase a lock, some for restaurant some for the “Eiffel tower”…I was curious to visit …

French Toast Koffie Kafee in Hartbeespoort is a charming cafe that serves up delicious food and excellent coffee. The menu is varied and includes a range of breakfast and lunch options, with something for everyone. The French toast, in particular, is a must-try, and the coffee is some of the best in the area. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel at home. The outdoor seating area is also lovely, with views of the beautiful Harties Eifel tower. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee or a leisurely meal, French Toast Koffie Kafee is a great choice.

A little French cafe at haarties. Friendly waiters, generous portions and an family friendly open setting. Peacocks roam around the restaurant as well as a sweet accordion player. A lot of French toast dishes on the menu; to be expected; but they all looked delicious. I went for the absolutely massive Eiffel tower burger. The lock bridge and Eiffel tower were fun attractions. You can purchase locks with your names engraved on to add to the bridges collection and profess your undying love to your partner.

Enjoyed a my afternoon with a friend and kids at The French Toast spot. It is really beautiful, peaceful and a great atmosphere us created by the lovely service and warm welcome. It was not full as it was during the week. We opted to sit in and have lunch which meant we could walk around for free. It is R20 entrance if you only want to walk in and take pictures or you could buy lovely locks that are engraved for R180 or R140. It is definitely worth going however there isn't much for young kids/toddlers to do. The menu has a variety of great meals too.

Throughout the day, we visited three locations, this place felt the least like any place in Europe. I gave the place two stars because the waiter "Given" was an intensely pleasant fellow. The place has a random small Eiffel tower ...just because. Someone thought it would be a good idea to enscribe locks with the names of lovers and connect those locks everywhere. All of those locks are now covered in rust thus the entire place looks like it is covered with a clam like infestation, thousands of ..things clinging to surfaces, it looks ghastly. At both of the other locations the menu offered bagets or croissants with Cheese and wine pairing whilst in the atmosphere of actual French music... Here they think "if we include the word 'French' ,then people will think : 'Paris '." Thus all you can order is French toast with a topping. Like French toast with peanut butter, or French toast with biltong. When they say this is "Little Paris " they are 100% accurate. It feels exactly like a very tiny piece of Parys in the Freestate. Recommend you give it a miss.

Had a special time here with my wife as we looked to do something outside of Johannesburg and so decided to come here. Worth the drive. It's really a wonderful concept and well executed. We really enjoyed our food here! Seems expensive but the servings are large and really worth the money. Recommend to couples or even just somewhere to go with friends to have a bit of a whimsical time!

We went there on a busy day and there weren't enough tables, so the staff took our name and number down and said that there should be a table ready in the next half an hour and that we would be called when once becomes available. 45 minutes later, we went to enquire about a table and were told to wait another 5 minutes for a call. Well, it's been over 24 hours and we still haven't received a call to say that our table is ready.

Good service, scrumptious food, and cosy atmosphere. French Toast perfectly combines everything you could possibly do with french toast with an authentic Parisian atmosphere to generate a very unique dining experience. We came here from Brunch on Saturday. What a delightful café. The food was absolutely scrumptious, with generous portions. It is a little bit more expensive than your average breakfast place but it is so worth it. The whole complex is really sweet. Lots of little shops to look around in and there is also the little Eiffel tower, where you can add a lock if you want to. Really worth a visit :)

It's basically Paris without the passport. From the cute Parisi an-styled bakery and shops, to the replica Eiffel tower overlooking a lake, you'll be transported to Paris at French Toast Koffie Kafee. Snap a picture by the tower or buy a lock to add to the collection left by couples, while you wait for a table (it might be a little longer since the number restrictions for social distancing - but is worth the wait.) The food is nothing short of scrumptious. French toast in more forms and styles than you can imagine. You'll definitely want to make it a regular visit, just so you have an excuse to try all the menu options!

The breakfast here is lovely. Unfortunately they do not cater for people with special dietary needs. They had no milk substitute options for their coffee which I was looking forward to since it was rather cold this morning. I settled for water and grabbed coffee afterwards down the road at Seattle. They use milk in their French toast recipe. I asked if they can use eggs only they refused. You can gather that I am lactose intolerant. Other than that, the eggs and bacon was cooked to perfection. Didn't try the sauce they gave me. The waiter couldn't confirm if it does not contain any dairy.

As a family, we prefer to sit together and enjoy our meal. We were first seated outside, but it was very hot and we wanted to move inside. The room with the airconditioner had 1 table with a family and several small 4 seater tables. We wanted to put two small tables together so that we do not feel cramped and uncomfortable and can enjoy the space while eating. A waiter came running and said NO, we cant do that, which we could not understand? We then asked to speak to the manager. A very RUDE & AGRESSIVE lady came to us and said that we cannot do it. I asked her why, and her reply was that it is in the rules, I asked her to please show me, she then replied that I must go look at your government rules? We know that social distancing is 1.5m, putting two tables together so that a family can eat together would have still allowed 2.5m from the one table(s) and 1.5m for the other. But because of the embarrassment and uncomfortable position she put us in, we as a family had no choice but to leave. We will NOT nor NEVER recommend any restaurant that treats its potential patrons the way French Toast did.

Great place for beautiful pictures. But due to restrictions, you wait in a Queue outside for about 30-60 minutes & you only get 3 minutes to take pictures by the Eiffel Tower. Disappointing but worth the one time only experience.

Had a very unpleasant experience today. Drove a long way from JHB to get milkshakes as a takeaway and was turned away because I did not want to sit down. I then called the number on the website to express my disappointment and was told by the manager that I should purchase a lock to get in or sit down. Manager insisted that they don't do takeaways but contrary to that, my sister was there 2 hours before me and was allowed to get takeaways. To be clear, I have in the past purchased takeaways and the attitude of both so called manager and staff today was absolutely pathetic.
